Ed's Diner - Selfridges

The food was fantastic, each of us had a different burger and side and everything still came out promptly. (Faster than I was expecting) The milkshakes are a reason alone to come here. We were served by Blaise. She was friendly and patient, providing excellent/top quality service. We'd all be happy come again!

We were served by James and he was amazing! He was very attentive and happy to meet any requests, offers to check on our food after only a short time being sat down to ensure we got it fast, and checked in on us throughout our visit. Such a lovely waiter, we will be back! Thank you for making it such a great visit, James :)

Had a hankering for chicken wings so stopped by and ordered some with the Inferno sauce. I was served by Lucy who was warm, friendly and honest. She forewarned me that the Inferno wings were made with Carolina reaper chillis and even brought over a taster pot with a few chips to test the heat. Hottest wings I've ever had but they verge on the edge of good flavour/intense heat. Any hotter and it just becomes a bravery contest. Very satisfied customer!

We popped in for lunch and it was delicious! Thank you, Lucy 😊 The portions were generous too, so we were well satisfied.

Our sever Chris was amazing he was attentive, kind, and very welcoming. Food was fresh and hot the second it came maybe the best burger I’ve had in a long time

When we entered we were greeted by a staff member welcoming us in she got us a table and then gave us 2 menus. We had a look at the food and decided what we wanted in came within about 5minutes and was still hot we then ate the food and it was really tasty and delicious and a man working there kept checking up on us to see if we were okay (another welcoming gesture really appreciated) we then asked for the bill and he quickly got it to us and it had a note which said “Thankyou for coming from Filip” it was really nice to see how kind the staff were and it’s a very good place to come. I 100% recommend!!

fab food and great service! food was quick to come out even though they said it was a wait for food. Lorna was lovely and a very helpful waitress who gave service with a smile and helped us have a good meal. thank you, we’ll come again

Took my two Children here this morning, they loved it. Plus the staff are so friendly and efficient, it really makes the visit perfect when they are so well mannered and smiling. Comfy seats, yummy food and drinks, great prices. Couldn't ask for more, thank you Eds easy Diner staff!

Ed’s Diner at Selfridges really delivered. The food was proper comfort food, cooked well and served hot. The hot dog was honestly the best I’ve ever had — a soft bun, great-quality sausage, and absolutely loaded with toppings. The bacon, onions, and sauces worked perfectly together without overpowering anything. Portions were generous, the fries were crispy and well seasoned, and everything tasted fresh rather than rushed. On top of that, the service was friendly, quick, and welcoming, which always makes a big difference. Overall, a great experience — classic diner food done right. Definitely somewhere I’d happily go back.

We are so blessed to have Filip. He is very friendly and a bright person. We enjoyed chatting with him as we share same sentiments in life. He is hardworking and shows good customer service. Very easy to approach! xx

We had a delightful lunch at Ed's Diner. Food was outstanding, tasty and fresh. However, what really made our visit special was the Team Member who took care of us. Their name was Lucy and they were the very best that any hungry customer could hope to have look after them. We will be back for the food but most of all to see Lucy again 🤩

Went here with my partner for lunch and we loved it! Servers were very nice - we had Lucy and Fil. They were very attentive and refilled our drinks immediately, fastest that’s ever happened to me! The food was lovely and you could tell it was fresh. Atmosphere was nice with some good music playing and a nice place to relax. Would go again ☺️

Fabulous brunch at the diner , served by Filip who was wonderful , chatted to us about the diner and asked if we had been before , he really cared about customers , smily, happy - … 🤗

Turned up at the end of the lunch rush at 1:30pm got put on a ten minute wait list , got a text when a table was ready. Service was fast considering the amount of tables. Our server James was attentive and friendly.

Delicious food! Catered well for my gluten allergy. Wonderful service, especially from Kat. Would highly recommend🤩

Great food, great service. Very swift service and attentive staff. Chris did a great job getting my order right as I'm quite fussy and normally have requests like "no sauce, plain" but he got it bang on. Checked back after the food had come but we had nothing bad to say. Only downside i would say is that there is a lot of people walking past as you eat due to its location and the menu was located right near our booth so felt like people were watching you eat. But for lovely food it's spot on. Cheers Chris.

Great little diner chain!! Love the 50s decor really adds personality and atmosphere Staff were all pleasant and very kind Food was amazing, tasty and big portions aswel as reasonable prices. Comfortable seating like a set from the film grease.. Awesome!! Incredible breakfast at Ed’s. The service was some of the best we’ve ever had. They made a small mistake on our order and more than made up for it with lots of extras. Our server was Fil and he was great!

Our host was Chris, very hospitable and welcoming. He came over to make sure we were well taken care of throughout - such a lovely and genuine guy. My husband and I have come here a few times and they never disappoint. Can’t wait to visit again!

Had such a great time at Ed’s Diner! The place has such a fun vibe — great music, bright decor, and a really chill atmosphere. The staff were super friendly especially Kat and made us feel welcome right away. Food was delicious — cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Everything came out fast and hot, even though the diner was pretty busy. Overall, just a really fun and tasty experience. Great food, great service, and good vibes all around. Definitely coming back soon!

Lucy was brilliant, really nice, patient and served us with a smile at all times. Lucy realised we had our 11 week old girl with us and found us a table with lots of space to accommodate the pram. Service was efficient and quick which is exactly what we needed. Food came piping hot, was fresh and tasted amazing. Overall really happy and will come again. We were served today by Lucy, and I can honestly say the service was brilliant. As someone who has an allergy and intolerances, it can be extremely daunting going to public places and asking having to ask lots of questions and you can feel like an awkward customer. However, Lucy and I believe a lady who may have been a manager (whose name I didn’t catch) were so kind and made the whole experience so comfortable and calm! Definitely recommend x

Lucy was the friendliest server I’ve come across in a long time. The food was very nice, not greasy and great value for money. Glad we popped in instead of grabbing a coffee to walk around with!

It was fairly quiet considering it was lunch hour. Roughly about 9 tables occupied. Slow on greeting and to be seated. Staff was very accommodating as I had a big pram. The staff member sat us down where it was relatively quiet and less footfall to ensure no one walks into the pram etc which I thought was very kind and considerate. Thank you. Food was served relatively quickly and it was filling. The milkshake was really nice and creamy. Nice place to have a quick bite to eat.

Food really good. Mac and cheese is the best Mac and cheese ever. James served us and he was brilliant. Really friendly and helpful. 10/10 service :)

Chris and Filip were very personable and easy to talk to. Chris specifically remembered me for a couple days prior.

I had high hopes for this place given it was housed in the famous Selfridges. The service was great but unfortunately the food was disappointing. I ordered a hot dog which completely fell apart when I tried to pick it up, the 2 pieces of the bun weren't even attached at the bottom and the whole thing was covered in so much sauce that it was dripping everywhere. I'm pretty sure you're supposed to eat a hot dog with your hands but I had to admit defeat and eat it with a knife and fork. The sausage was edible but nothing special, certainly not worth the prices being charged. The same goes for the burger you see in the pictures. The fries, waffle fries and onion rings were absolutely glistening with grease, they were so oily. The vintage Anerican diner decore is a cute novelty, but the food was very poor. I won't be going back and suggest others try somewhere else, there are plenty of restaurants in the area.

Worst chicken wings I have ever ordered. As a main - 6 wings for £6.99 ordered with a side of seasoned fries. All of the wings were mid wings not whole wings. Buffalo flavour was nice but extremely stingy in portion size. Probably equated to 4 mouthfuls of chicken in total. Skin was soggy. Wouldn’t recommend.
