Dined here for my Anniversary on Friday and everything was perfect from start to finish. The greeting was warm and friendly, Our server was polite and very knowledgable too. The wine we chose was recommended from our meal choices and paired superbly! The meal was incredible as it always is, Some of the highest quality dishes I've had in Birmingham. A massive thankyou to Rich and his team for turning our night into a truly memorable event,
This is a great restaurant to visit if you are looking for something a little bit special. The food is beautifully presented and the service is very good. However we were initially informed that we had to order both our starter and main at the same time, instead of waiting to see how hungry we were after our first course 😀. It's a little bit more expensive than some restaurants, but it takes into account the spectacular views over the city and the sophisticated atmosphere. The only negative was that to access the toilets, you have to go down stairs although there is a lift. ( a minor inconvenience). Overall, a fabulous place to visit once in a blue moon.
The food, atmosphere and service was second to none. Was one of the most aesthetically pleasing bars I have ever been to! but the thing that really sets it apart is the service. A massive Thank you to Charlie on the cocktails but really the biggest shoutout goes to Mihaela, because of her we have recommended this place to everyone and will definitely be back every time we visit Birmingham.
This wasn’t my first time here , but i can see the improvement in the quality of the food and customer service. The receptionist Min, greeted us with a warm smile and made sure that we get the table that we wanted, the pulled beef and the stake was top notch. Definitely recommended.
We had a lovely meal on the 24th floor! The views were incredible, and the service and decor were excellent—my son enjoyed the atmosphere very much. The portions were great for an adult, too. While the fish was a little on the salty side, the desserts were a total win. The Crème Brûlée was a standout; I loved that the sugar top was fired just long enough to create a dark, crackly, and slightly smoky caramel crust. We’ll definitely be back for the view and the sweets!
I had the pleasure of attending 24 Stories as part of a corporate celebration for top leaders in the UK, and it was absolutely stunning! The atmosphere is gorgeous, perfect for photos and content for socials. The food was incredible. I’m gluten-free, and they had thoughtful options just for me, plus alcohol-free wine, which is such a lovely touch, you don’t always see that. The service was friendly and professional, making the evening seamless and enjoyable. As someone who runs a business online helping busy women make money from home, it was amazing to celebrate in person with with the team and just celebrate our successes. I can’t recommend 24 Stories enough for any special event, it’s a beautiful space with impeccable attention to detail and the perfect place to celebrate.
We spent an evening at 24 Stories (formerly Orelles) for the other half's birthday and had a wonderful time at this venue. As it was a birthday celebration we wanted to go somewhere 'special' and 24 Stories didn't disappoint. Wifey walked out of the lift (as the restaurant is on the 24th floor, hence the name) and was greeted by Min (our lovely host) with a fabulous bouquet of flowers and a wide smile! Min then proceeded to take us to our table which was situated in the main restaurant by the window with fantastic views of the Birmingham skyline. The sight actually got better as it got darker as the lights from the buildings start to illuminate the night! After being seated, we got menus and ordered cocktails before selecting our starters of pulled beef chin croquettes and prawns. For the main course we had pork cutlet and half a lobster. All of which were served nice and hot and in a professional and courteous manner. The service we received on the night was truly outstanding and we had a great time! Wine wise, as it was a celebration, we ordered some bubbly which was served perfectly chilled and tasted great! The 24 Stories team also arranged a small birthday treat for the wife at the end of the meal. All of which made the occasion that little more special! Finally to end the night off, Min arranged for us to have seats in the bar area at the front of the restaurant where we just chilled after the meal over more drinks again looking out onto the City centre night scene. All in all, we had a wonderful time at 24 Stories and we want to thank all of the staff there who took care of us. Special 'shout out' to Min for going over and beyond for us. We really appreciated it!
