Great homemade burger, tater tots and shake.

My wife and I were looking for a burger place nearby and came across Hav-R Charburger. The service was 5 star, and the food was 5 star as well. We met the husband Jordan of this husband and wife business and his personality was also 5 star.

Long wait was worth the wait! My philly was fire. Not many fries, but the sub made up for it with all the extra veggies. My first time coming and I'll be back!

Good juicy well-cooked burger and crispy onion rings even after several minutes of being in the takeout bag (which is not always a given). A very friendly gentleman took my order. 7-8 minutes later, he let me know that my order was almost ready. Meaning that everything was freshly cooked to order. Excellent customer service leading to an overall very good experience. Will be back!

I hadn’t been here in awhile because the last time I was here some months back, I was less than pleased with the seasoning and taste of my burger. I wanted to give it another chance because this is a small business that has been around since I was a child/teenager. Not sure if the cook or ownership changed but it was a complete 180 from the last time I was here! The burgers were seasoned SO well and just overall very delicious. The fries were also seasoned so well and tasty. My picky 5-year-old ate every piece of his Junior burger and fries. I got full, but I wanted to finish all of my Swiss mushroom burger and tater tots. SO good! So good to have the taste I know this place for back!

You’d be hard pressed to find a place with a burger as good as Hav-R provides. I love burgers so I’m a pretty hard critic, and this place surpassed what I consider a good cheeseburger. I don’t live around here, but rest assured if I’m near I’ll be back again. I was treated like family here. Couldn’t recommend it more.

Brimming with style and character, mixing bits of classic diner with some retro 80's/90's. Lots of Classic Coca Cola Memorabilia on the walls alongside a neat mural and arcade cabinets. Ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger with Fries, while the bun could have maybe been better the burger overall was great and the fries were hot and so well-seasoned I didn't bother with ketchup. I've come here a few times and will do so again for sure. Highly recommended lunch spot for anyone in the Cedar Hill/Duncanville area.

I grew up around the corner from this place. Me and my sister stopped in and had burgers yesterday. It is likely the best burger I've had in 30+ years. So much nostalgia, same name for 40+ years, same location. The char, the toppings, the mustard, the bun, every aspect of the burger was prepared to essentially perfection.

I’ve been living in the area almost 8 years and just recently decided to try this hidden gem in January at the suggestion of a friend. Listen, when I tell you each time I come back the food & service are ON POINT! I’ve only gotten burgers so far, but the Philly is on my list! The owner is super cool & friendly as well as the other employees. They are a small business and food is made fresh to order so please keep that in mind and be patient while waiting. I promise it’s worth it!

Stopped at this gem passing through the area. It's hidden, but definitely look for it. The burgers are amazing, I loved the bread and butter pickles instead of dill. The onion rings were great and the powdered sugar on the sweet potato fries was a welcome change from the norm. I love the old arcade setup and 50s style diner booths. Owners were super nice and understood when we changed our order to go last minute due to a fussy kid. Absolutely recommend and we'll definitely be returning.

I used to come here when I lived in duncanville, I had forgotten how good the burgers are here, about 2 weeks ago I was working around here I passed by and stopped and I ordered a cheeseburger and it was delicious, I live in Oak Cliff and I drove all the way over here to eat this burger again, and again it didn't disappoint. I will keep coming here

I have been coming here for more then 20 years. They have some great hamburgers and cheeseburgers but so much more then that. I love the catfish. Fried pickles. It's all good. Derive is always fast and friendly. It's a little out of the way but so worth it. Did I mention blue bell ice cream.

Jalapeno ranch burger was excellent, fries were hot, and the owner was friendly. I waited a while but there was a big party so it was understandable. It appeared to be popular, and the food and atmosphere are definitely the reason.

Came here after my wife said I want a charburger, well this place satified her need. We had the Jalapeno Ranch and Chipotle Ranch. Great size. Great taste. Homemade patties versus store bought. My jalapeno ranch could have had more ranch and my partners could have had more chipotle on his sauce. Not too salty fries they were perfect. Total for both combos was $31. They have bluebell ice cream. Cleanliness is 3/5.

Came in for a lunch break and ordered 2 burgers, the patty melt with fries and the mushroom swiss with tots. Both were phenomenal! Perfectly seasoned and just mouthwatering. Came with drinks and the service was everything you could ask for for. Finished off with some ice cream, you couldn’t ask for a better lunch date spot. Jordan and his wife will not disappoint it's funny I met a lady there last night and tonight she was there again turns out last night was the first time either one of us had eaten there and it's funny we both came back so far the Burgers, Chicken Strips,Fried Fish and Philly cheesesteak are OMG absolutely delicious.

My wife has been going here off and on over the last 10+ years, and she introduced me to it a few years back. We stopped by not knowing this place had been closed at all to find it being remodeled a few months back after Jordan bought the place, again not knowing the story until yesterday. The remodel is amazing. It reminds me of growing up in the 90s. The food is just as fresh and great as I remember it, aside from cosmetic improvements it has been left alone in regards to food and feel. I hope everyone can stop off here and try the food. It got very busy as we were leaving after 5, so not sure why anyone would close this amazing place but super stoked about the new owners.

This burger place came with high recommendations. The burgers were very good! I recommend the tots over fries, but they may have been a bit over done. Because we ate in we got served soda. No water option? Careful, the tot substitute will cost an extra $.99, credit card another 3.25%. Soda cans are $1.89 each. 3 single burger meals + 1 double burger meal (with tots)+ 4 cans of soda. $57.42 I wish I could afford another visit, it’s just off the budget.

This is a good restaurant with great burgets and fries. The burger was bigger than I thought that it was,medium sized with pickes and lettuce. It was a juicy burger packed with flavor and packaged with care. The dessert was underwhelming, not a fan of the funnel cakes. This could be because I am from New Orleans so I am spoiled with that but it was very dense in flavor. Despite the dessert, I do plan on trying out other desserts and other menu items.

