Classic 小笼包 (soup dumplings) with authentic dipping chilli oil condiments! Such a comforting meal so far away from home.

So glad they opened a location in Williamsburg. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. The shrimp wontons in spicy peanut sauce are one of my favorite dishes to get anywhere and I crave it. The soup dumplings are just OK, I think something is lost when they aren’t made on site but if you need to scratch that itch it will do the trick otherwise go somewhere in Chinatown. They are open until 2am and there’s no waiters just order at the counter. It’s right off Bedford ave and Grand st. So good! Get it!

Had a great experience at Nan Xiang Express in Williamsburg! We ordered the chicken stir-fry and scallion pancakes, and both were fantastic. The chicken stir-fry was flavorful, with tender chicken and perfectly cooked vegetables, all coated in a delicious sauce. The scallion pancakes were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and had just the right amount of oniony flavor. The service was quick, and the staff was friendly. Definitely a great spot for a casual and satisfying meal—will be coming back to try more!

We had a fantastic brunch, but even though the restaurant was almost empty, the host seated us at the bar saying everything was booked and reservations were coming. We stayed for about an hour, and the place remained mostly empty the entire time. Only when we were about to leave did people start showing up. The main issue was that the host didn’t get us a table and also didn’t inform us about any time limitations, which slightly took away from an otherwise great experience.

Came on a saturday morning for brunch. We got pork benedict, cheddar omelete, breakfast burrito, and dulce de leche. Loved everything! Would go back! Service was fast and snappy. Make sure you get reservations. The place gets pretty busy.

Yesterday, while walking past several restaurants, I found myself craving an exceptional meal and was immediately drawn to the menu at Hole in the Wall. We were seated right away, and the menu offered an impressive selection that truly set high expectations. We began with the sausage rolls and wings, both of which were equally outstanding. For our entrées, we each ordered the OG Burger, and it did not disappoint. The use of ground short rib for the burger patties was an excellent choice, resulting in rich flavor and perfect texture. Every element was expertly prepared—the seasoning was spot on, the cheese melted beautifully, the bacon was crisp, the vegetables were fresh, and even the fries stood out. It is rare to find a restaurant where every dish excels, but Hole in the Wall delivered across the board. The staff was warm, attentive, and professional, and the relaxed atmosphere added to an already outstanding dining experience.

Came here w just my mom and I Got brussel sprouts and the shrimp bowl - brussel sprouts were addictive. Also the portion they gave was so big we got to take a lot home too :) Shrimp bowl was excellent w a unique mix - the green tomatoes were an interesting sour punch. I did cut them smaller to mix in bites more. My mom loved the radish and wanted to find out what kind they were. She felt the shrimp wasn’t as fresh as the other ingredients but I felt like it was good.

Yeah this place is pretty top notch, great, yummy clean food and great cocktails. Had an Irish coffee and some fries, it was delicious. Bartender was super nice and the restaurant itself was clean and hip. Looking at other peoples food I wish I was hungry to try some other things it all looked great!

My family and I had a breakfast here. We ordered kimchi scramble, spicy shrimp vodka rigatony, pork benedict. We liked all of them, and the best dishes were in order, the benedict, spicy shrimp vodka rigatony and the kimchi scramble. I also drank espresso martini which was uniquely delicious flavor - sweet at first, then vodka later. It seems stronger than expected.

Went for dinner on date night and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Brussels sprouts were some of the best I’ve had and Caesar salad was great. Also ordered the burrata toast, OG burger, and Carbonara. Would recommend.

Really nice atmosphere! Open and airy with good food and very friendly and excellent people that work here! I had the smash burger which was awesome! The food comes very quickly and is presented really well! The gentleman that took care of us ruled and we will definitely come back! Hope to try some of the other items on the menu! Also, the bathroom is super clean and really well done. If you’re in the area try this spot out for a casual meal, you won’t regret it!

I stopped by this place for a quick solo dinner. It’s a well-known Chinese eatery famous for its soup dumplings, with multiple locations around New York City. I’ve been to their original spot in Flushing before, and this one in Williamsburg feels like a smaller satellite version — cozy but not ideal for large groups. Since it’s mostly self-service, you order from a screen inside, take a seat, and they bring your food to the table. I ordered a bowl of pork and shrimp wonton soup and their signature pork and leek soup dumplings (the green ones). I’ve had these dumplings at their Flushing location before, and they’ve always been excellent — flavorful, juicy, and perfectly steamed. At this location, though, they were still good but not quite as impressive as the original. The wonton soup was decent, but nothing special. The standout here is definitely their in-house chili oil — super spicy, aromatic, and full of flavor. If you visit, don’t skip it. Overall, a solid stop for dumpling lovers, though the Flushing branch still reigns supreme.

Food is amazing! The cucumber salad is to die for. So fresh and flavorful! Would come back just for the cucumbers. The soup dumplings are pretty good too, each bite exploding with hot pork soup. It’s a self service place and food comes out quickly. It’s a small cozy restaurant, limited seating.

Signature soup dumplings were great! Not a fan of the beef ones, has a weird taste and didn’t seem fresh. I’d come back for the other ones though 😊 Guy at the register can be more friendly and communicate more kindly.

Highly recommend, definitely the highlight of my experience here and if return just to have this again 🍽 my partner got the breakfast burrito (we don't eat pork , so he got chicken as a substitute) it was allright, not his favorite Overall I definitely recommend this place.

I was pleasantly surprised by the sizes of the dishes. I didn’t expect generous portions since the prices are quite reasonable. However, I wish the bread wasn’t so dry. Food was served on a water damaged tray. Hate leaving negative reviews but this tray should not have been given to a customer. I thought the dumplings were average but was grossed by the tray and would not come back or recommend.

Excellent brunch food. Staff couldn’t care less. Highly recommend coming here for the food, everything seems to be outstanding. The staff barely manages to squeeze out a smile once you’re about to pay $$$. The staff was quite welcoming and attentive. The dining area was partially filled with locals. We shared two breakfast dishes, the salmon toast and the mushroom toast. The Salmon toast was overseasoned due to all of the salty elements. It was also garnished with thinly sliced red Chile peppers. The poached egg was perfect. The bread was artisonal and freshly baked. The mushroom toast was nearly perfect, albeit a bit more expensive than it should have been. The poached egg and bread were both nearly perfect. Considering the fact that the dining areas were no where near capacity, it makes no sense that both orders were served on chipped dishes/bowls. Two drip coffees with half and half were ordered. Unfortunately, they were both bitter and mediocre at best. I also didn't appreciate seeing that the floor under my chair was littered with food from the previous customer. The menu has promise. Unfortunately, the execution was not up to par.

Extremely mid experience. Started off with walking in and wanting to sit at the bar as a solo diner, was told it was a 45min wait to sit inside. So I said ok I will sit outside wasn't trying to wait, it was a brick and breezy 48 degrees outside. They have a covered eating are hut no heat on it. So while sitting in the cold the staff also doesn't want to be out there so the service suffers intensely. Had to ask for my coffee at brunch 4 times before I wa told they where brewing a new pot and thats why it took so long, all while not bringing a spoon or sugar for the coffee. I ordered coffee first and got it last. My old fashioned and entree came out so fast as if it was somebody else's order that maybe got ran to me or someone declined it and they just rerouted to me.. either way it came out far to fast. Like under 8mins from ordering fast. Thats not enough time for the eggs to be as over poached as they were. The pulled pork Benedict is a solid dish make no mistake but it really came out way too quick. The old fashioned was good.
