The scenery is gigantic and beautiful. Stunning with statues, decorations, lighting, and the layout. There are three "rooms" you can eat at: Chinese, Japanese, and the Sushi Bar. Each room is set apart from one another and their aesthetics are jaw dropping. The staff are friendly and very polite. With three different kitchens, the Sushi Bar, Japanese kitchen, and Chinese kitchen, it is understandable to have food come out at different times. I personally didn't mind that but good for new comers to know! There is a small sanctuary containing two koi fish, multiple small black fish and small turtles in a pond. It was an adorable sight to see. Each have names and fun facts about the animals. There is a large tank located in the Sushi Bar with a variety of stunning fish. The care and appreciation for this animals shows that the staff have a heart and that is a good trait to know when handling customers. Thank you! I can't wait for my next visit! 💜

Inadvertently placed an order at this location. I called the restaurant and informed them of my mistake and even though they had already prepared the food and it was waiting for my pickup they understood my mistake and allowed me to cancel the order. What I was absolutely surprised of and appreciative of was the restaurants gratitude for being contacted and informed of the mistake. They mentioned they would have been worried about whoever the order was to be picked up by. This is true human kindness. If I am ever in this part of California I will make it a point to be a customer. Thank you for a great experience!
If you enjoy healthy, home-cooked meals, and really like stirfry, Kung pow chicken, sweet-and-sour pork, any of the Chinese favorites it’s cheaper to just buy them at Rice Bowl and they are so affordable and so plentiful that it will last you a long time .. They are so generous with their portions and the quality is so fresh and good for you. It’s cheaper to just buy food from them once a week if you’re like me and you’re not really good at making excellent stirfry they have all the ingredients and is so delicious and fresh. …Fried items like egg rolls and cheese, crab wontons are cooked with extremely good oil unlike other places. Beef and broccoli, chicken chow mien is all phenomenal. Nothing less than five stars.. Delivery only cost six dollars to deliver. This is gonna be my go to every time now. I’m so glad I found them. Excellent Chinese restaurant with so many other things that I cannot wait to try.. did I mention the fortune cookies are crisp and delicious also…
Great service, atmosphere and lots of food! And the food was the best food I ever had. Tasted super fresh and made to order. 10/10 Over 6 pounds of food, rice 2 pounds plus, chow mein 2 pounds plus, & pork 2 pounds plus. Very authentic and good food.
Their menu is huge with lots of variety. We tried the shrimp fried rice, kung pao tofu, and crispy chicken — all were delicious! The portions are very generous, and the prices are quite reasonable.
I always get my soup from this place and their sushi is the bomb.com! I will always love this place my go to!
This place is hands down the perfect Asian cuisine experience! I've been here 3 times and every time, the food has been perfect! The service is always top-notch, and they are very attentive! The atmosphere is very nice! Everything is very spacious and there's some very beautiful mood lighting. There even a koi pond!
Boring name for an exquisite experience. Good was incredible: fresh, tasty, filling. Interior was gorgeous! Service was perfect. Prices are quite reasonable, especially for generous portions.
I’ve seen this sign several times in passing, finally decided to give it a try. Upon entry we were warmly greeted and offered a table, booth or sushi bar. We went with a booth. Food portion was good, enough to take home for next day. Food was authentic. I would return and would recommend this restaurant to fam and friends. I took a few photos on the outside and inside.
Nice and quiet. They bring out the food with a cart like a dim sum place. Staff is very friendly and attentive. This is a very professional quality restaurant, not some mom and pop place.
Reservation for party of 16 including 4 young kids. Server was patient and fantastic. We ordered around 12 dishes. Still enough to take some food home. Food was great, everything came out hot and fresh.
Always a great place to have sushi. Ask Simon to make your rolls, once he gets to know you he goes above and beyond with the mission impossible rolls. All their staff is very nice and helpful.
Absolutely delicious! Was visiting Chico to see some family and this place popped up. Very glad we went; the sushi rolls were bomb and the crab rangoons are AMAZING. (No pics as they didn’t stay on the plate long enough!) The fortune cookies are also very good! You can buy a bag of 12 for $1 at the front counter and I got two. The service was also great, no complaints there. Overall a very good sushi stop! Will definitely be visiting again when I find myself back on the West Coast.
Amazing customer service, these folks were on it, tou couldn't tell they were understaffed! Very friendly and attentive. Their sushi chefs are second to none and true artists!
Staff were friendly and helpful. The food came out to the table complete and was very tasty. The pan fried noodles were crispy and if you like them less crispy please order that way. We ate meal family style.
Wow! I haven't eaten here in years and I have no idea why. The food was amazing, the owner came out and helped us pick out the best sushi for my family based on our likes and dislikes of sushi. His suggestions were spot on! Soo cool that you can get amazing Chinese and Japanese food. I will definitely be going back soon!
I like the authenticity of the decor, the hostest was very energetic, and helpful with our order to go. Took 20 mins to cook 4 entrees and sides fresh.they have quite a bit of entertainment outside. For the short time I was there it was very enjoyable.
The Bryan roll with Tobiko added. Excellent quality fish, flavors on point. This is a deep fried roll and I did find the fry later to be a bit thick throwing of the balance. I was able to eat about half and the men with me were full after one roll. Worth the price. Service was a bit slow but they did have a large party with lots of sushi orders ahead of us so that could be why.
It seems they are preparing for an update or remodel (let's hope). Many areas of the restaurant are in the middle of the demo and or are in disrepair. Could be the weather and a lazy Sunday but our help was distracted elsewhere. The food was simply amazing which is why eat here often.
Update: the last few years have not been kind to the Rice Bowl. While their food is still decent, it's nowhere near as good at it used to be. The restaurant lobby has fallen into disrepair and is in desperate need of updating. What's great about this restaurant is it's split personality. Half the restaurant is Chinese, and half is Japanese. Both sides are very well done and both menus are well executed. The sushi is fresh and well prepared, all of the dishes I've tried have been excellent. Depth of flavor and attention to detail make this a regular stop for my family. My only complaint is that occasionally the service can be less than spectacular.
I went there today and ordered a Mongolian beef. The plate came out with about 90% onion and just a little bit of beef , it honestly was like an onion plate. I told the server and he said he’d check with the kitchen. He came back saying he talked to his manager and they gave me a small discount which is only $5. Not even caring about their customers and not even offered anything else to cover that up . I understand the economy is jacking the prices up, but I don’t expect to be served 90% onion and 10% beef. I came to eat, not to leave hungry . Really disappointing.
