San Isidro El Paso Reviews
Had the enchiladas montadas, great flavor of the chili sauce, wife had the divorced eggs, and both were excellent, if you're sensitive to hot food this place isn't for pansies, most authentic food on the West side of El Paso
Stepping out of your car in the parking lot, you're already hit with the delicious aroma of freshly made authentic Mexican cuisine. The ambiance is like walking into a bar style, rustic cantina with a homey feel. Amazing and fast staff that takes pride in their job. We wanted to try a little bit of everything, so we ordered.. Chile Colorado burrito, which the meat was absolutely soft and filled with flavor. Breakfast egg burrito which was super filling, has eggs, bacon, ham, and potatoes. A burrito of carnitas that were not dry at all, and cooked to perfection. The chicken mole tasted a little sweet with great flavor. The menudo is every day not just on weekends like other restaurants. The menudo was not too spicy and definitely hit the spot! The prices are very reasonable for the large portions they serve.
Had the most delicious salad and the portion was huge. I was able to take some home. It’s a must try and a great little hidden gem.

Very friendly staff. Norma always does great.
My husband and I ordered takeout on New Years Day and were very pleased with our meals. We were worried we wouldn't find much open on the holiday, but they were open and prepared our to-go order very quickly. I enjoyed the "divorced eggs" and my husband opted for the huevos rancheros. My dish was excellent - both the green and red chile was very tasty. The pork was tender and well seasoned and they cooked my sunny-side-up eggs perfectly. My only regret was that I had only one tortilla instead of two because the pork chile, an egg, and a tortilla made an insanely tasty burrito. My husband also enjoyed his dish, but felt it was a little bland, which is surprising because he's pretty spice-adverse and usually prefers things to be very mild. In any case, great service and food, and we would gladly stop by again if ever in the area.
Delicious food every time. One of my favorite spots to eat. I love the molcajete style salsa. Yummy! Everything is delicious. Daily specials so be sure to ask. They serve breakfast all day, too. 👍🏻
This restaurant was really delicious!! Definitely recommend we went mid morning but the whole menu was available and the chef was really accommodating. The home made hot sauce was delicious I wish they had bottles to sell.
This remains a great breakfast spot here in the Upper Valley. Tasty food and friendly service. It's a small little family owned place and I appreciate that. Wonderful to have this restaurant in the neighborhood.
San Isidro Mission Cafe is a cozy, welcoming spot with authentic Mexican flavors. The breakfast and lunch offerings are fresh, hearty, and perfectly seasoned. Tacos, tortas, and traditional dishes feel homemade and satisfying. Casual, friendly, and full of character — a great place for comforting, flavorful meals.
Local neighborhood favorite. Small comfortable setting with tasty traditional menu options and attentive staff. Plenty of parking.
I had a burrito de deshebrada, very well prepared and every bite was tasty. The chips and salsa alone are delicious. The servers were very courteous and helpful. My elderly mother complained about each item she ordered, the sopa was too salty, the caldo de res had too much fat and only a little bit of beef, but she does that anywhere she goes. What stood out is that they were very patient with her and since she didn't eat, they removed the food from the bill. She calmed down towards the end and admitted to our server that maybe she was the problem because she can't taste much. Thank you for your kindness. I (alone) will definitely return to try other dishes.
First time here, service was absolutely great, as its food!! Will be back.
Super yummy food! Waitresses are nice! Price is cheap. Takes a little while, worth the Waite. Chips and salsa is great. I got it to go so no pictures.

Had a bacon, egg, and bean burrito. It was great. Fresh and made to order, their green salsa is perfect.

Delicious chicken mole with potato soup on the side. The salsa was very tasty and spicy made with roasted green chili. The place could get a little crowded as its not that big and a lot of tables. Their service was quick with friendly staff.

I order 10 breakfast burritos for a take out order. They were ready in about 15 minutes from when I called. It was on a slow Sunday morning. The people were nice when I got there. I was a little surprised at the price for the small burrito's. I ordered sausage and egg and bacon and egg. They tasted fine but you definitely need two if you’re hungry.

We had already eaten at this restaurant before the food was mediocre/very small portions back then and expensive prices, the owner was overbearing, never letting us eat comfortably as she was always pushing to sell things that weren’t on the menu. This restaurant is now under new management therefore we thought it would be better. Still small portions, with higher prices, and reheated food. We ordered tacos, Gorditas and a torta. The tacos, the meat was dry with no flavor, same with the Gorditas. I ordered a ham torta and the lunch meat tasted cheap and it had American cheese on it. Wonderful service though, but awful food and too expensive. Don’t recommend, sorry to say.

I ordered a large chicken soup for my sick grandkids to share. Mind you they are 8 and 6 years old. The soup had one small potato, 2 carrots, one piece of cabbage and 5 piece of calabasitas. Guess what the price was? Around $14.99! That is insane! If they are going to charge that much the least they can do is give you a reasonable amount of vegetables in the soup. Never again.

My family & I used to eat here every Friday, but got tired of the wait time to get our food. Today I was talked into going back, because the lent lunch specials had been good in past visits. Never, never ever again. After an hour after I had ordered, I still had not received my food. There were 5 of us at the table. My niece hot her food 37 minutes after ordering. My nephew got his a few minutes later. Then my sister-in- law got hers about 5 minutes after that. My brother's meal came out, but was not as had been ordered. Still I sat. Full of ice tea & chips & salsa, but no lunch. After an hour I complained to the owner & walked out. Never again.
Used to love this place, but right now I'm in the fetal position in bed with food poisoning. I'm pretty sure the eggs were bad. Or maybe the cheese. Either way, never ever again. And the new owner is so unapproachable.
This place doesn't even deserve my 1 star because it is complete trash. I was served a great value meat patty with old rotten French fries. It was disgusting and I felt like throwing up but was unable to ask to use the restroom since it's not public! Even after we told them that the food was garbage, tasted rotten and I was unable to get rid of the nasty taste after trying to eat it....they gave me a solid $3 discount. Food is GARBAGE!
