Noah's Ark Bar & Grill is loved for its stunning bay views, live music, and friendly service, especially from staff like Brooke, Brisa, Sisi, and Owen. The brunch buffet and seafood are popular, though some find the food inconsistent and service slow at times.

Opinions de Noah's Ark Bar & Grill Bacliff
I hadn’t been to Noah’s Ark in years, so I wasn’t sure what to expect—but wow. The food is on a whole different level now. I ordered the grilled shrimp tacos and a half dozen fresh oysters, and everything was fantastic. The oysters were incredibly fresh, and the shrimp tacos were perfectly seasoned and flavorful. The menu feels much more elevated than I remember, and it shows. Definitely worth coming back for!
Ok we only got drinks and fries but $2 beer during happy hour when you're literally feet from the water. Unbelievable!!! And regular prices are only $3! The fries we're great too. Absolutely no complaints. Will be back!
Noah's ark offers delicious seafood options. The grilled oysters and seafood platters are delicious and the portions are generous.
I went to Noah’s Ark and had such a great experience. I started with the chips and queso, which were decent, but the shrimp Alfredo completely blew me away it was rich, flavorful, and honestly one of the best pasta dishes I’ve had in a while. On top of that, the service was just as memorable. Our server, London, went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and made the whole meal feel really enjoyable. It’s not often you find both great food and genuinely caring service in one place, but this visit definitely had both. I’ll definitely be coming back. - I’ve left a review before mentioning how great the service was, and this visit proved it again! The service was excellent as always my server, Kylie, did a fantastic job and made the experience even better. She was so sweet and attentive. I ordered the steak rare, and it was phenomenal. Most places struggle to actually cook a true rare steak, but they nailed it perfectly this time. I’ll always keep coming back here the service is consistently great, and the people are always friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!
We are obsessed with this place, we visit Bacliff 3 weekends a year, and we don't even take the chance to get disappointed in another place, the service here is very good, the food is awesome as well. I really love the Noah's grill oysters, tuna tostadas are awesome, fish plates won't disappointed you either. Cocktails are very good, fresh Mojitos are my favorites.
I go here all the time. I ride my motorcycle from home. It's about 15 mi and then I make a longer trip back home. It's on my regular route for that It's right on Galveston Bay, has a great view. They usually have somebody in house singing so you've got live music. If not they have music speakers out on the patio. I've got to know a lot of the staff here so they take good care of me. Highly recommend this place for atmosphere. Good food, good service
We had the shrimp platter, the Noah's Burger, Shrimp Alfredo, and the Philly cheese steak, and everything was delicious! The shrimp were huge! I love Mac N Cheese and theirs was one of the best I've had anywhere. The cost for the quality was right on point! You also cannot beat the view of the bay.
We came for dinner and we got seated immediately. The service was fast and we get checked on multiple times. Our drinks came out very quickly. All of our food was warm when it came out and nothing was wrong. Our waitress Brisa was very nice and enthusiastic. We had a great dinner and night out here.
We were in this place for the first time, we went downstairs, nice atmosphere, very pleasant and friendly waitress Sisi, I hope I wrote her name correctly, with a cowboy hat, we had a couple of shots, I recommend Vegas Bomb, and we moved upstairs, where there was live music, a very pleasant and likeable young man who sang nicely and since there was a possibility that he would sing your favorite song to you, I showed my husband the song on my phone that I would like, I don't know what he was doing, but it looked like he had hot potatoes in his hand, which he was tossing and turning until he fell out of the restaurant window (we were sitting by the window), the phone got caught on the roof, thanks to the help of the manager Paulina and the helpful waiter Chaz - right?, who went through the window to the roof and brought me the phone back, I really wanted to thank you for this, also to Mr. Jeannie, who helped with the choice of food, I ordered the wrong thing, I apologize for the inconvenience, these people are really very friendly and I recommend everyone to visit this restaurant
Stunning view! Amazing service and positive changes are coming! Tried Noah's Ark for the 2nd time tonight for our anniversary. Had the BEST bar service from Brooke and a lovely conversation about positive changes that have already started with new management. The first thing we noticed was we could comfortably sit in the bar without a cloud of smoke, so if that's kept you away, don't let it anymore! Our first time we experienced dinner and the food was delicious this time was just drinks but either way it's ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from us. We highly recommend for a cocktail, dinner or both and of course a chance to take in the stunning view!
a bit run down. but maybe that’s the point. it’s all about laid back sittin by the bay and having comfort food. the new owners have started supplying oysters. at $0.50 each - get them while they last
UPDATE - I did return. Not out of beers, sat upstairs this time, and the service was ... Well, several of us had to flag down the young lady to get refills, food, etc. But then Owen started serving our area, and he was great!! Would still return. Out of a lot of beers, but great service, excellent view, food was served quickly and tasted good. Will return.
