Easy enough to get a weeknight walk-in, sat outside during golden hour for an incredible meal. Inside was bright and open, very beautiful. Flawless execution on service and food. All staff is friendly, smiling and excellent at their respective positions. Truly, not a single beat in the choreography of service was missed. Drinks filled immediately, meals came out perfectly timed. The grilled clams are an excellent opener. Great texture and flavor. Perhaps the clam should sit on top of the garnish to get more flavor and then enjoy the crumbs etc as desired off the bottom of the shell? The Agnolotti is as good as everyone says. I found it best paired with a savory or spicy pasta and a bit sweet on its own. The olive oil gelato was a must have, even if you're very full.

Overall, the food was great. The focassia was definitely the best. Their seasonal pasta was also phenomenal. The Italian job gelato had way too much olive oil, and the artichoke was ok.. They were also really weird about the table and not super thoughtful. Overall, it was great

Came here for a birthday dinner for inside dining and the service and ambiance were spectacular. We ordered the agnolotti, gnocchi, and lamb steak. The agnolotti is a must get. The pesto gnocchi was the best pesto I’ve ever had as well, but gnocchi was slightly over cooked. The lamb steak was a surprise! It was cooked perfectly and I did not expect it to be be that delicious. The fennel and spices were overwhelming at times, but all you had to do was scrape it off! This is the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to in NYC, and would definitely recommend this to friends. 4.7/5.

Had a lovely meal! Great shareable dishes. Outdoor seating is nice for good weather. Our waiter and the whole team were very helpful with making choices. Still thinking about the Italian job. Malfadine, cucumber salad, mussels and fettuccine were my favorites.

Our second time visit Lilia was just as good as the first. The ambiance, the service and the food is all 5 ⭐️ we sat at the bar early on a Sunday and it was packed! We ordered two classic red sauce pasta dishes and we’re not disappointed with either! 1. Fettuccine with lamb bolognese 2 spaghetti with san marzano tomatoes (you can really taste the tomatoes, it’s an incredible flavor) Fantastic Italian spot in Brooklyn!

Absolutely divine! The meal was scrumptious and highly flavorful. Our waiter was quite knowledgeable about all items on the menu and was able to recommend dishes that were vegetarian friendly and not as acidic. Each dish impressed and the cocktails were fantastic. Highly recommend going! My friend and I didn’t have a reservation but we went at 3:50pm on a Saturday and got bar seats (huge win!). Go early, go hungry.

I’ve been going to Lilia for the last few years and have the benefit of living in the neighborhood so have dined here a lot. It is consistently good, the quality of the ingredients always shines through and most of all, the staff is so warm, welcoming, personable and accommodating. In particular, the Izzy at the host stand is always on top of it and helps to make a reservation happen even for a quick weekday walk-in. The atmosphere is amazing, the timing of the courses of the dishes is always on point and the staff seems to enjoy working together.

One of most amazing meal I’ve had in my life. Everything was incredibly delicious. We got the ramp foccacia with ramp butter and it was mind blowing, we also got the house mozzarella, chicken liver mousse, broccolini, mussels, Angolotti and the Mortadella tortellini. Everything was unbelievably good. Every flavor was on point. The dishes are the perfect balance between simplicity and innovation. Not only was the food incredible, but the ambiance of the restaurant was beautiful, perfect for a date night. The service was also absolutely amazing. Lastly, considering how wonderful everything was, the price is really great for what you get. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough. If you can manage to get a reservation here, book it immediately!

Full disclosure: I have had the great blessing to eat at Lilia about a dozen times over the last few years, the pictures attached to this review were from a visit a couple of years ago. Having a business in Williamsburg, and a friend who is as an enthusiastic "foodie" as there is, gave me great incentive to experience all that the unique Williamsburg Bar/Restaurant scene provides. At the top of our list was Lilia, and we were able to 1st experience Lilia at the bar, comfortable and more intimate than the tables. In a great reflection of Lilia, is that the bartenders are so well trained, and knowledgeable. that our experience was only enhanced. Lilia's reputation is only surpassed by the incredible food! I loved all the food, everything was distinct and memorable. The flavors were surprisingly intense for Italian food. To start, the bread had a perfect texture and flavor. The pastas were very different from each other and each was exciting in its own way. Agnolotti has my heart, sheep’s milk cheese was mild and creamy, the contrast of honey and sundried tomato was a perfect complement. Another incredible pasta, mafaldini is a bit stronger, you'll taste the peppercorn. If memory serves, the steak was off the menu and as delicious and expertly prepared and served, as any of the pasta dishes. The dining space is large, tall ceilings, a renovated from a garage gives it a slightly industrial casual vibe, service was great, and we were given more than two hours to dine; never felt rushed! Final Incredible memory: We purchased Missy Robbin's Book of recipes off the shelf by the bar. Looking up, Missy was in-house that night, saw we bought her "delicious" book, graciously autographed for my friend, spoke to us for awhile (even in the hectic restaurant) and completed the incredible experience. TY Missy! When I told my daughter that I had dinner at Lilia, she said: "No way, that's world famous!" No doubt true and deservedly so...Go and experience what "World Famous" means at Lilia!

This is not the usual style of Italian food I like but it really blew me away! Two standouts to me were the Sheep's Milk Agnolotti and Caramelized Onion Ravioli. The former is a chewy pasta with a sweet, creamy cheese. And the latter is a delicate pasta with a rich, nutty filling. The Italian Job gelato was a blend of various flavors, I loved the saltiness and olive oil drizzle but found the honey to be a bit much. This spot lives up to the hype, definitely recommend a visit.

Had an outstanding time here! Tried Misi a few weeks ago and was slightly underwhelmed but Lilia was 10/10. Sat outside on the patio, great service. Waiter recommended ordering 2-3 dishes per person and that ended up being perfect. Appetizers - don’t skip the cacio e Pepe fritelle or the focaccia. Little gem salad & grilled artichokes were okay, loved the clams. For pastas we tried the gnocchi, agnolotti & Mafaldini. The agnolotti was definitely the stand out, such a unique flavor. We were too full for dessert so will have to come back

I loved all the food, everything was distinct and memorable. The flavors were surprisingly intense for Italian food, without resorting to more salt, and I like that. The bread had a perfect texture and flavor. The bagna cauda had deep and complex flavors, and the veggies tasted great. The pastas were very different from each other and each was exciting in its own way. The chocolate cake was fine, but far less exciting; the gelato looked more promising.

