This restaurant has been blowing up on my social media feed and I have to try out this place. Basically, it’s a Thai restaurant serving breakfast and brunch as well as other items. Unfortunately, it’s too hectic for me to go on a weekend because of tight crowds especially on mornings, which is why I went on Monday. There is a “Complete Parties Only” sign, which most likely means that they’re trying to fill up every table. In other words, you might need to sit with other people. I heard that a few people had to sit with others. Thankfully, that policy wasn’t enforced since I came on a weekday and that I had the table to myself. The place really looks elegant and nice with comfort music playing. It’s quite rare for restaurants to be like this especially when it isn’t fine dining. It’s like the staff was really taking good care of it. Honestly, many restaurants should be like this. Also, there is a long table, which is used mostly for multiple parties to sit together. Food is pretty much superb here! I’m a big fan of pancakes and sometimes with matcha. So I gotta try the Matcha Pancakes. Very delicious and delicate especially when it’s topped with fruits. The matcha sauce actually adds a kick into it adding rich flavor into the pancakes. Sometimes, I dunk pancakes into the matcha sauce. Thai iced coffee is good too! Really wakes me up a bit in the morning! I’ve seen plenty of delicious items from the menu as well as their pics from online, and would love to come back again to try more! Also, I suggest going on a weekday if possible. If not, you’ll have to endure longer wait times during the weekends due to packed crowds.

Finding unique breakfast menu is a game I like to play. This hit the mark. We were a table of 8, and most everyone tried a different dish. Everyone loved their dish, except the breakfast sandwich/burger. That sure looked good, but they felt it was too ordinary. I think it was because they asked for no sauce. I ordered golden pork because of Brussels sprouts and potatoes. The pork flavor was amazing. The pieces were crispy enough for me. since I was a bit afraid they might be soft and stewed. I tried someone else’s Thai chicken:💯 soooo yummy. We also shared yummy matcha pancakes. The drunken noodles, jook, and seafood stew were big hits as well. Be aware…it takes awhile to get your food. The presentations were lovely. The portions generous. Servers were very friendly. I would go here again in a heartbeat. I appreciated the drink menu too which includes fresh coconuts and several fun cocktails. Several people also commented on the pleasant decor. It’s a bummer they do not take reservations in the weekend mornings. It deserves the Michelin recognition. I want to go back again, but it will have to wait for our next SF trip.

Been meaning to try their brunch menu. When someone suggested we try something different , I immediately suggested this location. First of all, like it was meant to be, we found parking almost right in front of the restaurant. We ordered: Pork Belly porridge, classic egg Benedict, very berry pan cake, 2 eggs and sausage, French toast, curry pasta, and scrambled egg. To drink: Thai coffee, Thai tea and very berry mojito. Food was very good except the pan cake was a little bit sweet for my taste but it was nice and fluffy. The very berry mojito was good. Not enough liquor but hey, maybe it’s still early. :). We definitely would come back but would like to try dinner. Update: 10/14/2025 We had to come and try their dinner. It was amazing. Their food and their service. We ordered: Chicken Wing and Samosas to start. Then we ordered: seafood tom yum soup, pad Thai chicken, pineapple fried rice, pa ram tofu, lazy herbal beef and papaya salad combo. Everything was good except for the rice that came with the lazy herbal beef. Just a bit too spicy for me otherwise everything was amazing and I would definitely come back.

Kan Kiin is a fantastic pick for thoughtfully crafted Thai cuisine. 🇹🇭✨ Their curry dishes are amazing—rich, fragrant, and beautifully balanced with spice and sweetness. 🍛 The appetizers feel Michelin-level, especially the Thai sausage, which is packed with bold, complex flavors and a perfect snap. 🌶️🥢 With its creative dishes and refined execution, Kan Kiin is a must-try for Thai food lovers. 😋🌟

Came here for brunch. The corn fritters seemed like a good appetizer and was very crunchy. For the entree I decided to try the Jok crispy pork belly porridge and my wife got the golden pork. The Jok was good. The Tom yum was there to provide the sour and savory flavor to an otherwise bland dish. It was a cute little spot.

