A very attractive and clean restaurant, with friendly staff and very quick service. They have a lunch special on weekdays from 11 to 3 which is very good. Pretty much every entree on the menu, and you get soup and your choice of rice or chow mein. I ordered the sesame prawns. It was a very generous serving! The soup was fine, a hot and spicy sweet and sour dish. The chow mein was a very large serving, the noodles were VERY good but there could have been more vegetables. The serving of prawns was very large, 6 very big prawns with a crispy coating and nice sauce. Huge prawns, very tasty, more than I expected. When I come back I’m going to order this again!
I was driving the length of California on Christmas Day and the place I wanted to go to turned out to be closed. I was driving from Oregon so I didn't call ahead at that point. This place was nearby (less than 3 miles) so I called and someone immediately picked up the phone. The greeter confirmed they were open and I was on my way shortly. This place is open on Christmas Day, it was extremely busy on Christmas Day. I'm not sure if it's normally that busy or if it's because they are open on a major holiday. The AI summary is accurate. The portions are huge and sharing is a good idea. I attempted to eat as much of the chow fun as I could. I couldn't even finish half of it before I asked for a box. The waiter unprompted offered me the hot sauce after seeing what arrived at my table. Maybe it's because I'm Asian. Turns out it's a tasty combination. The hot sauce looks like they made it themselves. It's not Sriracha, and it's not the thick chili sauce that some pho restaurants have. For how busy the restaurant was, eye contact isn't enough. Raising my hand was much more effective for when I wanted to check out and asked for a box. I have the feeling all the customers had a bit more patience for our food and service as we the customers collectively watched all the wait staff expeditiously work. I did feel like they could use some doors to better isolate the kitchen. I was seated near the kitchen and the spiciness of the air did sting my nose. They have a window so we could look into the kitchen. They have an industrial hood that I couldn't imagine get much bigger before it's the size of the entire kitchen.
We had such a wonderful experience at this Asian restaurant! The ambiance was super nice — warm lighting, beautiful decor, and a calm, welcoming atmosphere that made our meal feel special. The food was absolutely amazing. We tried the Singapore Mei Fun and the Chow Mein, and both dishes were bursting with flavor, perfectly cooked, and generously portioned. The service was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to again and again!
My boyfriend came here two weeks ago and called me while he was here because he wanted to tell me how great it was. We finally went together last night and it was amazing. The food was so tasty and portions are big! The service was incomparable and the atmosphere is so nice. They have football on the tvs and light relaxing music playing as well. They also have an amazing wine selection!! This is definitely going to be a new regular spot for us.
This place has a good first class set ups like plates, napkins, utensils, glass window kitchen and very nice servers. Food is good. Ordered the Korean bbq ribs, combination fried rice and Seafood combo on bird’s nest. Bird’s nest is good but they should have used a thin noodles. Seems like it’s a fried udon. Good rice roasted tea is not in a bag but on a strainer. I accidentally found while searching a restaurant in Folsom. This is a good higher level of asian restaurant clean and good food. Ordered a combo fried rice and Beijing pork on another day. Disappointed with the Beijing pork, too sour and only saw a few broccoli and either cauliflowers nor white greens was present as stated on recipe. The pork is tough and tasted old. Will not order this food anymore. On another day I ordered Happy Family, Thai eggplant with chicken(👎🏻) and combo fried rice (👍🏻)for togo. Also ordered hot & sour soup with jasmine tea for dine in. The food is ok, but I taste better happy family than this with brown sauce. The hot & sour soup was good.
This is the best Chinese food we've ever had. The fresh ingredients combined with their commitment to going light on the oil makes for very flavorful dishes that don't feel heavy. The portions are very large and the prices are fair.
My husband and I stopped by at Folsom Palace. We were both pleasantly surprised. Great food and customer service. 👌
The all workers have the best service attention the place is really clean theirs make me feeling in house and also I don't worry about how much I paid because is really yummy and quality food and service
Our waitress is very friendly. The entrées are beautifully plated. We ordered Hong Konh Style Bird's Nest and Singapore Rice Noodle.
We had a wonderful lunch here! The food was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Every dish was clearly made with care and quality ingredients. The restaurant itself is clean, stylish, and welcoming, with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great dining experience.
First time here and it did not disappoint! Beautiful ambience, and friendly service! Great food!! You won’t go wrong with want choice!!
Folsom palace is definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants in the entire greater Sacramento area. We got the BBQ pork buns, lo mien noodle, and Szechuan beef (pictured). They all tasted like homemade Chinese dishes, bursting with flavors from different regions of China. The dishes are huge and are meant to be shared with others so bring your appetite and 16 people. I was sad to discover that this place was not actually a palace, but it still looked nice inside. The staff were super friendly and were running around like crazy. They served us and the palace well. I didn’t realize they have three locations (palaces?), but this one was rated the highest. I’ll be back!
Folsom Palace has excellent food! Every fish we try is outstanding and rich in flavor. This is my new favorite for Chinese food, nothing else comes close. Will be back frequently, make sure to call ahead it is busy for a reason!
I attended my grandsons birthday dinner here. The food was very good and the people, fantastic! Thank you for a wonderful meal & service!

