Opinions de Finback Brooklyn Brooklyn
It looks like a more spacious version of the Glendale location of the brewery. It's also much easier to get here than the one in Queens. I love the Finback IPAs. Now that it's open indoors I must say I like this place even more.
Brewery has expansive beer and mezcal offerings. Massive space with high tops, regular tables, and even quieter section on the side for privacy. High ceilings with strong air conditioning for the hot NYC summers. Love the non standard bar food - juicy pork dumplings, spicy cucumbers, and crab Rangoon are filling for two to share.
They make great beers and gin! The selection of beer is really varied and well rounded (not just 18 slightly different IPAs). The service was top notch! Everyone was chill and knowledgeable. Max helped us and he was great! Will definitely be coming back.
Great event space! My company recently hosted an event at Finback and I can't speak highly enough of the service. I was able to tour the space several times before the event, all the terms were extremely fair, and the service during the event was amazing. Plus, the drinks and food are phenomenal!
Our group (BKForge: Brooklyn for Reproductive and Gender Equity) recently held an event at Finback's Brooklyn location. Because we are an all-volunteer organization, we did not rent dedicated space — but Finback still set aside an alcove just for us, gave us lots of support both before and during the event, and overall made us feel very welcome. Coordinating ahead of time was very smooth, and all our questions were answered right away. Attendees at our event also remarked on how much they enjoyed coming to this spot. We definitely plan to come back in the future!
We come to Finback quite often. Have brought out of town friends and family, meet w local buddies, and sometimes go just us. Their selection definitely skews IPA, but they have excellent sours & bottles, too. A couple of friends have tried their cocktails which have also been excellent. We've gotten to-go beer several times, and they have a good snacky menu for a couple afternoon drinks (but not a full dinner, personally). It's a must-go!
Great beer! The hot fires and beef dumplings are amazing!
Phenomenal little brewery, their imperial stout is like drinking spiked candy. They also do a great gin, I was lucky enough to talk to the distiller about it. I shall be back next time I'm in Brooklyn.
We hosted a party at Finback in the mezzanine and I'd highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great venue to celebrate any occasion. We had about 45 people and it was perfect -- we ordered the food from Dumpling Up (delicious, a must!) which was a hit. Niko who was our point person in the lead up was amazing, always super responsive and accommodating to make it a great night. Greg and Max on the night of ensured we had everything we needed and were so friendly and fun. Good vibes, good food, good drinks -- can't say enough good things :)
Finback BK is the best! We have returned here many times over the years, something I don't typically do at your typical boring NYC bar. They make their own delicious gins & beers, but the DUMPLINGS and Chinese food are one of their biggest draws for me. The dumplings are legitimately the best that I have had in NYC. They are big, juicy and authentic. I recently hosted my fiancé's 31st birthday in a private area of the bar. I highly recommend hosting your event here! A unique thing you can get for your guests is the DUMPLING UP packages - for $25/pp, you can get an unlimited delicious buffet of juicy pork/shrimp dumplings, mushroom/peashoot dumplings, fried chicken wings, and French fries. My friends all raved about the pork dumplings. The bartender Max is amazing & helped us so much!!!
We hosted 12 events here over the span of just a few weeks so we're qualified to say that it's the perfect event space in every way! Great upstairs private space and an open floor plan on the ground with great energy that allowed us to host different groups on the same night. And we served beer and amazing dumplings (made by the owner's mom who just kept them coming fresh out of the kitchen...). What's better? The staff was super accommodating in every way (shout out especially to Niko and Joe who made it all super easy and fun!). Our new home away from home... Thanks, Finback! See you again soon...
My favorite brewery in the neighborhood. Great selection of beers but the guavamente cocktail and salt and pepper wings are some of the tastiest things you will ever come across.
