Been here a few times when visiting Cambria and it's quickly becoming a favorite for me! I know I can come here for good food and good beer!! I had the fish and chips this last time I was here and it was fresh and tasty and El Jefe beer to go along! My husband had a chicken with mushrooms sandwich and it looked amazing! Now, I've never been a fan of coconut shrimp, it's the only way I won't eat shrimp but my ordered some and I have to say, this might be the only place I will eat coconut shrimp at, it was so good!!!

This place has great food and drinks but Gary, must be the owner? I’m assuming because he comes off as very arrogant and rude “I call the shots” type to his staff. The servers are great and unfortunately it seems as though he ruins the work environment for them. I know I was ready to leave just so I could stop hearing him yap nonsense. Get over yourself Gary!

Ordered a regular burger and the Cajun pasta. Definitely a reason the Cajun pasta is a fan favorite. It saucy with lots of flavor. It comes with shrimp and sausage and delicious garlic bread. Service could improve. Atmosphere was chill.

West End Bar and Grill is a solid spot for a casual meal. The service was friendly and welcoming, which made for a pleasant experience. The food was good overall – I had the fish and chips, and my wife opted for the fish sandwich. Both dishes were made with fresh Alaskan cod, and you could really taste the quality of the fish. While everything was enjoyable, there’s just a little room for improvement to make it a 5-star experience. That said, we’d definitely come back for another meal. A great choice if you’re in the area!

What a great place. Went here to grab something to eat and have a beer, and have to say it took me by surprise. First of all the selection of beer is impressive, and the menu have just about the right amount of dishes to choose from. We tried shrimp cocktail, coconut shrimps with mango sauce, pasta Alfredo, Fisk and chips, clam showier in two versions. Everything was so good! The coconut shrimps are so delish and have a great crunch to them. And together with the sauce this became a winner. Fish and chips (Cod) have a great batter and the fish is so fresh. Just great. Service is great with a smile, and food comes out fast. If you're in the area, or passing through, I can really recommend this place.

It is a reminder to myself that I should not come back. Two of us spent $100 for lunch. The service is fantastic. The restroom is clean. The food is bad Steak salad is bad, medium rare was over cooked. You should try their fried seafood instead, cuz fried anything should be good. We spent 90$ for dinner at grill seafood place by the beach, food was much nicer and less pricy. In my opinion, it is overpriced.

After the long walk along Moonstone Beach Boardwalk I decided to try this place for a late lunch. When I go to a seafood restaurant the quality of their Clam Chowder defines a lot for me. So, I order the chowder and the Spicy Fish Tacos. The Clam Chowder is more of a potato chowder with clam juice added for the flavor, I couldn’t taste any chunks of clams. The fish tacos were ok and I have to say very generous on the toppings. Service was excellent.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 3/5 - Steamed clams were very heavy in butter and wine. The garlic breads were also very rich but highly enjoyable. Halibut and chips (which is a step up in price from their fish and chips) was lightly batterer but very dry unfortunately. The fries had some very faint seasoning reminding us of Cajun spices. Ambience: N/A - ordered food to go. Bar vibe with lots of noise and multiple TV with games on Service: 3/5 - didn't seem organized and not sure who is responsible to help. However, the older waitress that ended up helping us was very nice Value for price: 4/5 - decent price for the clams ($16) but would not recommend the halibut and chips ($18)

My husband and I each ordered clam chowder. It lacked flavor and had very few clams. There are several restaurants with much better clam chowder. The waitress was very nice and was by herself and was able to handle all the lunch crowd. The service was good.

What happened? New owners? Staff? It was a WED night and they were busy and only one person serving. She tried but man a room full of people and the wait time was too long. The food: I had the clam chowder in the bread bowl. The bread was soft, and not baked. The last time I had it, the bread was crispy and buttered, and it tasted amazing. This time it was not so good. The clam chowder itself was average and OK. She had the fish and chips. The fish was overcooked and super salty and the fries were old and not as tasty. We were both really disappointed because the last time we were here this place was amazing. The service was on the spot. Not sure what happened and if they are new owners, but it definitely shows.

Overpriced, mediocre food. Agree with the other 3 reviews that the chowder is bad and only clam flavored potato soup. The also only serve bottled water and don’t tell you when you ask for water. "According to California Civil Code Section 114376, restaurants in California are required to offer free, fresh drinking water to their patrons. This law to all establishments, including chains, restaurants, and trucks. Must provide water to customers request, and cannot charge for it."

The food is OK, pretty standard and the waitresses are nice unfortunately I will never step foot in this place again after they turned off the Super Bowl halftime show. In a town that’s over 50% Hispanic, this was a weird flex! Adios West End!

Somehow, on my 30th birthday, their oyster shot gave me an instantaneous upset stomach that prolonged for hours. Some would say that this could be likely, however volatile immediate diarrhea should not happen. The embarrassingly drunk owner could have at least offered a birthday well shot or something. when he checked my ID he was like "damn, what happened to you?" Playful teasing is fine but he was being obnoxious. Weird vibes here. The peachy keen delight was nice, but they included a gratuity charge as part of the final bill without disclosing it and I didn't realize until after leaving an additional cash tip.

I was spending New Year's Eve at home so I thought I would treat myself to fish and chips. I picked West End because their menu online stated halibut and chips. I could not reach them by phone so I drove down there walked in at 4:45 to go orders are placed by the bartender and she was starting to get busy. She told me to give her a few minutes. She was very pleasant and nice. She was able to take my order. I got out of there about 525. I got home open the box. And there were five very thin Pieces of fish. Three pieces were maybe 3 inches long then the only two bigger pieces in there were about 5 inches in length 3 1/2 inches in width. Halibut is a thick fillet. This dinner was $21 and change and that's before taxes and I included a tip because Service was very good and it got busier and busier while I was waiting. Also, I was not a fan of sweet tartar sauce I prefer savory. that was too much money for very little fish and definitely not worth it.
