This is a small local take-out restaurant run by a local family & has been around a very long time. Despite it's drawbacks of no delivery & no credit cards and minimal seating, I highly recommend the food here & their lunch specials are big enough that two can eat for the price of one. While everything on the menu is excellent & very affordably priced, the must orders are crab rangoons, fried dumplings, pork fried rice & sweet and sour chicken.

Ordered late around 9:00 because google said closed at 9:30, however they were still happy to serve us and provided delicious food. Have been a customer for a while, but they’re truly the go to place in the area

Food is always ready in under 15 minutes, piping hot and good. Typical Chinese menu but it's clean and the food is prepared well. The owner always reminds you on the phone to pay in cash.

This Chinese restaurant has been in Baldwinsville as long as I can remember and I am now 32 years old. It was always a favorite of mine and I recently came home to visit. The woman who ran it when I was younger is still there at the counter, looking the same as she did 10 years ago. I wish people would understand that her and her family have been pinnacles of this community for decades. I want to thank them for providing good Chinese food all this time, even though I'm sure it's especially difficult for them to do it now. The pandemic, asian hate, and rising prices have all affected asian restaurants and I just want to say to the woman who runs China King, thank you. It was very nostalgic for me to come back and get food again at your establishment and I thank you.

CHINA KING IS KING! 👑🥢🍜 Don't sleep on the NEW and IMPROVED CHINA KING! The restaurant kept it's name, but little else of the old China King remains. The food is so fresh and delicious. It is easily the best Chinese food in Baldwinsville by a mile! They take credit cards now and are even open until 10 pm. We've visited twice since the reopening ordering soups, dumplings, and lo mein. Seriously, you don't know what you're missing! This is what Baldwinsville has been waiting for!!! 👏

7/28/25-UPDATE-So new owners, new management. I loved the old owners, food was always good. Let me just say Wendy and the new team are awesome. After a shaky first try where the nice kid upfront made a mistake on my order, everything has been 5 star. Let's start with the eggrolls, both roast pork and Shrimp were as good as I have had in Chinatown NYC. My favorite dish,shrimp and broccoli is so delicious and comes with plenty of perfectly cooked, succulent jumbo shrimp. Everyone in my family loved everything we have tried. Plus they take credit cards now! Good luck Wendy and the new crew. You guys will see me often! Eddie Best chinese takeout in the area. I am from Long Island, where some of the best Chinese/american restaurants are, and I put this take away spot, right up there with them. Owner is super nice as well.

I saw that this restaurant was under new management and figured I'd give it a shot, and now it's on the what's for dinner rotation list . Honestly, don't sleep on this place. The food was hot and delicious, and the management is amazing. I haven't had a bad experience or a bad dish ever. They really treat their customers like family. It is a small family owned business, and they deserve the town's support. This restaurant has been in the rotation for the days no one wants to cook at home. I am not saying this restaurant is gluten-free, but my family member who does have a gluten allergy hasn't had an issue with the boneless spare ribs, and we are excited about that. Again, amazing food and customer service!

I was surprised when I called on the phone, it was the usual lady who was always a little impatient, however, today is was a very kind sounding lady that threw me off guard but in a good way! She was very sweet and clear on the phone, and when I went to pick up she asked me if I needed any sauces or utensils instead of just having them in a big bowl. The place also looked cleaned up and a lot more pleasant it was such a shock im the best of ways. Interacting with who I assume is the boss, the sweet lady on the phone, was extremely pleasant, I'm afraid she might think I was weird because it kept throwing me off! Anyways, the food tasted the best it has in recent memory for me, maybe it was the pleasant experience and all in my head but the food was crispier, the chicken while not spicy as I'd like(my fault I should have asked for extra to being with) it wasn't grossly sweet. The egg rolls where just perfection, crispy outside and the inside tasted different from before, better, frsher tasting and the lo mein wasn't as greasy. SO happy for the new owner, I will be buying regular from here now.

I had a fantastic first experience at China King in Baldwinsville, now under new management. I ordered the General Tso’s chicken, vegetable lo mein, and fried dumplings—everything was absolutely delicious! The food was fresh, flavorful, and not greasy at all, which I really appreciated. The flavors were spot on, the portions generous, and the pork fried rice was one of the best I’ve had. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the restaurant itself was impressively clean and well-kept. It’s clear the new management is doing a great job. I’ll definitely be back!

I had a small problem with a delivery order through no fault of China King. When I called and spoke with the manager she was more than accomodating, going above and beyond to fix the mistake and make sure I was not inconvenienced. I can not say enough great things about her and this restaurant. We have never had a bad experience here and the food is always excellent.

Went for the first time under the new management and it was even better than before (which I didn’t think was possible). Love the new signs outside giving it a more modern feel, as well as the ease of ordering online. Will be going back any time I’m in the area. Will recommend the fried rice instead of white - gives a hibachi rice vibe!

