Hinodeya Dallas Reviews
La La Land on Lower Greenville was a great stop for coffee and a quick bite. The warmed chocolate croissant was delicious, and the coffee was equally solid. The avocado toast is a must as well. The atmosphere inside is cute, calming, and very welcoming, and the space was clean and well kept. There was a small line to order, but that’s expected at popular spots and it moved along. Recommend ordering online and pick up. The interior is on the smaller side, but it didn’t take away from the experience. Overall, I’d 100% recommend this place and would definitely come back- easily one of my top coffee spots I’ve been to. If I lived closer to Dallas, I’d be here all the time.
La La Land always makes me happy with its bright and fun atmosphere. The coffee is good too. I’ve been to multiple locations now - the Bell Ave location in Dallas is conveniently located in the Lower Greenville area near restaurants, bars, and shopping. This last visit, I had a pumpkin pie cloud cold brew and a Dubai chocolate pistachio croissant - both were delicious!! I brought my friends who were visiting from out of state, and they loved the place. I highly recommend.
Beautiful place! Drive is self service; order up front. Staff was busy but respectful, tactful, professional. They were busy but, they worked fast. My friend and I wanted to stop by for some coffee or caffeine while we were in the area. They have a variety of options but I chose to make my own drink; coffee and matcha mix and it was delicious, and my friend ordered a lavender latte. We loved our drinks and the presentation of our drinks. Love the yellow touches and aesthetic of the cafe. Great for small and large groups but mostly “study” or work groups. Place is great for studying or meetings and meet ups but still considered fast paced; lots of people coming and going. Love this franchise and will definitely stop by again. Till then, let’s sip!
Overtime the quality of it has gone down meanwhile the price has gone up. I ordered today on DoorDash an avocado toast and 2 drinks. 1 of my drinks was prepared so terribly wrong & the other was wrong but still tasted decent, as well as my avocado toast missing the egg. ~ Updated review: Changing my review from 3 to 5 stars because upon calling this Lala land we realized that I had ordered from a different location this time around on DoorDash but the Bell location went above and beyond and ended up remaking it for me. This is definitely their best location for dine in as well as delivery. They have some amazing employees here! Special shout out to Britney!!! Thank you guys! ☺️
Cool, Kind, Grab, and Go... First visit and will not be the last. This is a lively and popular coffee shop filled vibrant and fresh energy. For the tea/coffee/matcha drinkers looking for simple items to compliment their beverage, this is your spot. The pistachio chocolate croissant was epic. Whatever the filling was, as I write, the thought to return is pressing upon my psyche. The bathrooms were clean enough considering the busyness. The staff were friendly with beautiful smiles. Seating is limited inside and a few seats outside for those with pets. It is located near many restaurants and a popular grocery store. It is great to order, grab, and go while walking the neighborhood or grocery shopping. Family friendly. Dog friendly outside. Plan to wait in line.
Stopped by today since my friend wanted to try La La Land and I hadn’t visited La La Land in forever. I normally get my usual drink and toast. Coming in the place everything was set up cute. They currently have a Disney theme going on and the whole place had Mickey and friends decorations all around. Even our drinks had the Disney sleeves. Our cashier was really nice and not too long of a wait😊
Great place to drop in for a coffee and a pastry. The way an old house has been transformed into a coffee shop, creates a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
La La Land in lower Greenville is so cute and has delicious coffee. Definitely not a place to go if you don’t like super sweet coffee, but there are options to get less sweetener if you prefer. The vibes are impeccable inside, and the graphic design/marketing team thought of everything. I love that you can get every drink matcha or espresso. This location has a small indoor area that can get overcrowded (esp on weekends), but there’s additional seating out back.
This place serves coffee with extra kindness – I swear my latte smiled at me before I drank it. Amazing vibes, friendly staff, and a cup that makes you feel like the main character in a feel-good movie! ☕✨😄
Came in today to get the co workers coffee for the day! And was greeted by a young bright lady who suggested the matcha for national boss day and my boss loved it thank you Lauren!
Always love a good La La Land coffee! No matter which location I go to, they’re always so friendly. This was my first time at this location which is very unique but also a great spot for it is behind Greenville. Thank you so much for a great experience as always!
Shout out to the girls working on the night of Jan 5th! It was our first out of many times!! The cashier that helped us was super friendly and helpful in figuring out what we would like. She was super patient and made the entire experience wonderful. It was a super laid back and friendly experience the ambiance and the drinks were all perfect. She suggested the Strawberry fields drink and it was perfect blend of berries and matcha. Thanks to her the Lalaland near Lower Greenville has our full loyalty when we visit the area. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ LOVED IT😆🥰
Matty completely made my week! The customer service was truly above and beyond. You can tell they genuinely care about the people who walk through the door. Such a great experience 10/10
This was the absolute best experience I have ever had at a coffee shop. Sam was the sweetest soul! The strawberry matcha and the French toast latte was INCREDIBLE. I will be back next time I'm in Texas! So thankful!
