We stopped to catch a bite on the way to Floresville to pick up a Harley Davidson Motorcycle. I was blow away by the spicy chicken tenders. They were so good & the gravy was good. I will most definitely be stopping by again

This is the first time I went here and the chicken was really moist and tasted great, the fried pickles were great and the gallon of tea was good but not anything special. Went thru the drive through and had a big order , wait time was about 10 minutes , but I thought that was great because everything was hot and fresh tasting.

My husband and I absolutely love this resturant. The food is delicious, the staff is very friendly and I recommend this place to anybody who is looking for good chicken. We have never had to deal with any disrespectful person or wait a long period of time.

I was very impressed with the customer service I received here! My catfish & okra were fresh & delicious. I live in a big city but here in Seguin Tx on business, it was nice to get a great meal at a great price from friendly folks at Chicken Express off Highway 123 bypass! Favorite chicken place. Chicken pieces came from Godzilla huge. Sweet Tea was made in heaven.. by Angel's. Bit pricier than others. But, worth every penny. In my humble opinion.

I work a few miles down off I-10 near Seguin and live in San Antonio, where you can’t find a Chicken Express. Started coming to this location once I realized it was there and have been coming almost daily since. The service is phenomenal the cashier is always so friendly and she’s always smiling. Even the cooks make conversation and have great customer service skills, they’ve gone as far as holding the door open for me when leaving and so has the cashier! The food is always hot and soooo good, the place is clean and I’m never disappointed when I come here. It’s hard to find employees who exemplify good service these days and this location definitely nailed it during the hiring process. Definitely my favorite lunch spot! Highly recommend!!!

Great food. The best chicken of any place, including Church's, KFC. and any others. Never overcooked, never old oil, always fresh. Clean stores and great staff.

The chicken is great, probably a single notch below the good homemade stuff. Good sides, about what you'd expect. I never had the rolls because the biscuits are so consistently good. But... the sweet tea... best sweet tea, almost better than I make myself, with the crushed ice. If I'm in the area, I'll usually stop by just for a large cup of tea. Prices are not fantastic, there isn't a discount menu like the large chains, but it won't break the bank for dinner.

Chicken Express is my favorite place for fried chicken. Today I decided to try the tenders. I was a little let down. The tenders had too much batter. Now the green beans are very good. And they have real good sweet tea.

Would recommend; however, check your order before leaving. noticed the recent reviews have been consistent with the service I received when I was given the wrong items the last two times I visited. That being said, the management is on POINT they rectified the whole issue, and truly made me feel like they value their customers so I changed the rating to 5 stars!! The food is great when it's done right!

We went in because the line outside looked crazy long. Ordered and was out of there in 10 minutes max maybe. Great team work at this location. We ordered 30 spicy chicken tenders. And 15 spicy, but those ended up coming home as regular and not spicy but all were happy anyway. Daniel at the register was super polite and could tell he died strived towards making customers happy.

Just wanted to take a moment and give a shout out to the young man who helped me fix my order at the window today (3/5) around 5:30 at Chicken Express on 123. My order was a little scrambled, and he was able to help me with a beautiful attitude. I especially appreciate him not giving me a hard time about it because today we suffered a very personal loss, it was just so nice to be helped with kindness, and I very much appreciate it. I didn't catch his name but he helped sort out my request for biscuits/rolls combo and was tall with dark hair.

Is it perfect chicken? No. But, the food always tastes fresh, our order is always right and we have yet to encounter a rude employee. In other words: it's way better than Church's.

Food came out quick and hot. The only problem I had was the chicken distribution in my 8 piece was off. 3 wings, 1 leg, 3 thighs and a breast? First time eating at this location, but as a whole Chicken Express is one of my all time favorite franchises.

Appears they won't open the dining due to laziness to clean. Other Chicken Express 's have opened. We were told it was up to the franchise owner. The quality of food was good but the most unfriendly and rude employees. When our order was ready, employee at window handed it out and said "here you go". No thank you ar anything. We won't return. Good chicken. Only get the chicken strips. The price seems to be getting higher every time I go. But still worth it. I always get the roll with it but I tried the biscuit for the first time. Not a fan. Will stick with the rolls.

