The food was very good , portion size awesome. Some menu selection could use a description ie: the Transit... My friends and I meet monthly during these crazy times and ike to support local businesses. The only thing i would suggest is the option to the online ordering would be to order ahead , meaning being able to change the date and time. It was difficult for 2 friends to order 30 minutes before because they work in a hospital. I ordered for them. Perhaps they would have tipped better. 😁
Awsome food patio and service. I'm so glad that they are starting to get busy. The burgers are so much better than across the street. I have been going there for about five years and never had a bad meal. I could never understand why no one would have given it a try. The patio seems to be a big crowed pleaser. Good luck to who owns The Rock Kitchen And Bar it looks very promising.
Went for a girls dinner. We laughed, had delicious drinks and yummy food. Made for a great night out that we had very much needed.
The only thing we didn't like was that they wouldn't give us separate checks. There were only 3 of us.
A neighborhood favorite. Had a table outside on a patio in back. Good atmosphere and they had sports on a wide screen. Enjoyed it with friends. The food was great. The most reasonable cost for 1/2 lb. cheeseburger. Sweet potato fries. Very tasty. The wait for the food was not long. I highly recommend it.
A go to place for us. The service is always on point and never had a bad meal. Love the patio and attentive staff. Always greeted with a smile. Great food and menu selection.
Excellent place to watch a Bills game, great service and great food. 2 large TV’s on the patio. Our waitress was so attentive and awesome. We will definitely be back. Go Bills!
Have been here a couple times. The Seafood bisque is incredible and unlike most places, theirs actually is filled with meat, not just broth. They have one of the best beef on wecks in town. The beef wasn't over cooked or dried out at all and the roll was perfect. If you're looking for somewhere to get a good meal without being packed into a small room waiting for a table, i would definitely come here for dinner! Can't recommend it enough.
The Grilled Peach and Blueberry Salad was outstanding, honestly my new favorite salad. The Southern Comfort Manhattans are top notch, and our waitress, Rebekah, was super friendly, knowledgeable, and very attentive. Tonight was my first visit, and it certainly won’t be the last.
The food and service were really good. We tried the burgers, and it was the perfect choice 😀
At first glance it will appear as a fixed up hole-in- the-wall. However, once inside you'll find friendly, attentive servers with very good quality pub fare at very reasonable prices. Only a few taps but usually one you'll like. There is an awesome deck on the back half fully covered. Great for dining out in the warmer months or stargazing with your love and a nice cocktail. Rumor has it the deck is getting bigger soon. Lastly, if you choose to have a cocktail at the bar and there is always a different and eclectic crowd and the conversation eventually will involve the entire bar group including the bartender. This place doesn't open until 3 except on Sunday for brunch with unlimited mamosa or bloody Marys. Give it a try and get off the beaten path for a moment!
The Rock Kitchen & Bar is the new name of what formerly used to be rock bottom on Transit Road in the Clarence area. It seems that the new owners finally made a deal with the old owners and have started making many improvements. They have added to the back of the building a gorgeous deck with 13 tables for your eating pleasure. They also have two large screen flat tvs out there I assume for people to watch sports. I ate there yesterday and again today with my wife and was pleased with the food. Today they were very busy and understaffed so that was a long wait but it turned out being worth it. Give the Rock a try.
High praises to this place. My family and I came here for the first time and we were SOO impressed. The service was beyond amazing, the food was just as amazing. And the manager is so great. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to anyone.
We sat out on the patio. Our server was friendly and efficient. I had the wedge salad which was delicious. My husband ordered the boom boom (?) shrimp tacos with the fries. The fries were amazing, he said the tacos were very good. Definitely recommend.
Had our 3rd visit here last week and it was excellent! Our server was a very friendly young lady who was attentive and accurate. The food was awesome-- my Buffalo chicken wrap was perfect and the sauted spinach was delicious. The atmosphere is really cool too-- every room is unique and it isn't too loud to have a conversation. One of the best restaurants in Buffalo!
The Rock is one of my local favorites. The patio is great and the year round use is great in the dead of winter. Good selection of different pub favorites as well as all the Buffalo fare. The early bird fish fry special is great. Original and interesting salads. Excellent desserts. The beer selections on tap are limited but have good variety. Service is amongst the best of the local restaurants. Super attentive, quick and mobile checkout is also well done. They show what can be done in the restaurant business even during tough times if you are dedicated to doing a good job and have an organized staff.
