We were part of a group of 7. Our waiter was fabulous. The food arrived in good time. I had the salmon and asked for asparagus and my husband had the lamb. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I’m a little surprised at the comments from people saying it didn’t feel like a family. Everyone was kind, and friendly. The server did an amazing job answering my questions. I came in for a late lunch and had a mild crisis trying to decide what I wanted that wouldn’t be too heavy that would still allow me to eat a desert and wouldn’t cause me to feel insanely full. The waitress was so friendly and patient with me and I couldn’t have been happier with my choices. I highly recommend the the unsweetened Greek coffee to go with the deserts!

My family and I had an incredibly lovely lunch here today. Beautiful decor, clean, calm lovely energy in the dining room. Lovely waitress, comfortable booths, excellent menu and fresh tasty food. Even the pickiest of diners would be incredibly impressed with the service, ambiance, and cuisine. Today we had the cheese platter, tzatziki dip, lamb burger, salad, and desserts. Each one more tasty and fresh than the next, cannot wait to try the entire menu. Usually not a fan of greek food, but in this case I was impressed!

Love Our Mom Eugenia.... flavorful, clean space. Staff is very friendly. I order the greek salad at least 3x a week through take out... it is so good. Today I decided to come in with my kiddos... love the zucchini fritters, and lemon potatoes. So good.💕💕💕💕

Authenticity meets deliciousness at Our Mom Eugenia in Shirlington. Our group of five sampled a wide selection of cocktails, appetizers, main dishes, and desserts, and every item was expertly prepared. You could taste the chef's passion for quality and see the pride in the staff's service. The prices are a little high but it's worth every penny. Be sure to make a reservation because the place is packed nearly all day; everyone obviously knows about this fantastic new spot in the Village!

First time to this amazing place to eat. Served first was calamari and a Greek salad with extra feta cheese. The calamari was done perfect, absolutely tender along with the eggplant salad dip. Main course consisted of three lamb chops and asparagus along with Dolmades and string beans. And finally dessert consisted of birds nest and earl grey tea. Highly recommended if you like Greek cuisine. Please make a reservation since it is very popular.

After being open only three weeks, this restaurant is impressive. The ambience is clean, cozy, and chic. We sat in the front window on a beautiful sunny day for lunch, enjoyed an extensive, very fresh menu and was very pleased with the price range, portion size, and quality of each dish. Everything was great and then the associates were kind, knowledgeable, and very personable. Special shout out to Kayah who helped us have a lovely lunch experience - she's a true professional. I can't wait to return for dinner and sample the yummy cocktail menu!!! 5 well-deserved stars, OME just raised the bar in Shirlington Village!

A fun, lively but inviting atmosphere for Greek / Mediterranean food. Great dips for pita. Great lamb shank that falls off the bone. Excellent Moussaka Creative fun cocktails. Service is a little ADD but still pleasant and professional.

The restaurant was so gorgeous, the service was exceptional and the food and wine were scrumptious. We were even surprised by some lovely live music. 🍷 We shared 3 spreads and piping hot pita: tzatziki 🥒 , melitzanosalata 🍆 (eggplant, tomato, scallions, garlic, yogurt, olive oil and garlic) & tirokafteri 🌶️ (feta, roasted red peppers, cayenne). The tirokafteri was our faveeee and we literally happy danced when we tasted it. We also shared the spanikopita & kolokithakia which were beer batter zucchini fritters. 🇬🇷 I immediately came home and told my husband we need to frequent this restaurant for happy hour because the rose was scrumptious and the spreads are the perfect girl dinner 😍 the only bummer is that happy hour is served ONLY at the bar.

Food was delicious! We had a lovely meal and the restaurant is super cute. My sister is gluten free and there were plenty of options for her to choose from.

The food and the service were excellent. Our server, Kevin, went above and beyond with our group of eight people. This was the second time our group has eaten here together, and we will definitely be back.

This is my favorite restaurant for so many reasons. Ive been coming here at least once a week for over a year now, and I am never disappointed. The space is light and airy while also comfortable. The bar area allows for a quiet read or great socialization, depending on when you go. Every food dish I have enjoyed has been flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. Our Mom has an amazing cocktail, whiskey, and wine list - easily the best in the neighborhood. They have an extremely reasonable happy hour that showcases food, drinks, and even dessert. Every single person on the staff is friendly and accommodating. Our Mom Eugenia is the epitome of an authentic Greek restaurant that also is a neighborhood haven for new and regular guests.

My friend and I had the most spectacular, succulent, delicious meal here. The food was flawlessly prepared, fresh, bright, flavorful, and immaculately presented in a lush, comfortable setting. The wine list is excellent and the recommendations outstanding. The server was an absolute gentleman and a real pro. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and I will absolutely be back.