Fantastic fried fare! Things I love about Chicken Express? Gravy. Cream gravy. Fried okra--perfectly crispy and very hot. Sweet tea. Big, ol' portions. They have a wonderful habit of slipping extra chicken tenders in your order. Oh, and the tenders are cuts of breast meat, not some manufactured, pressed conglomeration. Finally, when you order a 2-piece meal, you can pick the pieces. What more could you want?

It's a fast-food chicken place so it is not what would be called "cozy," but we wouldn't expect it to be. The food is good; the service is fast and friendly, and this is a place I would recommend. Been there several times, and will be going there again.

Yes, the chicken here is always good but I really like all the various sides even more. Sometimes I think I go here just for those. Just a warning -- their mac and cheese is slightly addictive as are the fried okra and coleslaw. This location is well-kept and clean and the employees are fairly friendly and helpful.

Spicy strips are a must. The manager was super nice about the last minute catering call. Even made fresh gravy for us. Awesome.

I went there hungry about 6 pm. I ordered the three piece meal along with Cole slaw,Fried Okra buttered corn on the cob mashed potatoes,green beans, potato salad and two gallons of sweet tea which I find delicious . The meal only comes with two side orders but I love the many side orders. The food is good and I like the crusty crust on the chicken. I got there just at the right time before the supper crowd rush started to arrive in the drive through.. I recommend Chicken Express.

The chicken tenders are really good, but the spicy ones be top tier for me. The rolls are soft and just warm and a pure delicacy, especially with mashed potatoes. The mashed Potatoes themselves are really good and nice. This is what is preferred for me.

I love this place always look forward to eating there.. This time a took some time to observe my surroundings.. and it was a bit concerning the window seals in dining area are filthy the floors need some serious attention 4 tables were dirty when I got there and same when I left.. the girls were touching their ponytails and I never saw them wash their hands.. the boys on the other hand were actually cleaning, sweeping and wiping work areas.. girls take notes !

The food is OK, but the service is poor. These teens they're hiring are rude. No smiles, attitude when they talk to you, they almost grow the food out the window.

This locations has a habit of not having enough chicken to last the hours they are open. If you go after 9 your only choices are chicken tenders because they stopped frying other pieces and didn’t make enough for the late night rush. EVERY DAY they pull this, acting like they ran out when really they intentionally start closing down before they are actually closed. They bet on you not wanting to wait 15-20 mins to cook more. So annoying. Close down early but make enough chicken that’s what you’re there for! Ugh

Bone in chicken was good. Biscuit was hard and didn't really like the Macaroni and Cheese. My brother thought everything was delicious. He ordered striped with roll.

Dined in for lunch at this location. Chicken tenders were warm & tasted good. Service was standard for a fast food fry shack. My only negative comment would be the lack of cleanliness. Both the dining room and the men's room appeared not to have been tended to in quite a while.

Food was good, but the place was really dirty. Crumbs all over the floors. Tables had trash and grime on them. Even the seats were not clean. The register had a layer of dust on it. I wiped the screen facing me to get the dust off and it just smeared with sticky stuff under the dust.

I generally stop here Sunday after grocery shopping for a quick lunch. The last few times I've been the chicken has had a weird taste to it. I'm not exactly sure what it is, so I've stopped eating the chicken for a while to see if it changes. I love the green beans, though, so I'll stop and get a half and half of tea and some beans.

Bought 3 different orders of chicken ay 11:45. It was DRY! The fried okra had a strange taste like the oil was old..

Constantly inconsistent and burned chicken livers ordered in advance with other company people. We did not even get our drinks !, And ordered over and hour ahead for pick up. My liver was so burnt and unchewable.