Tried this beautiful restaurant for brunch to celebrate my birthday….. absolutely gorgeous. Service was amazing…. A special Thank you to Marco & Lawrence . Food was so tasty, bubbles kept flowing and we had a table with a great view of our city even on a misty day. A wonderful way to celebrate a special occasion! One of the best places in Birmingham for an elegant bottomless brunch
Came here for drinks on a Saturday night. We hadn’t booked, so we spent some time in the downstairs bar — a cozy, charming spot where we enjoyed two delicious festive cocktails. I ordered the French martini, which was incredible. After about a 30-minute wait, a table opened up on the 24th-floor bar and restaurant. We were seated right by the window with a stunning view of the city. The staff were wonderful from start to finish — from the friendly host in the lobby who kept us updated, to the attentive team upstairs. I’ll definitely be returning. It’s an absolutely breathtaking place, perfect for a girls’ night or a date night.
We had a wonderful dinner experience. Min was an excellent hostess - warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. She went above and beyond by helping us translate the menu, which made ordering easy and enjoyable. Thanks to Min’s kindness and professionalism, our evening was smooth and memorable. Highly recommended!!
A great spot with beautiful rooftop views. Bar service was professional and attentive, with well-made drinks. Special thanks to the friendly hostess Min, who delivered excellent customer service by checking in on us throughout the night and ensuring everything ran smoothly. A truly professional and outstanding hostess!
Amazing fine dining experience at Orelle! The views from the 24th floor are gorgeous. We came for bottomless brunch, and the food was excellent quality, the portions generous, and the service was superb. While the experience is a bit of an investment, it felt very sophisticated, was a perfect setting for brunch and totally worth it.
Went to 24 Stories in Birmingham and honestly, it was class. Had a banging roast dinner – proper comforting, cooked spot on, and full of flavour. Finished it off with a sticky toffee pudding that was unreal, easily one of the best I’ve had. Even the mocktail was splendid, which doesn’t always happen. Great food, great vibes, would 100% go back. Special thanks to Min for looking after us
This is a beautiful restaurant, situated on the 24th floor of heaven. Food is top teir, service impeccable, atmosphere second to none. Great for dates and anniversaries. I mentioned that we were celebrating 🍾 a wedding anniversary and a complimentary treat was served with our deserts. Amazing place and would highly recommend and so much better than Londres x
I travel a lot and eat in restaurants all the time. This is my second visit to 24 Stories and it’s didn’t disappoint. We were celebrating two 60th birthdays so I asked for a window table. Not only did we get the beautiful table with fantastic view, we were treated to a glass of champagne each and canapés. Not expected but made a lovely start to our celebration. Food and service were fantastic, I train and manage customer service and I can honestly say I couldn’t find anything that needed improvement. The atmosphere was relaxed yet professional, many thanks and compliments to the team.
Beautiful location especially at night, servers were attentive and nice, especially Tiago. Prices are inevitably more expensive than other places but due to location and quality I would say worth it and fair value. Immense drinks selection too (Recommend reserving table if you want to have a formal sit down meal too as opposed to only drinks.
Breathtaking views, delicious, well seasoned food, beautifully presented and I had a glass of white wine, it was perfect. I would definitely recommend to my friends and family and will be returning again in the future. Loved it 😋💕
Orelle was an interesting experience. The food was nice and presented in an artistic way but I did feel like it was abit pricey for what it was. I felt like I paid more for the experience of being here. The waiters were nice and very knowledgeable about the food menu and drinks options. The menu has both vegetarian and meat options. The place itself was quite pretty and the service was good. It felt like a more of a romantic setting with lots of couples. However, there were some other ladies having their girls time together like myself. My friend previously celebrated her graduation here with family and she really enjoyed her experience. Hence why she wanted to come back with me. So I would recommend Orelle for celebrations.
What a beautiful place with the best views of the city! Really enjoyed sipping a cocktail watching out the windows. Michela was our waitress for the majority of the evening and she was fantastic, it was such a pleasant, quiet evening. Food was presented beautifully and the portion sizes were just right and was faultless.