I love this place so much. The food is great. The employees are kind And professional. I feel Comfortable going there by myself and take all my visitors. Shout out, especially to Robl, and to Adonis. I was worried when Adonis wasn’t there for a while. So THRILLED to see him back in Shirlington today. Thanks for sending him back. 😘

Crazy food! Reminds me of my aunt’s cooking in the village. The list of Greek wines was a welcome sight. Kind of hard to find nowadays. This is definitely a do not miss. Round it out with a Greek coffee and baklava.

I have been a manager in the restaurant industry as well as a patron for quite some time, and I can say, this place stole the show. I can’t single out anyone person off the team as everyone together made this experience perfect. The moment we walked in there was a live musician laughing and joking with me and my party. The host lovely and kind. Our server (Drew I think) was amazing and helped out with recommending the best items off the menu. The general manager was a treat to talk to. And the bartender making the best old fashion and apple martini on this strip. I have been back 2x since my first visit and that was all within the same week! They really have a gem on their hands! 20/10

This was our first time dining here, and I was so impressed from start to finish. The atmosphere was inviting, and everything felt well taken care of. Our server, Kevin, provided truly exceptional service — he was friendly, attentive, and made us feel completely welcomed throughout the meal. It’s rare to come across someone who genuinely enjoys what they do, and it showed in every interaction. The food was just as amazing — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the kitchen and the overall experience. I’m so glad we decided to try this place, and we’ll definitely be coming back. We just had dinner for the first time here after a recommendation from family who visited the Fairfax location. The experience was very satisfying -- the ambiance, the staff and the food. We started with the 3 sample spreads -- the melitzanosalata (favorite), the tzatziki (2nd favorite) and the fava (3rd favorite). We both thought the melitzanosalata was exceptional. For the main meals, I got the three-meat souvlaki (special) and my wife ordered the greek salad with chicken. Again, both meals were outstanding. As a special, mine was on the pricy side ($38), but it was a very generous portion and the meats were cooked to perfection. It would be hard to return and not order that dish again. My wife also thoroughly enjoyed her salad, which was also well-portioned and will actually provide a second night's dinner. For dessert, the deconstructed baklava (with ice cream), which we shared, was absolutely delicious. Finally, our waitress, Marcela, was very pleasant, attentive, and provided some great recommendations off the menu for first time customers, which we both appreciated. This will likely be our new go-to Greek restaurant in the area and we will absolutely be returning.

Our Mom Eugenia is the type of restaurant you want to visit every week. This Shirlington location’s decor with its hues of blue and hanging rattan lights is relaxing and calming. The host welcomed us graciously. Since I wasn’t very hungry I ordered an appetizer- garides saganaki with ouzo, braised shrimp over orzo. The portion was the size of an entree. My partner had oven roasted boneless half chicken with lemon potatoes. His chicken was moist and juicy - the best chicken dish we’ve seen in a long time. The large booths are more than ample for 4 people. I was pleased to see a spotless restroom which speaks well of a restaurant. Our Mom Eugenia is one of our favorite places.

Terrific food and excellent service. A special thanks to the day manager on Saturday 10/18/25, Joe, who took the time to fit us in with our last minute reservation for 7 plus two babies for dinner on clearly a busy night for them. He called me back to say he was able to get us in for that evening. The place was rockin' with people at every table and the bar packed with patrons. Our server did a great job as did the support staff making sure our dishes were served and cleared in a timely fashion. Worth the trip!

The food was utterly delicious from salads to dessert for our entire table of seven. Our waiter was excellent and able to pair a white wine that was perfect! The general manager helped with our reservation earlier that day and stopped by to make sure all was okay and to congratulate my daughter on her daughter's baptism. Love this place!

Do NOT miss the opportunity to dine at OME (is it OK to use an acronym in a part of the world which everything becomes one…?). In short, outstanding food, service and setting. One of the best Greek restaurants I have ever visited and, trust me, I’ve been to many. The experience began with the host welcoming me and saying, “Good to see you, you must be Mike.” I had a reservation; however, it was a nice, friendly, way to start to lunch. The menu selection is what you want at every Greek restaurant; however, after ordering most of the menu everything is excellent. I am going to butcher the names. So please bear with me. The Tasiki is excellent, very flavorful, as is the spicy Feta spread. The Greek meatballs, stuffed grabe leaves, Spanakopita, fried zucchini, zucchini fritters, olives, and flaming cheese (do NOT miss this) were all delicious. Yes, you can order zucchini in various forms. For entrees, we had the lamb chops, filet mignon and chicken skewers - all served with Greek potatoes. Regarding the potatoes, at some places their afterthoughts, these had texture, seasoning, and a zing from lemon. Dessert, at this point, was a must because we’re not quitters. The Greek donuts with honey were great, just sweet enough. We also had the dessert special which was a custardy dessert on phyllo (I think, a tasty base) base. It had pistachios and whipped cream. It was delicious and reminded us of rice pudding without the rice. When I got the bill my first thought was OME is an incredible value given the service, quality, and extraordinary cuisine. When I was leaving, I shared with the host how amazing his establishment is. He said, “Mike, please come back to see us again, I’m glad you enjoyed lunch.” OME please open a location in Annapolis. MD, ASAP!