The good was awesome and our waitress was fantastic! The cool thing is that the restaurant is a house and we had the dinning room in the house and it only fit a big table which was ours! It was really cool walking down halls and through the different rooms to go to your table. I highly recommend and when we are in the area, we will definitely go back!
This restaurant is small but also quaint and cozy with lots of warmth in their winterized outdoor space. The service was quick, efficient, and nice. The food was incredible. Not even a complaint from the little one. We don't usually get dessert when dining out but this time we couldn't resist trying the Reeses' cake and it was so worth it. Definitely plan on returning.
Good food, reasonably priced. Families welcome with kid's menu available. Large indoor and outdoor seating. I'd go here again. There is an unusual 80 minute seating rule here. It's posted on the wall plus the waitress made it clear before we ordered. You apparently can't spend more than 80 minutes at your table. There's probably a story/reason behind it but I didn't ask. Lots of parking and a varied, casual menu. Easy to drive in and pull out onto Rt 78. Worth the visit.
We love this place. The food is excellent (especially the chicken wing soup!) and the staff has always been amazing. It's a very relaxed atmosphere. The prices are reasonable as well.
I waited until I had visited The Rock twice before leaving a review. I'm glad I did because I may have only given it 4 stars the first time around. But after sampling more food and realizing how solid the service was it needs to be 5 stars. Most important fact, their Chicken Wings are no joke. Nice and fat, well cooked, tasty sauce, and very clean looking. May sound funny but I think you can tell they maintain their friers well. My family's meals were also very good. They had Big Ditch on tap and that was a win. The Rock is a cozy place and has a good vibe to it. The bar seems smaller than I'd like but I bet it would be a nice relaxing place to grab a drink. I went twice when it was pretty cold (Oct and Nov) but the patio looks very nice. I'm a fan of this place and it is certainly now I my rotation. The wings are great.
We drove all the way from medina to find our new place too eat. The chicken wing soup was the best I've ever had food was unbelievable. Our waitress Julia was so great and thank you so much too the manager you did not have too do what you did but it was greatly appreciated.
Went back to the Rock for the first time in years— so glad we did. Food was excellent and so were the prices. I had the Hooligan sandwich and enjoyed the creamy provolone and dill sauce. My house salad was also fresh (with lots of greens and real carrot strips which you rarely find on a salad). My husband raves over the fish fry and his clams casino. Nice waitress too.
This was my first time here with my family and we loved it! My mother had the Reuben, I had the French Dip and my husband had the tenders. Omg the food was phenomenal and the server was awesome! We will definitely be returning.
I can’t say enough how much my husband and I enjoyed our meal at The Rock Restaurant! We had everything from appetizers to dessert and cocktails. We sat on the enclosed patio and we’re very comfortable with full view of all the TVs so my husband could watch the football game. Even though we live in Orchard Park so many of our friends have raved about this restaurant that we just had to try it. We will be back again especially because of the great service we received too!!
McKenzie was great. We were 11 people and she was very attentive and fun. We teased her a lot and she was so sweet!
The Rock is an awesome destination for a great meal in an older structure that obviously was an 1800's style home. All of the old real wood trim between rooms is gorgeous. The staff were so nice and couldn't do enough for you. There were 4 of us, and everyone's meal was delicious and well presented. What a truly enjoyable place to have a meal and conversation. Do yourself and your family or friends a huge favor and make plans to visit The Rock on Transit rd. East Amherst, NY.
Awesome food and great atmosphere! The steak sandwich was hands down the "Best" I've ever had!! The pretzel is crazy big!
Wonderful outdoor patio with heaters. The French Onion soup was delicious. The drinks were very good. The Lobster Roll was one of the best my friend had had on Buffalo. The Reuben was full and tasty. A great dining experience.
