Rakhapura Restaurant Buffalo Reviews
Had Pad Thai(spicy one) and spring roll and it was sooo good!!! Very close to the authentic Thai taste. Coming back to try more.
The food was priced very fairly and delicious, hot and fresh. Although the place is easy to miss, the atmosphere was inviting. Service is quick and easy. I will definitely be back to try something new. Genuinely don’t think there is much on the menu I would not like.
We had an amazing pre-theater dinner at Nai Restaurant before seeing a holiday show at Alleyway Theater. We made reservations, and our table was waiting for us when we arrived. The selection of Thai, Burmese, and Japanese entrees - including bubble tea - and appetizers is vast! We tried a mix of appetizers including the vegetable samosas and edamame. Our entrees included red curry, pad thai, and homestyle chicken curry. The food came out piping hot and was cooked to our exact spice-level requests, which was awesome. All of the food was very flavorful, fresh, and very well cooked and prepared. We also tried lychee bubble tea with tapioca and a thai iced tea. They were great! This is a hidden gem at the end of Main Street and you should add it to your pre-downtown event rotation. It’s close to the arena, the theatre district, the comedy club, the casino, and the convention center. They also offer takeout through DoorDash and Square. Highly recommend! 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Food here is always great! It is awesome to have authentic Burmese food in downtown Buffalo. Everything I tried here has always been on point and never disappoints. The flavors are bold and the portions are great! My go to is the Pad Kra Pao. You have to be cautious though when you say you want your food spicy. If you want to control your spice level I recommend getting your food with medium spice and asking for chili flakes on the side. Will come back again and again!
I ordered food for takeout for me and my partner and wanted to try a few different things since we’ve never been here before. We ordered the Garlic Noodle, Shan Noodle, Tempura Shrimp Roll, and Samosas. Everything we tried was delicious with my stand out favorite being the Shan noodle. Don't even know how to really describe the flavors, but it was so good! The portions didn’t seem as big as I expected looking at the size of the containers they came in but actually were very a perfect portion once plated. Saw way I felt about how dry the meals looks in the container (see pics), but once you stir it up its much saucy enough. The tempura roll was good and definitely would recommend the samosas too.
Food is incredible, Banh Mi was bigger than expected for an app…samosas were very crispy
These were the best veggie rolls I've ever had. The sauces were choice as well. Excellent experience and would go out of my way to come back. I love finding places like this.
Inexpensive authentic Asian food. Very tasty.
Just a note that my review was for Rakhapura. I haven't been under the new owners. I had the tofu salad and the garden veggie roll. Hostess was super helpful with my questions about the menu. Everything was delicious but the tofu salad was out of this world!
Was craving for hot tom yum noodle soup in this cold weather and we found Nai Restaurant near our hotel. Tasted authentic.
Incredible soup. Great location. Friendly staff.
Stopped in for a Monday lunch while waiting for the eclipse at the ballpark. Their Thai noodle soup was just like phó and was amazing! Their chili crisp spice was a nice addition to the beef, and their shrimp were huge!

The place is really quiet and the server was super friendly. The kitchen staff were very patient too. I ordered Pad Thai and my friend ordered sushi — both were super delicious, definitely a 9/10! The prices were fair.I forgot to take a photo because I was too hungry.
My favorite restaurant, I come here all the time and their food tastes amazing. The workers and owner are very sweet, attentive, and make you feel welcome. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.
Great food! I love the way they plate their food, reasonable prices as well. I'll be stopping by whenever I'm in Buffalo

After traveling all over south east Asia, I’ve been craving Thai cuisine since being home and this restaurant has satisfied those cravings. I often purchase their fried rice and pad see ew noodle dish. They are very consistent and great flavor profile.
I went here thinking it was boba tea world in a random thai restaurant... and it was? Idek The drink was nice though! Though they didn't have many flavour options available. The lady was sweet too

I got pad see ew and samosas. The pad see ew wasn’t bad but it wasn’t that flavorful imo. I ordered medium spice but it was spicy at all. The samosas were decent. I might go back to try more things.

With a 4.6 rating on Google we expected a delicious meal but we were very disappointed. While the waitress was very nice and welcoming, we didn't find the food satisfying at all. The papaya salad was just okay and the other two dishes tasted bad to us (although the four shrimp in one of the dishes were tasty). Other people rave about the food so maybe we just didn't pick good choices??

Great food. Poor customer service. After getting the menu I sat waiting for about 15 minutes. I had to get up and go over to find the waitress who was sitting with a friend gossiping at the end of the counter. They didn’t have the mango sticky rice which I was looking forward to. I finished my meal and not once in the 30 to 45 minutes that I was there did the Young waitress come to check on me. She had glasses and seemed very young. I got up went to find her again at the counter and she brought over a portable point of sale machine for me to pay. I asked for to go containers. She had me pay first in her viewing and she watched over the screen as I selected what type of tip to give. I felt compelled to give a 15% tip even though she did not earn it. The green curry although delicious looked like something fresh out of a cows udder ruminated and then released back into our world. The presentation left much to be desired. It’s interesting how businesses charge $20 for an appetizer and entrée yet pay so little attention to customer service.

Very disappointing and distasteful. Got the green papaya salad. It was very smelly and not appetizing. The menu didn’t state that it had fish sauce in it. The chicken fried rice also smelled bad and I found hair in my food. It smelled like old food mixed in with like juices of garbage. rakhapura Was very good but this new business not so much, I was disappointed.