Came here with my best friends, one of them was able to snap a reservation on Resy about a month before for an outside table. We went on a Tuesday night, the weather was just right for al fresco eating. We got there about 10 mins early to our reservation and we had to wait till the time of to actually be seated because they were packed. To start with, the service was very good. They were attentive and our waiter Tobias literally saved the day by getting us the last order of the foccacia bread with ramp butter. We had the grilled scallops and prawns for the Pesci and then ordered 3 pastas to share. The grilled scallops were cooked perfectly and the prawns were delicious. In order from favorite to least favorite for the pastas - Sheeps Milk Cheese Filled Agnolotti with Saffron, Dried Tomato & Honey, Fettuccine with Lamb Sausage,Tomato Passato, Lemon, & Pecorino, then the Ricotta Gnocchi with Pesto. The pastas were good and tasted fresh but having tried their sister restaurant Misi a month prior, the pasta was lackluster in comparison. For dessert we got the olive oil cake and the Italian job gelato that blew our minds. The combination of flavors was amazing, I never wanted that gelato to end. Very thankful to the wait staff for their attention to detail. Definitely would come back to try their seasonal items and get me another gelato.

Agnolotti has my heart, sheep’s milk cheese was mild and creamy, the contrast of honey and sundried tomato was an euphonic spring melody, another well praised pasta, mafaldini was just okay for me, bit too greasy and the peppercorn was overwhelming. I love the dining space, large, tall ceiling, renovated from a garage gives it a slightly industrial casual vibe, service was great, and we were given more than two hours to dine

First time dining here tonight, but I’ll be back soon…incredible food, and some of the best service I’ve received in New York. My girlfriend and I both agreed that the Agnolotti was the highlight of the meal. Perfectly cooked pasta, with the fluffiest sheep’s milk cheese filling. Favorite app was the Cacio e Pepe, favorite desert was the Italian Job. Great meal, fairly priced for what you’re eating.

What an experience it was dining with Lilia. We came from Montreal for a birthday trip and were crossing our fingers for a reservation to open up. We were sat on the patio and were assisted by many great servers; all very attentive and knowledgeable. For reference, we got two pasta dishes, two cocktail snacks, one appetizer, two cocktails and two glasses of wine for a party of two (a bit over 100 each). Star of the show: cacio e Pepe fritelle. Tens across the board. Decadent, warm and rich. We absolutely loved every single dish. The sheep’s milk agnolotti is very original but savoury. We adored the foccacia with it’s incredible crunch and delicious butter. They serve great espresso martinis and have a good wine list. We chose a white and a rose to pair with our main dishes. I would absolutely recommend dining at Lilia for a special occasion- bonus points if you’re travelling. It’s a superb restaurant with a great vibe and amazing service. The food is memorable and clearly made with care and technique. It will be a spot not to miss next time I’m in New York! My only advice… plan in advance because reservations are hard to get.

Lilia raised the ceiling of how delicious pasta can truly be. Every dish we ordered was unique, balanced, visually stunning, and memorable. The mafaldini and sheep’s milk cheese agnolotti were the standout pasta dishes, and I couldn’t recommend them enough!

A unique pasta forward menu with many vegetarian options The pastas are fresh and well made. Many excellent starters especially the focaccia served with garlic butter. Excellent olive oil cake for desert. Also a good selection of alcohol free cocktails. Easy access to L train. It's a hard rez to get but worth the effort.

Hands down the best pasta I’ve had in NYC, the Agnolotti was absolutely to die for. Nice interior, great service, tasty cocktails and world class pasta dishes. Tricky to get reservations sometimes but it’s well worth the effort, will be going back again and again.

Everything was absolutely delicious! I would recommend coming with an empty stomach or have at least one other person with you to try a few of the different dishes. The wait staff was extremely knowledgeable of the dishes and had great recommendations. Also, I thought the cocktails were well worth the price. If I'm going to pay $10+ for a cocktail with dinner, I want it to be worth it and these definitely were. And the attention to detail made the drinks even better. The food was fantastic and we could tell that a lot of thought went into crafting the dishes. Would highly recommend getting the foccacia and the mozzarella bread was to die for! Of course, the pasta dishes were cooked to perfection and had the perfect amount of sauce. I didn't find myself having to search for more sauce to eat with my pasta. And finally, the Italian Job and apple crostata were an excellent way to round out a yummy meal! All in all, 10/10 would recommend.

Had a delicious dinner here! PLENTY of vegetarian options and they were all fantastic. My favorite dish was actually the “cocktail snack” Roasted Garlic Scape Focaccia, Green Garlic Butter. Everyone working there was helpful and nice, too. Lilia will definitely be on my list of places to go for a special dinner! Just make sure to make your reservation well in advance.

took the cake for best italian food i've had in the city without a doubt. the mafaldini and the agnolotti are must-try's and the italian job gelato was to die for. i have genuinely never had a dessert so delicious and unique in my life, lilia's really got me looking up where to find fennel pollen just to try recreating this bite of heaven. focaccia was a great starter too, all around amazing meal. vibes were so nice, the outdoor seating was really nicely done. our waiter gave great recommendations. 10/10 would most certainly go again

Lilia was quite the experience! There has been a lot of hype around Lilia, and I think that it lives up to it. Is it as good as some of the places in the West Village? Well, I’d say they’re very different experiences. The Atmosphere: The interior is pleasant but relatively simple. They have a nice bar with more seating. Outdoors, they have some tables on the sidewalk and a few that feel like you’re in the street. The Staff: Every staff member we interacted with was kind and helpful. Our server was terrific. He gave us a quick rundown of the menus and suggested some dishes. The Food: I thought the food was tremendous. The focaccia bread with garlic butter was the highlight of the appetizers. The grilled melon and cucumbers were excellent on a hot summer evening. We tried a few pastas for mains, and I really enjoyed the lamb pappardelle. For dessert, the olive oil gelato was quite the experience. I’m not sure if I liked it, but I couldn’t stop having it. It’s certainly worth trying once.

10/10. This was probably the best pasta I’ve ever had and I’ve had pasta all over the city including Torrisi. The service, all food and drinks we had were incredible.

We had a late dinner here and all the food was phenomenal. We took my out of town family of 6 here for a family style Italian diner and it did not disappoint. Portions were great for sharing and being able to try so many things. The prosciutto, balsamic & Parmesan app was delicious. The cacio e Pepe frittelles were an absolute standout app. The grilled clams had enough for all of us to enjoy 2 each and the lemony flavor was perfect. The stuffed artichoke was great. For entrees we got the chicken leg & thigh and it was so juicy with the skin still slightly crispy wow. For pastas we got the fettuccini, mafaldini & gnocci and they were all so delicious. I personally enjoyed the gnocci the best bc that broccoli pesto was…chefs kiss. For dessert we got the olive oil cake, strawberry crostata & Italian ice cream. All of it was great. The crostata was crispy and fruity but my favorite was the ice cream with olive oil, honey & fennel pollen and wow I’m about to start putting all those ingredients on all my future ice creams. Such a lovely flavor pairing!!