This was an absolutely excellent restaurant experience. First of all, the environment was great. Happy to watch NFL game on the giant flatscreens(actual TVs and not just projectors many restaurants use)! The service was good with our drinks being refilled regularly. The food is amazing for such a moderate price. I had the Mac and cheeseburger, which was a delicious combination of flavors!! I am not a huge fan of peppers but the jalapeños that came on the burger were the perfect amount of spice. I immediately recognized the Mac and cheese as Kraft original, which happens to be my favorite. The burger was done medium just as I asked. However one of my family members also ordered medium just to be safe even though he usually orders medium rare. He wasn’t quite happy with medium. Just for reference the chefs will give you what you ask for, don’t order medium if you usually order medium rare because you may be disappointed. Delicious apple pie logs for dessert which left me absolutely stuffed! Very large portions!!
My family and I really enjoy dining The Rock. My wife and I have dined here many times over the years, sometimes just the two of us, sometimes the kids will join us, and sometimes we’ll bring friends. I can honestly say that before tonight, we have NEVER had a problem or complaint about anything. During our meal this evening, we brought up a small concern to our server and he immediately escalated it to the owner who happened to be on site. While it sounds ridiculous, I am really, really happy that a relatively insignificant issue occurred as it showed the character of this incredible local gem. The level of concern shown by these two gentlemen makes me love this place even more. I cannot stress enough that there was nothing horribly wrong with our meal, it just came out a little on the cold side. Our server, Riley, and the owner, Austin, really showed that they recognized the issue, left us confident that they would immediately work with their staff to improve, and made my wife, and I know that we mattered to them as their guests. I applaud this business, its ownership, and its staff for 100% “getting it”. Nice job! We look forward to visiting again, soon!
The Rock has been a favorite of my wife and mine for nearly a decade, since we moved to the neighborhood. It’s not only a great family friendly bar and restaurant but the regulars feel like family. Servers and bartenders, even kitchen staff, seem to want to make every customer’s night a great time. The bartenders who have been there for years, Nico and Shay, make a point to make sure guests are having fun (my wife and i often dine at the bar, so we know).
Good food. Attentive staff. Everything we tried was good and will be returning to try more items.
Great experience all around. Server was able to seat a table of 9 in seconds and we were getting drinks within minutes. Food choices were expansive. Food when it came was very good. This joint seems to specialize in burgers but their other menu items are good as well. The patio seating is very large and open. Very newly remodeled/built patio, with many tvs. Had heaters in the center of the patio but I don’t know how those would hold up in the winter so check how cold it should be before you go as seating inside seemed to be limited to just the bar. Other than that, no complaints, just great service, and good food!
Took some out of town guests here for dinner. The waitress was friendly and ensured we were well taken care of. The portions were very generous and tasted wonderful. I had the Cajun burger medium rare it was cooked just the way I like it. The other meals were enjoyed by my guests and we all walked away satisfied with the atmosphere and food, as well as the cost.
First time here and everything was delicious. I will definitely be back.
My husband and I returned to this restaurant for our wedding anniversary with our daughter, because we had a great experience there a few years ago. They did not disappoint. We all ordered appetizers and hamburgers and they were delicious. Highly recommend.
Immaculate vibes. Incredible service, delicious food, and refreshing drinks. I tried the Chili, lobster roll, blueberry beer, snickers pie, and Reece's pie and would strongly recommend any of these options to anyone. Can’t wait to come back!
I went there tonight with my family and I was so amazed at the service, atmosphere and definitely the food. We have never been here before and thought that we would give it a try. Julia, our waitress, was so pleasant and friendly. Coming back constantly just to see if we needed anything else. We all had something different to eat and different appetizers just to try different items on the menu. All 4 of us could not believe how good the food was. The manager we could see walking around observing which was really nice. We even got a couple quarts of the chicken wing soup to go. Yes it was that good!! We will all definitely be going back again. This is by far the best place we have eaten at and we have been to so many different restaurants. Every person that works there went over and beyond my expectations!!
I like sitting on the encoded patio, it is well heated. There are many large screen TVs and sports is always on. Great menu and there are always specials
This is one of the best Buffalo fish fry's in town! Fresh, delicious fish wrapped in light Crispy beer batter with crispy fries and fresh cole-slaw. I live out of town and had been searching for the quality fish fry I remembered and so many times I was disappointed that they were soggy or overcooked. The Rock does not disappoint!
