I've been going to New Boston for 23 years and have never been to Pitt Grill. I finally went yesterday and realized what I've missed. I had the cheesey eggs breakfast. The eggs were so creamy and rich. The biscuits were awesome, one of a kind grill cooked flavor and texture. My husband had a party melt with a fried egg on top, he loved it. I will be stopping in every time I go back to New Boston!

One of the best old school diners left in America! Great friendly service, wonderful home style food and cozy atmosphere ! The best part....smoking and non smoking sections. Loved it !

Food was good. Fries were hot and fresh, sandwich was good and hamburger. Service was good and the environment was welcoming. The place is old and needs repairs on the ceiling and could use some upgrades for sure. I have heard they allow smoking in this restaurant but I did not see anybody smoking. We will come back.

It was very busy on Friday night. We were there around 10 pm. We noticed the cook scolding the waitress, more than once. When we asked the other waitress was the cook new she replied " that's the owner " . Wow, couldn't believe how rude he was to his servers. I understand it must be stressful to be the cook, but you really shouldn't get on to someone where everyone in the restaurant can hear. It was a shame, the servers are so nice.

I didn't even notice this place until the wind shifted and the smell had me turning a circle looking for the source. I was a little skeptical at the greasy spoon look, inside and out, but the staff was friendly with lively chatter and laughter from the gals on the grill and I'm adventurous so what the hell🤷🏼‍♀️... Tried the 2eggs and bacon plate with grits. Eggs were perfect over medium, grits weren't lumpy or thin, but the BACON! 3 massive full slices, thick-cut, salty and so so so satisfying 🥓😌🙌🏼 3 stars just for the bacon

Local diner with very good just like home made hamburgers and fries! Friendly staff. Only drawback is that 1/2 of dining area is smoking and have to walk through it to restrooms.

A lot like Waffle House but with a lot more smoke. Food was good and wait staff was very friendly but the overall cleanliness of the restaurant along with the unavoidable lung cancer gets a 3 star. Everyone but my family had a cigarette in their hand so while the food was good I won’t be going back due to the overwhelming smoke cloud throughout the building.

Got here on a Sunday around 11 am, the service is really good, food/drinks were excellent! The place is old but clean, restrooms no so bueno need some cleaning.. I guess the only problem was the long wait for our food ( party of four adults) we waited 25 minutes for the food and were told they were short one cook and thus the wait..other than that a good experience.

We are from Tennessee and state law says you cannot smoke in restaurants. We were surprised when we sat down and saw people smoking. The ceiling was stained with nicotine, and the ceiling was falling apart. After getting our drinks, our waitress forgot us. While we waited, 2 parties came in and left before ordering. The food was ok. The restaurant was like Waffle House...all the way down to the menus, except that the lamination was falling off. Good music on the jukebox, though, and the prices were very reasonable. If we are ever going through New Boston again, we will roll on by. For some people, this may be the perfect spot, but not for us.

1. I first noticed the waitress was tearing lettuce and was not wearing gloves after just wiping down the counter with a cloth. I am sure there were germs on that not so clean cloth! 2. The counter underneath the cooking area had a somewhat white cloth on it and it was filthy! Laying face down on this dirty cloth were various skillets and cooking pots! Made my stomach quesy and made it very difficult for me to eat my BLT. 3. The ceiling above the stove area was filthy. This place needs a good cleaning. Evidently the owner could care less. I don’t like fast foods that is why I stopped there (I was traveling thru and not first time). I believe more business would come if not so dirty.

It was the worst experience ever. Food was not good, wait staff not good, ordered a $6.50 sandwich my guest sandwich approximately same price. Waitress charged me $25 dollars. I am not sure of her math skills. Paid bill won’t be back ever.