I’ve had the privilege of eating here more than a few times and always leave extremely happy. Without a doubt you MUST order the Sheep’s Milk Agnolotti. It is their signature dish and my personal favorite. It always hits our table when we are there. The focaccia is also incredible and I love the mussels. The mafaldini tends to be a little salty, so if you’re into that, it’s a good order as well. And to wrap up with dessert, their ‘Italian Job’ with fennel seeds and olive oil is to die for. Great atmosphere overall. Getting a reservation: There are two keys to getting a reservation 1) call their phone number 31 days in advance of your desired date at 10am or 2) show up 15 minutes before they open and either have an early dinner, or ask availability for later in the evening. For #2 - this typically only works for groups of 2-4 ppl, as it’ll be very tough to get a larger group table (if at all). Enjoy!

We had a number of 10/10 dishes so it has to be a 5 star! Here’s the breakdown of what we ordered and my review: - Focaccia: 10/10 - Clams: 5/10 for me but my husband said 7/10 - Agnolotti: 10/10 - Caramelized Onion Ravioli: 8/10 - Italian Job Gelato: 10/10 (so creamy like a soft serve ice cream but with delicious flavors on top. So unique!) - Olive oil cake: 6/10 Great service too!

Beautiful Italian restaurant in Williamsburg with a relaxed, modern feel and an open kitchen. Handmade pastas and wood-fired dishes are the highlights, and the staff are attentive without being too formal. It can be very hard to get a reservation, but the experience feels special once you’re seated.

Every now and then, a meal transcends the plate—it slows time, stirs memory, and leaves you utterly transformed. Lilia is that kind of place. Tucked unassumingly into a corner of Williamsburg, Lilia doesn’t scream for attention—but the moment you cross its threshold, it owns every bit of it. From the very first bite of the house-made mozzarella, you know you’re in the hands of someone who understands reverence. Creamy, delicate, and impossibly fresh, it arrives adorned with a subtle splash of olive oil, each mouthful a meditation on simplicity done right. It’s not just cheese—it’s a reminder of what milk can become when handled with care and love. Then there’s the sheep’s milk agnolotti—pillowy and precise, filled with richness and restraint. Every forkful is a delicate dance between sweetness, salt, and silk. It’s comfort food for the soul, elevated by craftsmanship and intention. But nothing, nothing, prepares you for The Italian Job—a dessert so quietly spectacular it deserves its own standing ovation. Vanilla ice cream, cold and velvety, is kissed with grassy olive oil, sweet fennel pollen, and just a whisper of sea salt. It’s a masterclass in contrast: hot and cold, savory and sweet, rich and feather-light. It doesn’t just melt in your mouth—it rewrites your expectations of what dessert can be. One spoonful and I found myself whispering, this is the best thing I’ve ever eaten. At Lilia, every course is a story. Every flavor is a feeling. It’s not about showing off—it’s about showing up for the ingredients, the tradition, and the guest. A seat at Lilia is more than a reservation—it’s a gift. 5/5 — A meal I’ll crave for years to come.

The food was just amazing! It’s not often that I am truly and utterly savoring a first bite but Lilia had me on a couple of dishes. The wine was fantastic and exactly as described by the friendly and cool staff. They make a fantastic Negroni too. I would come back to New York just for this l!!

It took several attempts over a couple of years, but I finally got to Lilia on a visit to New York with a friend. We experienced a very random and odd incident with an errant airborne wine cork! No one got hurt; we laughed about it. The staff were generous and concerned, to which I responded, just make it easier for me to get in here next time! Alert! I plan to return soon. My friend and I ordered our own pasta (agnolotti, pistacchio gnocchi), shared the "big fish" entree, shared the scallops and the sardines apps, and I had the gem lettuce salad, which somehow elevated a green leaf to heavenly heights. Everything was off the charts delectable. The setting is serene and lovely, and the servers are attentive without being overbearing. I appreciate a refined, excellent service, and they have it here. Applause for the wine list as well. We had a wonderful white wine, but I'm remiss in remembering the label. Everything was just... for lack of a better word.... yummy.

Heard about this place and yes it’s hard to get someone on the phone because they are all working. Difficult to book because they are well worth it. Walked in with my Valentine on Valentine Night and was able to get a nice table. Ordered the mussels as an appetizer and they were so flavorful that I had to order a second order. Dinner was Sea-bass with potatoes which I enjoyed everything about. My date had the pasta. The wine was fruity and so worth it. I loved everything about LILIA. Customer service, the attention to detail for everyone. Nothing was left on the table, it was cleared immediately after consumption. Well worth it all. Total recommendation. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Located in Williamsburg so of course the area already has a lot going on. The restaurant has a great vibe! We started with the housemade mozzarella and toasted garlic bread which was addicting... Tried the grilled artichoke with parmigiano and bread crumbs as well as the Italian broccoli and chili oil and lemon. So a great start to the meal!!! The sheeps milk agnolotti with saffron and dried tomatoes was amazing. We also tried the grilled chicken by and leg with fingerling tomatoes which was more than enough to share and it was delicious!! They have an extensive wine and cocktail menu so lots of great choices!!

Super friendly staff and a great place to spend an evening catching up with friends. We booked a 6pm patio table, so we didn’t see much of the inside, but it was packed so reservations are a must. The patio was perfect though, plenty of separation from the sidewalk and a comfortable setup. Most importantly, the food was fantastic. It’s not cheap, but the portions were fair and everything felt thoughtfully prepared with real attention to detail. If I were to recommend two things, it would be the focaccia and the agnolotti, they were the table favorites. Overall, we had a great experience and would absolutely recommend it.

Lilia is an outstanding modern italian restaurant. I would rate it 4.5 stars, and rounding up to 5 this time because we ordered one of the dishes a second time. The agnolotti is to die for. Perfectly balanced and very rich and complex. We also enjoyed the focaccia and the little gem salad as appetizers. The prosciutto was okay, and the arancini were also only okay. Mafaldini pasta was good. The italian job dessert was good but we expected better from all the hype. Would come back, lovely place, and great setting.

Great food and service in a very casual but eclectic setting. There were a couple misses for us but overall absolutely delicious fresh food and we will definitely return. Mozz and bread is a large portion but absolutely worth trying. Cheese was soft and flavorful and bread was thick and crusty. Little gem salad as pretty to look at as it was to eat. Grilled artichoke, I probably could have eaten 5. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Bagna Cauda was a miss for us. The anchovy dip was overpowering and I think I just didn’t understand the dish. We tried the agnolotti based on our server’s recommendation and so glad we did. Soft creamy pillows of deliciousness. Spaghetti also delicious, pasta was al dente with texture from the nuts. Escarole was another recommended dish and it was very good and a nice side. The lamb steak was our other miss. It was cooked well but if I didn’t know I was eating lamb I would have thought it was a bland steak. It had no gamey lamb flavor. We didn’t know but will try next time that there is an off the menu steak and potato dish you can order. It looked and smelled amazing. This restaurant serves unpretentious delicious food, can’t wait to return and try more options.