Great restaurant! Excellent burgers, salads, etc. Beautiful year-round patio, great service. Definitely one of the best restaurants in the Northtowns!
Fantastic cajun burger, it's been a long time since I've ordered medium rare and actually got it perfectly cooked. Prices were incredibly reasonable, and for $16 not only did I get a big burger but a side of hot fresh fries with a delicious chili sauce. Great service as well. This was a return trip back to Buffalo after moving and this will be a must visit when we come back every year!
My question was could their burger stand up to the legendary burger Grover's Grill offers. As Grover's was closed yesterday it was my chance to test the hypothesis that Rock Kitchen's burger had legs compared to Grover's. My conclusion: Rock Kitchen's burger is EXCELLENT!!!
My friend and I went here and we had a great time, and the food was nice and service was good.
Stopped into The Rock Kitchen in East Amherst on a cold, rainy night and found the perfect cozy spot! Warm comfort food. Help yourself popcorn, good lobster roll, and the fried green tomato and mozzarella caprese stack were great options. Quick, friendly service and a local crowd at the bar. Looks and and feels like it might’ve been a former home. Chill vibe all around!
This place was fantastic. The food was fast and tasted amazing. The service was spectacular as they never let our drinks get empty and checked on us often. I got the lobster roll and it was great. I prefer the hot lobster with butter, whereas this was served cold style with a sauce, but would 100% devour it again.
Y'all this place is amazing! Our waitress Laurie was the best she made sure we had a great visit . I had the lobster roll and fries. Ok so I live in Mississippi now coming from east coast I don't get good seafood often but this was an amazing lobster roll one of the better I have had even from VA Beach delicious. My husband had the burnt ends tacos. He said they were some of the best different tacos he has had. Very different very good. You should try them. Cudos to the wait staff and chefs/cooks. I also need to shout out to the v Bartender she made one of the better whiskey sours according to the hubs one of the best most consistent ones. Thank you to the staff. We will be back probably this week and definitely when we come back in July..
Food was excellent! Had the Diavlo Sandwich and chicken wing soup, recommend both! Fresh cut fries also helped clinch this. Service was a little slow, otherwise great place! Edit: Changing to 5 star, fixed the service issue and was very prompt and server was super nice. Went with the kiddos(9,13), and they liked theirs alot as well.
Always great food and friendly service at this long-time local favorite. Burger was large and perfectly done, fish dinners were quite good and not overloaded with side dishes. Nice walking path adjacent to the parking lot to walk off those delicious meals!
Great tasting steak sandwich with fried mushrooms and onions on grilled garlic toasted bun with home cut fries cooked to perfection. Always enjoy chicken wing soup when I visit the Buffalo area. While there noticing daily weekly specials when Sabres or Bills games on
Great burgers and you have to try the seafood bisque. Pleasant and prompt service Reasonable prices Went on a very rainy night so it wasn't too busy Enjoyed and will be back for another burger. Group tried the Southwest, Stuffed Pepper and BBQ. All were good.
I've been coming to this restaurant since before it was even called The Rock. It has always been a nice restaurant but over the years it has gotten nicer. The food has always been good and offers a better atmosphere then their neighbor Grovers and possibly a better burger. I sometimes feel they have a hidden gem feel but I always see cars here. My most recent venture here (Feb 2021) I tried their chicken wing soup. Let me say in general I've never been the biggest fan of wing soup but The Rocks might just be the best I ever had and I know I will get it every time I can. I hope the introduce more soups down the road as I was impressed! I will be back again in the future.
Had the chicken wing soup, it was awesome! It was thick with plenty of chicken. 5⭐ The (homemade Italian sausage) sandwich special was also excellent. The 4 star rating was because of the wait time between being seated and the arrival of our server then between our appetizers and sandwiches. Patio was full, inside was mostly empty.
Service was excellent. Food was really good too, except for the lobster roll - it was prepared well but it wasn't very fresh. They kindly replaced it with another dish. Was just there again. Always good food, always excellent service.
Plastic curtains were down on the patio with sunny skies and 75 degree temps???…. Food is excellent as always, but the service is WAY too fast and the tables and floors were extremely sticky, even after being wiped down🥴…that being said, our waitress was fantastic and very friendly!
