Luna La Mer Brooklyn Reviews
The food is fantastic, coffee is extremely delicious, and the staff are all really sweet and friendly. We’ve been twice during our vacation and I’m hoping we can go back at least one more time before we leave NY. The pastries are incredible and I realized after the fact that they were gluten free. I’ve had a lot of gluten free pastries in my life, and most tend to have a telltale taste but these just taste like glutinous, amazing pastries. Blown away!
What a charming place! The cappuccinos are delicious & the food is omg, incredible! I had Prosciutto, Manchego & Arugula Croissant Sandwich & my husband had the Focaccia Sandwich with Mortadella, Pistacchio Kale Pesto, Burrata & Arugula. All the ingredients were so fresh & the flavors were amazing! Not to mention, they have very scrumptious pastries & the best snickerdoodle cookie ever! Update: Just had the Frittata for breakfast. What a delight! Excellent service & the staff are super friendly! Excited to have Luna La Mer in our neighborhood! Can’t wait to try more options!
We dined in but sat outside. Our order was ready quickly. We had the Short Rib Focaccia Sandwich and Sausage Roll, with a couple of iced apple ciders. Delicious!
Outstanding place! There owner put thought into everything, from the Berkey water filter, to the nontoxic crayons for kids, to the outstanding food along with the beautiful presentation. Love this place!
Go for the coffee, the friendly vibes, the crave-worthy s'mores cookie. But, above all, you MUST go to Luna for the short rib focaccia sandwich. We're talking luscious, slow-cooked grass-fed beef on fresh-baked, handmade focaccia — the stuff of meat lovers' dreams. If you visit the cafe on a Thursday, you can bask in the rich aroma of the meat cooking, and you may even walk away feeling a bit tipsy from its effects. But you'll need to come back the next day to try it. This house specialty is only available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays (while supplies last, of course). My advice? Go for lunch this Friday before it's gone.
Luna La Mer is such a lovely little cafe and a great addition to the neighborhood. Our family loves their muffins and seasonal focaccia, and their sandwiches are great too. The cafe is warm, clean and welcoming, with creative flowers on the tables and friendly staff. My only wish is that they'd get decaf espresso? This place is a must-visit and I'm so glad they're here!!!
1st-Timer! I was VERY impressed! Food=Excellent...Staff=Impeccable...Ambiance=Brilliant I'll be back! Best cappuccino in a LONG time!
We have been waiting patiently for this cafe to open since trying Luna La Mer catering and let’s just say it did NOT disappoint! The sandwiches are fresh and made on the best gluten free focaccia I’ve ever had! The latte was absolutely delicious! The staff is so wonderful and made the small space feel so welcoming and homey! This will definitely become a staple!
Phenomenal new Cafe’ on the block. The Sandwich was out of this world (the focaccia is so good), might be one of the best in the city! Cappucino was perfectly made, exactly the way it should be! This place is a must try if you are in the area. This is my new “go to” spot!
Unique, cozy, and elevated. — This place is a simple/sweet cafe, but also a proper daytime restaurant for lunch or for dinners from a grab&go fridge. The food is absolutely high end but the vibe is chill like it’s your favorite little local spot. — On top of all that, I use them for catering my client events, with full white glove service. They kill it every time. — Srsly an amazing spot. Go.
We stopped at this charming cafe to meet up with family in Park Slope, and it did not disappoint. The pastries were fresh, flaky, and absolutely delicious—especially the croissant and my husband loved the muffins! The cappuccino was rich and. perfectly balanced. We’re so glad we chose this spot over the Starbucks next door. I was also pleasantly surprised by their selection of healthy, freshly made to-go meals—a great option for busy days. This family-owned café is a gem and a fantastic addition to the neighborhood!
Amazing cafe! My new go to spot for a coffee and a nice sandwich or snack. The food was extremely fresh and the focaccia was so good that I had to get the sweet one as a dessert. The coffee was perfect, so now I don’t have to go to the Starbucks down the block.
i had fantastic gluten free focaccia sandwich and cappuccino at this cafe. they have tea and coffee, regular and gf pastries and even some savory take-home gf items. lovely environment and made me feel welcome.
This place just gets it. I stopped in a few weekends ago because I happened to walk by and have been back every weekend since. Everything I’ve had here is legitimately delicious, from the coffee, to the baked goods (esp the bread and cookies), and definitely all the prepared foods that I’ve tried (the lasagna and soups are so good!). They have a great mix of the classics and more interesting things if you’re in the mood for something different.

Unbelievable gluten free focaccia. I had the Mortadella and it was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. Lots of other incredible gluten free options including scotch eggs and pastries.
Good quality selection of sweet treats/pastries, light lunches and drinks. I enjoyed the pear juice, strawberry almond cake and a slice of spinach quiche.
Just got a chicken salad from there and it was so yummy! It's dairy free so the idea of a mayo-less chicken salad was concerning at first but the avocado was the perfect substitute! Such a cute little spot. Can't wait to try a sandwich
Fantastic cafe. Had an amazing gluten free sandwhich. The short rib you can tell is cooked with actual technique. Great coffee and very friendly service. Cute atmosphere and lil shop.
I come here all the time for their seasonal drinks and food. HUGE fan of their frittata and side greens in particular — they put adorable little flowers on them and truly they are the freshest greens around. I came all the time when I was pregnant as their iced cider was a favorite craving of mine. Now I love coming with my baby. The staff is so kind and always help me with my big stroller. Can’t recommend this place enough.
As someone with celiac I’ve been excited to try their gluten-free menu. On my first visit, I got the scotch egg and a pistachio latte, and honestly was a bit underwhelmed. On my second visit I got the gluten-free mortadella focaccia sandwich and it’s by far the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten. I want to try more of the menu but I just can’t go there and not get that sandwich!
Best place ever! The pastries, sandwiches and drinks are always on my mind. Very thoughtful, efficient, and warm atmosphere. A must-try.

Cute cafe and good coffee. Tried the cornbread and the pumpkin focaccia and both were a miss for me. Cornbread was super dry but decent flavor. Focaccia bread was solid but the topping was way too sweet and syrupy for my taste.