Kan kin has a fusion-ish brunch and authentic Thai entrees for dinner only, on the weekends Had both and I actually enjoyed the brunch option more The green curry linguine was excellent. Very nice green curry with the perfect balance amount of coconut milk(not too watery not too thick) and perfectly aldente pasta. The corn fritters were ok. Tasty but mostly because they were deep fried. The hat yai chicken was very crispy and mildly spicy and came with American fried rice. The chicken was not overly breaded and the crunch was 👌 I also got the steak and basil fried rice. This was a glorious steak, at a 40$ price point and the fried rice was amazing. I asked for medium on the steak and I think it was spot on Thai yellow curry was very good. Not too many potatoes as you sometimes see with a yellow curry. The veggie drunken noodles were great, tangy, spicy and not too sweet. The curry puffs were crisp and potato filling was nicely spiced.

Best Thai in Bay Area, flavors are bold and delicious. Highlights included the Musaman Curry with beef. We didn't have reservations but was able to dine at opening time. We will definitely reserve next time and also try the brunch.

Located in Daly City, always packed and full! The interior is so cute. Street parking only. Service was impeccable and friendly. Unfortunately too many people know about this place and sometimes waits are long, but once you experience their food, you will be a regular. We ordered few dishes to try out and the food is excellent. The foods are visually beautiful, filling and delicious. I appreciate a server who does a great job, and our server Bam handled our table of four adults and two babies with a perfect display of relaxed competence. Well done! I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant 10/10 ✨

Ok well let me start off by saying, pictures will not do this place justice, nor will talking about it. You need to experience it for yourself. As someone who travels often looking for places to eat this place does not miss! I ordered 2 different plates and a drink and all i can say is, Delicious! 1st plate was a pork belly with over easy egg, artichoke, and potatoes wedges. Pork belly was melting in my mouth at how good it was! The egg on top made runny was perfect with the artichoke because it literally had me in a chokehold(in a good way) lol... (and mind you, im not big on artichoke) the sauce from the pork belly and runny egg was good for the wedges and 😩 my goodness. I can speak only good of the next plate. The second plate i ordered was a chicken and waffle plate, and when I tell you it was good, I mean it. The chicken was tender, juicy, crispy on the outside, and flavorful. I decided to pour the honey over both the chicken. And the waffle and I'm glad I did! Just made it that much better. The fruit around the plate was all crisp, sweet, and very meticulously placed around the platter. Not one sour blueberry or badly flavored orange. To top it all off my drink order was a lavender lemonade, and mind you the chicken and waffle was sweet so you would think to yourself, I won't be able to taste the lemonade after eating something sweet? WRONG. the drink is very beautifully made and tastes just as wonderful. If there's one thing I could think of in terms of improvement it would probably be the lavender in the lemonade wasn't strong, but aside from that I had no problem drinking it nor eating anything on my plates. I will definitely make sure to come back with friends.

Ordered the jok pork belly porridge, Hat Yai fried chicken and waffles, and Brussels sprouts and fries. The Brussels sprouts was a good choice with the pesto sauce and I kept dipping into the sauce with the crispy fries. The porridge was tasty and filled with a good portion of crispy pork belly. Egg was soft boiled and was very good. Ginger had a good presence in this dish. Porridge is very filling and came with the Chinese donut. The fried chicken wasn't bad and was a big portion. The waffle wasn't soggy. Came with alot of fruit. Overall, the food is good and will.come back and try other dishes. Beware, it can get crowded here.

This was such a great experience and their dinner was really good. They had a beautiful ambiance that represented nature and all the food is delightfully plated. I especially liked the tom yum soup, which was loaded with seafood, mushrooms, and a mix of flavorful spices. Looking forward to coming back for brunch.

I’ve been to KAN KIIN before, and I’m back to give an updated review This time everything felt even better from the flavors to the presentation and service. The staff was super friendly, and even though it was busy, the food came out pretty fast and everything was well organized. We ordered Tomyum porridge, Bkk golden and Crab lover scramble and the flavors were bold and really well balanced. I love how they blend Thai flavors into brunch dishes. It’s unique but still very approachable. Definitely not your typical brunch spot. The vibe is lively and fun, especially on weekends. If you want to avoid a long wait, I’d suggest coming right when they open. Overall, still one of my favorite brunch spots in Daly City. I’ll definitely be back