It's love at first sight! Why didn't I come here sooner is the question. I love the atmosphere. The music, decor and friendly workers are so spot on. I was greeted by Sam when I took my order. She was full of knowledge and told me this was the first La la Land ever which is pretty cool. She told me about all the cool drinks available and helped me find the perfect bev with my allergy. 10 out of 10. This is my new coffee shop!
Cannot say enough good things about EVERYONE at this MAGICAL place where every expectation on every front every step of the way is met. Absolutely amazing food, all of it. Noodles are a little thick, but that helps them to be that much more filling and satisfying, which they alongside whatever you put or add to them always are. And the curries. Oh my whoever's in charge the curries! They in nothing but good ways send my senses into flurries lol. Rich, warming, spicy, authentic (much like was the case for the ramen too, btw), filling, and just totally worth my time, money, and effort to hike up there every single time I have enough to becable to afford and tip respectfully, and will A L W A Y S be a place where I'll encourage folks to stop by and spend a dime on some food that's oh so inviting, for it and the Hinodeya experience... they're nothing at all shy of MAGICAL and mesmerizingly utterly Divine. Also: their bottomleess lemonades are the things that can invoke in someone the feeling of freedom and giddyness one can have invoked by running naked and "swimming" through a wheat field or really high grass in the country lol. Good good GOOD stuff.
My husband and I stumbled upon Hinodeya which is kind of hidden on Greenville. We waited about 10 minutes before we were seated(looked at the menu), given water upon ordering, ordered as soon as we sat down. We ordered the Brussels sprouts(roasted, not sweet) they were so good. We also ordered the fried gyozas and the spicy shrimp dumplings everything was cooked to perfection and very tasty. We both ordered the Spicy Miso Special at a 3 spice level (oni-Kara) our noses were running but it wasn’t overpowering that you couldn’t enjoy it. I got the chicken, husband got the pork the meats were even so flavorful. I am not a big broth drinker but this is my bowl. The BROTH, so tasty, creamy, buttery, amazing!! We will definitely be back. The staff is very attentive and so nice. We had multiple people apologize for the wait but we don’t feel we waited longer than 30 minutes total being Sat and getting our food. We drive for good food and our drive to this location is between 30-45 minutes. Hope this helps!
Feeling cultured and happy 😃 this ramen sure was slippery!!! Silly me don’t know how to use chopsticks…my bad! My bad! My friend Robert m got extra spicy ramen. WOOOWEEEE SPICY CITY!!!!!!!!! But we were not actually in spicy city don’t be confused…it’s Dallas you see xx 💋 my ramen was delicately eaten by me with care and love. Thank you very much.
I arrived here just before 2p for lunch and was promptly greeted and seated by the staff. I ordered the Pork Katsu with curry at spice level 1 and an order of regular edamame (it is available in spicy for those that like that). The edamame was cooked to perfection and probably the best I have had to date which I wasn’t expecting. My Katsu curry was also perfect! I didn’t have to fight to bite the katsu and the outside was perfectly crunchy and crispy. Dipping the Katsu with the curry and a some greens was really tasty. I will absolutely be returning! Thank you for making my lunch much more enjoyable than anticipated.
Easily the best Japanese restaurant I've ever eaten at, and it's not even close. The ramen stock was so full and flavorful, and the curry was so thick and flavorful! Just be warned if you choose to add spice, they actually make it spicy. And the service was more than I could have even asked for 10/10
The food and service were absolutely exquisite! The staff attended to us right away and served ice-cold water. Our food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering, and everything was so fresh especially the noodles, which looked and tasted amazing. I’ll definitely be coming back. 10/10 experience!
Dropped by for a quick bite and ended up really enjoying it. I got the miso ramen, and it hit the spot — flavorful, comforting, and not overly salty like some places tend to make it. The broth had a nice balance, and the noodles were cooked just right. Toppings were fresh, especially the corn and scallions, and the pork was tender and well-seasoned.
Great food and service at Hinodeya Ramen & Bar. The ramen is rich and flavorful, the fried shrimp is crispy perfection, and the bento boxes are stacked with variety and value. Don’t skip the sake flight—it’s legit. Perfect for lunch or a chill dinner with friends and family. Enjoyed the healthy portions and range of flavors..
If you're a ramen lover looking for a unique twist on traditional flavors, Hinodeya Dashi Ramen is an absolute must-try. Unlike the typical tonkotsu or miso broths, Hinodeya specializes in a light yet deeply flavorful dashi-based broth, rooted in traditional Japanese culinary techniques. The result is a bowl that’s comforting, balanced, and surprisingly refined. The dashi broth is the true star — rich with umami from kombu (kelp), dried fish, and other natural ingredients, it’s both aromatic and clean-tasting. Each sip feels soothing and soul-warming without tihe heaviness of pork-based broths. The noodles are perfectly cooked with a pleasant chew, and the toppings are thoughtfully arranged. They are very accommodating with portion size.
