Opinions de Aji Sushi College Station
The service was great. He was knowledgeable and pointed us in direction of some fantastic choices. We went on Sunday all day happy hour. So prices were great! Really great food. We had fun. Check this place out
I've been here several times now. Always great service, food, and prices! They've got a wide variety and I've enjoyed trying something new every time.
One of the best sushi places in town (and we have a LOT). Honestly, it's pretty reasonably priced and their fish quality is better than Yummyyummi's. no fr. I go here and order just plain tuna and sushi rolls for the taste, usually with some half crab balls and some gyoza. Best believe the plain fish rolls taste great. I love it.
One of the best places to get sushi! Great prices and the portions are huge! Very attentive staff whenever I go and always checking in if I need another drink or order another item! So many choices as well. Highly recommend the California roll!
I had the best salmon sashimi I've ever had in my life today at Aji Sushi. We decided to try Aji Sushi since we were nearby, and we saw that they had a gluten-free menu. It's a small restaurant that might be easy to miss if you're driving by, but I'm glad we found it online and decided to visit. Their gluten-free menu had much to offer. There are so many choices! And they have gluten-free soy sauce. Their gluten-free Philadelphia roll was one of the best I've ever had. My daughter and my boyfriend ordered regular menu items and said they were excellent, too. All the portion sizes were generous. Their prices are great, and they have happy hour from 10 am to 11 pm on weekdays. The three of us (adults) ate until full, and we spent just over $80. The restaurant was clean, didn't smell like fish, and had a relaxing atmosphere. The music was interesting. We heard a mix of classic rock (not loud) that included Judas Priest, Poison, AC/DC, and Guns N Roses, all music I remember from when I was a teenager. The service was excellent. The bathroom was clean (the ladies' room light was very dim when first turned on, but after a moment, it got much brighter). We absolutely love Aji Sushi, and we hope we can visit again soon. Update, visited again a month later: My family wanted to take me out for a birthday lunch, and I chose Aji Sushi. Twelve of us showed up without any warning on a saturday afternoon, and Aji Sushi was able to quickly and comfortably accommodate us. They arranged tables so we could sit together. The service was excellent. The food was wonderful and portions very generous. All twelve of us ate until very full for just over $300 (and several people took home leftovers). Thanks, Aji Sushi, for making it a great day! ♡
I had the nigiri flight, a simple Philadelphia roll and their tempura cheesecake and have nothing negative to say. I went with just me and my baby and my waitress was extremely friendly and attentive, the sushi came out almost immediately, everything was melt in your mouth delicious. If you like sushi, this is a good place for it. Will definitely come back! Update: so 2 years later I did come back! And it was just as delicious. I got the nigiri flight (again) and the red snapper roll along with one of their apps I can’t remember the name of. My friend also got some kind of fried spicy tuna roll. It was all gorgeous, came out quickly, and the staff was extremely friendly. Definitely a top spot for me.
Great place for date or studying alone! I was impressed the moment I entered the doors. The restaurant was clean, and much larger than I expected. Sophie was there to greet me with genuine hospitality. I was able to sit anywhere and she asked for my drink order right away. She was prepared to tell me items she recommended and clarify things on the menu. The soup I ordered was brought out to me immediately and food was not long after. I stayed and enjoyed the ambiance and loved every second as I studied. I will definitely be going again and Sophie is so sweet!
Great experience with our very efficient server Will. The crab balls are excellent value with 4 huge pieces (imitation crab but still tasty) for $5. Ahi tuna bowl is massive; easily lunch and dinner for a light eater. The teriyaki pork gets a 4/5 for me - too much sauce and a bit too salty. Overall, great value for reasonable Japanese-American cuisine. Total $31 with tax and tip for app and two entrees.
It has been a while since I last stepped foot in Aji due to travels. Stepping in was like coming home to a place of comfort. The people, the smells and the decor made me feel as if I had not been gone so long. The nigiri sushi is still outstanding even though a lot of students eat here ordering mostly maki rolls. I had the opportunity to have fresh Hawaiian tuna, white tuna, Hokkaido scallops and ama ebi as sashimi. These were outstanding and chefs Ryan, Shawn and Dennis did an amazing job in the presentation. I had the opportunity to try variations of their spicey tuna which very tasty and the presentation was artistic. A salmon sashimi plate with ponzu, avocado and traces of Parmesan cheese was a delightful surprise. Aji is one of the best sushi bars in the Brazos Valley for nigiri and sashimi. Great job Ryan, Michelle and crew.
Came here for a few times. We ordered a bunch of random sushi rolls that I can’t remember, both the Korean and Pork ramen. The menu has tons of options so I’m sure you’ll find something you’ll like. Overall, decently priced for pretty good sushi. It’s not the greatest, but it’s good. Staff are friendly and fast. Lots of dining and parking.
Staff was great and helpful. I'm not a sushi person but they had great other options. Our big group loved the sushi and was reasonably priced. Floor was oddly sticky but clean anyway. Bathroom could use an update, lights blinking. Would go again.
This place is lovely! I had such a great time. This little restaurant is doing really good at many things. Customer service was excellent. Christian was our server (kudos to him). Ordered a Bento box 🍱 it included: chicken teriyaki, edamame, salad, miso soup, California crab, and gyoza. 🥟 We also ordered California and a shrimp tempura roll. Really good! The ambiance of the restaurant is very chill and kinda stepping into dim and relax. Lots of cute Japanese decor all around. Also, the prices were very reasonable. I cannot wait to be back. Note to management: please consider revising the chicken you use in your bento box. It is not good quality. I would suggest trying a non-process, non-frozen chicken. I understand this might fit your pricing/ROI; However, less is more. Consider preparing your own chicken and if it means less quantity in the bento box, it will be fine with customers, given that their few pieces of chicken are tasty and fresh. This is a piece of advice (take it or leave it) but I just wanted to be as honest and transparent with my feedback. You are clearly doing many other things really good, let’s step into greatness. I hope nothing but the best!
Nice weeknight sushi date with a lower price point than 40 Tempura. Decent sushi rolls with fresh flavor. Out of the 4 rolls we got, the Tiger Roll would not stay together with chopsticks, but that could just be user error. Not bad. Loved the classic rock contributing to the overall relaxed atmosphere. Server was kind and checked in the exact right amount of times.
Food was good but service MEGA rushed. I’m not sure what happened. We ordered some sushi rolls, entrees and I ordered some sake but I also asked for the dessert menu. We were given our check halfway through our main meal with no time to order dessert. Please let us chill, drink a bit and have dessert. The longer we are there the better we tip (of course we still tip). We got no dessert which was sad but not a big deal. Maybe they were just nervous but it made my friend and I feel like they wanted us out.
Visiting from out of town and decided to pick up dinner. Had great service and a welcoming host. Ordered the Nagiri mix and the VIP roll. Most of the Nagiri was blow torched so much of it tasted the same. The vip roll was covered in mayo. Happy to see the staff wearing masks properly. Not a big fan of the Nagiri I got, but happy with the service.
Ate here 2 months ago, and it was good for the price. I got the same 2 things for takeout (California and salmon skin roll), and they tasted like the fish had been left out all week on a Wednesday. It tasted vile, like what you’d picture mercury tasting in fish. The salmon skin was just oily with no flavor, and the crab tasted old with mayo to cover it up. I barfed in my mouth, and I usually love sushi. Both had a bad aftertaste that could only be fixed with pickled okra. I act nice to the servers, but they have always had a bad attitude. Sitting down also took awhile to get our meal despite there being only a few people there and barely any takeout orders. Go to sushi masa instead.