It was delicious. The catfish, shrimp and oysters have a lot of good flavor! The 6 oysters with cheese are so good, the view is great, the service was good, we just waited a little bit for the food, but the taste makes up for the wait, I would definitely come back. Thanks Vivian, she was very kind.
4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½ Great Beach Vibe, Delicious Seafood, and Gorgeous Views Noah’s Ark is such a fun spot on Galveston Bay! The restaurant is huge inside with lots of windows, a downstairs patio, and a full upstairs patio where they host live music on the weekends. The whole place has an eclectic beach bar vibe that feels laid-back but lively at the same time—perfect for a coastal escape. The food was absolutely delicious. My oysters were huge, juicy, and perfectly prepared. The hush puppies were seasoned so well that even I (who usually doesn’t like them) thought they were fantastic. The fries had a unique, lightly battered flavor that made them extra good. My husband’s coconut shrimp had just the right amount of coconut flavor, and the coleslaw was sweet but balanced, not overdone. The coconut sauce was different than usual—it didn’t have pineapple like traditional versions—but it still worked wonderfully with the shrimp. Both the cocktail and tartar sauces tasted homemade and were packed with flavor. The only downside for me was that substitutions weren’t allowed, even if I was willing to pay extra. For example, I would have swapped fries for fried okra since they were listed at the same price on the menu, but the policy wouldn’t allow it. That was frustrating. Also, our waitress was new and it showed a little, but she was kind and tried her best. Overall, the experience was fantastic—the food, views, and vibe more than make up for the small drawbacks. Noah’s Ark is a must-stop if you’re looking for great seafood and a fun atmosphere on the bay. I’d definitely come back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Update: We came back for breakfast and unfortunately it dropped my rating to 4 stars. My husband’s French toast came out with no syrup or powdered sugar, and it took about 10 minutes just to get syrup (they said they had no powdered sugar at all). My English muffin and bacon were good but were served on his plate with his meal, and we had to ask for more bacon to finish his order. The French toast itself was just okay, while the eggs, bacon, and muffin were solid but nothing special. Our waitress was very apologetic and explained there were new people in the kitchen, which showed. Dinner is definitely where Noah’s Ark shines, but breakfast and service still needs some work.
The food isn’t the best. They are the only place in town. Well, then all you can eat buffet breakfast buffet on Sunday mornings. It’s nothing special but it is the only all you can eat any other night it’s average and it takes forever drinks take forever and the last time we went was to celebrate my BFFs 50th birthday And each drink we wanted they did not have as far as the ingredients so that kind of sucked but the people are super super nice. The live music is awesome and if you ever catch music bingo, that’s pretty awesome too. You still have a good time so I would definitely recommend going just don’t expect an out of this world meal or really quick drink, but you can definitely expect a good time. Oh and the second floor is adults only no kids allowed and they are pet friendly but the other is the super nice thing if you’re someone that’s like me that has no children and my best friend who is all children are grown you kinda don’t wanna be bothered with kids running around screaming making a noise. The second level is your spot.
The food was horrible. Pier 6 owns this place now so we thought it would be good. I don’t really do bad reviews. But! Unwashed oysters, slow service, 90% bread crab cakes, Fake smoke taste on grilled chicken. The drinks were decent… If you have a cat allergy don’t even attempt. There are about 50 cats on the deck out front destroying the patio furniture.