Only a small fraction of the beer is made at this location, but, I have to say, I think Finback makes some of the best beer in town. Also, this Gowanus location the service is quick and good and they always recommend a new IPA to me that is crazy tasty based on my preference. Also, they make their own gin, which I’ve yet to try so I can’t vouch for it. I appreciate Three’s Brewery down the street, but in my opinion this is definitely a level up.
We needed to come to Brooklyn to handle my wife’s mother passing after days of running around , we neede a change from the chaos. Greg the bar tender was an excellent host and the combinations of ipa’s was great. You couldn’t get a better atmosphere
We rented The Lounge in the main taproom for my wife’s 50th b-day. Such a fun evening! Obviously delicious beers and food, but the staff was amazingly attentive to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. They really took care of us. Highly recommend Finback for a private event (and otherwise just to hang out and drink some delicious beers).
The best beers on tap in Brooklyn. They also have a full bar with wine and cocktails. I came here a few times before and recently hosted a party. The staff is amazing. They helped me host my event without any issues. I highly recommend to check out Finback Brooklyn. I’ll be back for sure.
Had a great time here this past weekend. I tried the Mezcal Margarita, which did not disappoint. Awesome beer selection and a few interesting wines. Greg the bartender is so friendly and hospitable! They have a nice little upstairs area if you have a group that you’d like to get together. I wish they had more vegetarian food options, but other than that - worth a go!
We hosted our company happy hour at Finback and everything was perfect! Great coordination with Niko and his team before / on the day, amazing food (the wings!) and price was very reasonable. Highly recommend.
This is one of the top breweries that I have been to in Brooklyn. Great looking place with a good, friendly vibe. Beers were of a superior quality served by a knowledgeable and caring staff. What really surprised me about this place was the food. What they have is a small snack menu with dumplings, fries, wings and a few other things. We had their dumplings and wings. Had both dumplings they were serving that day, one a round vegetarian and the other a shrimp and mushroom. I can’t believe that I am saying this but they were some of the best I have ever had. They were large, hot, well filled with fresh Chinese vegetables, spiced and served with a nicely prepared sauce. I don’t know where their chef comes from but my hat is off to him or her. Wings were also unique and crispy. Came in for a beer and found a new premiere food joint!!
This place is the best. I love that they have both beer and cocktails. The gin is exceptional, the space is beautiful, and the staff are always super friendly. One of my all time favorite spots in my area!
An absolute gem. Cool atmosphere, warm staff, excellent drinks. I ended up hosting a weekly meetup there for a couple of months and the staff couldn’t have been more nicer and accommodating. Finback for the win!
Hands down my favourite beers in Brooklyn. Especially the fat mango IPA. They do stouts also very well, particularly the blueberry barrel aged one. On the weekend they have some lovely food options and great fries. I also kinda really like their glasses :)
EXCEPTIONAL. The only brewery I’ve ever been to that I liked, or loved, every single thing I tried. Everything was done well. The space was beautiful. After reading the ingredient list on their Magenta Halftone spirit we had to try it, and then we had to take a bottle home! I wish I knew the name of the gal who helped us in the checker jacket so I could give her a shoutout. The service was on point! My hat goes off to the people running this joint.
Fantastic Brewery. The beers are up there with the best, the staff are lovely and the location is super convenient. I personally enjoyed a range of their IPAs… just wish I had more time to do the whole menu. Strongly recommend to anyone in the area
食物好吃! 2024/March edit Food is amazing as always, and the staffs are super friendly and makes you relax at the moment you step into the space. Really appreciate to have a place like this in the neighborhood, thank you! Recommend chicken slaw for all the Asian stomachs, we order it every time when they serve foods (Thursday to Sunday)
Nice tap room. Taps are seasonal with more variety available in 500mL bottles. I was surprised to find they have cocktails. It seems their own gin line? Outside food is permitted Monday- Wednesday. Thursday- Sunday there is a dumpling+ stand on site. Pics look good and I hope to be back to try them.
What an awesome spot! Epic layout with several different seating areas. Tasty food menu with spicy snacks like wings, crab rangoons and cucumber salad. Great beer selection and a few non alcoholic options. Kid friendly which is really nice and contributes to the neighborhood feel.
