Opinions de Mr. Teriyaki Burlingame
The food here was a very good and reasonably priced. As someone in SF from out of state it's an excellent choice if you are staying in the Hyatt regency and just want to walk to dinner or lunch. I had the pork katsu, and it was very good in served in the sweet Tonkatsu sauce. Staff was very friendly and you should be able to be seated relatively fast.
Quick Summary Fast Korean/Japanese food at a great price. Plenty of parking available Food- 4 stars The lunch bento boxes are pretty affordable here. Ordered the beef teriyaki and salmon sashimi bento. The beef teriyaki was basically Korean bulgolgi, so just be prepared for that. The salmon sashimi was a good portion, but was slightly frozen Service- 5 stars Pretty fast and quick service. No frills Bottom Line Pretty good spot for fast Japanese/Korean food, especially if you're in the mood for a quick meal
Food was good. Got a quick bite. Ordered the ZZTop roll. It came out really fast which is great but sometimes too fast is sus as the kids say. The flakes on the top elevated the dish. Service was on it, too. Location is a bit dark and in the back but lit up signs will point the way. Should hv plenty of room to park. Good move on having reserved parking for customers only. Digitally, checked out their website. Definitely needs a redo and mobile friendly but does link out to order online, so that's good. Google Business Profile is complete but should keep customers updated in their updated posts on events or new rolls, etc. Overall, 5 stars for everything.
A small secluded restaurant where you'd think there'd be none, but seemingly a gem worth going for. The food was really delicious and actually made me full which is nice! The staff was extremely polite and wholesome which I always appreciate! The atmosphere was quite cozy as well and quite interesting, too, in a good way!
Amazing food, crafted with care, and intimate atmosphere. Everyone was super friendly and the service was great. They have an extensive sushi menu and other items, and I ate from both and both were wonderful. It's tucked away so they might be hard for travelers to find but I'm telling you it was filled with locals and I might just go back there for dinner tonight!
My husband and I are here while in town for a conference at the hotel next door. Staff was extremely kind and attentive. Our food was simple but yummy. Only complaint is that my husband's sashimi salad had pieces of sashimi that were a bit too large and it made it unpleasant for him to eat. But the flavor and quality was overall good!
Excellent food, served in a personal and friendly way, and very fast. Hard to beat and reasonably priced.
We had a great meal. Everyone in our group was happy. We ate well, great selections. Thanks!
Dined in for a Sat Dinner and another day for Monday Lunch. Cozy, small place, so it can get busy but service is fast, freindly, and the food is amazing!
Amazing sushi spot tucked away in a little known building. The sashimi here is super generous and flavorful. The salmon sashimi we ordered were THICK slices and great quality. The rolls were great as well. My personal surprise favorite of the night was the Hamachi Kama - grilled to crispy perfection but still juicy! I love the sake selection here, there’s a good amount of cold options. Ask your server for a recommendation! Note that this place is SO popular that they can start running out of sushi rice on a weekend night so I recommend coming or ordering early!!
HARD to find but well worth the adventure! This little hole in the wall was EXCEPTIONAL! Our food was fresh and tasted delectable..... DEVINE! I highly encourage you to give it a try! I will make this my go to stop each time I'm in San Fran near the Airport! I repeat this was excellent food and service!
This sushi restaurant is kind of hidden but it's actually really good once you find it. The fish was fresh and the sashimi pieces were large. Service was good and very quick. Jeon and Vivi are excellent at taking care of their guests. Very kind and attentive. Thank you!
Very big portion, delicious, just walking distance from hyatt residence
I haven't been to place in so long that I didn't even know they moved. It was a little hard to find, kind of hidden. Thanks to Google Maps, I found it, and there was parking. Inside, it looked small and had a nice simple layout. Not cluttered or anything, it was nice and organized. I had placed my order over the phone and was picking up. The lady who had taken my order was super nice and helpful. I was trying to figure out what the difference was between rice bowl and ordering the entree. She informed me that the only difference was that the rice bowl had more rice. While I was waiting, I liked that to my left, I could watch Itamae skillfully prepare and make the sushi. It made me wish I had ordered more sushi. I'll order more next time. I ordered: 1. Gyoza - It was crunchy and fresh, I loved the sauce that went with it as well. It had a little kick. 2. California roll - fresh and has a sweet taste to it 3. Beef and veggie bowl - Hefty size, it had a lot of cabbage. I'm not a fan of cabbage, but it's one way to get me to eat veggies. 4. Beef bowl - The meat was nice and tender. It did come with extra rice. I think next time I'll order extra meat or something. It wasn't enough meat and needed a little more sauce. I ended up giving my husband my beef to kind of balance it out some more. Overall, it was a great experience. I can't wait to come back soon. The prices were reasonably priced. Great service, and the 2 aunties that helped me with pick up was super nice.
Quaint clean hole in the wall, tucked back in a business industrial park. Staff is friendly, attentive and the food is of quality with plenty of selections for anyone. I liked it so much I went for 3 evenings in a row, ate and drank something different every time. I went right when they opened at 5pm, go early, fills up quick on some nights! Worth it.
Cool hole in the wall place, was hungry and came upon this spot. They had a good selection of Japanese dishes where you would definitely find something you would like. Service was great and food came out quick. Definitely will be back when I’m in the area!
I have lived and worked in the area for almost 5 years and I’m sad I haven’t tried this place sooner! First time ordering take out, and I already can’t wait to have my next dining experience eating in! Great food, great quality, great quality and excellent service! See you soon Mr. Terriyaki!
I like small restaurants. This one was one of the really good sushi places. Edamame was a little smaller than expected. The garlic pieces were a little large. The service was excellent.
Found this down-to-earth japanese eatery, but really didn't understand the location. The first visit, I was left speechless. Amazing food, reasonably priced with good-sized portions in a clean environment. Probably a family-owned/runned business, staff was professional, awesomely friendly, anticipating on how to best serve you. The food is presented well, definitely prepared fresh by the taste and aromas. This hole-in-the-wall restaurant is a dining experience that will leave you craving for more scrumptious, authentic japanese and sushi dishes. The atmosphere is comparable to a home-cooked meal served in a loving home.
RESTROOM = 5/5 SERVICE = 5/5 FOOD = 5/5 VALUE = 5/5 Absolutely fabulous experience at MR. Teriyaki. It's a little hidden but there is a big sign leading you to one of the best Japanese restaurants in the Peninsula. The minute we walked in, I knew this was the definition of a truly special hole in the wall restaurant. The service was excellent. The food was superb. Prices were good. Tea was excellent. The restroom was extra clean. There was even Purel hand sanitizer at every table. There was a large TV playing the baseball game and in the background I could hear 80s r and b on a stereo system that had excellent bass. We support local family type restaurants and we will definitely be coming back
The portion sizes are much bigger than most sushi places and the food is delicious. I appreciate that they use dark meant for their chicken teriyaki. The staff is very attentive. The 49ers was my favorite roll.
Solid food, friendly service, and fair prices
Awesome sushi, near SFO. By the Hyatt hotel.

