Absolutely loved this place! The shumai were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly steamed. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients, and everything came out hot and delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was fast even during busy hours. The shop is clean, cozy, and has a really inviting vibe. I’ll definitely come back again — highly recommend to anyone who loves good dim sum!

Authentic, delicious food with incredibly fresh ingredients. Everything is handmade on the spot, and the beef bone broth is simmered entirely from raw ingredients — you can really taste the depth and richness. I highly recommend the fresh shrimp & pork siu mai, and personally I also really enjoy the lamb-flavored siu mai — the ingredients taste exceptionally fresh. The dine-in environment is clean, cozy, and welcoming. A wonderful place for genuinely authentic flavors.

Tried this spot for their shumai and it definitely lived up to the hype. The dumplings were juicy, flavorful, and perfectly steamed. The texture of the wrapper was thin but held everything together nicely. Service was quick, and the prices were pretty reasonable for the quality.

I heard the shumai here is from Inner Mongolia, so my expectations were a bit higher. The taste, however, didn’t quite live up to that. The biggest issue is that it’s too salty, to the point where other flavors are hard to notice. On the bright side, the dumplings are juicy and the wrappers are thin and light. If the seasoning were less salty, they would actually be quite good.

Unbelievable delicious and super hard to find this kind of meat Shumai. Most shumai in nyc are southern style which is filled with sticky rice, but meat one are the best to me!! Really recommend everyone to come and try it. Beef and lamb are the two classical flavors must try

stumbled across this spot and I’m so glad I did! The shaomai are absolutely delicious – juicy, flavorful, and clearly made with care. But the real surprise was the cabbage salad – super fresh, perfectly seasoned, and addictive in the best way. It’s simple, but honestly one of the tastiest sides I’ve had in a long time. The menu may not be huge, but everything feels thoughtfully done. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving comforting, well-made food.

I got the cucumber with sesame sauce and the lamb shumai. The cucumber was a great appetizer, light and crispy, and the lamb shumai were so tasty! Very flavorful, good broth, and they tasted very fresh. I was looking for a quick stop to grab a bite on my way to a show and this was perfect. It looks like they might mainly get takeout customers, but they have a few tables inside so you can sit, which is great for travelers.

Had an amazing meal at Niukee Shumai today! The steamed shumai were absolutely delicious — generously filled, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. Each bite was bursting with flavor and made with care. The beef bone broth soup with tofu skin and glass noodles was also fantastic — light yet rich, comforting, and full of depth. The side dishes like kimchi, cucumber salad, and seaweed were fresh and well-balanced, a perfect complement to the main dishes. The restaurant has a clean, cozy vibe and the service was warm and attentive. Highly recommend Niukee Shumai if you’re looking for authentic flavors and a satisfying meal. Can’t wait to come back!
