Everyman Espresso Brooklyn Reviews
Really delightful little cafe with fun classics as well as coffee with a clever twist. The staff was so kind and very engaging with my dad, who was visiting from Ohio and quite chatty. Also, I absolutely loved that they hosted a student’s little weekly newsletter on the community news table. Just such a sweet touch and demonstrates a level of community care that the space itself might not otherwise imply. Absolutely recommend!
One of my favorite spots in the area. I’ve tested almost all within walking distance and rather stop here. The staff is amazing and the coffee is consistant .
Delicious coffee. My wife and I loved the espresso spritz - a good balance of acidity and bitterness. The customer service was great. They explained the best way to drink out espresso spritz - letting it sit for a few minutes.
Very cute little shop, not a ton of seating for hanging. Still clean and quite. Got a standard order of mine, dirty Chai, with regular milk. Guy was nice, drink was good, would come again. 8 out of 5 stars
Delicious coffee. I recommend everyone to try their Vietnamese Latte.
I love this place. That said I just finished an iced americano I got like 30 minutes ago and found a dime at the bottom and I can’t stop laughing 😂😂😂 Gunna go back tomorrow and drop it in the cow tip box.
Very nice ambience, well attended and suits its location very well. I had the dirty chai latte and it had a crisp, clean robust taste. Now I'm not usually a coffee drinker but this place reminds me how lovely coffee can sit in ones body. Definitely recommend trying for a superb experience. A+
So many good things here: Rad sweet staff Sick coffee and tea (try the one with tumeric) Today I'm drinking an americano with hot oatmilk and 2 Splenda (that I didn't have to add myself.) Note: If you have a fear of cows (the animal), stay far, far away.

While there are many coffee shops in Park Slope, Everyman Espresso is at the top of my list of great coffee shops. Quality of espresso drinks is always outstanding. The baristas are consistently very professional and friendly. With only one barista working, there can be a little wait, but the quality and friendly atmosphere is worth the time spent.
I came here with my friend this past saturday before closing, the cashier was very kind and patient with us(we take a while to decide what we want) but definitely great coffee and great service <3

I love Everyman so much! Truly a home away from home. The staff is welcoming and thoughtful, the coffee is consistently good, and the snacks are yummy. Great to do work or meet up with a friend. Support local coffee shops!
This is the BEST coffee in the neighborhood, for years running. Whether it’s an espresso drink or drip, the coffee is delicious and done perfectly every time. Their staff are exceptional at their craft and feel like family, always asking about my kids, dog, life, everything! I want to give a special shout out to their new manager and current team, who have brought the cafe back to life as we emerge from Covid. Everyman Espresso is one of the best parts of this little neighborhood, come stop by!
The barista was incredibly friendly and took the time to answer my questions about coffee and brewing—even just five minutes before closing. Great spot with even better coffee!
Nice cozy coffee shop. Good service, latte was good.. not the best expresso I’ve had but I would certainly come back and try a few more things.

My coffee was delicious but the service was really off putting unfortunately. I felt like I was intruding on the barista by being in the shop. They stood around on their phone for a bit before taking my order, and I sat down at the bar with my computer. When it was ready they put the to go cup about 5 feet away from me prompting me to get back up, instead of just turning around and handing it to me, which was odd but not the worst thing in the world, it’s just that they were standing right there and could have turned to hand it to me so it felt a little deliberate. I asked for the WiFi password and they didn’t even turn around to speak to me when they gave it to me. I wouldn’t have even written this review except their demeanor with everyone else was so different. The people who stayed to drink their coffee got a mug, not a to go cup, they got conversation and just an overall a better vibe. Believe me I’m the first person in the world to check myself when it comes to customer service and truly I cannot think of any place I may have misstepped to cause this person to act this way towards me. It’s a bummer because I really wanted to have a new spot to spend an hour or two in the mornings but I don’t think I’ll be back.

I came with clients telling them I love this space and the man behind the desk was sour, gloomy and seemed visibly upset we didn't leave a large tip. The coffee and espresso was falling out of the lid and I asked for a napkin. He gruffly said behind you look. Not what one expects in park slope. Doesn't matter how bad your day is but if your paying $12 for 2 drinks you don't want it dripping on your clothes and to be spoken to rudely. Considered writing nothing but management should speak to their barista and either pay them more so they are happy or explain service. Threw out the drink also as it tasted like hot water and walked to 8th Ave on union for a proper one. Beware
Buyer Beware 🚨 Cashier tried to scam me out of $10. Gave him $20 for a $5 coffee. Only gave me $5 back and had to explain to him multiples times how I was owed $15. The cashier saying multiple times “you’re good” - DO NOT COME HERE. Response to the Owner: I was not robbed, but you tried to scam me. The location was not busy, there were 3 other people in the store and they were already served. The two men behind the counter were just talking about basketball the whole time. You didn’t even apologize when I finally got my $10 back. Best of luck with your business.