It was a very good sushi place, seemed a little of the beaten path! I would recommend! The sushi rolls are good and the chicken rice bowl was good too for the kiddo!
great little spot for quality dishes 😋 service is friendly and place is small and intimate. good variety of rolls, noodles, bento choices and more

My visit to Mr.Teriyaki Sushi was fantastic. The interior of the restaurant was neat and clean. I ordered three rolls: Christy, Hilton, and Salmon Killer. The food looked delicious and tasted delicious as well. I would love to try other menu items too.

Had the Chicken Teriyaki. Excellent! Filled me up. Also had the stuffed jalapeños. Betwr than expected! Went back a week later and ordered the same. Delicious! Friendly lady up front, as well.
The best sushi around! My husband and I looked for YEARS for a new sushi spot when our old favorite closed down because of Covid… Mr Teriyaki is the only place we go now! Just look for the sign and drive through the big parking lot all the way to the back. Easy peasy! The food is always delicious, and the service is top notch. So happy we found Mr. Teriyaki! 💯🔥🙌🏼
Tried Mr Teriyaki Sushi while I was in town for work. Everyone was very friendly and the sushi was great! I liked it so much I went back again for dinner the next night!
Some of the best sushi and chicken teriyaki In the entire bay area. This is my go-to spot anytime i’m in the area and it never disappoints. Customer service is also phenomenal. I love coming here!
The reviews are spot on. I had the best sashimi of my life. I’ve never liked raw salmon or been into raw sushi but the raw salmon here is so buttery and actually flavorful? I couldn’t believe I was able to eat it from my partners bowl. I also had their teriyaki dinner combo with miso soup, salad, and gyoza. I ate everything and couldn’t stop because it was all sooo good. And their deep fried ice cream is authentic. Worth every penny and service was great! I never felt abandoned. And THEY HAVE FREE PARKING AND LOTS OF SLOTS TO PARK IN!! That’s rare in or near San Francisco! Just keep in mind their spicy rolls are very very spicy even for me and I love spicy but wow their kick is strong so id recommend telling them light spicy sauce lol! Thank you Mr. Teriyaki Sushi! After a long day at the airport you didn’t disappoint.

Been here 3 times this month while traveling. Got takeout twice and dined in once. Service here is great, everyone is very friendly. They remember all their customers which is rare these days. Food for takeout is hot and portioned well. Dining space in restaurant is a bit small so better for intimate groups or eating alone. Will definitely visit again next time I’m in town.
Decent sushi place on the hotel block south of SFO. Their lunch Bento gives you selection of Teriyaki Beef, spicy pork, saba or teriyaki chicken, with 2 side choices like assorted tempura, salmon sashimi and California roll, with miso soup and fresh salad. Attentive and friendly service, plenty of free parking.
Looking for well rated sushi after our flight, found this on Yelp search. Actually about 3.5 rounded up to 4. Tempura a bit greasy, teriyaki a little skimpy, sushi rolls were fine, but somewhat average. Might stop by again if driving past. Easy parking.
Nice sushi spot near the airport. Known for their teriyaki chicken. Greet service and food quality was excellent.

Decent sushi but the place was a bit rundown. Window sills could stand some cleaning. They had a lot of customers though.
The customer service was absolutely amazing! They make you feel so welcomed and greet you with a smile. I was not a fan of the chicken teriyaki special. The chicken did have that nice char taste to it but other than that it was lacking in flavor. The California roll was unimpressive so it left a lot to be desired. Maybe dining in would be a different experience but the staff was really sweet and fast.
My family likes the wide variety of decent sushi rolls and friendly service but I find the non-cheap prices out of line for the industrial location and vibe. But I am lucky to have many, very good options near me
