Tuna Sushi

I’m updating my review because this place has steadily become my favorite restaurant. My favorite foods certainly are tuna and sushi, and with taste, quality, price, service, and convenience in mind, this place is the best of the best! The restaurant is on the smaller side and the staff are accommodating and friendly.

We dined in and got take out too. Great both ways!

I found this gem of a sushi restaurant a couple months ago. Great sushi! Great service! I've only ordered for pick-up but when I do pick up the Atmosphere is great inside! I literally feel like I get the same style/quality rolls for take out, as if I was at Banbu sushi in grossmont! But I'm spending $30 instead of $80 lol. Thanks Tuna Sushi!

I have wanted to visit since I saw their huge that at a party. Now, last things first. Dessert, Oreo tempura. I confess I could not resist. Yum yum. Service heart. When I asked for a spicier wassabi. They brought me a special unseen before (by me) Wassabi. Service: great, the chef even came out and talked to us. It's a hole in the wall a block from the Lemon Grove's lemon and the trolley. I'm definitely going back to try some of their "new" rolls.

Great food !! I'll be honest, it is delicious, and know how to make rice this comment coming from asian household. I mean the place is not owned by asian so surprisely very good. Even the sushi, especially the sushi and the teriyaki beef. They understand the msg process 😆 lol. For ramen , it is good, but just a little bit more flavor will be perfect tonkatsu . I'm talking about the soup, but the pork belly is perfect. Staff are very nice and ambiance not bad. Overall!! Still hidden gem and 5 stars rating.

The staff is nice; the prices are good and the food is as well. Make sure to check out the specials going on. The only reason for 4 stars instead of five was because I felt that a couple rolls were a little bland, but not too bad-- nothing some sauce can't fix. Update: I got some rolls recently, and they were really good with a lot of flavor. It seems that they keep on getting better.

Stopped in here to try a new place and was impressed. Fresh fish, generous portions, and great service are what make them shine. It may be small but they have some great specials and are more than just sushi.

In town for a conference looking to eat some West Coast sushi rather than the middle-country counterparts where I live that are subpar at best. This place did not disappoint. The spicy tuna was perfect. The service was even better than the food. I ordered online and had a hard time finding the restaurant to pick up my order. It was 10 minutes to closing and the server stood outside in the cold to help guide me there. Thanks! Wish I had more than $7 to tip you! I'll eat here again next time I'm in SD. No pic to go with this review - after 6 years without California sushi you don't stop for Instagram. ;)

Went here with my sister on a Sunday. It was a pretty slow day so we got what we ordered in no time ! Service was fast and the staff was really nice. Definitely coming back again for more :)) !

Love this place! Clean, good food and great customer service. I just wished they had a bigger parking spot. It's a hassel when you just want to grab and go. Otherwise very recommended

We placed are order through Grubhub but their system glitched and our order got cancelled an hour and a half later. I called and asked what happened. I was told they got overwhelmed with orders after the glitch and needed to cancel and they were about to close. BUT Claudia was kind enough to take our order AND drive it to us herself. On top of it all the food was delicious. Thank you so much Claudia. Merry Christmas to you!

The food is fresh n taste awesome! the owners are great and really care about serving supreme quality food. They’re fast and pay attention to the little things such as condiments, paperware, and customer service. I’ll keep coming back for more...

However, I was pleasantly surprised by the deliciousness of the food! It’s important to note that I’m not an expert on authentic sushi and fried rice, but I’ve had my fair share of experiences. This place truly exceeded my expectations. The customer service was excellent, and the atmosphere was pleasant, although it didn’t quite align with my personal taste. In conclusion, I’ll definitely be returning for more of their fried rice and spicy tuna!

First time here I played it safe, ordering some standard rolls which were very good. Next visit I decided to order the BAD ASS roll from the special menu for dine in only. A bit on the pricey side, and took some time to prepare but well worth it, and it was HUGE. Their hours are a bit odd, closing for a couple of hours in the middle of the day. The staff set up a little misting fan aimed right at me-so thoughtful on a hot day! On my third visit, I had the Japanese chicken nuggets which were very good but could have used a bit more dipping sauce, and the spicy tuna roll which was not spicy at all. But every meal comes with ginger and wasabi, so that helped spice it up a bit.

Great food. No complaints so far. We love this place! Can do a party of 12 comfortably. Which I checked for. Friendly people. Attentive. Gotta give this place a try.

I live close to this sushi place and it is the best sushi place I love to eat at with reasonable prices and great customer service really nice people, especially Claudia at the register she is really a nice person who really recommends what to eat if your indecisive and knows her stuff of what’s on the menu and my mom and I have been regulars since it opened. This is definitely a hidden gem in LG for sure. Since, my mom doesn’t like seaweed in her sushi they can switch it out for rice paper which is awesome for all people who don’t like seaweed taste and even if it’s extra it’s extremely worth it for a couple cents more my mom loves that option that many other places won’t do.

Very good food. Love the flavor of the food we ordered bowls which were simple but delicious and sushi which was also good. The food portions were good and filling. I would order there again with one note that the shrimps were over cooked and hard to eat in all the dishes that had shrimp otherwise this would have been a 5 star review.

Good veggie udon, maybe the best in town. We're not from the area, so finding this place was a bit challenging after sunset. But we had a great time once we found this place. Staff are extra friendly and knowledgable. RECOMMEND: stuffed mussels, wontons, miso ramen, and veggie udon.

Food might be good but I'll never know. I do food delivery and I love trying new food in new places. Atlas I'm disappointed that this place sees us drivers as something less than. I was trying to read the specials menu but was asked to go outside to wait almost immediately. It was a little crowded for CoVid so I understood. But when I re-entered after a few of the people stepped out and 10 min later. I asked about the order and tried again to look at the menu. This time I was asked to take a picture and step out. I was planning on supporting this business and ordering dinner but I guess they're to good to serve someone like me. So no 🍣 for me. Kinda disappointed. Hoping it wasn't a racial issue.

Terrible. Food is not great, always smells bad and the food takes to long to get. Never comeback again

I ordered: • The Bomb Roll (Mediocre at best) • Sushi Burrito (More like sushi egg roll) • Cucumber Salad (Just terrible) Spent: $34 Experience: Never again, this place gets a 👎👎 for flavor, quantity, and price. Should've had Top Ramen. Sheeesh!