I have lived in the area for some time. I wanted to find a good mom and pops burger spot. So I found this place. I went in.. young lady at the register was very nice and knowledgeable. There were two cooks who were nice as well. Instead of getting a burger, I got the steak and cheese sandwich. Unfortunately, it tasted as if they used gyro meat as a substitute or the beef had more fillers than beef. Honestly, I believe it was gyro meat.. along with too many veggies and not enough cheese. I won't get this anymore but will give them a try with a burger.

We tried to order on line which was an option but never got a confirmation. Went up there and was told the tablet they received orders on wasn’t working so we ordered at that time. They were out of shrimp and fried okra. So we got fish and fries instead. Five other people came in after and all orders were taken for those people as well but no one was cooking. Only one person was working at that point. We were told 10-15 minute wait. 30 minutes later, no food and when we asked how much longer we were told to calm down! When we mentioned the online ordering situation we were told it wasn’t their fault it wasn’t working. All in all we waited 45 minutes for our food. We checked to make sure the order was right and we were missing an order of fries and the Texas toast. We were brought the fries and told we could wait while they made the Texas toast. We didn’t wait! Not a good experience at all. The customer service was horrible but I will say the food was good.

Not bad, good bang for your buck. Food took maybe 10 mins to come out, burger was good, nothing to write home about but it was dripping juices from the jalapeños and cheese and well cooked. Philly cheese was descent, half way through it started to taste like frozen meat that wasn’t cooked long enough,also could have been more meat it was mostly bread. fries were crispy and good with ranch. The most disappointing was the funnel cake, it was good but there was a major lacking of powdered sugar. It was basically bare, and the strawberries were clearly from a can with the gray tint to them, would have been much better if covered in powdered sugar & not just fry bread. fresh strawberries would help a lot too. Another problem I found was the menu was almost non existent, they have a small chalkboard with simple list of items but no descriptions or add on options or variety of what they have. For example it says funnel cake but doesn’t mention anything that could be added to it. They could definitely up their sales with a detailed menu of options and such.

Closed at noon on a Friday afternoon despite the “open” with being on and the hours on the front door saying they should be open.

Ordered online. It was $5 for a "large" fry and I also ordered a "small" tot. When I picked up my order, they were the same size. Being such small portions, I assumed we got the wrong size of fry. When I went back in, the lady seemed annoyed and told me there was only 1 size. So why are there more options online ? $5 for an amount of fries that I can fit in the palm of my hand is absurd. On top of that, I arrived as my order was being bagged, I live 3 minutes away, and our burger buns were mushy and falling apart by the time we got home. It was the first and last time I will go there.

This rating is mostly on the service provided by cashier. We have eaten here before and the food is great BUT don’t come at closing they close at 9 but don’t take any orders past 8:45. They also start to close off part of the restaurant with these wet floor signs so no one will eat in. I had placed an order before cut off and when I decided to add to my order she simply said “sorry we don’t take any more orders.” I was adding more to my order many placed want you to spend more while you are there. Not sure what they are thinking management needs to rethink their approach.

Now it’s 1 Star. The owner down below want to front. That was yo restaurant! If you zoom in on the pic, I have the same receipt they give you after you pay for their food. Tried the burger 𝗰𝗼𝗺bo. Two stars for flavor of meat. Pretty good flavor Fries were old and tasteless. For $10 plus you can do better. 5 stars is only for a place that has EVERYTHING prepared for the delights of your taste buds. Update the burger left a really bad taste in my mouth and I can’t get it out. Yuck!

This place is a rip off. I went in and ordered a kids meal. The kids meal was almost 10 dollars for a kids cheese burger and fries. When I asked about my drink I was told "oh the kids meal doesn't come with a drink" I showed her the menu where is shows a drink fine with it and what meal doesn't come with a drink. She went back and forth about how the owner said it's not part of the meal. As im getting my food 2 uber drivers pull up with drinks because they had ran out. So basically they ran out of drinks so they took my money and lied and said it didn't come with a drink instead of just being honest or comping my charge.

I found this place using Google search. The pics looked really good. It seemed like a hole in the wall kinda find. When we arrived it was buzzing. The place was full. Orders were flying. As we waited I noticed burgers coming out and they didn't look like the pics. I still kept hoping for the best. Then after a 20 minute wait our order arrived. My burger was so burnt I could barely eat it. The fries were so few and very dry. I'm not really sure how you can mess up something so basic and simple. It was a huge disappointment and I definitely left hungry! I wouldn't go back. It just didn't seem like the service or food would change. Not really sure why there were so many people there. Every thing else looked over cooked as well. Very strange experience.

I paid 17 dollars for this meal and a shake. My first couple of bites were immaculate. I saw the lights of Philly and when i tasted the meat. However I kept eating and realized that something tasted stale. The bread was stale. I was so disappointed because it looked so good and i was just so hungry i stopped by and gave this place a chance. It took almost 20 minutes for me to receive my order. Overall, these guys are cutting corners and it’s sad because it’s a great product, just seems that laziness is taking over. I would NOT recommend anyone eat here until they can get their priorities straight. Shake was good.

What can I say besides I would not recommend. Easy parking. You order food at front counter, there were no signs. Ordered the food and it took a real long time to make 2 burgers. We sat and waited 20 min. They had a fountain machine with RC soda, that is old school. The burgers came and they were burnt, cooked well done. Wife could not even eat hers. French fries what little the gave you tasted like frozen fries you cook in your oven. One would be soggy, the next dry and hard and another might be ok. Asked and had to get up to get extra condiments. Overall would not recommend because the service and the food was not that good.