I like the food at chicken express but my last order was totally messed up. I usually get the 2 pc Dark with 2 sides and a roll. I ordered 3 orders; all the same to make it easy. One was missing a side and the roll, and the other two were each missing a side. I live 20 miles away and didn’t have time to go back. Plus, the price was $3.00 more than my order of the same thing last week. I let the price go but when I got home and saw what was in the bag, I was very disappointed. Not sure I will go back.

after waiting 25 minutes, I stepped inside to ask about my order. as it happened the chicken liver slot was not only fu, but quite a pile. the young man filled the order with 3 extra livers and my bombers count was 3 as my 2 sides but he missed my drink. I showed the ticket and was given a regular size for a large that I ordered. I should have asked for my recipe back. that's my fault. but the bombers were ok, not fresh, and the livers were less than acceptable. they tasted old. then to top it all off, my thumb pierced the thin cup that held my full soda. it spilt rapidly over my truck. so, as you guess, I'm not a happy customer. normally, I'm quite the fan. but this experience will be hard to forget... james willis seguin

Food was okay but I prefer to spend my money where the employees are more courteous. The girl working headset was rude and acted like she was doing me a favor by repeating my order. Snotty little attitude. The young man working the window was quite the opposite, very friendly. Approx. 1:30pm on 7/18. This happens often here and I do realize good help is hard to find in Seguin.

I picked up an 8 piece deal on Friday evening. Sides were mashed potatoes and green beans and iced tea for good measure. The chicken was great, as was the gravy. The sweet tea was delicious. However, the salt content in the potatoes and green beans was enough to drive a car over on the bonneville salt flats! MEAL was useless. Gross!! Please consider customers when adding additional salt to already salted items (canned green beans - rinse first if you plan to re salt, packet potatoes - not much you can do to remove the salt from that but do not add any more salt). Do any of you ever taste test the food you serve? Reduce the salt, we couldn't eat anything but the chicken and gravy. Money wasted on sides that you couldn't eat and, it cost you 3 stars in my rating.

My wife & I went threw the drive thru earlier this evening at 5:37pm. The cashier Aliza C handed me my food, I explained to her that I was missing some of the order. She went back, & brought me the rest of my order after I brought it to her attention, however, as she handed me the rest of my order, I said " thank you" & she nvr said you're welcome, she just shut the window. Seemed like she had attitude!

Twice now I have ordered and paid for the 3 piece fish, only to get home and find 2 pieces of fish. Once I ordered and paid a dinner and large Coke, and was brought the dinner only. People not paying attention to orders are sending me somewhere else.

The service and food were less than desirable. I asked for gizzards, but was told it would take about 10 minutes. That led me to believe the staff was not interested in helping me with my order. After being told about the delay, I ordered chicken strips. I got two spicy and two regular flavor. The chicken strips were cold and hard. Because the restaurant is not open for dine in, I couldn't let anyone know how disappointed I was with this place. Needless to say I will not be back.

We have always had really good service and food at this location. Today, not so much. Arrived about 1:20 pm and it was not busy. Took 15 minutes to get our order. Some items we were told had to be cooked fresh and it would take about 8 minutes. When our order arrived my wife’s order, the one that was going to take 8 minutes to cook, was obviously dried out and cold. The staff person she spoke with asked “So do you want s fresh order?” Nearly 15 minutes later, after I saw the freshly cooked items put on the line and sit there for nearly 5 minutes, someone realized that they had not delivered them to the table. In the meantime another customer who had ordered a large chicken tender for she and her children, returned them because they were not hot and was had to ask for fresh. We will certainly look for different options in the future.

I remember when Chicken Express used to not allow tiny tenders to count towards the meal count. I guess standards have changed. The girl at the drive thru window was very polite and the food was very good.

Went to the 123 location and ordered the two piece chicken I got two breast as my pieces and okra for the side the chicken was over cooked and bland and the okra was cold and soggy I didn’t want to finish eating it, it was that bad. The employees that work there always look like they are making fun of you when they hand you the order.

Food is always great. But they seem to be skimping on the fries and this is the third time I have ordered spicy. And not received what I've ordered. If you want chicken express drive to a different one. This one sucks.