I honestly believe the recent review by JH is a bogus review. If you click on his bio button (face) you will see 75 out of his 82 reviews are a one star review. He went as far as leaving a one star review for Long Branch Park, which is a nice and well maintained park. He seems to just post things out of anger and may have never even visited China King in Baldwinsville. As for his comment about "getting food poisoning", I would imagine the new owners could take legal action against him if their business suffers because of his blatant lies. Maybe he gets paid to write lies about places. The new owners are a nice family dedicated to providing Baldwinsville with the best possibly Chinese food. Don't take my word for it, go try it yourself. You'll see.

Basically a take out place. Under new management. Don't know what the old one was like except by reputation, which was terrible. New owners are friendly and courteous. Food is excellent 👌. My new go to for Chinese food. 6/10- Just picked up a really basic shrimp chow mein combo. Loads of shrimp. So tasty I ate everything! 2/27/26 - Very disappointed in my order today. Tried some things that were different from my usual orders. Got the House Special Chow Mie Fun - thin rice noodles. What I got was simply angel hair pasta! NOT the rice noodles. I may have to look for another Chinese restaurant in or near me in Baldwinsville.

Second time ordering under new management and the counter person very nice, snd the food was good. The shrimp and veggies with hot garlic sauce wad very good; the shrimp were big and cooked perfectly. My family's meals were very good as well. We will continue to only order Chinese food from China King!

I have been ordering from them since they opened like 20 yrs ago. The portions have gotten a lot smaller for their dinner for 4 and the price has gone up more than double what it was when they first opened. It just cost me 46.00 for the dinner for 4 and a order of dumplings. Their charging you 50 cents extra for every container they use. So my order was like 10.00 more than i paid a yr ago because of their extra fees they dont tell you about until you show up and see the sign.. that makes it hard when you dont bring extra cash and they dont take c-cards. Luckily we had extra cash on us. This meal use to cost us less than 30.. the lo main and sweet&sour chicken was half the size they use to give

We’ve ordered several times from here with not much complaint, but this time it took 50 minutes to deliver our food (we live less than a mile away and they charge $6.99 to deliver, which is ridiculous). Not only that, but they didn’t include fortune cookies, napkins or utensils. Food always tastes pretty decent but definitely won’t be ordering delivery from them again.

I was short about $.15 so I politely asked to have one of my egg rolls taken off my order. The clerk peaked at my wallet (which was in my hand and had my rent money) and she replied “you have $20 in you wallet! You can afford it!!!” WTF business is it of hers that I have money in my wallet or not?!? She doesn’t know what it’s for and it’s none of her business what it’s for!!! These morons give me a gross soggy version of chop suey when I ordered chicken chow mein. Everything I ordered was either stale (crab Rangoon, egg noodles, and fortune cookies), or old. Meat in boiled dumplings was raw. What a horrible dining experience. Tried to call twice and would t pick up the phone. I will NEVER order from this hole ever again.

I bought general TSO chicken combo meal and a chicken and broccoli the general TSOs was nasty had like a weird sauce on it the lomain wich I had to pay and extra 5$ each meal taste sweet and mushy and the chicken and broccoli had some thick sauce on it and again the lomain I payed extra for was disgusting would not feed it to a pig that's how nasty it was only gave them a chance because the place I normally go is closed to day highly dissatisfied

They scammed me of $10. On the phone they said that the total was $50 even, and I asked $50? and they said yes. I walk in and they demand $60 and explain how it’s an extra amount per fried rice, even though they clearly stated a different amount. Then she just walks away and takes a phone call. Absolutely rude and poor customer service. I will never again order from this restaurant.

So i am from Rhode island and i call this place asking for a half chicken, honey shrimp,and chiken finguers. And i understand it was my foult for not reading the manu before calling but this lady was so rude ,she treated me like i am dumb so i tell her if i am messing up can you just tell me what kind of combinations you got with chiken and i ended up ordering the three combinations with chiken wings. Then i call back because my husband and his friend decided that we cancel and go out to eat so i call back and i am like sorry i am calling because we decided we will go out to eat and the lady said ok i was not making it. Like with this attetude and then while i was trying to thank her ,she just hung up wile i was still talking ... no ethic, no respect,no curtesy,no customer service, i love chineese food but after this i am glad i didnt eat there because all of that bad energy on my food God knows what he does.

The woman working was extremely rude off the bat. Didn’t greet us when we walked in and ignored us while she was doing something else. Finally asked to take the order and I ordered a small chicken and rice and she said they can only do large (even though small is an option on the menu). So whatever, I order the large and go to pay but they only take cash, yet have no atm. She told me to go across the street and use that one. I left and will not return. Went to eat somewhere else.

Read the good reviews thought we try for Christmas. The food was not ready when we got there waited 20mins. Pork lo mein terrible no pork just noodles and a bunch of soy sauce. Ordered fried rice nothing in it just rice . Egg rolls no pork just cabbage. Never go there again not good.
