It was worth spending evening watching arch while Sun going down on horizon from Jazz. As we planned trip to Cabo last minute for new year, sunset Monalisa was not available and we ended up reserving Jazz which is managed by same group. We ended up with better experience, food, value for money. Jazz is on top of Monalisa which gives better view and ala carte gave us better vegetarian options compared to Monalisa. Food was great and so was service and view.

Beautiful atmosphere watching the sunset. Probably the prettiest location we’ve seen for a restaurant. Food was delicious. We had the caesar salad, truffle pizza, and smoked chocolate mousse cake. Esau y Areli were great waiters.

4.5 stars !! MENU ONLINE IS WRONG !! they have the old menu from 8 years ago I've attached the real one because everything is about 33 dollars Nice view got to see the sunset and it was beautiful Food was good but pizza is a little small if you are getting for 2 Would recomend the Nutella pizza Waited for music and it was enjoyable (a little loud though for my taste)

Fantastic views, excellent customer service and great pizza. My wife loved her birthday dinner. They treated her to a complementary dessert. I would not skip this spot on my next Cabo trip.

Yair is a wonderful host. Great view of the sunset. Honestly a much better value than Monalisa!!! A must try when visiting Cabo.

Amazing sunset view, very friendly and upbeat staff, enjoyed the outdoor music as well as went inside after dinner for the live music in there. One of the best places to view the sunset

Stunning sunset view of Cabo, including the famous arches. Drinks and the fresh focaccia bread were incredible. Service at the bar was wonderful (didn’t have a reservation). Great way to kick off my Cabo adventure. Definitely worth a visit.

The perfect sunset dinner restaurant. My husband and I had the most wonderful dinner here. The service from beginning to end was truly top notch. The live music perfectly matched the colors of the sunset. A little pricey but perfect for a special occasion.

An amazing experience for our wedding anniversary!!! Javier our waiter was OUTSTANDING! The view from our terrace table was AMAZING! The food was DELICIOUS! You can’t go wrong here! Don’t hesitate to come here!

We ate here for our one year anniversary and it was amazing. To be honest, we read the reviews beforehand and decided we were just going to share the Caesar Salad and the Margarita Pizza as many reviewers have complained about the prices for the little bit of quantity. The pizza and salad were perfect for us. We ordered a nice bottle of Cabfranc and it was divine. The service was incredible, the wait staff was very attentive. The views were insane, but know that the seating is not the same as Sunset Mona Lisa, you are definitely higher up, but the views are still great.

My husband and had the best experience ever. We were celebrating my birthday and our server named -Santiago- was outstanding. He was so nice and made us feel so welcomed. He made sure to check on us often to see if we needed anything else. We sat outside and had the best view of the arch and sunset. Food was very good and great price! We will definitely be back! Thank you again to Santiago for making my birthday dinner so special!

Quick Summary This is the boutique version of Sunset Monalisa, as the restaurant is the floor above Sunset Monalisa. You still get the iconic sunset dinner with El Arco at a lower cost. Food and service were fantastic. Ambiance was unmatched. I would try to book an earlier appointment to get the table closest to the sunset (but it can be hot, so be prepared with sunglasses and a hat) Food- 5 stars local charcuterie- very solid cheese board. Great starter scallops- these were incredible. Perfectly cooked and tasted so fresh octopus- these were incredible. Perfectly cooked and tasted so fresh. Really enjoyed the woodfire grill nutella pizza- great dessert to end the night. Can't get enough of the woodfire Service- 5 stars The service was impeccable. Everyone was very kind and attentative, without being overbearing Ambiance- 5 stars The ambiance was unmatched. Along with one of the best views of Cabo, there were fantastic singers and fireworks (since there was a wedding at Sunset Monalisa; thank you newlyweds)! We were able to get the table closest to the edge, with an unblocked view of El Arco (but it did require us to bake in the sun a bit before sunset). People were usually courteous about a getting a picture around us, but it wasn't the same as getting more privacy at Sunset Monalisa downstairs Bottom Line Sunset Monalisa or Jazz on the Rocks are must-visit spots if you want the iconic sunset dinner in Cabo. I would opt for Sunset Monalisa if you're willing to spend and have your space. But Jazz on the Rocks has the same view (but it's higher up and I would recommend coming about an hour before sunset to get a closer seat to the open area)

One of my favorite places to visit while in Cabo. If you’re looking for the best sunset in Cabo, this place delivers on every level. The service is warm, the setting unforgettable and the entertainment provided by Darlene and the band is breathtaking.