Overall a great dinner! The food was very tasty...the pasta was perfectly al dente and the wine was amazing. Service was timely and kind. They even helped find us a table instead of sitting at the bar 😁 Highly recommend getting the Little Gem Salad, the Mussels, the Rigatoni, and the Mafaldini! Highly recommend!

A delightful place to spend an evening. It was packed on a Tuesday. Turnover of tables was brisk. The quality of the ingredients and the cooking was excellent. As ridiculous as this might sound, one of the truly outstanding dishes we had was Roasted Ramp Focaccia with Ramp Butter. Yes, the bread. Sensational. The prawns were as fresh as can be & the chicken cooked to perfection. Service was excellent - you get what you pay for. Highly recommend.

Pasta in its highest form. The airy, high-ceilinged space has great energy, where casual warmth meets fine-dining poise. Soft lighting, elegant plating, professional service. The focaccia, crackling and warm, arrives with a deeply flavorful and memorable green garlic butter. From there, the little gem salad is refreshingly tart, sharp with vinaigrette and pecorino, while the celery root is earthy and bright, delivering a citrusy lift. To round out the starters, the prosciutto arrives silky and delicate, paired with a balsamic mustard. The pasta. It’s why you’re here, and it’s why you’ll return. The agnolotti, filled with sheep’s milk cheese, saffron-tinged and honey-kissed, kind of melts on your tongue. The caramelized onion ravioli vanishes almost too quickly, a testament to the exquisite taste of the brown butter and balsamic. The mafaldini is all about texture, its wavy ribbons clinging to pink peppercorn and parmigiano, delivering peppery goodness. The soft serve honey-olive oil gelato is the right balance of sweet and savory, while the olive oil cake is moist and tender. Both are exceptional in their own way. The quiet confidence, the genuine hospitality—Lilia is magnificent. It's the kind of restaurant that ruins you for all others.

Amazing how everyone knew the menu and the service was good. Decrease in stars cause everything was set with little room to customize like less garlic. We had mentioned that the clams were a bit over cooked but it did not seem like they had cared for our comment.

The food is good and the lamb steak was amazing. I was surprised that it did not have the funky taste that some of the times I ate lamb had. The pasta was also very good with having nothing too overpowering. The appetizers could have alittle rework done on it due to the bread for the toasted garlic bread just tasting burnt and no flavor coming from the bread as it relies too much on the mozzarella to have flavor. The Juliet tomato focaccia waa good and would get again just wanted the bread alittle softer. Great service and very attentive to detail. I would come back if in the area. Just sucks you have to make a reservation a month ahead of time.

Does Lilia live up to its hype? Yes! We have visited the restaurant twice on separate weekends, and each time, we were blown away by the amazing food. If you're struggling to secure a reservation online, don't fret - simply visit Lilia in person and their friendly staff will be more than happy to assist you in finding a reservation. If possible, I recommend booking a spot inside the restaurant as the outdoor seating area is on the sidewalk, and you may be approached by strangers asking for money. The interiors have a minimal and industrial design, which fits perfectly with the neighborhood's vibe. Although the service was very attentive, we received our starters before our drinks arrived, and when the drinks finally arrived, the starters were already lukewarm. The food at Lilia was absolutely amazing! To start, we had the cacio e pepe frittelle, a salad made with heirloom tomatoes, and grilled artichoke. The frittelle and artichoke were both incredibly delicious! Moving on to the main course, we tried both fresh and dry pasta dishes. I personally found the dry pasta portions to be slightly bigger and more delicious. The mafaldini dish was particularly outstanding and I highly recommend trying it! Even my Italian wife, who is usually very picky with pasta, loved it. Overall, I can definitely say that Lilia is the best pasta restaurant I have been to in New York so far, and I'll surely be back in the future.

I had a delicious meal at Lilia. I did not have a reservation and had to wait about 30-45 minutes for a table at the bar. The bar is reserved for walk ins. While I waited I got a cocktail in the back where they have a coffee bar. If you want, you can also order apps while you have a drink in that area. I also ordered the baked clams which were delicious. This isn’t necessarily my favorite place but they do have a few great signature items and have a delicious wine selection with a yummy cocktail menu.

I was trying to get a reservation at this place for over a year. But our experience started off a bit negative when the host told us we only have 1.5 hours to eat as soon as we walked in. The waitress spilled the wine to the table.. And the interior was nice but too loud. The food was great, good combination of seafood meat and veggies I would say. We shared 4 plates and all were 5/5 especially the scallops and artichokes.

Food was delicious and the service was very good. Waiter and sommelier were friendly and very helpful. In the winter there was not enough heat inside and we were freezing. Unfortunately the experience was dented by the lack of heat. It is surprising that the restaurant has not addressed it. It is unacceptable for a restaurant of this quality to let the patrons suffer in the cold

4.5 ⭐️ The atmosphere and service - both amazing! Bravo to the team, they were very on top of it, our server was particularly great. I was a bit let down by the food - still good - but I think I went in with high expectations given its strong reputation and specialty in pasta. We also may have not ordered the right standouts? In terms of pasta, we ordered the rigatoni, mafaldini and agnolotti. The rigatoni I didn’t really care for, and the others were good but didn’t compare to the pasta dishes I’ve had at Misi or Misi pasta (maybe not a fair comparison?). Again, the food was good, but for the price point and pasta specialty, for me it is a 4.5 ⭐️

After a beautiful day exploring Williamsburg, we stopped in to Lilia without reservations but our fingers crossed tightly, hoping for the best. We waited a quick 45 minutes & were then guided to our seats at the bar. Red wine was of course our pick paired deliciously with the pasta dishes. Dessert was an olive oil cake & cappuccino. Delicious & fresh pasta is always a good time

I was fortunate enough to snag a reservation here twice--this place is in high demand and usually books up fast. Here's what I ordered: - PROSCIUTTO - Because why not? Always a classic. - ROASTED EGGPLANTS - Served with olives, capers, and pine nuts. It was okay, but I'd probably skip this next time. - GRILLED CLAMS - Definitely a must-order, these were fantastic! - MUSSELS WITH HERB BUTTER - Absolutely delicious! - SHEEP'S MILK CHEESE AGNOLOTTI - The true star of the meal. Hands down the best pasta I've had here! - RIGATONI DIAVOLA - Cooked perfectly al dente, though I wished for a bit more spice. - MALFALDINI - Another favorite! I highly recommend trying this spot at least once. The pastas are outstanding!