Was craving some ramen, so I decided to checkout Hinodeya Ramen! Given that it's in Lower Greenville, the parking situation isn't the best. It's a small lot with limited spots, so I felt pretty lucky snagging one. Inside, it's spacious with a nice mix of tables, booths, and a bar area. I tried the Hinodeya ramen. It was solid overall, but the flavor didn't quite hit the mark for me, it could've used a bit more depth in comparison to the best bowls of ramen I've had. The other important ramen components to me, the ramen egg and chashu, were good but just not the most flavorful or tender/soft I've had. We also ordered the Tonkotsu ramen, and I preferred the tonkotsu broth, which was executed well. I wish they had the seasonings on the table like most other ramen restaurants I've been to. I will say the noodles are probably the highlight as they had great texture and thickness. Based on my judgement, I do think the noodles are made from scratch, which is definitely a plus in my book. For appetizers, we got the chicken nanban (Japanese fried chicken with tartar sauce) and takoyaki. Both were tasty starters. The chicken nanban was an interesting but delicious combination. The takoyaki was slightly undercooked to me. Overall, service was good, the host and waiting staff were friendly. All around, not a bad spot if you're craving ramen. It's not the absolute best I've been to but i enjoyed my meal and the experience.
I’d been wanting to try Lala Land for a while, mostly because I love coffee and wanted a break from Starbucks. I visited the location on Lower Greenville and ordered the large French toast latte and a croissant. Unfortunately, I wasn’t impressed with the coffee. It wasn’t hot more like lukewarm and while the flavor was okay, the portion didn’t feel worth the price. The croissant was delicious, but definitely on the pricey side. What really stood out, though, was how slow the service was. There were only three employees working, and I’m not sure if people had called out or if the shop is just so small that they only staff a few people. I actually felt bad for the employees because customers were crowding around and watching them make everything. Overall, I wouldn’t go back. The coffee tasted mostly like milk, and for the price, it just didn’t deliver. In my opinion, they’re charging too much for what they offer. I really hope they get more help for their staff.
I go to lalaland a lot and their upside matcha with banana cold foam is my absolute favorite, I’ve gotten it at least 50 times in the past 4 months. Only critiques are it seems like the amount of cold foam is coming out of their paycheck?? for some reason they always skimp me out and do a a literal drop and think that’s enough. If I’m paying almost 2 dollars for it I don’t want it to dissolve the second I put my straw in my cup. Not only at this location but nearly every location I’ve gone to except the legacy easy location. And if they don’t give me a singular drop it’s because they just don’t read the ticket and they don’t give me any at all. Other than that it’s a clean store, employees are nice plenty of space to study or just sit and relax.
The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, which made for a pleasant experience. That said, the food could use some improvement. The tonkotsu broth was lighter than expected and lacked the rich depth of flavor I was hoping for. The katsu was well cooked, crispy on the outside and tender inside, but the curry itself tasted fairly standard, similar to curry made from cubes. Overall, wonderful service, but the food was only average.
I love La La Land! I go out of my way to drive to Dallas for it weekly. I visited this location for the first time and let me just say. I like the atmosphere and how spacious the location is. But, if the wait times are going to be long which I don’t mind. Please don’t burn my toast. I tasted burnt particles the entire time. Not enjoyable
I used to enjoy this spot but after my most recent visit, i won't be visiting or recommending this restaurant again! Our server completely disregarded my party of 3 after taking our food orders (including an appetizer). We had to wait over 30 minutes just to get an update from a different server. She was great, but when she told us that they did not input our order to the kitchen because of a larger party of over 10 ppl who arrived over 15 minutes AFTER us HAD to get their food first, this was very irritating to hear. (i know it was over 15 minutes because there was so much noise being made while they were moving tables and chairs to accommodate the large party when they arrived). What happened to first come first serve? This was very inconsiderate of our server to not check up on us or at least input our appetizer to enjoy while we waited. We did not see him again until he served our food. The food was great to enjoy, but the complete opposite to digest! I'm assuming since they rushed our order, the food reflected this since it DID NOT sit well in our stomachs later that evening.
I waited over 35 minutes for a single coffee because the line was completely disorganized. When a spill happened, it took more than 10 minutes to clean up, which pushed everyone’s wait time even further. The staff didn’t communicate, redirect the line, or try to speed things up. I left extremely frustrated, and I’ve never experienced service this poorly managed at any other location. There were more people waiting for their coffee than the actual order line.
Horrible experience. I ordered through the app specifically to avoid traffic and waiting, but when I arrived, my order wasn’t ready. When I asked about it, the cashier checked with coworkers. While a few employees were kind and genuinely tried to help, the woman making the drinks was extremely rude and dismissive. She repeatedly spoke to me in an accusatory tone, insisting that I never placed an order—even after I explained that the website froze during payment but still charged my card. I showed clear proof of the transaction on my account, yet she continued to interrupt others who were trying to help me and kept accusing me of not ordering. I’ve been here many times before and have never encountered such unprofessional behavior. It’s ironic for a place that calls itself the “Kind Cafe.” I will be speaking with a manager about this experience.