If this had been my only experience with Chicken Express, it would have been my last. Dead flies in the window sills, spider webs in the corners, just totally nasty. As for the food, that too was a one star experience. We wanted to order the same special we usually get at the CE in Comfort, but the little twit behind the counter said we could only order a lunch combo. We ordered a two piece (wing and thigh), with cole slaw, and a drink. The wing was okay, but only slightly warmer than room temp. The thigh was absolutely dripping with grease, and the inner pockets of yellow fat were still visible. Yuck. The cole slaw was totally devoid of dressing ... just plain shredded cabbage. And the twit taking our order said she couldn't give us a senior discount because "it is already discounted". No wonder the dining room was empty ... we were the only patrons there. Should have been a warning sign to us.

We came in a little over a week ago, ordered a snack pack and a #1 They brought it all out 15 mins later finally. The corn nuggets and mozzarella stcks and fries were barely even warm there was a lot of people in line so we atr the chicken and left. We called when we got home and told them. The manager said he would replace the items that were cold id we came back i said we dont want to come back now just for the side items.He said tell you what if you wanna come in one day ill just replace the order for the inconvenience. We gave him our order number he looked it up and we said ok. We go in tonight, they bring us the side items and the cashier said we will bring the chicken out in a sec we ware waiting on it to cook. Then i take the side items up to ask if they can put under warmer to keep it warm while we wait for chicen. Manager comes and says he wont replace whole order. That the mamager we spoke to only put down to replace side items. Armando was a little a****le about it the whole time we were in there. Whats bad is its not the first time half our food was cold. We askes the name od the mgr we spoke to first and he refused to tell us we called before we went in to make sure everything was still ok to get he said yes. We get there and this stupid drama. If these places would hire people with better manners or at least people who care about cuatomers it would be nice.

I used to love Chicken Express in Seguin. Today I ordered the gizzards & livers, which were the oldest, toughest gizzards & livers I've ever eaten. The drive theough window employee was really nice, & asked if we minded waiting 10 minutes, & I replied that would be fine. But 2 or 3 minutes later she was back with our order; now I know why --> they loaded up our lunch order with all the oldest livers & gizzards they had. Awful!

Service is great, however the food has NO Flavor. At All. I was really surprised because I’ve been told that they have good food. They Definitely need to Add some Flavor to their food.

Chicken was dry and seemed to be old. Mashed potatoes were the same,very crusty. Obviously been sitting to long. They got 1 star because biscuit was fresh. Employees seemed like they had better places to be. But this is the new way of the world.

It would be great if just once I could have all of my order be correct. Almost every order is missing the biscuit. I also rarely receive the dipping sauce I request or ketchup or any other condiments.

I quit buying food here several months ago due to being shorted an item I ordered and paid for! I live 35 miles away so not possible to go back! I have called and talked to manager a number of times. They just tell me to bring in my receipt and they will refund my money. I realize mostly teens are working there and they need to learn. So, I have been patient but they continued to make mistakes. Manager did tell me, when I asked, that the managers train the employees. Well, they are not doing a very good job! And I am not the only person being shorted. They are usually my “go to” for fast food. They have been good in the past but have been going downhill quite a bit lately. Maybe due to the kids running the show?!?!? Chicken was cold. Corn on the cob was ice cold. They took it back and heated it up in the microwave but it still wasn’t done. I’m very disappointed. I’m done with the Seguin Chicken Express.

No matter how many times they screw up my orders i kept going back because the food it good. After spending 50 dollars I expect to get my complete order. After i watched the rude girls at the window double check my order figured it should be right. Well that was not the case. Looks like ill be going to Rusty Rooster from now on.

My experience here was not a good one 1.my order was as if they gave me someone else's order almost nothing I got was what I ordered 2.the macaroni had no flavor at all and the mashed potatoes did not taste good 3.the chicken wasn't even that good and I have definitely had better I will not be coming back. $62 for completely wrong mediocre food don't waste your time here.

I won’t be back! My first, and last, time visiting was less than subpar. The cashier was friendly but the guy who gave me my to go order just plopped it on the counter & said “there ya go.” I asked for a bag, he just grabbed one & tossed it on the countertop & said “here ya go” & walked away, he didn’t offer to put my box in the bag so I actually had to put it in the bag. The food was way overcooked and DRY as a bone! The mashed potatoes had a glob dolloped on top, as if someone took their finger & cleaned the potatoes from scoop & flicked it in on top. There were crumbs from the breading mixed all throughout the potatoes and there was a WAD of crumbs on the bottom of the potatoes, mixed in but quite visible! YUCK! What the ever loving heck was that? Disgusting! The dinner roll literally was squished! The person obviously smashed the roll with the tongs….Absolutely Not worth the $10 I spent for two tiny, dry, overcooked chicken legs, gross mashed potatoes & and a smushed dinner roll.