The food is highly regarded and it lives up to the hype. The best dish, and one is what seems like it's mentioned every review is the Sheeps Milk Cheese Filled Agnolotti. As everyone describes it, it's like a fluffy pillow or delicious cheese and saffron with an amazing butter and honey sauce. Absolutely worth ordering. Other great dishes include the grilled clams and grilled shrimp. Both are loaded with spices and flavor. The clams also have a bit of a kick (spicy). As good as it is, the ambiance isn't great. Try to book inside if possible. We got stuck outside next to the hot subway grate. The tables felt rickety and it just didn't give you the feel of a fine dining establishment. Overall go for the food, but not if it's with a date your trying to impress.

Lilia Est. 2016 Layout/atmosphere *Bar area; tables; open kitchen; tables on sidewalk and in street Food/drink *Prosciutto, Balsamic Mustard, Parmigiano Butter (with bread) - very good; perfect combination of flavors/spices *Italian Broccoli, Parmigiano, Chili Oil, Lemon - Good *Mafaldini, Pink Peppercorn, Parmigiano - solid; slightly acidic * Summer Wolff ‘Ette’ 2023, Piedmont, Baratuciat - solid

Leek focaccia was the winner. The lemon pasta was the best and quite tasty but I was a bit let down by the other pastas. The Diavola somehow missed the mark, the agnoloti was too cheesy with not much depth (I wished the pieces were much smaller for more of a balanced pasta to filling ratio), and the artichoke was way too cheesy, overpowering the flavor of the artichoke entirely. I love the creativity but hope they can continually assess their dishes to improve the quality.

I went into this experience with the knowledge that many people have said it’s just OK. We only went here because we were gifted a dinner. If it had not been for the gift I don’t think I would have made an effort to find a reservation (where I had to set a timer at 9:58am to get on their site for the 10am spots to drop). Which I had to do multiple times because I dilly-dallied too long and lost the time I was trying to reserve 😔 Short + sweet thoughts: Seafood is the main highlight *chefs kiss*. Pasta is aight. Dessert is good but nothing crazy. I wouldn’t go here for the pasta. It’s good but you can definitely find other spots that are less difficult to dine at for pasta. The seafood though is very very good. Get everything they offer off the grill. We had the prawns, scallops, and clams. We loved all of them. Service was great, I wish I could remember the waiters name. They were both v professional and personable. Timing of dishes and pacing was great. Staff is on point: ex. v attentive, keen knowledge of the menu and explanation of dishes, wiping off tables, refolding your napkin if you go to the restroom, etc.

This was our third time at Lilia, and the food was just as amazing as always. However, the high temperature in the room made it difficult to fully enjoy the experience. It seems like only fans were running, and there was barely any cool air from the AC. we wouldn’t return again during the summer

In my seasoned culinary exploration spanning over a decade, I recently indulged in the epicurean delights at Lilia, a distinguished Italian establishment in Brooklyn. Awarding them a well-deserved 4 stars overall, my gastronomic journey was a symphony of flavors, though with a few nuances. The culinary prowess at Lilia is undeniable – each dish an ode to exquisite taste. The artful plate swapping showcased their commitment to presentation, yet the service left me yearning for a touch more warmth. Securing reservations proved akin to a culinary quest, an enigma I couldn't quite decipher given the availability of equally stellar options in Brooklyn. Navigating their extensive menu, the cocktails earned a respectable 4 out of 5 stars, complementing the overall experience. The artichoke left me ambivalent, but the mozzarella with bread was an enchanting prelude to the pasta perfection that awaited. The ricotta gnocchi, a celestial revelation, and the fettuccine spicy lamb, a spicy symphony of flavors, elevated my lunchtime sojourn. Remarkably, the prices were more palatable than anticipated – a $180 expenditure for two, encompassing 2 starters, 2 entrees, 3 cocktails, and a solitary beer. A fair investment for an exceptional culinary odyssey. Yet, my culinary curiosity is piqued by the elusive nature of their reservations. A paradox, considering the establishment's undeniable allure. The staff, while proficient, could infuse a tad more amiability into their service, transcending the realm of culinary mastery into a truly convivial experience. In conclusion, Lilia's gastronomic tapestry is woven with brilliance, marked by superlative dishes, though not without its reservations—both in securing a table and the service ethos. A culinary haven that beckons with tantalizing tastes, albeit wrapped in a veil of reservation mysteries.

Finally crossed this off my list, it’s so hard to book but somehow managed to get a 5pm day of. The space is very cute with super high ceilings. Everything we had was spectacular. Pasta I loved the most was the caramelized onion ravioli, so fantastic with the brown butter and balsamic vinegar. Pastas all cooked with perfect level of al dente. Desserts were awesome as well esp the apple crostata.

Solid Brooklyn spot for pasta. Personal favorites were definitely the pine nuts spaghetti and the lamb sausage fettucine, but the sheep's milk cheese agnolotti and the grilled clams were good too. Very attentive service.

Went to Lilia for Valentine's Day and had a great experience! We ordered the housemade mozzarella, scallops, mussels, agnolotti, and lamb leg steak to share. Everything was delicious. The Italian Job for dessert was great too. I've never had olive oil and fennel pollen on gelato before, so was pleasantly surprised by how well it all blended. The service was great! She was super friendly and attentive throughout the night.

I went here for dinner. The place had zero heat. It was about four degrees today in New York City. We ordered two appetizers and two mains. Mains: Pasta was nice. Sea bass was ok. Appetizers: I don’t think I should have ordered the Bagna Cauda on such a cold day. It might be a good option for the summer. Grill clam was boring. I am not sure what to said about this experience other than it was very cold.

I had a great experience at Lilia. I ordered the salad and the lamb steak — the salad was fresh and well balanced, and the lamb steak had a really nice smoky flavor that made it stand out. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Honestly, no complaints at all. Definitely a place I’d recommend and would happily come back to.

Lilia, New York. Getting a reservation is not always easy, but it is 100% worth it. The food is genuinely excellent, and there are dishes I keep thinking about, especially the agnolotti (my favourite here) and the grilled clams with Calabrian chilli and bread crumbs. The only real downside for me is the service. Unlike a lot of places I go to, they do push consumption a bit, which I find unpleasant. It can also feel like they are doing too much: a lot of talking, sometimes a bit too familiar, and it can get slightly irritating. Last time, I ordered the agnolotti and about 15 minutes later I was told there were none left, end of story. I had travelled 6,000 km to eat that plate again, so yes, I was disappointed. It is only food, and the other dishes were still excellent, but that one hurt. The wine list is good, not outstanding. Some fairly standard bottles are priced very high. I know it is New York, but you can drink the same wines for less elsewhere. There is often a delay, but you can wait at the bar, which is small but lovely, and they make excellent cocktails. Just a heads-up: it is quite dark, noisy, and the tables are close together. Still, I would do it again.

