Popped into this place for the first time. Was not busy but should have been. Drinks and food were top notch. The bartender, Steve, was fabulous. You got a new regular.

I walked into Rudi's not knowing what to expect to find a crowd of women singing karaoke. I had been practicing with my ipad camera. I asked if I them could I record them. The response? Smiles from all of them and a thumbs up, from a gentleman sitting just behind them. I spoke to the Bar Tender about their entertainment. Sports was 1st and I quickly assumed music was 2nd. I could not help but notice how friendly everyone was to me, this stranger. I returned on a early Fri. evening bringing my ipad with the intent to get some pic's to write this review. Just about everyone I asked, did not mind me having them pictured in this review. The club was filling up and a small band was just getting started. Bar was about 2/3 full. I sat ordered a beer spoke to, what I beileve was, the weeked Bar Tender and got a great photo of him. (Photo collection item) A gentalman next to we shouted "Brubeck!" I repeated what he said and we did a closed fist bump (what I would call a high five and a handshake at the same time) This band was a little rough around the edges, but they were just warming up. Sax, guitar, bass, drum box and female & male vocialist. Lounge & dining area iswondeful (see the pics:) Very cozy! I had to leave early, but wow! I will return. Made friends there, in only two nights. I did meet The Cook, next time I am staying for dinner! .

One of my favorite places in the city. The sandwiches are unique and delicious. It's also one of the more hockey friendly bars, not just for the Penguins either, they'll put on whichever game you're looking for. Seems they have a PlayStation 5 available for customers to play too. Staff and owner are very nice too. Giordano's fans, it's just as good as before. One change, which I like, is the fries are tossed in Old Bay seasoning now. Delicious!

Atmosphere is awesome! We had the time of our lives in San Francisco’s Rudi’s. So fun. We will be back for Open Mic.

I'm a big sports bar fan, this is best one in Mission that I've been to, lots of screens, good service, lots of drink options, usually a place to sit, and some tasty bar food.

Oakland Staple, everything is done fairly well, one block away from Pixar studios. This is what the standard should be in my opinion, (yes I said opinion if you know me I work with facts so this is big) why because they deliver exactly what they advertise so you are not misguided or get false hopes followed by disappointment, overall quite happy after eating here. Thank you

Went out to celebrate my birthday (and watch copa America final), started out alone and ended up making friends with bartenders, the owner, and a few patrons. This place was a great vibe. They sang happy birthday to me and overall the ambiance is on point. Dope spot for sure

Steelers fans from da 'burgh. Watched the Steelers vs LV Raiders which were on several overhead tvs located throughout the establishment with Pittsburgh nostalgia on the walls too! Other games and fans were all having a great time. The Buffalo wings were excellent and just like Western New York, but bigger and complete with celery, carrots and Blue Cheese dressing! Ranch is available. Good selection of beers and cocktails. Personable experienced staff and owner. Recommend Buffalo wings, garlic fries and of course the Pittsburgh sandwich, yes the fries and slaw are on the sandwich. Can't wait to go back!

Great sports bar with the best buffalo wings in SF! Only removing one star because the prices have increased a lot. The main issue is there's been multiple times only one dude is there to serve a full bar -during a game- which can mean up to a 30min wait for a drink (even if it's your first and just a beer). He's great, but the risk of that definitely keeps me from going pretty often. It's always a good time after you get a drink though :)

Pros: Awesome for watching football. Always have the sound on which is great. The food is really good, you can't go wrong with any of the selections. Decent taps though I could use more basic stuff like Bud light. They also do a 25% service charge on everything to pay the staff which I think is great. Cons: Very expensive. Draft beers are already priced high for the brand of beer served but they also come in like 12 oz glasses I'm pretty sure. It feels sneaky but maybe they're just trying to get the business going again. Food is fairly pricey as well, stuff like the burger seems regularly priced but it doesn't come with fries. With fries it's obviously way above standard. The mimosa carafe was a great deal at 22, but then they increased it to 28 despite the menu saying it's 26. All that said, it's a fine place to watch football but strains the wallet

Nice neighborhood sports bar, right across the street from the Roxie theater. Long bar seating on one side, tables on the other. Lots of TVs, 24 beer taps (only about 16 in use at my visit), decent back bar selection, and even a good choice of rums. Good sized wings with great buffalo sauce, mozz sticks could be better, but are ok. Food prices are a little high.