Jazz On The Rocks Our travel group likes to find Jazz or Blues wherever we travel. Someone in the group found this place while researching Cabo so we made a reservation for an evening after our sunset cruise. We were concerned that our attire wouldn’t fit in because we were coming directly from a boat and they list their dress standards as smart casual. We were also disappointed because we would be getting there probably an hour after the band started playing. Upon arrival you are greeted by these beautiful steps to get to the front entrance. I’m hoping that they have access for the physically challenged but I didn’t look around or ask anyone. Once inside we could see that we were dressed fine as there were a few more casual dressers already seated. The band was unfortunately on a break so we had about another 15 minutes to wait for the music. We were able to place our food and drink orders for a party of six pretty quickly. We mainly ordered the brick oven pizzas ( meat lovers / truffle) as recommended by many reviewers. We also ordered the short rib pasta dish. Everything we ate was a hit! Definitely memorable. The band finally returned but I can’t really say that they played the type of jazz that we are used too but it was nice background music and didn’t overtake our conversations despite sitting pretty close to the stage🎵👍🏾 Would we return or recommend to friends or family..absolutely! Give them a try..the music starts around 7pm

We sat on the patio for Jazz on the rocks and could not have asked for a more stunning view to eat dinner. There was a beautiful wedding ceremony happening during it, but that was no distraction at all. The only issue with the food was the steak was cooked more on the rare side instead of medium rare, but was still delicious. Highly recommend the short rib Pasta for anyone going. Pizzas were also a big hit.

Amazing place with great views, delicious food and outstanding service! On the pricey side but worth it!

R

A beautiful location, however, unfortunately, inside the view is blocked by the stage and band. We were able to move outside because the music didn't allow a conversation. However, if you love live jazz it is a Great jazz band on Friday nights! Just difficulty having a conversation. The pizzas were tasty and the desserts were delicious.

The restaurant is beautiful & I definitely recommend. We were surprised with the edge table on the terrace to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. It was the best table in the house on the edge with a breathtaking view. We paid the cover charge for our reservation in advance. The view was INCREDIBLE & the service was wonderful. Our server Jesus and the manager were very professional and kind. Drinks were good & the food was yummy. The short rib pappardelle was delicious. The Caramel duck pasta was ok , but I wish I would have ordered the Gnocchi. The Holiday and Jazz something drinks were DELICIOUS But BEWARE... we paid for the terrace but as soon as the sun was setting we were suddenly surrounded by almost everyone that was sitting INSIDE. Mind you, the terrace is tiny & we were sitting in the prime area with our dinner already Infront of us, but there were people putting their hands in our faces, hands and arms above our food. People bumping into us and basically with their elbows on our table trying to get pictures/selfies with the beautiful view. This lasted almost our entire time we were eating. It was very uncomfortable and I feel like we lost out on our experience that we "paid and reserved" at the expense of everyone trying to get their photos in. I feel like it should have been the restaurant's responsibility to not allow all of those people on the terrace, it was so tacky and rude of the other guests. Don't be like those people. I will post the video and you can clearly hear how many people are around us. It was a waste for us to pay for the "experience" on open table when we made the reservations....we would have ordered more and spent more time there but it was just uncomfortable after that. One guest even was snarky about us clearly being annoyed and uncomfortable. After she noticed that I was annoyed that her and her family of 6 were in my personal space trying to take a picture. She literally said "es el sacrificio para la vista...bien creídos " ... the mánager stopped by our table as soon as everyone left , during that time the staff couldn't even walk to the tables to assist . He apologized and said it was out of his control, which we understand..he was so kind and respectful...I just recommended they do some crowd control...before hand or limit the amount of people who come to the edge to take a picture They did surprise us with some champagne and desert candy which was really sweet.