I dined with the graduation set menu, which had a complimentary glass of prosecco. The set 3 course menu selection was small but had a good variety of options for a very reasonable price. The staff were excellent, warm and welcoming. It is a short elevator travel up to the 24th floor, which is a very open space, airy and has large windows which provides a very atmospheric and calming environment with beautiful views of Birmingham. The food was delicious, with elegant presentation and well balanced flavours. The mushroom tart was delicious and the best mushroom starter I've had, the main course I had was the chicken, which was on the drier side but had a lovely thin gravy and creamy mash which balanced the dish very well. The creme brulee was also absolutely delicious, creamy and a perfectly caramelized and crisp sugar top. It was a very worthwhile experience and I definitely will be returning.
My partner brought me here for birthday drinks and it was honestly breathtaking. The view of Birmingham was really good, and the bar is very simple as to not distract from the view. The drinks were amazing and very unique not your regular set of cocktails. They were presented beautifully and tasted great. When we were here there was a live violinist. Overall the experience was very high end and I enjoyed coming here. Would recommend and would return.
Friday night date. Food and service was excellent. The atmosphere was perfect for a Friday with the restaurant almost full and the DJ providing perfect music for the evening. We had a full three courses and choose the steak to share. Prices are not cheap but value for money when all things considered. Will return in the future for a special occasion.
Had an incredible birthday lunch at Orelle today. The atmosphere was extremely relaxed and the views over Birmingham were fantastic. We opted for the fixed price menu which was extremely reasonable for the quality of food over the 3 courses. Would definitely go again!!!
Lovely bar. Great food and service. Super view over Birmingham. Ideal for corporate event too, especially when being entertained by Russell Watson!
Management were incredibly accommodating—nothing was too much trouble for me and my husband. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a memorable experience with beautiful food and drink.
Took a trip here last week and just had the most wonderful time. My friend and I were served by Kleida and Richard who gave us the most amazing experience and service.
Orelle: A Culinary Journey with a View Orelle is simply breathtaking. The 24th-floor location offers panoramic views of Birmingham, setting the stage for a truly unforgettable dining experience. The tasting menu is a masterpiece, each course a delightful surprise. The accompanying wine flight perfectly complements the dishes, elevating the flavors to new heights. The service is impeccable, with knowledgeable and attentive staff who go above and beyond to ensure a memorable meal. The value for money is exceptional, considering the quality of the food, wine, and service. The extensive wine selection and creative cocktails add to the overall experience. If you're looking for a truly special dining experience in Birmingham, Orelle is the place to go.
Such a wonderful event space, carefully curated interiors & a great atmosphere. The staff are attentive and warm, making this a really hot place to visit this year.
Brilliant overall. A little scary if you're not good with heights (as I'm not) but you get used to it very quickly and the staff were really friendly. Top notch service all round!! Cocktails were delicious. Decor lovely. Will definitely go again. I went with a mate, but would imagine it makes a great date. Would also love to go on Bonfire Night!
Stunning location and super food, could be much improved with more attention to detail with the service, noted that others comment on this too. Several occasions unable to get the attention of staff members huddled chatting, which was a shame. Loved everything but must add that the cheese prices are a little ambitious for the portions received. Maybe a stricter controlled door policy to prevent "kids" coming in for a look around, this tarnished the aspired exclusivity.
Del.Villaggio Italian Restaurant exceeded our expectations with its delicious food and generous portions! Every dish was bursting with flavor, making for a truly satisfying experience. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly, ensuring that we felt right at home. A special shoutout to Sandro, who is an absolute gem! His warm hospitality made us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout our visit. I can't wait to return for another delightful meal! Thank you! 🤗
A sublime Sunday lunch above the city. We visited 24 Stories for Sunday lunch and were genuinely impressed by both the setting and the standard. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, the cuisine beautifully composed — every dish delivering depth of flavour and presentation worthy of the view. Our waitress, Barsa, was outstanding: attentive, gracious, and instinctively professional. Her warmth and precision turned a fine meal into a memorable afternoon. 24 Stories remains one of Birmingham’s finest dining experiences — a perfect blend of culinary artistry, skyline beauty, and genuine hospitality. — Anthony J. Definitely a place for a Special meal. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. It's expensive, but you know that before you go. That's not a criticism. Stunning views over the city in a dimly lit environment makes for an intimate dining experience. The service is very attentive without being too much so. The background music is just a little too loud and could interfere with your conversation. It's Fine Dining in a relaxed atmosphere that's welcoming and not stuffy.
