One of my favorite milk tea spots in Pasadena. The red oolong milk tea is incredibly fragrant, and the boba is always perfectly cooked. I usually order it with 10% sweetness, and the flavor is always spot on. Staffs are always welcoming and helpful as well. Highly recommend!

Love this boba place! The silk boba is a cross between a jelly and the warabimochi. It’s not as firm as the jelly or not as soft as the mochi, but a perfect blend for your drinking pleasure. The Golden Buddha Silk Boba at 50% sweetness was perfect and hit the spot. A definite must try if you’re in the Old Town Pasadena area!

Nice little bubble tea shop with good amount of options and quality tea. They have merch for sale as well. The drinks are on the pricier side and well made. They have some samples for the tea and the staff are very friendly.

Came for the soft opening around Valentine’s Day and have been back too many times since… it’s a problem. The milk tea (champion, with boba) is delicious. My guilty treat in warmer weather is their yuzu osmanthus with jasmine silk boba, light ice. I recommend perfect sugar, which is half sweet. Staff is nice but drinks can take a bit when there’s a lot of people. And it’s definitely on the pricey side. But worth a splurge to try.

Odd One Out tea really stands out from other boba shops. Their unique taste with high quality tea and toppings always has us coming back! We're excited for their new location in Pasadena . Our favorites include: Champion Milk Tea, Jasmine Silk Boba, Yuzu Osmanthus and the Icy Peak with coconut sugar boba!

I was influenced to come here because of an Instagram reel, and I don’t regret it. I’m a big boba alternative topping person, so whenever I find someplace that has toppings other than the usual boba or jellies the store will stand out to me. They had jasmine silk boba, wintermelon silk boba, coconut sugar boba, and coconut almond jelly. After testing their samples, I ordered a yuzu osmanthus with the jasmine silk boba. The yuzu flavor was light which I enjoyed and it paired well with the other tea flavors. I’m never sure what sweetness to adjust to with citrus drinks, so I ended up leaving the sugar level as is which was a mistake for my palate as it ended up being way too sweet on the first few sips. One downside is that the shop itself is very small with no seating, so it’s not a place to hang out with friends. Although Old Town Pasadena on a sunny day is a nice place to take a walk. Whatever drink you end up ordering, I’d recommend the silk boba. I’ll definitely be back again to try the wintermelon one.

This cute little shop in Pasadena was a real nice find. They offer this really unique topping called silk boba. It not quite a jelly or a boba, but has the boba QQ texture. I got their Oolong milk tea and added their wintermelon silk boba. It was delicious. They have a bunch of other tea types, which seem to all be from Taiwan. I’ll be back to try their other teas!

a bit expensive but so worth it. it really puts all the other tea boba i've had to shame. i will say their nutty macha was not very good... but everything else on the menu has been the best in it's catagory out of any other boba place i've tried.

Odd One Out Tea has completely transformed my tea drinking experience! From the moment I opened the package, I was greeted with an incredible aroma that promised something special. The flavor profile is perfectly balanced - robust without being overwhelming, with subtle notes that develop beautifully as you sip. What truly sets this tea apart is its unique blending technique that creates a distinctive character unlike anything else on the market. The quality of the leaves is exceptional, and I appreciate the company's commitment to ethical sourcing and sustainability. Whether you're a casual tea drinker or a connoisseur, Odd One Out Tea offers something truly extraordinary that deserves a place in your collection. Absolutely worth every penny!

Odd One Out Tea in Pasadena is hands-down one of the best boba spots I’ve been to—unique flavors, quality ingredients, and the perfect balance of sweetness and texture. I tried their popular Yuzu / Jade and five stars!

I love Odd One Out! I first tried their location in Sawtelle and fell in love with the quality and craft of their teas, so it was exciting to see they had opened another location over in Pasadena. The location is smaller and the line was long, but it was well worth the wait to get a high quality boba drink. I opted for their Oolong Milk Tea with Oat Milk and reduced ice. You can really taste the tea and I found the less sugar option to be perfect for my liking. Boba itself was solid and perfectly cooked. While the drink took a bit longer to come out, I say that's a testament to how busy they can get and their intentionality behind making each drink count.

Here on a weekday, not too crowded but has customer walking in and out every now and then. I was offered to try their Champion Milk Tea and Yuzu Osmanthus. Im personally a milk tea person but their Yuzu Os was really refreshing with the perfect blend of Yuzu and aroma of Osmanthus. But! As a milk tea person of course I went for the Champion Milk Tea. I personally think the milk tea has too little of the tea flavor.. Ordered extra sweet but somehow wasn’t sweet enough and wasn’t as sweet as their sample (which they claimed was less sugar). I added Wintermelon silk boba as a topping to my milk tea and omg! i live the texture and sweetness of the silk boba. Only thing that lacks was Wintermelon flavor for their silk boba. A little more on the expensive side as a milk tea costs $10 with topping but I would come back again for their tea. A little disappointed at their staff as I ordered no ice but was given regular ice level.. hope they could pay a little more attention to customers customization as this affect the experience. But considered it is still their soft opening, hopefully they can improve on that for their grand opening.

Came a few times and had pleasant experience. Except the recent visit, one of the female asian server was pretty rude when I was trying to order fresh milk no ice with boba, she said to me “oh we don’t do drinks with no ice”. What kind of F&B store doesn’t let customer skip ice if they demand to??? Plus I’ve been here a few times and never had the issue when I asked for “no ice”. It’s winter season now, why can’t customer order drinks with no ice?? Also, just want to throw it out here, I ordered their fresh milk drink with boba, which is purely just cheap milk plus a scoop of boba, it costs me $8…😂 what a joke, find yourself some other boba shops in old town that only costs $5.5 for the same thing

Not bad, but it's nothing special. I ordered their Champion Milk Tea and it was quite creamy. The tea flavor is subtle but the drink doesn't taste watered down either. I got it with 50% sugar and it was a bit too sweet. I'd go for 30% sugar

Ordered the champion milk tea. Tasted watered down, was really looking forward to their “award winning” taste. Just okay taste.

First time here, the drinks were good. BUT, the service definitely needs to improved. Especially Vicky, I repeat three times what I asked to order, that girl came up with dark face to me whole time.

9 dollars for a champion milk tea with boba, it better be worth the money but it was very mids. Definitely not worth the price. The awards they are claiming seem so fake like what authority does Belgium have for boba. Every cup suppose to be freshly brewed but I saw it poured from a premade jug. For the awards and price I was expecting chun shui tang or better but it was not that good. Tea itself felt higher quality but did taste like it was over brewed and had a bitter taste. This place was a one and done for me. For Pasadena my go to spot is Alittle Tea, half the price and way better product.

Truly did not like their drinks. Ordered 2 different ones apart from their samples since the samples were just too sugary and the flavor was not good. I should have known from the bad samples but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Their tea flavor doesn't stand out and their drinks are not my cup of tea. No pun intended but I'll never return and I advise if you're looking for good drinks...perhaps go elsewhere or at least try the samples and if you don't like them don't try other drinks. Also their boba's flavor was not good couldn't finish my drink.

Ordered via doordash and took OVER 1.5 hours for my order JUST to be done preparing so I had 6 different dashers assigned/cancelled on me. There was also NO way to reach the store since they automatically send callers to voicemail/robo-response and sends you a text to which they also don't respond to. Absolutely ridiculous. Whats the point of having contact info if I can't reach a single person? Even their corporate line sends you directly to voicemail. Drinks also tasted disgusting.