Had a great meal here to start our vacation in Cabo. We booked a sunset dinner where we were facing the bay and watching the sunset. The environment is very cozy and they have a different jazz band playing each night that creates a great environment. They have the other restaurant downstairs as well where you can sit outside and face the sunset. All in all, great meal.

Beautiful view and great pizza! We got the Classic Napolitana and the Fried Pizza. We sat outside so we couldn’t hear the jazz music but we got to hear live music from the restaurant below and saw a fire dancing show. I recommend coming around 6-6:30pm to get a good seat.

Such a breath taking experience. Me and my husband were so amazed, make sure to sit out doors when booking. Food was delicious! And staff were amazing and attentive. Geraldo, Jesus and Hugo took great care of us by offering us great customer service. By, the end of our dinner, Geraldo brought out a chocolate mezcal on the house!! We had the most epic experience. We will be back soon 🥂

Incredible service, food, and atmosphere. This is a must visit location for any trip to Cabos. The views are spectacular, and the food is memorable. 10/10 highly recommend.

Sunset Point (located directly above Mona Lisa) is everything that people said it would be. We booked our reservation for 5:30. The sunset was 6:08 on the day we dined. It was delightful to watch the sun disappear over the rocks and the city. Our waiter, Ohnel, was very attentive and courteous. He complied with all of our requests. The Brie salad was top notch. The meatballs were tasty. They were not quite the temp I would have preferred but I’m not complaining. We had 2 pizzas: the margarita and the special “sunset point”, which had beef tips, potatoes and a ton of garlic. Both pizzas were tasty. The crust was done to perfection. Ohnel surprised us with an after-dinner small desert tasting plate that made us smile. Including 1 glass of wine and 1 bottle of water, our bill was $98 before tip. That’s about what we expected to pay when we arrived, so our expectations were exceeded. After our dinner, we sat and looked at one of the classic picture books they had on their shelf and chatted for a few minutes. The only negative I can describe is that the huge picture window was dusty; thus we didn’t have a perfect view of the one thing we went for. They told us that they clean the windows on Sunday and we were there on Saturday. Maybe they will start cleaning them more often so the dust is never noticeable. 🙂 Anyway, we loved being inside... we were warm and there wasn’t any wind to wreck the mood. Thank you Ohnel and Sunset Point for making the evening memorable. It was a special night with you.

This place was AWESOME! The view was spectacular, the service was excellent and the food was 5 star! Best Sunset in all of Cabo! Can’t wait to come back! Thanks to Leonardo our excellent server and the entire staff for making this experience the best!

Jazz on the rocks is almost the same as Sunset Mona Lisa. We sat on the terrace and had an excellent view of the sunset and water. We had excellent service by Sheila and Santiago. I highly recommend

The food is delicious I’m especially a fan of the SHORT RIB PAPPARDELLE and the carpaccio. On open table you can request to sit outside and that is obviously amazing. I’d go before sunset so you can take some photos and enjoy their sunset show. Just a bit of a thing is that if you do request to sit outside nothing tells you this while booking so I will but you have to pay a fee and you aren’t told until the bill comes out.

L
Luz Garcia

Food was delicious! $20 cocktails were ok. If you pay for the experience, I would suggest the 4:30 pm slot. Get there by 4 pm so you can get the very best table, it’s the very first one that is not placed in front of the stair case. The area you’ll be seated gets crowded with other guests when it’s sunset time. Guests that aren’t even sitting near you will crowd your space for pictures.

Amazing food, views & service! My family and I were 50/50 on going here or Sunset Monalisa and really satisfied that we went with Jazz on the Rocks ❤️ S/o Naide (she helped us with a call from our hotel) and Adrian, who was a fantastic server. Also, they'll provide a blanket if it's a little chilly outside!