Beautiful decor, 24 stories above Birmingham, amazing views. Food was delicious and definitely worth it on the celebration menu. Unfortunately we wasn't given our complimentary glass of Chandon. (I forgot about it as well) Would like to return at another time as we went late on a Saturday night and was a little bit too noisy. There was a DJ and I guess perfect if your out for Saturday night drinks.
Really good experience! Beautiful view, good food and super nice service from our waitress Juhee. Overall, a great evening and closure to our visit in Birmingham!
In general you go there for views... we visited on Sunday and menu is very limited on this day. It was still ok but for the price you'd expect maybe a bit more. Staff nice and friendly but took a bit for drinks to arrive and place wasn't crowded.
Went for the Sunday lunch. The starters were lovely, the mains were ok. I opted for the pork because I suspect all of their other meats are haallal, based on reading what others have written here. Staff were friendly and helpful. As there were just two of us, we were seated right by the window, and the views were quite nice, seeing the city from high up. The bar downstairs looked nice but we just passed through quickly on the way in and out.
Great atmosphere, views of the city in a relaxed and sophisticated setting with lovely food and drinks. The food was excellent, but I wouldn't say for the place and style the food was elevated to give it 5 stars. I'm not saying it was nice, as the quality, taster presentation was all excellent. Just struggle to give it 5 stars as was expecting more. The ambience, setting and atmosphere was all excellent. Service was spot on. Can't fault it. Had a wonderful evening. The restaurant is on the 24th floor with panoramic views of the city. We would definitely return to try out seasonal variations on the menu as it's certainly a place to some and soak up the drinks and atmosphere.
This is the second time I have visited this restaurant, last time it was Orelle. We were greeted at reception by Rosie who was extremely helpful and manged to find us a better seat by the window as we were celebrating my son's birthday. The views were stunning and the interior of the restaurant is gorgeous. We found all the staff to be helpful and attentive, Leo served us our drinks and he was very pleasant as was Anyia who served our food. The food was great; we had the tuna and terrine for starters followed by the T-bone sharer with half lobster and sides. The steak was good, cooked as we had requested and very tasty. For dessert we had a chocolate mousse which was excellent and a cheeseboard which was mediocre. The staff then brought a plate with truffles and macarons for my son's birthday which was a lovely gesture and they were delicious. The only thing which was absolutely terrible was the music, it felt like we were in a nightclub and unfortunately we were unable to have a proper conversation. The music really did not sit well with the feel of the restaurant and felt very much like they were trying to entice and cater for the young Friday and Saturday night revellers. We were sat directly beside a speaker so it really did spoil our experience in what is an otherwise beautiful restaurant. I may visit again but certainly not on an evening at the weekend which is a shame.
Overall, the evening felt like a night of two halves. We were a large group (12+ people), and unfortunately the experience fell flat due to several service issues. The location and restaurant itself are fantastic and definitely worth visiting, and once the food arrived it was genuinely very good. However, the problems began at the start of the evening. Our entire group was asked for ID on arrival, which felt unnecessary and uncomfortable — particularly as no other tables appeared to be checked in the same way. A wine order was taken, but no other drinks were offered or ordered for those who weren’t drinking wine. The most frustrating part was that our pre-ordered food began arriving before we had received any drinks. We waited around 30 minutes from sitting down before our first drinks arrived, which significantly impacted the start of the meal. Once service got going, both food and drinks were delivered quickly and the quality was very good. However, towards the end of the meal we were informed that the next booking was at 8:15pm and that the table would be needed. This was completely understood and not an issue, as we were on track to leave by that time. Despite this, we were reminded again — before 8:15 — which made the group feel rushed and unwelcome while we were finishing drinks and conversation. While some members of staff were excellent, others came across as quite rude, which is disappointing and not what is expected from a venue like 24 Stories.
