I visited here for the 1st time, and I loved everything. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant was very clean and great atmosphere. The prices were affordable, and the food was fresh and delicious. I cleaned my plate, and I rarely leave a restaurant without a to go plate with my leftovers. I had no leftovers. I had their burrito with the avocado. Sorry, I don't remember the name. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a delicious meal.

Delicious! Celebrated my wife’s birthday with wonderful drinks and a meal. The food was delicious. Our server checked on us often and took good care of us. No waiting, we were immediately seated. I used the reservation feature on google maps. Plenty of free parking. Highly recommend!

Our first time here and it was wonderful! Our waitress Karina was the best! We had a large party of 14 and she was great. Drinks and food came out quickly, refills of drinks and chips happened like magic! The food was excellent.

I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Every time we go, our hostess is quick to greet us and friendly. Our server is usually very tentative , friendly and helpful. The food is delicious! Every dish I’ve ordered has been incredible. The prices may seem a bit expensive, but the platter size & taste is more than worth every penny. I highly recommend this place if you’re wanting a sophisticated, delicious, friendly atmosphere and some Mexican food. You won’t be disappointed.

Ah yes the atmosphere has yet to disappoint here. If it is a work meeting, nice dinner, bar day, or even lunch (though a bit pricey for lunch). Abuelo’s will not disappoint. Helpful nice staff and exceptionally clean. This place has surly stepped up its game from a few years ago and is crushing it. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

Our waitress, Jenna, was so incredibly nice and helpful that I included a picture of her with the review (with her permission prior to taking). The restaurant was beautiful, great atmosphere, and even has a statue with a water fountain you can make wishes at. Murals all over and the food wasn't just good but it was reasonably priced. Two people with an appetizer ran around $54.00. Will definitely go back.

My husband and I have been by this restaurant so many times and were afraid to eat here just to be disappointed. We just have a really hard time finding great restaurants in Polk county. Tonight we went by and we were going to eat at longhorns steak house and changed our minds and decided to try it and we are so glad we did. I've eaten at several Mexican restaurants and I have to say this was the best. I will definitely be back and I will recommend your restaurant to anyone who asks for a great place to eat. I posted we were here on FB and we were greeted and served and paid all within 40minutes. Ask for Ruby she was our server and was extremely helpful with my husband who has trouble understanding the menu. Friendly folks great food and a very nice establishment.

Had a delicious meal at this adorable decorated Mexican restaurant. We were provided salsa and chips upon sitting at our table. 3 different types of salsa were provided. Had the chicken Tampiquena which consisted of tender grilled chicken, tasty cilantro lime rice, perfectly cooked veggies, and delicious stringy cheese enchilada with green chili sauce. Others in our party had the enchilada and taco which they also said was very tasty with fantastic flavors. Service was very fantastic.

We were celebrating Mothers Day a bit late. Our Server was nice, came over immediately. I loved the Spicy Salsa and Chips. Mum had Guacamole and loved it! She had the 2 Enchilada Plate <1 Cheese, 1 Chicken,> Hamza had the 3 Enchilada Plate <all beef.> I had the Steak and Shrimp Fajita. The Food was incredible. My Steak was so tender, juicy and flavorful. The Shrimp were perfect! We had so much leftover! We will definitely be back as this was Mums first time!

My group of friends and I always enjoy coming here after the movies. At our more recent visit I got this new chicken, beans and rice bowl It was fabulous. My favorite thing to get here though is the fajitas. Those are always very good. One of my friends gets the pork medallions and another of my friends loves the enchiladas. All the food is good. One member of my group has is gluten and dairy-free and staff is generally willing to accommodate this. Staff is generally always friendly and efficient. There is a relaxed and casual atmosphere.

First off I drove 35 miles to go to this restaurant. My friend was adamant that this was one of the best Mexican restaurants around. It did not disappoint! I do recommend bringing a jacket because they keep the restaurant pretty cold. The food was delicious. We got the three salsas and the appetizer combo. I still cant decide which salsa I liked more, but I think the salsa verde! The queso with the meat was so good! We got the grande meal and a burrito with queso over it. We ate it ALL. We will be going back! Make sure to go when you are really hungry and wear loose pants!

