The food was really good a little expensive but worth it and great customer service I recommend
Very innovative concept…loved the food options. There are several veg and non veg options to choose from. We ordered the Veg Burritos with paneer and Chick peas option, Chicken (Marinated) Burrito and Chicken Rice bowl. This seems to be family owned…They were really nice and welcoming. Overall great ambience and clean place…Loved it. Don’t forget to try tea and Gulab Jamuns.
I’m in New York, over from Michigan, and my co-worker had taken me to this place for lunch. I believe this is my first time having Indian cuisine, but this place was great! I am certain that I may have found a new found love! Check it out, please! You won’t be disappointed. Happy eating. Enjoy!
I am in the area for work and decided to give this a try. Food was delicious. We have a similar style restaurant locally that i love and this was just as good! Chicken tasted fresh and tender. All the add-ins were delicious as well including the garlic naan. If you haven’t tried it yet I suggest you do!
This place is where it’s at. You like spices, affordable food and great portions? Ditch chipotle and Rachel’s because they got nothing on Naan-Tastic. When I tell you it is delicious and you’ll keep on coming back? I got myself two bowls with garlic naan and a mango lassi. My favorite thing off the menu is their lamb and their Punjabi Mac (a must try). *attaching pictures of said bowls before and after being destroyed*
The best hands down naan I will ever eat. When I tell you their food is so full of complimentary flavors and well seasoned. Everything is top tier, the bowls, burritos, cookie, everything. They load your food up so you get exactly what you’re paying for, or even more than what you’re paying for, just look at how packed mine is. Such a nice kept place as well, clean on the inside of the store and extremely friendly staff that are over the top with their customer service. This IS the place you want your next meal.
Me and my boyfriend came to try it out, we got a naan taco, build your own bowl and the pataka fries and let me just say it is some of the best food we have had and my boyfriend is a picky eater. The service was great, the guy explained what everything was and what it tasted like. Will be coming again!
I really like Indian food and I love the concept of making my own bowl picking the grains, protein, sauces and mix ins. My boyfriend eats a whole huge bowl of Pataka fries in the car before we even leave to bring home to go food. I could eat the Pakora fish and Mango lassi daily if I had this restaurant near me. We also love their bowls...a lot of great quality delicious items packed into our bowl. For me a bowl is 2 meals. I really hope this restaurant starts appearing more places so I can eat there more often.
I was disappointed because they ran out of samosas but because of that I tried the makhani fries with paneer, which was excellent to go with my fish pakora and mango lassi. My server was super cool. I'm enjoying the Punjabi music too. Highly recommend! I think it's a second song by Diljit Dosanj playing.
If I can simply describe what this place is for people who aren't familiar, it's like Indian Chipotle, but they don't skimp on the protein. Chipotle used to be my go-to restaurant for a quick lunch or dinner. Over the years, their portions have gone down while prices have gone up. Very unacceptable. Naan-tastic overloaded the bowl with every ingredient I asked for, something I haven't seen from Chipotle in a long while. I couldn't tell you exactly what I ordered because it was a little overwhelming, but I can for sure say it was delicious. We also received free cups for water at the soda machine. The service was great. The lady behind the counter was patient with us and made the ordering experience easier. I felt like the space had a nice, cozy atmosphere. There was barely anyone in the restaurant. There was some nice-looking décor on the walls. Overall, I loved this place. Although a little expensive at around $16 for the bowl I ordered, I think it was worth it for what I got and how tasty it was. I will definitely be returning in the near future.
Tried naan-tastic for the first time today and tbh it was ok. I think it lacked some flavor. Even though I got it spicy, I didn’t feel much of a kick. I’m not saying that it was bad or you shouldn’t go here either. It’s just something I don’t see myself getting often. Every once in a while sure but nothing I would die to get. I think maybe a spicy rice option might be beneficial. Plenty of seating available, inside looks nice too.
I have been coming to this location since it opened. Food is always delicious and fresh. Service is wonderful and excellent. Portions are great. However, I have it a 4 instead of a 5 due to sauce and protein is becoming light. Sauces are delicious. I always get a bowl. This time we added a side of Makhani fries they were huge and great for sharing. Also tried for the first time the mango lassi!
Staff weee very friendly and inviting. Food was not warm it was actually quite cold once eaten at the tables in-resturant. Cold Indian isn’t as good I think as when warmed also wish non garlic plain butter naan was an option but options were nice. Store was super cold for a cold day outside you expect inside to be warmer it was freezing. Had it been any colder inside I would’ve seen my breath while speaking.
I hate having to leave a negative review for this place, because I've really enjoyed it in the past. But tonight I just had a terrible experience topped off by a phone that doesn't work (so I can't even contact someone to get this fixed). We ordered food for pickup. Specifically, we ordered: paneer makhani combo, thali, samosa, quesadilla, and Punjabi mac. We didn't receive the thali or samosa. The paneer makhani was bizarrely terrible. The texture was strangely gelatinous and watery, and the flavor was... certainly not the makhani sauce we've been getting here for ages. It was bad enough that everything ultimately ended up in the trash, which is a terrible feeling; I really don't like wasting food, but it was so "off" that none of us were really comfortable eating the rest even though we were (still are!) hungry. All of this cost us about $70 with tip, and a 30 minute drive to the restaurant. Of course our first thought was to call back for a refund, but naturally their phone does not work. I wrote up the above and sent it via their contact form on the website, but I am not holding my breath for a response. I am very surprised, and more than that, disappointed. Maybe the Rochester locations are different/better. It's probably beside the point but as a Rochester native, Thali of India has been my favorite Indian restaurant since I was a teenager in the 2000s. I hope that it's just this one location experiencing significant quality control issues, and not the whole family of restaurants. I really don't like being this negative. Usually I only leave positive reviews and keep negative thoughts to myself. But it gets to a point. :(
This spot was a disappointment! The food was weak (sort of lukewarm)…not fresh, lacked flavor but was certainly spicy! With the thali-you receive a lot of rice! I was looking forward to having the naan but you can taste that it wasn’t fresh! The vegan naan was warm and fresh! The place was messy too! Won’t be back!
Sorry but this was VERY disappointing. We wanted to try this eatery for a while since we thought it would be great and it had a few other locations. It was the worst Indian food we have ever had and very bland to flavorless. The sauces were the only thing that added flavor. The rice was overcooked and clumped. Have never seen anyone mess up Basmati rice. The lamb was just steamed and bland-looking. Plus, there was no chai because their chai machine was broken. I am gluten free and they pride themselves on having gluten free options but yet the have NO gluten-free NAAN. Appreciated the ambiance of the modern, cantina-style spin on layout of the food. The monkeys are amusing and the little snippets of motorcycle facts are interesting. It was very overpriced and not worth it. Please go elsewhere for Indian food.