This used to be one of my favourite restaurants - my wife and I have been here a few times before and always enjoyed the food. They used to do a fixed price lunch menu with pairing wine for a reasonable price but then they stopped doing the pairing wine, because it wasn’t profitable enough (fair enough) and now they no longer offer a fixed price menu. Today we went there (3 of us) for Sunday lunch and it’s gone downhill. Not only do they no longer offer the fixed price menu, but the quality is not the same - it’s gone from Michelin star standard to average (not bad but no longer a wow) and it feels like they are cutting costs, but still charging the same prices. My starter was prawns and they were undercooked (just about edible), although to be fair my wife had the chicken croquette and it was very tasty and presented well. The Sunday roast was very disappointing. My wife’s food was cold, the skin on the roast potatoes was hard, the “sirloin steak” was a few slices of beef (but cooked fine), the Yorkshire pudding wasn’t great, and the gravy was tasteless. The vegetables were nice but luke warm. I had cream brûlée for dessert which I’ve had before - it was very tasty but not presented as it was previously- before it was decorated with fruit, flowers etc - now it just has a biscuit and hard ice cream on top - see photo below of what it used to look like (first photo) and what it’s like now (second photo). We only had a carafe of wine but the bill for 3 people was £234!! Also they added on £1 for “charity” which is a bit cheeky! Whilst some of the food was very nice, it wasn’t worth the money and we won’t be going back.
Customer service was poor and cold. A couple of the waiters were really nice however the receptionist and manager came across really cold and rude. Only one of the 3 starters tasted good and I’d reorder and just one of our 2 mains were good. The lobster dish was so bad overall and chewy. I was really looking forward to enjoying this place as the venue was great and fancy for a special event but the food and service (except waiters) was disappointing. Would like to see something change.
Unfortunately, our experience at Orelle was quite underwhelming. The place seems to lack a clear identity — is it trying to be a fine dining restaurant or a nightclub? While the panoramic view is fantastic, as expected from a high-rise venue, the rest didn’t live up to the setting. The staff were attentive, and the alcoholic drinks range was excellent. However, the food quality was poor for the price. The steak was overcooked and had to be redone, and the sea bass was also dry and overdone. There were also basic lapses in attention to detail. For example, the pink allergy sticker used to notify staff about dietary needs was still visible when our food was served. It should have been discreetly removed before reaching the table — guests don’t need to see that. The biggest letdown came at the end, when the ambience suddenly shifted and the venue turned into a loud nightclub — not at all what you’d expect from a fine dining experience. Overall, it felt confused and inconsistent. We won’t be coming back.
My friend and I visited 24 Stories today and overall found the venue lovely with a great atmosphere. We arrived dressed smartly and were welcomed by the door security who were incredibly polite, professional and warm – they set a really positive first impression. The bartenders downstairs were also fantastic, friendly and fun, and we genuinely enjoyed spending time at the bar whilst waiting. However, the experience was unfortunately let down by the woman managing the seating and greeting guests. We asked to be placed on the waiting list to go up to the top floor and were more than happy to wait the hour we were quoted, even staying downstairs to purchase drinks in the meantime. After an hour, I politely checked in to ask if there was any update, purely so we could decide whether to order another round or not. Her response was dismissive and came across as unnecessarily rude again. Later, as we finished our drinks, we went to find the toilet. We were under the impression it was on the 23rd floor, as my friend had previously gone upstairs earlier in the evening. Instead, we were abruptly followed and spoken to in a sharp tone of “erm did I say you—” before I explained we simply needed to use the bathroom. She then pointed out the disabled toilet downstairs, which was absolutely fine we just hadn’t been informed it was there. Being followed and spoken to in that manner felt uncomfortable and unwarranted, especially as we had been respectful, patient, and clearly there to enjoy the venue and spend money. The contrast between her attitude and the kindness of the rest of the team was stark tbh It’s a beautiful place with great staff overall, but the tone set by the front-of-house hostess significantly affected our experience, so we left despite wanting to be there and spend more money and time there throughout the night, which is a shame because first impressions matter.