Real good asia pacific food. I ordered the shrimp dumplings, Thai basil beef, and Sichuan Mapo Tofu. Generous portions, I wanna eat more because it's so good but I gotta pack this for later because I'm stuffed. Ambience is great and service is prompt and friendly. Definitely coming here again.
Words hardly describe the amazing food, service and atmosphere. First time here and I WILL be returning. We tried to wonton soup, potstickers, chow mein and Sheshwan chicken (can't remember the full name) great level of taste and spice. I just can't express how happy my husband and I left and already planning to come back!
This place is a real nice to bring that someone special. The food is excellent quality and in ample amounts. Our server happened to be Genie. I compare all other simular types of food to this restaurant. Always pleased when I've eaten there.
1st time there. Food was one of the best I've had . Very good service and the acoustics were able to keep the noise under control and it was a full house. Definitely go back.
I dined here with my wife and toddler, and it was a great experience. My daughter is gluten free, and the staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We came around 5pm, it was very quiet but started to pick up as we were heading out. Food was good, ingredients seemed fresh. The food was slightly on the less flavorful side, although I believe that was due to sauce limitations since we ordered everything gluten free. Their house hot sauce fixed that up! Will definitely dine here again. (Also, price was very reasonable, about $60 for 3 large dinner dishes).

Great restaurant. Quality ingredients, beautifully prepared. The dishes are decently priced but be prepared to pay for accompaning items (white rice and hot tea).

Decided to try this place last minute and did did not disappoint! The customer service was awesome and the food even better. It is a little pricey but the portion are worth the price. Each plate has enough to feed 2-3 people. I highly recommend the lemon chicken if you are a fan of sweet and sour chicken. We will definitely go back.
This was my first visit to Folsom Palace, and overall it was a mixed experience. I went with my mother on a Friday night around 6:00 pm, which turned out to be an extremely busy time. In hindsight, that was probably not the best choice, as the restaurant was clearly operating at full capacity. The food was excellent and truly the highlight of the evening. We ordered the cashew chicken and honey walnut prawns, along with steamed rice, and everything was flavorful, well prepared, and deserving of five stars. We also had two glasses of Chardonnay and two sodas. Our total came to about $81, which felt a little high but the quality of the food is 5 stars. We told our waiter it was our first time visiting and he was very welcoming. Service was understandably impacted by how busy the restaurant was. I would rate it 2.5 stars. Toward the end of the meal, we ordered our second round of drinks, and while the staff was polite, we were asked to have our food boxed up and leave before we had finished our drinks so they could seat other guests. That part of the experience felt rushed and brought customer service down to about 2.5 stars. The atmosphere was nice, with attractive decor, and I would rate it around 4.5 stars. The main challenge is that the restaurant is small, and the tables are very close together, which becomes more noticeable during peak hours, Because of that I'd give it 2.5 stars. I wouldn't go there with a large group. Overall, Folsom Palace serves 5 star food, and I would definitely recommend it based on that. My suggestion would be to visit during an off-peak time for better customer service or consider takeout to fully enjoy the quality of their dishes without feeling rushed.

It was my first visit. I had date with my husband. The food was amazing, but the service was so terrible. We got a table. Ordered 22oz beer. The waitress brought us beer which was 19.2 Oz in the can. We said we don't want it because it says in your menu 22oz. He got so mad. We ordered the different one. He brought to the table, but served it like he showed to our faces. Later, we got our food which was delicious and the other waitress brought it. Our waitress never came and ask how is our food, or if we need something else. After we were done with our meal, the first one came and said, " You need to leave because others waiting for the table ". My husband said, " we are still enjoying our dinner " on what he said, " I will call to the cops". For what? Enjoying our dinner? What kind of atmosphere do u have, when your customers brining you money? So disappointed!!!