We visited on a Thursday evening and were looking forward to the prime rib special which menu shows includes prime rib, vegetables, and mashed potatoes. It is stated on the restaurant menu, and on their website, and on Facebook for Thursday nights. However, when we ordered we were told they no longer offer it. At least, update your online info. It has been replaced by a 6 oz sirloin and baked potato. No salad, no vegetables, no bread - very small meal. Steak was OK. We also ate raw oysters which were good. And had an appetizer of jalapeno hush puppies - good but a very small quantity. Don't come here with a big appetite. Service was very slow and I had to make several trips to the bar to get drinks and the check. We waited a long time to pay. We sat upstairs which has a very nice view of Galveston Bay. However, most people smoked - it is open air but the smell of smoke hangs in the air. It could be an enjoyable place but they need to update their menu and hire help - 1 young man was left to handle all of the 2nd floor - bar and tables. Too many better places in the area wuth good food and service - we won't be returning.
The upstairs is a bar, and the downstairs is a restaurant that you can take your family. If you sit outside there’s a lot of cats that like to roam around. We ordered several things but the only one that we liked was the Noah’s Burger. It was delicious! Everyone was nice and friendly, but they told us that they had sent all the staff home early and we were left unattended for most of our time. I do not blame our waitresses she was very nice and she was running around trying to take care of everyone all by herself. The problem was that we were sitting outside and we were left in the cold just waiting to pay so we could go home.
I don’t even recognize Noah’s Ark Restaurant anymore. This place used to be awesome. It wasn’t fancy. It wasn’t polished. It was a little rough around the edges, a little chaotic, and that was the charm. It felt like home. The regular characters — the ones we all jokingly called the “Tweakers” — were half the experience. It was a humble, slightly messed-up seafood spot with personality, and that’s exactly why people loved it. Now? It’s been “cleaned up” and stripped of everything that made it special. It feels sterile. Corporate. Boring. All the soul is gone. And the service tonight was a disaster. I brought my family, including two young kids, and we waited over an hour just to get our food. Not drinks. Not appetizers. Our actual meals. With kids. There was barely any communication, no sense of urgency, nothing. Just sitting there watching the clock while frustration built. What made it even worse was watching the manager stand around doing absolutely nothing while the staff was clearly overwhelmed. No helping run food. No checking on tables. No stepping in to fix the mess. Just standing there while families waited and tables got more irritated by the minute. And after all that waiting? The shrimp was old and overcooked — rubbery, dry, and honestly embarrassing for a seafood place. If you’re going to take an hour to bring out food, at least make sure it’s edible. It’s beyond disappointing to see what this place has become. The old version may not have been perfect, but it had heart. Now it’s been scrubbed clean of its personality and replaced with slow service and subpar food. I don’t recommend eating here anymore. What used to feel like home now just feels stupid.
We went as a group to have breakfast here the other day. They had a breakfast buffet which is what we all ordered. A couple of us also has the endless bloody Mary bar. The food was pretty good and service was decent. Everything was going good until one of the guys in our group walked back in to the buffet. This was when the new manager, a tall skinny guy approached the gentleman in our group and told him he had to remove his pocket knife (which was sheathed and attached to his belt loop) or get off the premises immediately. The man from our group pulled his T-shirt over the pocket knife so that it wasn't visible to others. The manager said no that's not good enough you have to get the knife off and take it out of here or you must leave immediately, you cannot have weapons on the property. Mind you this was just a pocket knife which many in our group had in their pockets it was not taken out or waved around it was just a pocket knife. We ask for the bill immediately and left. As we were trying to pay the server, the manager was standing there giving us dirty looks hovering over our table making sure we were leaving. This is ridiculous as many in our group have been dining at Noah's for years. We will not ever go back! I'm wondering if they were treating us like that because many in our group were motorcyclists and we all arrived on motorcycles.
Where to begin... my husband and I came on a Thursday evening. We arrived around 6:30PM. We are from out of town and we're looking for some good seafood. A photo of a menu from someone else showed them having an AYCE shrimp after 3PM. So we decided to come try it out. Welp, they changed there menu since (photo in Google was 3 months ago). They have a Thursday happy hour special which is prime rib special for 14.99 so decided to try that instead. Our server said they were waiting on it to be ready since about 7 other tables were waiting on it too... we said if we could be added to the list too, we started off with half dozen oysters (only thing we liked) because ordering the Prime Rib was a big mistake.. I guess they rushed to bring it out because HALF of it was RAW.. I mean RAW-RAW... Sliced off the cow and plated RAW. We ate about half it..SMH.. service was terrible too! Our server never came to check on us. I had to go inside to ask for hot sauce and salt for the oysters. No drink refill... We were the forgotten table. I don't like leaving bad reviews but in this case, I had to.