Well this is not the first time this location has disappointed us. In the evening hours.. Ordered 8 mixed with Family fries and a all my white meat was burnt and the fries looked like a regular order not a family order. So I will be trying other Chicken places in the future.

I don't know who own this place but i don't know how you stay in business! At least once a week your dinning room is closed. Its 5:30pm and its closed again. JUST CLOSE THE LOCATION IF YOU DONT WANT TO OPEN THE WHOLE RESTAURANT!

I went once and will never go again. I ordered at the drive through and waited to get home to see my food. (I lived right down the street) My food was horrible. I got fried chicken with 2 sides (green beans and mashed potatoes with gravy) and rolls. A roll is supposed to be round, mine was flat like it had been sat on. My green beans were mushy and cold. My mashed potatoes with gravy was more like gravy with a little bit of mashed potatoes. Eat here at your own risk.

We go to the drive thru at 7:20, ordered gizzards and the person on the speaker said they were "out of gizzards for today". I ask does that mean there out completely or just not cooking them today. Someone decided that they were not cooking gizzards at a restaurant at 7:20 when they close at 9 or 10pm. If were the owner the manerger and the person telling people they were out "for today" would be fired on the spot. They are in business to make money, but someone being lazy just cost them money. I normally spend $40 or so when we go there. Decided to not buy anything and went somewhere else. Thanks for nothing.

Also you guys are lucky my 1 year old did not eat the chicken as I would have a big case against you guys. As soon as we walked in, it stunk. Nobody greeted us when we walked in, in fact they kept talking and ignored us. When the kid finally came up to the register he just asked what we wanted. My husband said we were still trying to decide (because we hated the service and the smell) and the kid just shrugged his shoulders at his coworker. The young guy in front needs more training, and possibly a dad to teach him how to be a good man when he grows up. We walked out and went to Rusty Rooster instead and it was great there! Don't waste your time or money at this place. To be fair, the food looked good and the place didn't look dirty, but honestly we didn't trust our food being handled by a young kid with no manners or respect.

Apparently his staff has been ringing the HEB coupon up incorrectly all year, and instead of just explaining this and apologizing for the staff mistake… he prefers to gaslight his customers. He didn’t even introduce himself as the manager and was offended when I asked for his name. Train your staff better and take responsibility for your mistakes, that’s part of being an adult.

I cant prove this part ig, but it looked like there were 4 different styles of Chicken strips. Some looked and tasted old, and others looked and tasted older, dry as a bone. Girl at the register wouldn't take her eyes off her phone. From the time I walked in the door until the time she acknowledge I was there was well over 5 minutes. When she acknowledged me, her greeting was, "here or to go?" I told her I didn't want to interrupt her phone time. She corrected me with, "Etsy." She continued to have an attitude and was extremely rude the entire encounter. This place has gone straight downhill the last year or so. Edit to add: Guy in black shirt and multiple gold chains proceeded to stare at me from behind the register while I ate and talk to the girl very loudly about how, "people need to learn respect." And how, "he'll teach them if he needs to."

My wife picked up dinner tonight from chicken express. It's been awhile since we've been there. Sorry to say that it will a long time before we try it again ! Order # DT307. It's no more than a 15 minute drive home but everything was cold, not warm. I've eaten a lot of of chicken over the years and they passed off some old cold chicken ! The sides corn on cob and fries were even worse. When the corn soaks in the water there has got to be a time limit before it's bad. Really, they had soaked up so much water that the kernels burst like a water balloon. They tasted like old nasty water logged cobs which should of been thrown away ! Even the cob was mushy and nasty. We love corn on the cob but these were not edible. I feel like their dumpster. Quick note. If you want people to return you need to send out better food.