This place was so close but not perfect. We had an outdoor reservation for 5:15 but the weather was no good so they said they can move us to bar (didn’t want) or table but for 4:45 or 9:30. We took 9:30, sucks they couldn’t squeeze us in a bit earlier but they were professional about it. We got the prawns, focaccia, asparagus, lamb steak, malfadini, and agnolotti. I loved the asparagus, they were not wrong about the veggies here, must order. The focaccia and ramp butter was great but I feel like it needed a little salt, I like my butter salty. The lamb steak was delicious never had lamb like it. Prawns were good but I do wish I got the mussels, I listened to my server and I was in the mood for mussels. Good if you’re looking for that. The pastas unfortunately were the biggest let down. i do think i ordered wrong, the linguine looked good and i was also interested in the mortadella special bur that was sold out. the malfadini had a weird crunch from the raw peppercorn and the agnolotti wasn't bad but just very mild. wine wad good, service was good but it was crazy cold in there. we were unfortunately right in front of the vent. the italian job was good but weird. if you like olive oil then you'll like but it was a but much. good to try once. the vanilla in it was good. the lemon sorbet wad very icy, not great.

We recently dined at Lilia and were genuinely impressed by the hospitality and service, which were impeccable — every staff member we encountered was attentive, polite, and welcoming. That said, the food itself was underwhelming, especially in light of the high prices. We started with the artichokes and scallops as appetizers, and while the scallops were the highlight of our meal, the portion size (two scallops for $30) didn’t feel justified for the price. For mains, we shared the sheep’s milk cheese agnolotti and the fettuccine with lamb sausage. Unfortunately, none of the dishes stood out — they were decent but lacked the depth, particularly given the restaurant’s reputation for pasta. For dessert, we had the apple crostata. It was fine but nothing extraordinary, and in my view the crème fraiche on top didn’t quite work. If it wasn’t for the service, this wouldn’t be 2-3 star experience.

Anja A.
Anja A.

The service at this place is truly amazing! The food is good, but nothing special enough to make me want to return. For the scallops, you only get two small pieces for $30. The pastas we tried received big recommendations, but they were lacking flavor. The only thing I liked is the apple crostata. I wish it came with ice cream not the creme fraiche.

I usually hear people going before they open to get a table, and was so excited that I was able to reserve online! The staff were nice and helpful with deciding our orders, and we were glad that we did not skip on the focaccia! I was way too full afterwards, so I think the 2 of us could’ve just gotten one pasta instead of 2 (or just one appetizer)!

Michelle Davis

Finally got a table here after years of having it on my list. I love sister restaurant Misi so was super excited to try Lilia. The service was excellent but the food let me down. The focaccia was flaky and dry — more like a biscuit than the chewy, moist dough I was expecting. The prawns were a chore to eat and the pastas were good but didn’t blow me away. It seemed like there was a bit of a backup in the kitchen on a Friday night and two of the dishes came out cold but the staff were incredibly accommodating and did everything they could to correct the situation.

Sarah Hui
Sarah Hui

Such a friendly staff and a beautiful space—busy but not overly loud, which made for a comfortable dining experience. We didn’t realize both the ramp butter and chicken liver dishes came with huge pieces of bread. It would’ve been helpful if our server had mentioned that so we could’ve balanced our order a bit better. I usually love chicken liver, but the plating here—with a greenish-brown piping—was visually unappetizing and made it hard to enjoy. The pastas were nicely cooked, but I didn’t love the texture of the mafaldine with peppercorns—it had a gritty bite that was distracting. That said, the Italian Job gelato was absolutely life-changing. I came in with low expectations because, well, it’s just gelato—but it completely blew me away. Easily one of the best bites I’ve had all year. I’d come back just for that and to explore more of the menu. Definitely worth trying if you’re curious about the hype.

Reservations months in advance at this local hot spot. Food is great and priced as such. Pizzas, pastas, lambs, chicken, but don't overlook the bread, it's fantastic. Food at that price point deserves a 4.5 but not 5 stars. Service and the atmosphere were both on point. Never skip dessert!

I’ve been wanting to try Lilia for the longest time and it’s seriously so hard to get a table here. So randomly on a Saturday afternoon, we ran here right when it opened at 4 PM and funny enough, a bunch of other people had the same idea too. We only waited about 15 minutes before we got a corner seat inside. The staff really tries to persuade people to sit outside but it was way too cold and windy for that, especially not ideal spring weather. The interior was honestly so beautiful, with this modern but rustic charm. The ceiling was made from rustic looking wood beams, and it felt like it was preserved from whatever the space used to be before. The textures and finishes throughout the space just felt super intentional and balanced. I already saw so many tables were reserved. They had a drinks menu and a separate dessert menu. We got a few of the dishes that are always recommended online: • Grilled Clams with Calabrian Chili and Breadcrumbs • Sheep’s Milk Cheese Agnolotti with Saffron, Dried Tomato, and Honey • Mafaldini with Pink Peppercorn and Parmigiano The Grilled Clams were honestly a 5/10 for me. They weren’t anything special, and I felt they were a little sandy, but maybe that was just the breadcrumbs. The flavor was decent, refreshing with a slight spicy kick from the Calabrian chili, but not something I’d rave about. I did appreciate that since we were 3 girls, they gave us 12 clams instead of 10 so we could split them evenly. Thank you to the staff for that! The Agnolotti was rich and creamy, with the flavor of the sheep’s milk cheese really coming through. The pasta skin was so thin and delicate, and I love combining the sun-dried tomato, a piece of garlic, and a bite of the Agnolotti. The dish had a hint of sweetness, and the overall flavor was really rich and balanced. Definitely a highlight of the meal! Now I wish there were some veggies in it, but still a solid 7/10. Now the Mafaldini, literally so good. Salty and slightly sweet, and I loved the touch of pink peppercorn because I love pepper. And omg I love love the shape of the pasta, it was so unique and cooked to such perfection. Al dente and super chewy in the best way possible. I can’t stress enough how much flavor came out of every bite. These noodles were longgggg too. Definitely an 8/10. The desserts did seem a bit overpriced, but overall I’d still love to come back for more items on the menu and to try some of the cocktails, since I didn’t get to try them this time!

Outside tables are right next to the subway grills so try to avoid outside table - it smells bad / mineraly. The agnolotti is a 5/5. Love the soft texture and light sweetness from that ricotta(?) filling. The buttered clams maybe a 4/5. Everything else was pretty bland. You can throw canned sardines on a piece of bread with a tomato jam or harissa it’d be better. Plus the bread was hard to bite. The gnocchi sauce tastes like .. pesto from a jar mixed with chopped up pistachios. Could’ve used more salt or umami or something. Total for 5 dishes without drinks came out to be $120. Dinner didn’t even feel like it was worth $50.