Fun food, beer and grat atmosphere..
The Among the Bandits ipa is very tasty. I’ve been here a few times and have always enjoyed their brews. I ate here once and ordered the cucumber salad, crab rangoons, and dumplings. Everything was tasty. In general space and atmosphere is very chill. Sometimes I think it can get a bit loud when it’s crowded
Absolutely love this place! Possibly my favorite in the neighborhood. The space is great, the staff are always friendly, the drinks are fantastic, and the food options are a lot of fun. It's an easy neighborhood place and my default for going out. There's plenty of room and options for lots of people. The only thing that could be better is the noise - when there are a lot of people there, the hard floors and high ceilings make it very loud.
Wonderful selection of beers and spirits, especially the varieties of gin. Enjoyed the South African gin and tonic and the Spring Spritz (I think those were the names of the cocktails). They also serve delicious small bites made on the premises during certain times of the week. Highly recommend the pork/ shrimp dumplings, hot fries, and chicken slaw- like salad
Great brewery. The customer service was amazing. Well knowledgeable about all the beers and anything on the menu. I tried the mezcal "lagrimas de Dolores" which was awesome. I highly recommend you to try the cocktail called midnight sun! You will not be disappointed! Each one of the drinks we had were on point!. Check them out.
We hosted the welcome event for our wedding at finback two weeks ago and had the best time! We rented the upstairs mezzanine area. All of our guests loved the wide selection of drinks and thought the space was really cool. While the food Finback serves is delicious, we wanted a classic NY flair for our out of town guests, so brought in pizza for dinner! Nico, Max and Greg, the three managers we worked with throughout our planning process, were all super great and easy to work with! They let us be very flexible with the space and even let us have a henna station going during the party. They definitely helped set the right tone for the rest of our wedding weekend. Highly recommend them for any event!
Finback was the perfect venue for our Welcome Dinner and Drinks for about ~100 of our family and friends the night before our wedding. From our very first inquiry, Niko was incredibly responsive, always available to answer questions and help us work through every detail of the event. We started the night with pizza from a vendor recommended by Finback, and later switched to the in-house catering from Dumpling Up. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food—there wasn’t a bite left, and the dumplings were a huge hit! We also curated a selection of Finback beers, wines, non-alcoholic options, and canned cocktails for guests up on the mezzanine. The Finback events crew made sure we had plenty of drinks for everyone throughout the night, and the variety was a big hit—there was truly something for everyone. On the day-of, Niko and his team went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, allowing us to simply enjoy the night with our guests. The space, service, and atmosphere couldn’t have been better. They even printed out custom menus so guests knew exactly which beverages were available for our party! We highly recommend Finback Brewery for any event—fantastic experience from start to finish.
The best brewery in Brooklyn in terms of beer quality. They also make great cocktails and are doing some really interesting things with ciders and beers with wine grapes. Friendly staff and a great space. We LOVE Finback! They also have a fantastic mezzanine level private room that can be rented - we rented it for our daughter's 1st birthday and our guests kept remarking how great the space was and how great the drinks were. Definitely recommend Finback for any of your private events! Niko, their Events Manager, was super communicative and easy to work with. Would definitely plan another party at Finback and in the meantime, will be a regular patron!
Just hosted an event for ±40 professional colleagues at Finback, and everyone enjoyed it. Our group felt welcomed and at home -- the only regret I heard was that all 20 beers on-tap could not be enjoyed at a single occasion. Many enjoyed a refreshing summery cocktail, and we had an all-around celebratory evening. The interior is simple and spacious, and mercifully, well-air conditioned, as it was brutally hot outside. Finback staff is diligent, thoughtful and cheerful, and I always find that those attitudes flow from he top down. A solid spot - we'll be back.
