The Esters is one of the best hidden gems in Greenpoint. The pizza in incredible, the crust is so light and fluffy and crispy on the edges and the toppings are all such high quality ingredients. They also have a seasonal sangria pitcher for $38 that is always fantastic (the current flavor is pear ginger for context)

Best spot in the area for a fresh draft pilsner and Margherita pizza.. the red sauce is to die for! And the Bartenders are so friendly, love the cozy vibe in here.

Some of the highest quality pizza with stand out ingredients (Those cherry tomatoes are divine and we still dream of the dips) and the best staff. And the place is just so COZY. Will obviously be back!

THIS was one of the MOST INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCES of my pizza-loving life. Walked in as soon as they'd opened (3p) on the hottest Tuesday of the 2024 July heatwave & welcomed by the most refreshing central air conditioning & the loveliest gem of a human named Tai. I visited the washroom, it was just as beautiful as the rest of the space & cleaner than most Brooklyn people - smelled amazing. (I said what I said.) The owner tinkered quietly over freshly molded gourmet bar pies, NOTHING FROZEN, particularly sourced ingredients & seasonal creations only available rarely & for short periods of time. An eclectic and eccentric delight for the senses ! I don't think I have EVER tasted a better pizza than the ones made by Jenny's hand. We bantered for nearly 3 hours, enjoying delicious specialty cocktails & joyous laughter. The service is spectacular, the flavor combos were to die for but the best feeling for me was the attentive nature of the staff. These quality people were very carefully chosen by Jenny at no rush or despair & her bar is one of the most beautiful places filled with incredible energies I have ever had the honor & pleasure of encountering. Cannot WAIT to go back! 🌞 SUNSHINE INCARNATE 🌞

Loved my experience at this joint. Friendly staff, rocking pizza, tasty drinks and a lovely atmosphere. Loved the classic pepperoni and became obsessed with the elote pie. Would come from jersey for that pie again.

The pizza here is delicious. The vibe is amazing with great lighting, plants and beautiful wood everywhere, and the staff is super nice 💯💯💯 I only had the T-model pizza but am excited to try everything else the menu has to offer.

Best. Pizza. Ever. This is the most beautiful bar in Greenpoint, not only the ambience, drinks are great. They a have a great selection and you can have some bites or the pizza, which there are no enough words to describe how this is - the crust! They are just perfect. Service is a 5star too. Loved the vibe, loved everything.

Esters has delicious cheese & meat plates and the Spa Day cocktail was so good and refreshing! We also tried one of their pizzas and did not leave a crumb…Would definitely recommend this place and can’t wait to be back.

Fantastic Patio , Rotating Pizzas, Frozen Drinks & Big Cheese Plates! This bar is a force for good in the universe. Great vibes & excellent people run the place

Just the right mix of bougie, and comfort. You can tell that a lot of thought has gone into this space leaving a lasting impression. The 50's era ice box behind the bar from where cold ingredients come from really tie the place together. In a neighborhood with tons of great food options, The Esters stands out with their drink selection and possibly the fanciest cheese and meat plates that you can get at a bar without being absurdly expensive. The bartenders were kind and approachable, not to mention attractive. The rest of the staff seemed happy to be there, helping to make our pit stop enjoyable and relaxed.

Dog friendly bar with outdoor and indoor seating with fantastic openness and breezes from outside. The team there is amazing, the drinks (wine, beer, cocktails) are top notch and the food is super tasty. They make their own pizzas (a bit like a Detroit style but not as greasy) and have a tremendous cheese and charcuterie selection. Unfortunately we always eat the food too quickly and I forget to take photos. If you like rose they have wonderful dry options especially the one from Provence.

Ok this might actually be the best pizza in Greenpoint and honestly maybe even the best pizza I’ve had in NY and I’ve had a lot of pizza. Also it is worth noting that I have never been much of a crust person and this pizza single-handedly converted me. Be prepared to need to eat an entire pan for yourself. I do wish some of the seasonal pizzas would become menu staples bc the notorious F.I.G. was straight up bliss.

Great spot for pizza, cheese plates, and drinks. They have an intriguing wine menu, and some special non-alcoholic options as well. Love the place!

After 6 years of walking past it almost daily I finally decided to go in. The Esters is a fantastic place to just go sit and talk with a friend over a drink and share some bites. In the last 2 to 3 the bars in this neighborhood have shifted to much louder places to hang out with a large group, so the Esters having remained as a sit-down-and-yap spot is refreshing. Drinks are delicious, I had a sangria which definitely wasn’t reaaaaally a sangria but who’s keeping tabs anyways. Then I had some sort of spritz, which I do not remember the name of, but it was kind of spicy and spectacular. Flatbread pizzas are even better than they look.

A cute little spot with a yummy (albeit limited) food menu. We went in on a Monday around 6:30 and were able to grab a table right away. You order at the bar and there was no real "table service" What we ordered: my friends and I split the spinach artichoke dip and a Margherita pizza and the pizza which had peas on it. The dip was nothing to brag on, but the pizzas were delicious. This is definitely more of a drinks and snackies type of place over a dinner place. We had a good experience overall!

FYI: they don't start serving pizzas until 3pm. Pizza is very flavorful, but each pie is only large enough for 1 adult. I really enjoyed it. Very cool ambiance and staff.

I went to try The Esters especially for pizza after reading amazing reviees about it but unfortunately i was pretty disappointed with it😔 service was also bad, in order to get a smile from the servers (even a “hello welcome”) was such a challenge. I do not feel like recommending this spot but it could be just an isolated episode and it could turn out better that this.

Stopped in here on a night out with my boyfriend last week, and we were told by a member of the staff that was behind the bar to seat ourselves anywhere in the restaurant and someone would be with us shortly to take our order. We sat in an intimate corner of the restaurant, right in front of the bar, for over 20 minutes before we decided to leave. We were completely ignored and not even given a glass of water, despite seeing other people being served. No one checked in on us, even though we waited patiently. Would not recommend this spot.
