Ceylon Curry Staten Island Reviews
The best place to have Sri Lankan food is in NYC. You have to take the Staten Island Ferry, and you can either walk or take an Uber. It's totally worth it. The food is not expensive, and the staff is very friendly. The food is exactly like in Sri Lanka, with the same spices and freshness. You must try the lamprais and chicken kottu. The portions are generous. The place is somewhat spacious, and I highly recommend it if you are near NYC. It's even better than Sigiri.
Tasty food, friendly staff, and nice atmosphere. Loved everything about this cute little place. Will definitely come back!
Cute little Srilankan spot, food was great, definitely a must try.
Best Srilankan authentic food restaurant in NYC. As a Srilankan this is one of the places where I can taste the srilankan food apart from home. It's like a home food made with care. The MUTTON curry is so delicious and very well priced. My wife loved this place, we ordered the food every day for more than a week. Egg rolls, chicken kotthu, chicken fried rice was so tasty too.
we took the ferry here and we’re thrilled with our decision! the food is amazing and the staff are very kind! 10/10 would recommend

Delicious food with real Sri Lankan flavor! The curries are full of spice and taste just like home. Portions are big, prices are fair, and the staff is always friendly. Sometimes service is a little slow, but it’s worth it for the fresh food. One of the best Sri Lankan restaurants around! 🇱🇰🍛

You know you are homesick when craving Sri Lankan rice and curry during your vacation. Took the Ferry ride all the way from NY to Staten Island and it was so worth the trip. Food was just awesome. The ginger plain tea signed off the craving!!! Service was great. Host was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend to try this restaurant!!
This place has delicious, authentic Sri Lankan food with great service! The hoppers and kottu were amazing, and the flavors were spot on. Friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere—highly recommend!
We were pleasantly surprised to see an authentic Sri Lankan restaurant here with a buffet (every Sunday). Fantastic selection of curries and even fried rice and a Sri Lankan desert all for very reasonable price.. Highly recommended for anyone visiting New York craving for Sri Lankan food. The atmosphere was very Sri Lankan too. Oh, they also had Sri Lankan short eats, again, reasonably priced and tasty.
One of best Sri Laken restaurant in Staten Island. This place is beyond amazing! The food is top tier quality, the service and ambience is above and BEYOND! Everyone is EXTREMELY welcoming and pleasant. They make you feel very comfortable. Our server, Alper, was extremely awesome and attended to us very frequently! The decorations and layout of the entire restaurant is beyond impeccable! They even gave us small dessert on the house! We love this restaurant and will definitely be returning again!
Great food! great atmosphere! And the owner is very kind and make sure everything is in order. Shorteats are my favorite! Specially the egg rolls and egg roties were a hit! We'll be back for more!
I have been going here for 20 years but went back recently to try the food with the new owners. It was excellent and delicious. The new owners were lovely. I will definitely go back.
First time trying them out today. Very good food. Nice people. Clean places to come eat at.
This evening we were delighted to visit “Ceylon Curry”once again. We ordered our family favorite “string hoppers”, and some curries like kiri hodi, polsambol and mutton curry. The food was delicious!!! It had great flavor. Cudos to the cheff! We have been to many other resraurants but this one by far surpasses the others when it comes to authentic taste. The hospitality rendered by Shermith was excellent!!!He made us feel like at home by taking care of our needs. The restaurant was clean, cozy and immaculate. We loved our dining experience at Ceylon Curry and look forward to returning. 😀🥂
I got the fish bun, some rolls, lunumiris, with some Dahl and coconut sambal with a coconut roti. Wow. What an amazing lunch. I came in super early they had just opened but were so nice to give me their fresh and available foods. Even made me a milk tea with fresh ginger pieces in it! This place has amazing home food available. Best quality. I had their chicken Kotu a few nights ago and came back from Long Island for some bites. It's that good!!! Would definitely recommend this for some real Sri Lankan eats !!!

Poor customer service and a disappointing experience. We were served food in plastic dishes while other customers received ceramic plates. Water was not provided until about 30 minutes after we started eating. The restaurant atmosphere was messy. Even as Sri Lankans, we would not recommend this place for dinning.
