On my short trip to RI, we ended up at Bar Lino twice! We loved our experience, and our waitress Emily truly made our visits special. ESPRESSO MARTINI MONDAYs… you can’t go wrong! Half priced! Loved the Sea Salt Caramel with coconut rim. The calamari is delicious! The gnocchi and braised beef (over risotto, special request) is phenomenal. My favorite dish is the margarita pizza special with burrata, prosciutto, and arugula. Make this a regular item! I feel like the prices are reasonable, and portions were generous. Can’t wait to come back. Thanks again, Emily!!

Nice new spot in Johnston where Brewed Awakening was. The first time we went was for cocktails. My friends had a couple of salads, thst were tasty. The basil Gimlet was an amazing cocktail, as well as the spicy marg! Decided to go back for dinner, and they didnt disappoint. The mussell's appetizer and risotto balls were delicious, and a must try. They also have amazing bread. Sunday Gravy and Carbonara were very good. The service was great both times. Our waiters were attentive, prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Or waiter split the meals we shared for us and we didnt even ask. They had live music on a Thursday and said DJ plays on Fridays. It's definitely a place to check out. Plenty of parking.

First time trying Bar Lino, went for Lunch with my 2 sisters, Krista our server was fabulous, very knowledgeable, compassionate, very attentive and such a wonderful personality. Tb food was fabulous, had the lunch special, Tuscan stew soup, very good size bowl with Crostini 👍😊delicious, 1/2 sandwich Porchehtta pannini, aslo delicious and a connoli for dessert. Place is very nice hear vibes. Highly recommend 👌

Delicious authentic Italian food. Good luck deciding what to order! The burrata is some of the best I’ve ever had - you can taste the freshness of the ingredients, especially in those tomatoes - and the pizza *slow clap*. We got the Sicilian style Pepperoni MVP and were warned it had “a little kick”… my goodness, it made my lips go numb, but it’s soooo good! Pepperoni, Jalepenos and hot honey. Would def go back!

One of my fav spots in RI for gluten-free eats! They had a whole gluten-free menu and are very considerate of allergies. We had Emily M as our server who was wonderful! Will definitely be back!

Incredible gf options!!! I have celiac. Awesome rolls and I got the gf chicken parm with vodka sauce and it was amazing! Our server, Emily M, was great. Can’t wait to come back next time i visit RI

The service was great. I think everyone on the floor stopped by our table at least once. The drinks were delicious, and the calamari was fried perfectly. I wouldn't recommend the lemon cheesecake. Way too much zest!

Convenient location right off the highway, very nice looking inside, amazing/attentive service from our server (he was even offering to get us more water after we paid & were hanging out talking), food amazing & authentic tasting. The gnocchi was homemade and served in a very hot skillet. You can get pasta as a side option in addition to the usual fries/salad sides (any shape pasta & any sauce!) which I loved. We got three of the pizza flavors & all were delicious & cooked perfectly! Also has a parking lot! We live close so this is very exciting. We’ll be back many many times!

Great “appy hour” experience! Recently, my friend and I visited Bar’Lino for the first time because of their weeknight appetizer special and everything we ordered was great - the meatballs, calamari and arancini balls were all tasty and very filling for two but the real star of the show was the cocktail we both got, the watermelon fresca! That drink was so light and refreshing, but so delicious! One of the best cocktails I’ve had in awhile.

Good prices, good food, good service, and good atmosphere! I had a very good 1st time experience and would return! They bring bread and olive oil salt & pepper & 🌶️ to your table, ice water. Place was clean, positive energy vibes throughout. I had the macaroni and meatball special. It comes with 1 homemade meatball, 1/2 sausage link, a slice of eggplant, served with cheese and a fresh basil leaf. They forgot the Narragansett Ricotta but I reminded them because I really wanted to try it and lemme tell you it was delicious and I’m so glad I asked for it. This meal came with a salad 🥗 which was fresh and refreshing, with a homemade vinaigrette, and a scoop of vanilla bean gelato at the end which was yummy-est! Looking forward to trying brunch or something else off the lunch menu on my next visit.

Got the short rib plate with balsamic and polenta and my wife got a pasta plate with pink sauce with added crispy chicken. My meal was 10/10 hers was also very good, but the chicken seemed like to was previously cooked. We also had some drinks which were fantastic, and the cannolis are a must. Service was very good but not very attentive. Would come again, and would highly recommend.

I hate to write a bad review about a local business, but I have to be honest about my disappointment with my Barlino experience. I have been wanting to try it for awhile and was really excited when it opened, being a Johnston resident and a lover of their sister restaurant Massimo, but it just did not stack up. To start off, we ordered take-out and there is an option for "curbside service", great. It asks for the vehicle make and model as usual and I was grateful for this as my mom, who's a bit older, was going to pick up the order. She texted me after sitting in the parking lot for awhile that no one was exiting the building and that she would just go inside. Again, not a huge deal. She said once inside it was moderately busy, but not crazy and when asked about the curbside service, she was told they don't do that. She said there were plenty of people working in there and no one offered to even hold the door for her, leaving with a huge order that was difficult for her to carry. When we opened up our order there was a box inside that we didn't know what it was... we then realized it must have been someone's leftovers that had been boxed up and left in the kitchen - it was a few random pieces of pizza, one with a bite taken out of it. So, to start off with all of this, I think it gave us a sour taste. The food wasn't bad... the pizza was the best part... we got the pepperoni and the pink sausage pizza. The meatballs were just okay, flavor was alright, but they were cold. We also got wings, which were just okay. Maybe they were just having an off night, but I would not be in a rush to go back unfortunately.

We tried to make a 6:00 reservation. They told us we could not be seated until 6:30. We said that's fine. We showed up at 6:25 and were told we have to wait. We waited until 6:45 and then left. If you can't keep a reservation the DON"T take it. The young girls at the front desk looked clueless. I watched a table of 4 walk in and be seated right away. We will never go back and I recommend no one does. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. I hope they close

2/20/26 -went to Bar Linos this evening for dinner. Had a reservation for 6:30pm. Met by our waitress.. Myself and a friend ordered our meal. When my meal arrived it appeared uncooked. I brought the food to my mouth and it had an unusual smell. When I placed it in my mouth it had a tainted, spoiled taste. I called over the waitress to explain my concern and she grabbed the food back never apologized, never called over a manager and just brought back another piece. I was unable to eat it for fear this piece too was spoiled/bad. At the end of the meal when she brought the check, she replied ”you weren't complaining, at all, I tried a piece of your chicken and it had a funny taste and was bad” This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. This was my first time and will definitely be my last.
