Have been coming here consistently for about 2 years. Always my go to option when I don’t know what to eat. The chef is very passionate and releases new dishes almost every month. Almost every dish is delicious and fun. I’ve brought friends and family to this place and everyone fell in love immediately. I’ve never had anything not great from here. The price and proportion is also fantastic. Very down to earth and comforting. The waitresses are also super helpful and friendly. 超级好吃!咸蛋黄豆苗非常鲜嫩。霸王香辣肘子也麻辣爽口。非常推荐!
Amazing authentic Chinese food! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The dishes were bold, spicy (in the best way), and tasted very authentic. You can really tell the ingredients are fresh and the food is cooked with care. The chili dishes were especially outstanding — fragrant, spicy, and perfectly balanced. Portions were generous, great for sharing, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. Service was friendly and efficient, and the overall atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. This is definitely a place I’d come back to again, especially when craving real Chinese flavors. Highly recommend!
FOOD food is great. my personal favorite is the stinky tofu/臭豆腐. good price for the food. the lamb skewers were also good— i found that the ones near the top were more flavorful than the ones near the bottom. the glutinous rice balls/酒酿 was also very enjoyable. its a pretty big serving so it could be a post meal dessert for everyone to share SERVICE service is good. workers are very nice. dishes were served after maybe 15-20mins. they also offer takeout/外卖 through hungrypanda ATMOSPHERE not extremely busy since a lot of people order takeout. only one bathroom stall and parking is pretty limited.
We randomly discovered and decided to give it a try, and it turned out to be very great! We ordered frogs and ducks, and some vege. All of them taste very good! The atmosphere is also great
I walked in and was immediately greeted by the friendly service staff. I sat down and was instructed to scan the QR code. I ordered the combo fried rice and stir-fried beef with onions. I was offered a complimentary bowl of delicious soup that included beef and daikon. The food was promptly delivered, hot and fresh. The portions were large enough for a generous portion to eat tomorrow (there is more than enough food for two people). There was familiar music playing to create a sense of familiarity and home-like atmosphere. I will be back!
Really enjoyed the crystal vermicelli, super tasty! The grilled fish was a bit under seasoned at first, but the staff adjusted it right away and it turned out great. Overall very satisfied. Would come back!
We ordered the Stinky Tofu, Braised Pork Ribs with Dried Green Beans, Deep Fried Crispy Fish, Snow Pea Leaves with Salted Eggs, and Fish with Sour Vegetables. Every dish was on point and authentic. We will definitely be returning (and bringing our parents)!!
Authentic Sichuan food with bold flavors! The menu has a great variety, from classic Sichuan staples to more adventurous options, so there’s something for everyone. Service was friendly and efficient, and the staff was happy to give recommendations. If you’re craving authentic Sichuan food, this is definitely a spot worth coming back to. Highly recommended!
The food here is amazing—specifically the Stinky Tofu (which ate too quickly forgot to capture the photo), which I would definitely order again. The service was great as well. Glad to discover this restaurant.
Highly recommend this place! Every dish is packed with flavor, served hot, and made with quality ingredients. The beef and tofu dish is rich and comforting, and the fried peper pork is crispy and flavorful. One of my favorite spots
Authentic traditional Hunan cuisine with bold, aromatic flavors and well-balanced spice. Fresh ingredients and satisfying dishes—great for anyone who loves real Hunan food. also have non-spice food for kids. overall, it's a nice restaurant.
My top Hunan restaurant in the Bay Area. Food taste was great and the thy are very generous about the portion size. Highly recommend!
My friend brought me here and I like this restaurant pretty much! Food is very authentic. My favorite is the lamb. The lamb meat is better than all Chinese restaurants I have tried back in Columbus, OH.
The food here is very flavorful, and the staff is very nice. Highly recommend!
Great Chinese sichuan and hunan chill food! Very traditional and delicious
Really good food overall, and the stinky tofu was my favorite. Crispy, flavorful, and not greasy at all. Would definitely come back just for that!
Compared to the many copy-paste Sichuan/Hunan menus in the Bay Area, this restaurant truly stands out. It’s become our go-to spot for Hunan food — like a home kitchen away from home! The owner is skilled, and every dish tastes like it’s made with heart. Besides the spicy Hunan staples, the homestyle dishes are also delicious and kid-friendly. Portions are generous, and everything goes perfectly with rice. Highly recommend the stir-fry dishes – the pork, liver, and beef tongue stir-fries are all excellent. My personal favorites are the stinky tofu, sour long beans, and braised intestines – rich in flavor, spicy, sour, and totally addictive! The yellow croaker with preserved vegetables is very special and flavorful, and the beer duck is tender and richly seasoned. Don’t miss the winter melon pork rib soup – big portion, comforting flavor, and perfect for little kids too. My baby loves mixing it with rice! Service here is also exceptional – the staff are friendly, attentive, and responsive. The owner is always welcoming, open to feedback, and clearly passionate about the food. The place recently got renovated, and it’s now brighter and more comfortable. A hidden gem for homestyle Hunan food – warm, flavorful, and worth returning to again and again!

Very yammy authentic Chinese food! Amazing food and great vibes! Delicious Hunan food! Every dish was fresh, spicy, and authentic. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. A solid 5-star experience for anyone who loves bold Chinese flavors.

Grandma Kitchen is so good! The braised noodles with green beans were super flavorful and comforting. The sliced chicken with sun-dried peppers had a great aroma and just the right amount of heat. I also really liked the cold mixed lettuce stem, very fresh and fragrant. The bamboo shoots with shredded pork were delicious as well, nice texture and well seasoned. Everything tasted very home-style and satisfying. Definitely a place I’d come back to!
We recently visited Grandma's Kitchen for lunch and the experience was satisfying. Food we ordered all taste good. The spicy level is acceptable for us. The crispy ribs were perfectly seasoned and fell off the bone. The service was also welcoming and great.

Every dish came out bold and unapologetic, packed with heat, aroma, and serious wok power. The stir-fried meats were tender and deeply savory, balanced by crisp vegetables that still had life in them. Spices weren’t just added for heat—they built layers, leaving a lingering, addictive finish that kept pulling me back for another bite. Nothing felt fancy or overworked. It was honest, high-energy cooking meant to be shared, argued over, and eaten fast while it’s still steaming. The kind of food that doesn’t whisper flavors—it speaks loudly and confidently. Come hungry. Leave satisfied.

It was the first time trying a new Chinese restaurant in the area but since it had high ratings on Yelp we decided to have lunch here. We only ordered 2 dishes, the eggplant/potato/green beans and salt and pepper fish. The positives were that it was clean and the employees were friendly and wore masks but the food was not to our liking. There was way too much cumin in the vegetable dish and it overpowered the natural flavor of everything. That was the first time I’ve had eggplant this way and prefer it just to be garlic chili sauce or just garlic is good as well. The fish was almost non existent and mostly was fried batter. Very overly fried to the point that whatever fish there was became fish jerky. Very minimal actual pieces of fish and they marinate it in some kind of sweet egg batter which was strange. Home eats is much better for Chinese food. Not a fan so we won’t be returning