As nice, clean venue. Must admit when I first walked in there were a number of people at the bar and weren't sure if they were sitting out not. Seemed that they were regulars in watching the Pittsburgh penguins game. Appears that it's a big Pittsburgh fan bar. My bartender was really nice, is she a have service. Did you have a great happy hour from 4:00 to 6:00 with half off beers and appetizers. The appetizers look awesome.

Same fantastic sandwiches that were at Giordano Bros, good selection of beer, friendly staff. They lose a star for the 25% service fee though. Would be better to simply charge higher prices and note that staff are paid above market rate so tips are not expected.

I had high hopes for Rudi’s to carry on the tradition of Giordanos (5 star), but it’s unfortunately falling short of what it use to be. The wings/sauce are still one of the best in the city, but it ends there AND the wings are 2-3x as much as they were not too long ago. The quality of the Pittsburgh style sandwich has degraded the bread is no longer fresh and soaking everything up, the slaw is really oily and the steak is not as lean. The staff is mostly on their phones with club music bumping for an empty bar which use to be packed with Sat/Sun football fans. Other than the paraphernalia and the sandwich, this really isn’t a yinzer bar anymore. They need to bring back the yinzer staff to advise and make in-house pickles again or might be better off creating a new identity.

I really loved my sandwiches, I had a delicious sandwiches with fries (inside Pittsburgh style of pride) for 8 dollars. That’s a hard deal to beat these days. The beers and drinks were fairly priced as well. They have a 50% happy hour, from 4-6pm I need to check out. However, the service was pretty bad. We ordered beers, we got our food, still no beers, we had even talked to the waiter and asked questions about the beers, he even verified what we wanted. We went finally flagged him over, he didn’t even acknowledge he forgot the beers, and said “oh they are coming”, 20 minutes after we ordered them. To be fair, 90 seconds after that we had our beers. It’s ok though …the reason for 3 stars is this. They have a 25% tip that is mandatory and added on. This tip gets divided up to the kitchen, bartenders, servers….heavens knows who else. There’s NO transparency where it goes too….is some of it going to the owner? Possibly. And that’s not ok, an added gratituy should never go there. And we have no way of knowing it’s not. This makes you feel like with the 25% gratuity, I really need to tip the server on top of this, simply because who knows what piece of this the bartender/server is getting. It felt more like a service fee than an added gratuity…and it left a bad taste in my mouth. Even though the service was not great, I left feeling like I should have tipped the server. Clarity on the service fee would help a lot. I always tip 20% minimum even for bad service. Yes, even here in SF. I’d rather see higher prices, on the food and drinks, and tip normally is what I’m saying. Beyond that, I hope to visit soon. And hopefully with more clarification I can upgrade my review. The food and drinks are fire

Service was fine, place was clean. My issue was with the food. Ordered the Pgh style sandwich and it was not even close. Don't claim Pgh and not have the food correct, especially for $20. Some people would call this cultural appropriation. Just take the sandwich off the menu, like they did the pierogies, and take all the Pgh memorabilia off the wall. Very upsetting considering Giordano's did it correct for so long.

This place has a mandatory 25% tip included on all orders and the service was terrible. I had to wave down the server multiple times/ get up to talk to them just to order a beer. No quality check on food or refill checks. There was like 6 people in the bar and I felt like the server didn't care about us as they were automatically getting a 25% tip. The bar itself is quite nice, and a great selection of craft beer on draft. The service was just disappointing.

Great vibes but frustrated that wouldn’t serve tap water, even upon request. They were implementing a new rule that you had to purchase bottled water, which is a disappointing environmental action from a local SF business.

Extremely disrespectful and greedy owner ruined Super Bowl experience I was enjoying watching the Super Bowl game, and had taken a small table to the back for myself. Had 2 drinks and food, and after not ordering for one quarter right as the halftime show was about to start, Rudi kicked me out with no warning. Didn't even give me the opportunity to grab another drink to watch the half time show. Never coming back here again. Complete unacceptable behavior from the owner, Rudi and he should be embarrassed to call himself a hospitality professional. He’s a greedy vibe killer and doesn’t respect his patrons AT ALL. 0 score on hospitality, and I'll be sure to make that very apparent on every review site I can find.

Used to love this bar until I discovered they charge you an extra $2 for a mix drink. $10 for Jack plus $2 for coke. $12 total WITH happy hour pricing. Who does that?