we were in shirlington and had heard about the other locations so decided to try it out. overall the food was good and the portion size was big but the service was really bad. we ordered the greek salad, the feta dip, grilled halloumi and eggplant: the feta dip was really good as was the eggplant; the greek salad was decent but better the next day as the flavors were able to marinate. the grilled halloumi was average. complimentary bread was also given (not sure why not pita instead of bread) overall good food and large portions but bad service

Vibe: Very Mediterranean, much Greece. “Nice casual” I pry wouldn’t wear a sweatshirt here but I’d be comfortable in shorts. Really enjoyed the live music. Food: Tasty! Lots of healthy options as needed. Plenty of options to choose from so I will be returning for more. Large variety of cocktails that are a must try. Service: Good, nothing standout but food came fast. Value: Meh, my entree was a bit of a let down for the cost. The apps and spreads seem to be a better bang for your buck.

One of the most authentic Greek experiences in NoVa. Menu is small, high quality, and filled with a variety of meat, seafood and veggie options. We tried a trio of dips (the red one 🤔 was out of this world). We then shared a variety of apps - Grilled Octopus, meatballs, chicken skewers, Greek salad, etc. We ate a ton, but didn't feel bloated afterwards. Our service was a bit slow at the beginning, but really picked up and our waitress was really accommodating & friendly! Couldn't afford to eat here everyday, but it's definitely something you won't regret saving for.

Welcome addition to the Village of Shirlington with a vast menu and friendly (and quick) service! The drinks were delicious, the grilled octopus on the drier side and a bit salty for my taste. I’d give them another try regardless.

Well let's see I've been to the other Mama eugenia's locations and I feel like we are more treated like a family at the other spots. The food was okay a couple of the other family members commented that it wasn't as traditional as some of the other locations. The waitress was great while doing her job but she was also doing too many jobs including bartending and serving other tables, we ordered dessert and it wasn't until about 20 to 30 minutes later that she came around and told us that it was not available but they had other desserts available. It was Easter Sunday so I understand it got busy. Bring from Greek origin and to Greece many times we expected a little more. Maybe? Next time. ?

The service was prompt; the hostess and waitress were very professional and attentive. The food was good, I had a lamb burger with a nice serving of fries. The lamb burger was huge. The Greek salad and calamari were large enough for me and my friend to s ha are and still have leftovers of both items. My friend had the lamb chops with potatoes and green beans; she said her dinner was delicious.

First off, this is a super clean and super cute little restaurant in the heart of Shirlington I eat out way more than most people and while the ratings are high and I give them the benefit of doubt. They can use some improvements. So hopefully time brings them. If your looking a good Greek place this will most likely fill the niche for you. I myself prefer a bit smaller portions with higher quality items. Portion size this place is great especially if you want take out with your meal. The place is very beautiful and has great charm in fact. It is a great date night or family place to try.

've visited the Mosaic location of the restaurant for brunch and was excited to visit the Shirlington location. A very well appointed menu with classic Greek cuisine. It was easy to make a reservation on OpenTable and we were seated immediately upon checking in. Our server was courteous and knowledgeable about the menu and suggested options myself and dinner companion ultimately chose. The branzino entree was super tasty on the outside but not as flavorful on the inside. I did order a shrimp kabob meal to go for my spouse which he said was very good. I am definitely going to visit again to try other entrees as the ambience and intimate feel of the restaurant was inviting. $$ There is a free parking deck and paid street parking near the restaurant.

Fairly quiet during weekend lunch serving Greek-inspired food. We had the grilled halloumi cheese for appetizers. Really good cheese from Cyprus. Had to order a to go order. We had the beef souvlaki, grilled octopus, half grilled chicken, and mixed grill. All tasted fine except the chicken was dry. We also had the milk custard pastry for dessert. It was fine, but I was predisposed to a taste profile for the same dish I had in Cyprus. It was not the same.

Vibes were good, menu was good, I was ready for a great dinner but most of the food was disappointing. 1. I showed the server a photo of the zucchini fritters and asked what it was and if I could order that. He said it was fritters but that the fried zucchini slices were better and told me to order that instead. I did, and it was a soggy few slices of zucchini. I should have gotten the fritters instead because those slices did not hit the spot. Don’t know if I should be mad at myself for taking the red or the server for giving the rec 2. I also asked if the chicken breast or half chicken is better. The server said chicken breast is much more popular so I got it. I don’t get why it is so popular. I took a bite and chewed about 15 times before I could swallow it. I gave the middle part another try and it was the same - I couldn’t eat anymore. That was the driest chicken breast and I can’t believe I paid $28 plus tip for that. I ordered 2 other things and I am just not happy with the entirety of the dinner There’s a lot of places to eat around the little area and this isn’t the place I recommend

I was really disappointed with my experience. The lamb burger for example was very dry and lacked flavor as well as the rest of the food were bad, which was surprising given the high price. Overall, the food quality did not match the cost at all. Unfortunately, I and family members won’t be coming back.
