My lord, I stopped here quickly while passing through Brooklyn and I was blown away. Service was impeccable, it was like a small town coffee shop yet a bar. Everyone knew each other, and it was just so chic and nice. Food was insanely good and had some of the best pizza ever in my life. As someone with a huge appreciation for pistachio ice cream, theirs ranks second on my favorite pistachio ice cream ever ! And I’ve had a lot lol. For only $27 (before tip) this was amazing, you can’t find that price anywhere anymore.

So I’ve been three times in two weeks-alone each time: one for take-out, one seated outside in front and once on the back patio. Speaking of the patio, someone from Vogue recently gave a review, which was good for publicity, but didn’t share the details about what makes Bar Camillo a gem. The staff is friendly, inclusive, and hospitable with a hip, modern Italian vibe. Meantime the menu is rooted in tradition-the ancient style “pinsa” or Roman pizza with fermented dough and traditional toppings, eggplant parmigiana (which tasted just like my nonna’s or as good as any I’ve had in Italy) and traditional pastas. Some innovative cocktails at reasonable prices, a selection of good wines and beers and you really can’t go wrong here. Take-out lasagna was delicious and still crisp on the edges. I showed up in the rain and asked for a martini while I waited, which they got a kick out of. The sidewalk seating is stylish with covered separates “covid booths” and a couple of high-top tables. Patio also dent cozy and is mostly enclosed with a fabric ceiling, plants, and a natural wood and brick vibe. Come here for a cocktail and a snack (I recommend a negroni and the anchovies in buttered bread-the famed Recca anchovies of Sicily) or split a pinsa and a glass of wine with a friend, chat up the friendly staff, and plan a trip to Italy ASAP. A neighborhood staple. First time staying in Brooklyn and tried this spot out. Great for cocktails, especially negronis. I absolutely loved the mezcal negroni and got the anchovies and olives. Highly recommend for drinks and a snack.

Cozy spot, backyard space too. Had Cacio e Pepe macaroni and a sausage and broccoli rabe pizza both quite good. The Mac was a little salty but tasty. Only one hostess/bartender/waitress doing it all,but the service was good.

Really cool staff (with good drink suggestions—nailed it), beautiful backyard atmosphere, tasty cocktails and probably food too. The focaccia bread was amazing.

I didn't go in here for years because the front bar looks like a tight squeeze at a glance, but glad I finally stopped in here! Out back has a nice intimate dining room as well as a sort of half outdoor backyard area. The foccacia seems to be divisive but I love it! Crispy and different. Pizza options are really good here, somewhere inbetween personal size and one to share, which is a little challenging. Love this spot though.

Was just here for a baby shower and am still thinking about that decadent eggplant parm. The drinks packed a moderate, satisfying punch within an ambiance that exemplified a rare blend of elegance and welcoming comfort. Best of all, the staff were all warm, efficient, and attentive, even and especially with the littlest guests. Hope to be back soon!

Had a cozy dinner at Bar Camillo. Our server was really helpful, and shared some info on an order and made suggestions. I took her suggestion and was not disappointed! Nice atmosphere.

I ordered the margherita pizza to-go, so let's say we're grading on a bit of a curve. I really liked the simple tomato sauce and thought the crust was a great texture — crispy on the bottom but soft on top, mostly thin but still a bit pillowy. I liked that the basil came separately so it wouldn't burn or become soggy, but it also didn't stick very well after the journey home when the cheese had cooled a bit.

I had a fabulous experience hosting my birthday at Bar Camillo, the food was delicious and the staff was incredible and so accommodating when I had a last minute change to my party size. The value for experience is 10/10, highly recommend anyone planning to host a large dinner party in the Bedstuy area!

Visiting from Italy: mean Negroni! The Amatriciana Pinsa was very good. Love this restaurant. Was my bday and they give me shots with candles in it 🫠

Good local bar with great cocktails and bartenders! Downstairs there’s a little club space with a quality sound system. The DJ on Saturday was excellent, and I would check out the music more if they bring DJs like him back!

Nice place, chill vibes - came here with family visiting from out of town. Didn't have a reservation but got seated right away on a weeknight. Romanesco appetizer was a miss for me, oily and not much seasoning going on. The pizza is tasty - crust is light, chewy and crispy like a rice cracker. Had the chicken legs - boneless and tasty, olive oil and herb sauce was kind of flat. Veg cooked well. Would love to come back for happy hour next time for the margherita pizza.

Very cute chill spot. Drinks were very tasty and quick! Got the negronis all night. Service was great. Pretty sure there was only one server doing the whole back area and she was killingggg it! Food was solid. Atmosphere chill and tables were spaced enough to not feel crammed. I will definitely return!

Bar camillo is a great spot for a drink! They have many different spritz and Negronis available, along with a knowledgeable bar staff. I ate the focaccia bread as a starter and I was not really impressed. It was Bitter from the raw rosemary and under salted. I tried their salad and that was lovely. Nice place to stop by if you are in bed stuy

The pinsas were pretty good! The flavors we ordered I haven’t seen much on pizzas. I think the real winner is the negronis! The backyard is also really cute. I would recommend this place as somewhere to have a lowkey date or chill with your friends.

Stopped here with my boyfriend and two couples after seeing Common and Pete Rock at Herbert Von King Park. The mushroom and prosciutto pizzas were phenomenal, but the pepperoni one was a bit gamey. The salads were mediocre. Slow service. Good ambiance.

Hands down for food my favorite place in NY. The Pinsa aka Pizza is absolute perfection and every other dish I have ever tried (pretty sure I have tried them all) is excellent, cacio e pepe, meatballs, insalata, romenesco, tiramisu etc. Amaro list is killer, wines are decent for the price. Just don't expect much from the service, kinda feels like they are doing you a favor. So go for the food - seriously amazing - but keep service expectations low.

Small place with an intimate setting but also a bit confined, good food but needs more staff. Upon arrival we were told it would be a five minute wait, but waited more like 12-15 minutes which is okay but we weren't offered to sit at the bar. Just seems like due to low staff options, customer service was lacking. Also the Camillo Old Fashion wasn't prepared like a traditional "old fashion".

Food is good enough but I feel always these waitresses and bartenders, their attitude is not welcome.we sit at the counter, which was needed to be clean and had to be wait 10 min to have menu. I am so happy to have good place in my neighbor but I love to be welcomed.

Some staff rude, some pleasant but this place always feels understaffed. Could benefit from some owner or management presence. Feels server ran, which is ineffective because they have to create the customer experience.