Really great food. We met up with friends and we all had wonderful authentic food experiences. All plates came hot! We noticed that a number of people here were celebrating milestones. It's an appropriate place to dress up a little and the decor and atmosphere is classy and has a good feel.

We had a fun girls night out. Our server, Caos, was amazing! He shared his thoughts about the food. He kept everything running smoothly. He was funny and added that personal touch - like we’ve known him for years.

They have a special fajita combo meal for the family with steak fajita and enchilada trio with several sides, the corn tortillas are very good, they made a good michelada, and they have a big dessert. This cuisine is more Tex-mex than authentic Mexican food.

The food was delicious. My server was good, but the other servers stood next to me at the bar gossiping with each other the whole time that I was there. Otherwise, the atmosphere was nice. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They are a bit pricey, but the portions are generous and the food is delicious. This would be a perfect place to go on a date.

Was really good until the entree arrived. Not sure if it was just way over cooked or sat under the warmer too long.

The food was an average at best. My wife ordered a chimichanga which wasn’t even fried as chimichangas are supposed to be. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! It really needs to be "0" stars! As a rewards member now for many years, I doubt we'll ever come back, for so MANY issues. There are OTHER Mexican restaurants! But no we chose this one for my birthday, big mistake, to never do again. Definitely going elsewhere next time and I'm making sure my friends, family and corp friends never go either. It was a complete disaster from the moment we sat down at the bar, which there was only us 3 and 1 other gentleman, 4 total, not busy! Took forever for "Elise" to come out to get the drink order. I knew at that moment we just should have left, because it only went downhill from there! She has no personality for the restaurant business, much less the bar! Being to busy talking to other servers, eating her dinner behind the bar and going out for a smoke, while, making drinks, big NO!🤬Finally got the drinks. Asked for a water w lemon, never came till after asking multiple times, frustrating. Ordered apps. They were ok. Have had better before on previous visits. Ordered food, bigger mistake! ALL FOOD CAME OUT COLD! And NOT MADE TO ORDER! I know you can have an off night, but this was ridiculous! At least try and make it right....but no, and, It always seems to happen to when there's this "certain" female manager, "that's not in charge" but says she is, meaning, she's not doing her job either, just stands at the end of the bar talking, literally that's ALL she does and wants to yell at a server that's interacting w/me, cuz, he shouldn't be "doing that", but it's ok for her and he had cleared his tables and was actually waiting for oranges! Ugh. So, ordered multiple drinks, multiple apps, multiple dinner plates and dessert to go. Ready to pay and I'm trying to get her, Elise, attention to give my phone number cuz I am a rewards member. She, "Elise" tells me, what number did you get when you checked in, that's what I need! 🤬 Seriously? I always give my phone number and usually like "Tula" as an example, will say my name, ask if I want to use a reward and thank me for coming. But I appeased, and gave the 3 number check in code. Brings check, then sighs when I say I want to use a reward, cuz, of course she has to be inconvenienced to take it off and print out another receipt! I see I'm charged for 1 extra mini scoop of sour cream cuz none came on my nachos, I mean the cheese wasn't even melted, don't get me started with the food!!! So charged for that and then there's a PACKING FEE!!! Are you kidding me?! I chose to come here. I chose what to eat, but if I don't finish it, I have to pay for a container, that I then have to put my "crappy" food in, omg. Nobody charges for a packing fee. Completely crazy! Now if they would use THAT money to putting the AC on then just maybe, ok. But yeah, there's no AC. I mean if you want us to think we're in Mexico at least give us a breeze or something! Now I'm trying to use a gift card, which again, I bought for that restaurant, and she "Elise" and then "this certain" manager, says I CANNOT USE A REWARD WITH A GIFT CARD!!! Like I said in the beginning, NEVER AGAIN! I will not give them my business! I'll be calling corporate too, as all of this was a complete nightmare! Bad on you Abuelos!!! Ps... I had Elise´s hair in my to go flan as well🤢🤮