Service and ambiance here is immaculate. However I do find the overall experience over hyped. Our meal was fine. Not bad but not mind blowing either. Biggest disappointment was the roasted squash antipasti, strange texture and underwhelming flavours. The saffron Agnolotti was the one and only amazing dish that stood out.

B
Brianna Baker

It look me forever to get a reservation at Lilia, so I was happy to be able to see what all the hype was about. There were things we loved and things that were just “meh:” Loved: -the Select Spritz (it was perfectly balanced and one of the best spritz I’ve had) -Focaccia (truly a flavorful bread) -Agnolotti (popular for a reason!) Meh and lacking a hint of flavor: Cacio e Pepe Fritter (not bad just expected more - would benefit from a dipping sauce); Acorn Squash; Gnocchi So, did Lilia live up to the hype? In my opinion no, but it is worth trying at least once!

It truly pains me to give Lilia a 3 star review because I had been looking forward to going there for years, but here we are. A friend and I were able to get in at the bar for dinner on a Monday night by using priority notify on resy. To say we were excited is an understatement. We arrived for our 6 pm reservation on time and were taken straight to our seats at the bar. We ordered many things to share because there was so much on the menu that we were interested in trying and we were in from out of town so we knew we wouldn't have the opportunity to come back any time soon. We shared the cacio e pepe frittelle, grilled artichoke, delicata squash, ricotta gnocchi, sheep's milk agnolotti, rigatoni diavola and the lemon granita. The only dish that blew me away was the delicata squash which I could have eaten several orders of, but all the the pasta seemed very one note and not very flavorful. I had read some reviews that the restaurant had been overhyped and unfortunately that ended up being the case for me. The pasta was so underwhelming that I wouldn't have taken any of it to go even if I hadn't been staying in a hotel.

I had been dying to go to Lilia for years but I was disappointed with the food and the overall experience. The food was good but nothing to rave about. The famous agnolotti is overhyped. Same with the gelatto. I liked the clams and the focaccia the most. There are way better Italian restaurants in the city with easier reservations. Misi for example.

V
Veeta L

Lilia is sadly a miss for us. With the difficulty of getting a reservation and a price tag for what we paid ($100 a head), I’d expect the food to be better. The only 2 dishes we like were mussels and spaghetti pine nuts with a hint of lemon. If we were to come back we would order these two dishes again. 3 out of 6 dishes were very very nutty and we wished that the server would have suggested something different to balance it out. The squash texture was interesting but missing flavors and so did the gnocchi, even though the pasta was cooked very well. The lamb steak had interesting flavors with celery heart but we didn’t enjoy it. We were recommended to share 5-6 dishes between the 2 of us and it was definitely too much food. 4-5 dishes with 1 dessert would have been better for us. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staffs for a date night. Really wanted to like this place more ……

I was lucky enough to get a last minute reservation here on the last day of our vacation. We started with the fresh mozzarella on sourdough. The cheese had the most divine texture, it was so soft and went so nice with the crusty bread. The oven baked shrimp were massive and so flavourful. Slightly messy to eat but they gave you a wet towel to clean your hands after. I had heard that Lilia served the best pasta in the city. I had their ravioli, which I found disappointing. They were so small with a minuscule amount of filling. I also wish there was more of a sauce instead of just butter. We had their soft serve ice cream for dessert. The chocolate was great but the vanilla was watery, they did take that off of our bill. Great service and atmosphere.

I thought I won the lottery by getting a same-day Lilia reservation. I had high expectations and it mostly didn’t disappoint. The service and small plates were incredible, but the pasta was quite disappointing. The mussels, green butter and broccoli are a MUST, but add more small plates than pasta to experience an incredible meal.

Overhyped - I came with high hopes after hearing rave reviews, but the pasta was just average. The sheep’s milk dish was fine, the mafaldine was below average. Nothing stood out. Not worth the hype or the trip.

The service and the atmosphere are great, but the food was subpar compared to what other Italian NY has to offer. - Gem salad was way overpriced at $18 for 5 pieces of leaves. 1/10 - The focaccia was great and the butter made the bread. 10/10 - The Cacio e Pepe fritters and they just tasted like fried dough. You needed the butter from the focaccia to make it enjoyable 3/10 - both the Spicy Rigatoni and the Lamb pasta were very basic and honestly could have been made at home with little effort. 3/10 The staff were attentive and made the experience great. It’s super cute inside and really wanted to love the place but for the price and flavor, it would be a pass for me.

Given all the hype was mildly disappointed by the experience! The restaurant was drafty and cold (its a large converted space). Our partners had to put their jackets on at one point. 9/10 dishes were fantastic however they served the large lamb steak to share uncooked which was extremely dissappointing and ultimately we sent back to the kitchen. Not what you expect from one of the most talked about spots in town... Perhaps it was an off day for the restaurant and kitchen!

The food was great and the service was top notch, however, it was freezing cold in the restaurant. And apparently, this was not due to equipment failure, this is just how it is. MIGHT come back sometime, but definitely not in the winter. Definitely soured the experience.

Great vibes, service and appetizers. Loved the focaccia bread. However, the pasta was average and the food overall certainly didn’t live up to the 1 month reservation waiting period. Overhyped and a bit overpriced.

The Rigatoni was solid. But the Mafaldini lacked flavor. The Agnolotti was the star of the show. The fettucini ragù was flavorful but it was a lot of noodles and not enough sauce. We also ordered a rib eye steak that came out cold and rare, which had to be sent back. Overall this place is average, but overhyped. It’s a 3/5 stars and that’s an honest review. And I’ve eaten at hundreds of Italian restaurants.