This place is magnifique, the view is excellent and the space is very comfy. It is on top of the Sunset Monalisa, with the same view. You have the option to sit inside and enjoy an awesome jazz music or outside with a quieter atmosphere. It’s a bit pricier than a regular restaurant but it is worth it. Santiago was our server, he is super attentive and kind. We went the first time to try the beef tenderloin and the tropical desert.. our experience were so good that we came back to celebrate our 1 year anniversary and we tried the truffle pizza.. OMG, that was one of the best pizzas that I have had. We really recommend Jazz on the rocks.

Our experience was excellent - the food was great, the environment full of life with the jazz band playing up front, and the waiters and bartenders were friendly and incredibly knowledgeable on the culture of the area and of the liquor produced in the country.

Half the price of Mona Lisa and the same View! My wife and I celebrated our Honeymoon in Cabo. We were staying at a local resort and wanted to venture out beyond. Adrien was our waiter on the patio. He was wonderful. My wife has a dairy allergy that wrecks her week and they did a great job accommodating. The 90 day dry aged Filet was cooked to perfection. The Sea Bass was also excellent. If you go to Cabo and are looking for a world class experience for $125 a person, come here. It’s wonderful.

What to compliment first? Since their first name is Jazz, let's talk about the music, sound system & venue is a great place to listen to & enjoy great jazz. The view is spectacular, maybe the best sunset view in all of Cabo. Food is creative but migh,t for some, miss the intended mark. This was the reason we did not try their sister/adjacent restaurant Mona Lisa Sunset. Jazz on the rocks is a very comfortable space with great service. We loved our evening there. BTW, they have valet parking.

Thank you to our server! & photographer at this restaurant. This place is beautiful, and had live artists singing Jazz music. The view was beautiful here, and the pizza delicious! Definitely would recommend :) ! Thank you for making my birthday memorable!!

We chose to eat on the patio for an extra 12 US per person. The view is absolutely gorgeous you can see the Arch and the city. We got the meat lovers pizza and short rib pasta both were very good. The service was attentive. The patio is very small I think next we will sit inside to hear the music playing. We will definitely be back.

The seating options on open table are unclear but we booked the outdoor terrace experience. It was very windy/chilly so they proactively asked us if we wanted to sit inside and it was better temperature but worse view so a mixed bag. People outside had blankets provided by the restaurant. Women had their hair flying around like in a convertible on the highway. The windows inside are so-so, similar to covered ski lift where pics are somewhat obstructed. The jazz bad/singer were both good. The food was also good (cauliflower appetizer and diavolo pizza, ella fitz cocktail, espresso martini). Price was ok. The table we sat at was a high-top for 2 which was a bit awkward, 1 seat was a narrow stool. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. We were able to walk down to the Sunset restaurant’s bar for drinks after but it was too cold/windy though weather app said 72 degrees. If we had a do-over we would have probably have preferred the sunset restaurant (also had music) but it was too chilly/windy for any outdoor option really in late June at night. We thought our food or drink might easily fly away. The attached pics are of/from both the sunset restaurant (outside) and jazz on the rocks (inside).

An incredible experience. The restaurant photos display a white lower deck for outside seating but keep in mind, this is a neighboring restaurant. Jazz on the Rocks has outdoor seating but it's high top (bar-like) tables. The views are outstanding but it was super windy. They also tack on an additional $20 for outdoor seating. We were getting blown away, so we moved inside. Everyone was super friendly, some waiters were very eager. I didn't drink alcohol but had a fruit inspired drink and was under the impression it was all natural. Needless to say, I ended up with a sugar migraine after only drinking 1/4 of the drink. The food was delicious. We both had pasta. Mine was a simple lemon pasta with a few grilled shrimp. Modest portion and flavorful. To the main event: the jazz performers created an eclectic vibe. I looooved the music and ambiance. The views are incredible - no words. Would definitely return if I'm in the area again. Great for date night or just somewhere to hear good music with food.

Great tasting food. Great view of the bay and the Cabo arch. Life jazz at 630. One star missing because the entree was the size of an appetizer and came without any sides.