Came in here on a Sunday morning in January (1/11/26) around 11:30 am maybe and the person working had a very strange attitude and was rude I asked if their matcha had pre-added sugar in it, to which he responded in a normal tone and manner “YES”. Cool. I very, very politely said okay thank you and decided I didn’t want any. I politely said to my husband I’m okay I don’t need anything let’s go (completely normal thing to do) and started to make my way out. At the exact moments I did this the barista began to defensively explain to me that “matcha always has sugar” in it or something and was visibly annoyed and pissed that I questioned the sugary powder. He was about to lecture me defending their matcha/recipe. Once he realized I was walking towards the door he very abruptly stopped speaking and got sassy and gave me a look as he was working on someone else’s drink. I paused as I was very shocked at his incredibly rude attitude and just kindly said “have a great day sir!!” And left. He acted like I was so rude when I was nothing but polite and pleasant. Matcha powder should not have any added pre sweetener to it. This is simply not how it is supposed to be prepared. I fully understand some cafes in the US do this. Absolutely nothing wrong with a cafe deciding to use pre sweetened matcha powder! Obviously there’s a market for it. I just don’t like it personally! Which is why I asked the question in the first place. I got my answer and decided I didn’t want a latte from this location…. The baristas response both physically and verbally were completely uncalled for and weird. What a strange person. The cafe itself seemed nice and it was cute, I’m sure their espresso is probably great and they have some great coffee. I also bet a lot of their other employees are not unpleasant, this was just my experience here on one particular day with one particular employee. I went across the road to VOLARE ESPRESSO BAR where I’ve been before and got a normal authentic matcha latte from them instead. That’s what I get for trying to try something new I guess lol
My experience with this coffee shop was extremely disappointing, transcending simple issues like price or taste. While the coffee was indeed overpriced and lacked good flavor, the real problem lies with the unacceptable and discriminatory service, followed by the owner's highly questionable actions. Upon attempting to order, a barista explicitly stated, "we don't serve cops," and denied service to Police officers. This blatant display of hostility and discrimination is unprofessional and frankly, disturbing. After leaving an honest one-star review reflecting this experience, we witnessed the shop's owner engage in truly shocking behavior: The shop closed temporarily. The owner then reportedly flooded their own listing with hundreds of fake 5-star reviews using bots, all within a single hour (and allegedly continues to do so) in an attempt to bury legitimate feedback. This is a severe breach of trust and a manipulative business practice. Most alarmingly, the owner reportedly made explicit threats, vowing that staff "will spit in cops' coffee." This establishment exhibits poor product quality (overpriced, bad taste), appalling discrimination and hostility, and highly unethical, fraudulent behavior regarding their online reputation. Given the open threats and fraudulent activity, I cannot recommend this coffee shop to anyone.
Not “family-friendly” nor “good for kids” as they claim. My 3 year old accidentally spilled apple juice we had purchased. I promptly and effectively cleaned it all up myself and told my daughter off for being careless as I cleaned it, but the barista was AWFUL to us afterwards. Very hostile, rude and abrasive. I asked if I had done something wrong, and they admitted they were annoyed about the apple juice. I apologised, I let them know she’s only 3 and I offered to clean it even more if they’d give me a wet cloth, which they refused. The worst part.. they even snubbed my 3 year old’s attempted apology and were rude to HER about it. Who does that?! Take your business to one of the plenty of other lovely and welcoming cafes around.
Racist place!!! ⚠️ They made us feel unwelcome because we don't look American enough. The barista called my 3 year old dirty, when it touched the display glass which it was literally at the kid's height. Maybe put the display at a spot that kids can't reach if you are so concerned about germs. (we were completely clean and happy, even after a hard day of work, btw) They also pressure me to reply to their insults wanting to start a fight Infront of my toddler. I silently left the place holding back my tears. I am only glad that my kid didn't understand what was going on. Shame on you guys, be better humans!
Horrible coffee and service. Extremely bad attitude by staff. Do not recommend getting coffee let alone anything here. AVOID
Just a weird experience… An hour after they opened, they didn’t seem ready to serve two customers. The barista explained he was tired (and overslept?) So preceded to make himself an espresso before serving the customers.
Bad service and attitude don’t waste your money here