I don't know what culinary experience, what alleged dining expertise or palate the people writing these reviews claim to have is but I would have to deeply disagree with the majority of the reviews of Lilia. For starters, the service at the restaurant was excellent. Everyone was patient with a smile and happy to serve myself and my wife. The atmosphere was nice but a bit loud, and the bar being positioned directly in front of the front door was a bit strange. I would especially imagine this being a problem on a cold night. Otherwise no complaints about service or the experience of the restaurant. Then, the food came. For background, I am proud to consider myself an experienced Italian from eating all over the country, in every region and in every small town. I have spent nearly every year of my life travelling for at least 2 weeks to Italy, and lived their for 5 months. When I tell you my family would have gotten up and left if they were served what I was, it's an understatement. We ordered the scallops appetizer per recommendation from the waiter (we always ask for recs) and I can't even understand what the thought process was beind this dish. 2 scallops, in a yogurt covered with walnuts for nearly 30 dollars? No effort whatsoever at presentation. Nothing else needs to be said about that one, it's not hard to pan sear a scallop. Ok fine, hopefully the signature pasta will be good and the ragù, a staple Italian dish. Sadly no. The ragù, as seen in the picture below, was perhaps the most disappointing plate of pasta I've ever had placed in front of me. It looked and tasted like they tossed the pasta in uncooked tomato sauce, sprinkled some sausage on top, and then topped it with store bought Parmesan. It just was not good. It had no flavor, the sausage wasn't cooking into the sauce and the Parmesan tasted like the plastic bins you buy at the grocery store. The signature agnolotti were cold flat out cold. The flavors were there but in my opinion they clashed, especially the sweetness of the sauce and the bitterness of the sundried tomatoes. They again clearly did not cook the tomatoes into the sauce to eliminate some of their acidity. Everything tasted like it was taken out of a container and heated up. Which unfortunately seems to be the norm nowadays with these high end Italian restaurants (yes I've eaten at a few). Then, dessert. We ASKED the waiter, what should we get?? She recommended the affogato chocolate cake. It was laughably disgusting. I have had better cake from a shitty grocery store when I forgot to bring something to my family's house. And the affogato was literally just melted coffee gelato. All in all. I cannot take this restaurant seriously and to be completely honest, owning Missy's book and idolizing her; coming into this restaurant because I've found her accomplishments so impressive, I was just so utterly disappointed. I cannot imagine if she sat with us and ate the dishes we were served by her staff she'd be at all happy. If you don't believe me fine. Go to the restaurant, most Americans who have not had real Italian food don't know and I fully respect that. But please don't come on here touting your eating expertise and claim a place like this, that's riding on hype and serving overpriced, sorry excuses for Italian food, is good. I really hope some manager or someone sees this review takes it seriously. I wrote a lengthy one because I don't want to just seem like a dumb disgruntled customer. We genuinely had a wonderful time but the food was simply not good, and it absolutely did not have the level of care Italian food requires to be put into it.

The ambiance was nice, and the waiter was lovely. The appetizers were disappointing. We got the mozzarella and expected an entire mozzarella for $18. It was just 3 pieces cut on toasted bread. The cacio e pepe appetizer was not interesting at all, with no flavor except the texture. The gem salad was okay, certainly not worth $18. The grilled lamb was good but didn’t come with any side. The agnolotti was the only thing that I really liked. I will not come back; inot worth the hype.

Sadly disappointing from the moment you enter. It’s almost comical but starting from the door which was incredibly hard to open to the host that couldn’t force a smile followed by the cold restaurant temperature (since it was a cold day) they couldn’t bother to get space heaters. If you are locking for a chipotle vibe with $XXX price tag look no further. Food was average defiantly not what you would expect from a Michelin star restaurant. The bass was extremely fishy and served lukewarm on a bed of a smashed boiled cold potato (this is not a Russian dish where potato is supposed to be cold) Server did his best and was nice to interact with, martini was also well made. It’s shocking that the place still operates on hipe from 2019.

Truly mid restaurant & experience. Ordered the focaccia & butter, came out quick - simply warm bread & butter but definitely not extraordinary. Not worth $20. Scallops - literally two scallops for $30. Not seared well enough & honestly still nervous I might have food poisoning tomorrow from this dish. Pasta - Agnolotti & seasonal beet casunziei were good, solid portions for two but would have loved more sauce. Smoked ricotta was very forward & gave a delicious cured meat flavor. Gelato was delicious to end the night. As far as Italian in NYC, have had so many better experiences for the price. Glad we were able to check this off our places to try but won’t be back or recommending friends.

So proud of myself for snagging a reservation at Lilia—one of the toughest spots to book in NYC. There were a few hits and misses, but the sheep’s milk agnolotti and olive oil gelato were definite standouts. Given that I really love Misi, I had sky-high expectations on Lilia. While both are great in their own ways, I personally prefer the food at Misi, the vibes and service at Lilia. *Roasted Ramp Foccacia with Green Ramp Butter $21 I was excited to try the focaccia with green garlic butter, but for the season (about six months), it’s been swapped with ramps. The focaccia was fluffy with a crispy exterior. I’m not a fan of ramp, so this one wasn’t quite for me. *Housemade Mozarella on Toasted Garlic Bread $18 Despite being piled with four thick slices of mozzarella and drizzled with honey, this felt surprisingly light. I couldn’t really taste the garlic, and the dish still leaned a bit salty. *Grilled Clams $28 I loved the gentle heat from the Calabrian chili and the crunch from the breadcrumbs *Sheep’s Milk Cheese Agnolotti $31 Lilia’s most iconic pasta—and my favorite dish of the night—lived up to its hype. The agnolotti was filled with light, creamy sheep’s milk cheese, and the dried tomato and honey elevated the flavor profile. *Pink Peppercorn Mafaldini $28 This is a love-it-or-leave-it dish. It was intensely peppery, spicy, and savory, with a strong peppercorn flavor that lingered long after in my mouth. The flavor was one-dimensional imo. Order only if you’re into pungent flavors. *The Italian Job $15 I was a big fan of Misi’s olive oil gelato, but I might like Lilia’s even more. It had more layers: honey, sea salt, and fennel pollen. However, after a few bites, the olive oil became overwhelming. The gelato was swimming in a pool of olive oil. *Vanilla Gelato $12 A basic, delicious combo with amaretti cookies, rainbow sprinkles, chocolate chunks, and walnuts. Pro tip: Resy opens at 10 am 28 days in advance.

Overhyped! We were so disappointed in both service and food. Lamb was so dry and full of cartilage. Artichoke and broccoli were drenched in cheese. Service and management were very unfriendly. Prices are unreasonable considering quality of food. Would not recommend

The restaurante was absolutely freezing to the point that guest were wearing puffer coats beanies and scarves indoors. Even the staff was wearing jackets. The pastas and warm dishes arrived cold, obviously and nothing special. We were told this only happened a few days in the winter but it’s completely unacceptable to open without heating or proper conditions for a restaurant of that reputation and that price. We were served lamb that was undercooked. It was a horrible experience. I will say that the staff was applogetic and service was good, its ultimately not their fault. Owners should really revaluate heating or not opening in winter. Don’t get the hype.

We got a food poisoning yesterday! I try to be as objective as I can: beautiful vibe, location and very kind service. The mozzarella was excellent and the beans were fine but nothing special. The clams were sadly way too chewy and overcooked and the mussels tasted old and not fresh, so we sent them back. The seabass was cooked well but not memorable. The staff was polite and removed the mussels from the bill (that was still pretty high) but unfortunately once we got home both of us got sick and we still are. Maybe it was just bad luck, but overall it was a very disappointing experience and I don’t understand the hype. I really hope the restaurant can fix this.