"Outpost" is a bit of an understatement in this case. The new Brooklyn location is about the same size as their original taproom in Queens. And more importantly, it has a very similar chill vibe to it. Tucked away on a fairly quiet side street, but at the same time close to a lot of other good food and drink options in the neighborhood. Plenty of beers for both on-site and off-site consumption. Pretty large outdoor seating area (most of it with a roof) for beers during covid restrictions.
I planned a birthday party at Finback for this past weekend and had a terrific experience. The event planner, Niko, was very responsive throughout the planning process. The Lounge space is great, the food and drinks delicious, and everyone day of was so helpful and hospitable. The manager Greg made sure we were welcome taken care of and checked in regularly throughout the party. Would highly recommend!
Highly recommend for all your needs: hang out with friends, afternoon happy hour, or even 50+ person party. I threw a huge birthday party here for my husband and the staff was super accommodating, friendly and attentive. They have tons of unique beers, but also wine and cocktails—makes everyone happy. Not to mention, the food is VERY good! I could eat the dumplings every day.
The espresso martini is absolutely delicious! Also enjoyed the guavamente. They have lots of beer options and one non-alcoholic beer option as well. Gin seems to be the main liquor here. Seats outside and upstairs too. The bar staff are nice.
We recently had our baby shower at Finback and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish! The venue itself is spacious, chill, warm and inviting. Our event was upstairs in the mezzanine and fit 50 guests comfortably with plenty of extra space for the kids to run around in. The staff were exceptional – Niko was so personable and easy to get in touch with whenever we had any questions. He was prompt with answering our emails, the professionalism made the planning process stress-free and enjoyable. Greg, Dan, Kim and the crew were attentive, friendly, and incredibly accommodating. They ensured that everything ran smoothly, let us in 2 hours before event time to allow us to set up, the beers and cocktails were amazing, mocktails were superb, and the food from Dumpling Up were *chef's kiss, we had to order more the day of because it was such a huge hit! Finback was equipped with everything we needed. They had the serving trays, sternos, plates, and utensils all ready for some extra food we brought in. The wine barrels and table arrangements were set up perfectly and can easily be rearranged if needed. Finback exceeded our expectations and helped make the baby shower a memorable and joyful occasion. Everyone had a great time. I highly recommend Finback to anyone looking for an event space. Thank you to the team at Finback for making our celebration so special!
Finback is a magical place. We love their beers AND cocktails. We recently went to a gin tasting (Halftone is their partner gin company!) and our host was so nice and patient with us. They have outdoor seating, a huge indoor space with great decor and tall ceilings for added ventilation, and lastly, THE BEST DUMPLINGS!
I hosted a party at Finback and can't say enough good things about the space, the staff, and the beer! It was about 70 people, and we were able to have the mezzanine to ourselves, with tables and chairs and room for mingling. The staff made it super easy and even helped me out by setting out water, setting up a microphone, and providing serving utensils for our food. All the guests said the drinks and space were fantastic. Special thanks to Daniel at Finback for making it easy and fun to host there!
For a mid-winter Saturday afternoon, this place was hopping! No pun intended :-) Lots of space, live DJ, lots of people - even families - made this feel like a great choice for my friends & I. I actually had to leave early and brought an assortment of 8 lagers & IPAs home, and am on my first now. I’m enjoying the OOH DIPA “Life Span” beer… really smooth and great head on it. Just a great beer. Recommend. Anyway — we landed here after a Brooklyn Pizza Tour of our own creation (DiFara (A+) and L&B (B+)), then… beer of course.
A good brewery with a lot of variety - stouts, sours, lagers, IPA’s. They do have cocktails as well which sometimes slows down the line and makes it take longer than you’d expect to get a drink. The beers, though, are generally quite good and there’s something for everyone on the menu. The food isnt bad either!
We went there yesterday and will go again today. Really good prices, chill atmosphere and most important of all good beer. 100% recommended
This was my favourite brewery visit on my recent trip to New York. The bartender (22nd Sept) was so friendly and helpful, and the place has a great vibe. The 'Eye of Jupiter' that I had was my favourite beer of the whole trip!