Kan Kiin Brunch & Thai Eatery is truly a hidden gem in Daly City. I’ve been back three or four times already, and it’s consistently a great experience. The space is beautifully designed with a strong sense of atmosphere—warm, stylish, and perfect for gathering with friends or family. The service is always friendly and welcoming. That said, when it gets busy, food can take a bit longer to come out, so it’s best to come with a relaxed mindset and enjoy the vibe. My experience so far is based on dinner only (I haven’t tried their brunch menu yet), and there are several standout dishes I highly recommend: • Seafood Tom Yum Soup Hot Pot (highly recommended): Perfect for sharing among 3–4 people. Rich and creamy with strong coconut notes, balanced by tomato and lime acidity, and packed with fresh seafood. This is an absolute must-order. • Fresh Crab Fried Rice (Chef’s Special): Beautifully presented in a large coconut shell, very generous portion, and loaded with crab meat. Both visually impressive and delicious. • Spicy Catfish Clay Pot: The fish is very tender and pairs perfectly with rice—comforting and satisfying. Some dishes were less memorable: • Roti with Massaman Curry Beef Chuck was just okay—the sauce leaned quite heavy and sweet. • Lazy Herbal Beef had tougher beef, and the sauce mixed into the rice was a bit too salty for my taste. Their mocktails are also very good, refreshing and well-balanced. Overall, Kan Kiin is a place I strongly recommend. Flavor preferences may vary, but it’s definitely on the bolder, heavier side, so those who prefer lighter or more delicate flavors may want to order carefully. Still, it’s a standout spot in Daly City and absolutely worth a visit.

It’s Thai fusion cuisine! We had the crab fried rice, catfish claypot, the beef flat noodles, the green curry, pai Thai noodles - all were very good! I especially love the cat fish clay pot! It’s dynamite! Even though it comes in a big dish - you can easily share it like family style ! The atmosphere is casual ! If you want to bring a cake or your own sweets- please bring your own knifes and paper plates or they will charge you $2.50 a person to borrow the plates and cutleries! Which sucks!

Great brunch spot if you don’t mind the wait and the hassle of parking other than that it’s a must! Matcha pancakes are amazing and their Pork Belly and Crab Benedict are also a must if you don’t want anything sweet. The presentation of the food is also eye pleasing and definitely matches the flavor. I can say the same thing for their drinks plus they also have cocktails to spice up your weekend or week day. The service was good and I get it could get hectic at times and hopefully they hire more staff to make it a more efficient. Other than that you must check it out if you have the chance.

Wings were crispy and juicy, French toast with two way banana was decadent but not too heavy. Wish the Bangkok gold was a little less sweet but the seafood protein was generous!

Nice place to eat for a quick brunch. I like the food and ambience. They also serve fast and the service is good too. For a total of 5, we spent around $120. We shared food and were so full. We liked everything except for the Hat Yai, waffle is not that good. Had a hard time parking but it’s manageable around 12-1pm

Extremely cute place and we will come back to try some more things. The congee pork porridge was our favorite, absolutely delicious. Reallt amazing texture and subtle flavors mixed through with big bites of shitaki and crispy pork bits. We tried the crab cake and crispy pork Benedicts as well but both me and my husband thought both were just solid good, not amazing. The corn fritter on the crab cake felt a bit chewy and the pork belly on the other was just too big and hard for the Benedict format. The hollandaise sauce was a bit weak so it felt like it was lacking acid and punch. That said we saw many many things on the menu we're excited to try and will definitely come back to give it another go! Could be a solid 5 if we find a few more things we like more but the Benedicts will all be a no for us.

Cute restaurant and very Instagram picture worthy food. Nice portion, don’t order more than 1 dish per person. Taste? Barely there. Chicken was also very very dry. Food is almost made just purely for photos. We went during lunch and my impression is basically classic American breakfast/brunch items sprinkled with Thai basil and garlic on them. Matcha items are nice tho, maybe rebrand to a Japanese restaurant is more appropriate 🙂

2 out of 4 items are disappointing. We ordered yellow curry with chicken that comes with white rice. - Chicken was overcooked & tough to chew. - White rice is hard, perhaps cooked with less water. I have not tasted such hard Jasmine rice from Thailand. We also have delicious Seafood Tom Yum Soup & Fried Corn Fritters. We wanted to like this Thai Restaurant, which is close to our home, but the basic Thai food is disappointing. The servers are nice.

We went during brunch and did not enjoy our meals at Kan Kinn at all The dishes that we ordered: 1. The tuna tartare The sauce was good except for the fact that the tuna pieces was still FROZEN 2. The Jok Pork Belly Super bland 3. Roti fried banana split The fried banana was not good. Super sweet in not a good way. The roti was placed on the bottom so it soaks up all the ice cream which ended up being super soggy
