Guzzi Up Alpine Reviews
I had the pleasure of dining at this amazing restaurant, and from start to finish, the experience was exceptional. The moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly and seated promptly. The atmosphere was cozy yet stylish. The menu offered a great variety of dishes, and every item we ordered was bursting with flavor. The ingredients were clearly fresh, and the presentation was impressive. I highly recommend!
The wait for Lucia to open was so worth it! The prices are great, the food wonderful, and the service spot-on. Regan was our server, assisted by Carmen and Bash. I had the bucatini pasta with meatballs. Bucatini is my absolute favorite pasta but hard to find. It was perfectly al dente and the meatballs were tender and juicy. Tom had the ravioli. Again, perfectly cooked with a creamy cheese filling. And the lemon berry cake was to die for. You definitely don’t want to miss Lucia!
Excellent food and service! Will definitely be back.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, food is top notch!

Lovely dinner in Alpine with delicious food and a kitchen you can see into. Brave!
Great service. Food was excellent. Definitely in top 3 restaurants in the area.
Delicious, fresh Italian food with friendly service.
Superb. We should all be so fortunate as to have a restaurant this good nearby.
Our waitress Carmen was awesome! First time and we will definitely be back! Caesar salad was good and both our entrees were exceptional. My husband got the Cavatappi Polio and I did the lasagna special. Of course dessert was a must Tiramisu did not disappoint either. So nice to have another restaurant in Alpine that serves our community.
Stayed over in Alpine and decided on Lucia’s for dinner after reading reviews. Excellent choice! Gabby provided excellent service in this cozy little spot. Apparently building was an old full service gas station. Food was served hot with excellent flavor! Pasta tasted homemade, but Gabby told us owner doesn’t skimp on quality pasta. I had the chicken dish with a side of garlic lemon spinach. Also ordered a side of garlic knot rolls. Husband had the spaghetti. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. Got a piece of their pumpkin cheesecake, but so full from dinner got it to go. Only suggestion to owner of establishment is to add a small piece of garlic bread to each entree. Upon leaving when exiting to the right you can view the small kitchen where all the magic is mixed up! Great choice for dinner and best meal we had on our quick excursion to the area. Will definitely eat here again if in the area.
We couldn’t come in so we had it delivered! It was the best decision we made! We fed everyone three amazingly delicious Italian dishes that were as good as homemade! We highly recommend this lovely little place in our home away from home. They can accommodate vegetarians and gluten free folk without compromising taste. A+++
Staying in Alpine after long day at Big Ben... Boy did this hit the spot. Top tier Italian food comparable to fine dinning in major metros. All at very reasonable price. Highly recommend if staying in the area. Chill ambiance and interesting building.
Only had 15 minutes while my train made a stop in front of this restaurant and the two most wonderful ladies were able to get me food in less than 10 minutes while filling up my water bottle as well and being absolutely kind. Definitely a place I would spend more time at if it weren’t for my circumstances!
A true West Texas gem. My wife and I (both vegans) had the privilege of dining here during a recent visit to Alpine, and we were impressed with the vegan options.
What a delightful spot in Alpine! The service is friendly and efficient, the food is comforting and nostalgic and the house red wine is refreshing and thoroughly drinkable. Will be back often.
Good food and food service. I had the ravioli and it was YUMMY! save room for dessert. You won't regret it
Fantastic food and great atmosphere! Fresh, high quality food at a very reasonable price. Gracious service.

We were visiting Big Bend National Park and staying at The Holland Hotel in Alpine. We noticed the Lucia across from the hotel and looked up their rating. While Lucia had really good reviews, our experience was just ok and disappointing after reading the reviews. We had the garlic knots with pomarola as an appetizer which was okay. My wife had the funghi campanella/ wild mushrooms tossed with walnut pesto and trumpet pasta. She said it was okay but somewhat bland. I had the bucatini polpetta/ big homestyle meatballs over bucatini pasta in our Lucia marinara. It was decent but very bland. Service was decent but a little slow. Overall, it was a disappointing experience because the food was decent but without a lot of taste.

The service is awfully terrible so bad that I do not even want to go back to that place. The silverware they use is Korean silverware style and this is supposed to be an Italian restaurant and yet they use Korean size of spoon and fork I do not know where they get there knife but it’s terrible