M

The food here is so delicious! I loved the beef and burrata salad as well as the roasted cauliflower! The fried pizza and the meat lover pizza was too die for, so good! The service here is pretty slow though and I wish there were more options on dessert

Cool view and vibe, alternative to Sunset Monalisa! Nice priced alternative to Sunset Monalisa. In fact the view is right above and behind sunset Monalisa and you get to enjoy a nice vibe after sunset. The contemporary jazz band there this evening wasn’t the most energizing group but it served its purpose. The Wagyu was tender and moist, just about perfect!

n
nicole andrade

The view was beautiful. It was cold and they offered us a shawl and a the heaters to help. The waiter was so nice, he seemed new. We got a steak and weren’t given a steak knife. We paid per person to be able to have dinner and hear the live jazz band. We didn’t realize you wouldn’t be able to hear anything outside, where we were seated. So, not sure the point of having us pay for the show. We could only hear the music from the sister restaurant. They sat us 30m after our reservation. The steak came out cold, the Cesar salad had too much dressing, and the cocktails weren’t good. The lobster tortellini and fries were flavorful.

P
Patricia Julber

It was ok. Food was pretty good, but not exceptional, for the price. The view is fabulous! Music was just ok. Service was ok. Asked us repeatedly about food sensitivities but didn't explain why my Caesar salad had no dressing, until I hunted down someone. Short rib paparadelle was good, but not homemade pasta. Dessert was delicious.

The atmosphere is 5 stars! The place is wonderful, mainly with the sunset. But the service was really poor, at least on the outside of the Jazz patio. We paid 300 pesos just to sit there as a reservation, but the lady that served us didn't seem to understand why we were there... Maybe because we were not all dressed up? I saw people wearing shorts and sandals and they were better treated than us. We were wearing just jeans, normal shirts and shoes... The waitress took a while to bring us the blankets as it was so windy... When she realised that we were not going to drink beverages, it got worse... So, if you are thinking about going there but you will not spend thousands of pesos, you better be prepared to be mistreated by the servers... Horrible experience in this regard. The food was ok, nothing to write home about. There are other levels below, where the people seemed to be treated much more adequately, even if you are wearing shorts..

For a place so highly recommended we were quite disappointed. The atmosphere is amazing, the views are great (i recommended going at dusk to enioy the sunset). But the service was so poor! When it went it was freezing due to the wind (i recommended wearing warm clothes) and we asked for a blanket and waited 20 minutes for it. Drinks came around a good 10 minutes after ordering. The food was quick and the pizza was tasty, but for the price you anticipated more. Charged an automatic 16% on top of our bill which the waitress said was tax even though we didn't get this anywhere else in Baja the 2 weeks we were there. We liked the live music.

G
GSBCA M

Starting with the positives, the drinks were very good. We had both cocktails and mocktails and all were very tasty. The view is beautiful and the vibe inside is nice for a jazz bar. Once the music started we did find it a bit too loud. For food we ordered one pizza and several other entrees. The pizza was quite good and a reasonable size, however the other entrees were tiny and had flavours that just didn’t work. The tortellini tasted like it was filled with hot dogs. This experience doesn’t match with what we paid for this meal which was around $80USD per person. If you want a beautiful sunset view and drinks then you will enjoy it. If you want dinner, stick with pizza.

J
Justin

High expectations, mediocre experience. The views, band, and atmosphere is fantastic! The food was acceptable quality and taste, but the serving sizes were small and we did not get full even with multiple appetizers and entrees. However my big complaint was with the service…. The service was..…. odd. Our server started out overly nice and attentive and then seemed to lose attention as the evening went on. By the end he was completely ignoring us and made us wait for almost 30 minutes after we asked for the bill. And then eventually after a long wait instead of bringing the bill he brought us an iPad and pressured us to fill out a complicated multi-page questionnaire for a review. I’m sorry but the last thing I want to do on vacation after a long day of traveling and after dinner and a couple drinks is be forced into filling out a long online form on your tablet at the dinner table. Especially after I’ve already asked for the check multiple times. Then when we finally did get the check he VERY awkwardly hovered over us at the table waiting and watching my every move to make sure I left the appropriate tip. The whole experience with the server felt awkward and uncomfortable and forced. My advice for the server is to just chill a little and not pretend to try so hard.