Really good vibes for a chill weekend in Brooklyn to hangout with friends and grab a light drink! My friend really liked the stouts, and I liked the sour. The food was also phenomenal especially for a brewery. The chicken wings with beer is the ultimate combo! Highly recommend getting it!
Favorite brewery in Brooklyn, complete with an in-house roastery, distillery, and kitchen. Halftone, their liquor series, has a wide range and high quality, including gins, liqueurs, and other white spirits. Thick hazy IPAs go down fast. Dumplings are a solid value and served piping hot. Enjoyed talking with the staff, too.
My wife and I had our wedding at Finback. We booked the space for the entire day. Niko and the team at Finback could not have been more helpful and supportive. They were really flexible in terms of how we wanted to structure the day, food, drinks, layout, etc. They worked really well with our vendors and the bartenders were super attentive and friendly. We and our guests had an incredible time. The fried chicken got rave reviews. I would highly recommend having your event in this space. Could not have been more fun.
Another great brewery with a cool taproom. Nice and busy on a Saturday afternoon but we got a table with ease and got down to the beer. As expected the beer was first class, you can’t go wrong with Brooklyn breweries. They don’t offer any alternative serving sizes so watch the strengths!!!
Really lovely brewery. Good selection, friendly staff and clientele.
Fantastic beers, good food to boot. Combine that with a huge space with fun, clean decor and you have a making of a perfect hangout. It can be a bit loud when busy; they'd probably benefit from putting up sound panels to absorb some of the noise.
Good service and an A-rank beer. Slightly breezy room with a very high ceiling. The lights are a bit on the fluorescent side and the music could be a little more tailored to the room. Pop house was playing, which I've found works with a lower (non-metal) ceiling and/or lower range speakers. Live tracks tend to be recorded in bigger spaces, so they tend to sound more native in warehouse-y rooms like this.
Great brewery, unpretentious and knowledgable staff happy to help you find the perfect pint. Good atmosphere, generally busy all day but you can always find a seat. Would have loved more comfortable outdoor seating but perhaps that’s in the works.
Nice place with helpful bartenders and friendly locals. Decent variety of beers and select spirits.
Cool bar and good beer but everytime I go (5+ times) it’s always filled with kids and babies. I suppose it’s a family friendly brewery so heads up if you don’t want to be around kids while at a bar. Or heads up if you need somewhere to bring your kids I guess
I loved your house beer, it tastes really good. The atmosphere is good. Although I wish you had a better interior design. To me, it needs some adjustments, tables are very unstable, we spilled some beer. The staff is friendly. I would recommend you beer
Haven't been to this location before, but have always loved finback beers. The beer this time was pretty good, nothing too stand out. The space was pretty great though with several separate areas to sit in including an upstairs area for private events (or just open space when there's no event). Being my favorite brewery I'd definitely come back to try other beers.
Love the decor love the space. The selection for sour beers is really limited and the one they had in my opinion was kinda gross (grapefruit) definitely when I come back I will be trying a different type of beer. I never knew how big this place was definitely good for large crowds or for a date. The chairs by the bar kinda suck you can’t lean back and it’s really uncomfortable. The bathroom I went into it was really hard to get in and close the door very tight space but I think they had three or four bathrooms. Overall it’s a cute spot definitely give it a try if you’re in the neighborhood. Also the outdoor seating is very small and limited but the inside is HUGE.
Does anyone knows the actual pricing for drinks and food menu (2025) ? every post is outdated and the link for the menu is for the location at queens and nothing on the location at President St Brooklyn
Spent a few hours in the neighborhood tasting beer in the area and this was the weakest. The beer was GOOD but not great, the non-beer options were lackluster according to my partner, and the space was very loud for the number of people present. This was the only spot I didn’t finish my beer.
When we walked in they didn't even acknowledge us and then let us stand there and we had to ask them if they were still serving. Will never be back.