First of all, the building itself lures you in; a tall red building smack in the middle of Transit Road halfway between Clarence and Lockport is definitely an eyebrow raiser to begin with. Every time you go by, you see people going into and leaving the building, and then you'll see people sitting out on a patio toward the back of the building. Eventually, after you memorize the name of the place, your interest piques, looking for somewhere new to eat. You look up a menu online and you see that they have quite the variety. I'm personally gluten free and vegetarian, though I do eat fish, so I thought that there were plenty of options for myself, and my weird, non-vegetable-loving-vegetarian fiance. (Okay, to be fair, he likes some vegetables, but he can't stand the traditional greens that go into Caesar salads and things of that nature.) Nonetheless, we went there one night looking to try somewhere new, and we had mixed feelings, but leaning more towards the positive side of those feelings. At first, I thought my serving size seemed small. I got the garden noodle bowl, with shrimp added, but I think inititually, the issue was that the huge plate/bowl was so large, that it made the amount of food on my plate seem smaller. It was by far one of the tastiest meals I've ever had. My only legitimate complaint was that it was a whopping $8 to add shrimp to my entrée, which would have been fine, if they didn't only include a measly 4 pieces of shrimp. They labeled them as jumbo shrimp on the menu, but to be honest, they were not that big. For that amount, I would hands down expect more of the add on I'm paying that much more for. My fiance got a veggie burger and said that was also very flavorful. We will probably be back at some point, and while the shrimp was also very good, and seasoned well, I'm not sure I would dish out that kind of money again if I were to order that entree again, unless, maybe, they provided more shrimp. It's definitely worth checking out though, if you've been thinking about it like we were.
This place has the best fries around! Their burgers are pretty good, and their mixed drinks are good sized. The patio setup is a nice feature too. Service is usually pretty good - was very slow on our last visit but to be fair, they do have a help wanted sign out front. My only issue is I ordered a lobster roll sandwich - which was ok. But it had chopped red onions in it (which it did not state on the menu that it came with this). Being a New England native I can absolutely say that lobster rolls DO NOT have red onion in them. Lobster - mayo/aoli - chopped celery - MAYBE a leaf of lettuce in the bun. But NO RED ONION. This pretty much ruined the sandwich for me. :-/
My boyfriend and I have been wanting to try this place for a while. Finally did, and very pleased! It was very busy at 6:30 on a Friday so we had a 25 minute wait. Despite how busy it was our appetizers and dinner came out very quickly. Cocktails were delicious and a big drink menu. Spinach artichoke dip was very good. I got the southwestern burger and he got the crab roll. Both were amazing and the fries and their signature dipping sauce were awesome! Great service too. Only complaint would be that their bathroom needs some serious work. Super happy we stopped in and will be back.
This was out second visit. First time a week ago was excellent all around. This last visit the food was just as good, however service was lacking. Once seated it was almost 15 minutes before anyone came to the table. While the waitress was there she was great but getting her to the table was touch. It seemed they were under staffed.
The French onion soup was okay, alot of croutons with little flavor. Highly recommend the burgers, wrap, and fries with their special sauce. The atmosphere is good esp for families.
Riley took great care of us. He was very attentive and pleasant to deal with. The chicken wing soup was spicy but delicious. My pot roast sandwich was ok. Not much flavor to the meat. Sauteed onions were done perfect. My friend had a burger. She enjoyed it. The dipping sauce was great. I'd come back again for the soup alone!!
The building always looked mysterious to me, because of the black and red theme colors they use. So I finally had to come and check Rock Kitchen out. Soon as you step in you see the bar, to the left there is the hostess stand. Once you speak to the hostess, you have a choice of sitting. In the patio section, or you can dine inside. The menu offers plenty of options such as, Burgers, salads and wings. Pretty decent tasting food and would come back again. Philly cheesesteak egg rolls- very cheesy and delicious Cajun dry rub wings- loved the crispy the wings were cook. Rub could be a little to much for some though. Garlic Parmesan wings- really good tasting and nice size wings Signature rock hot and sweet- again wings cooked perfect and the sauce was really good Cheddar burger- choice of cheese (but it’s a up charge) Burger nice size and cooks with a side of fries, plus a side of aioli dipping sauce. I used some of the sauce for my burger, it was really good.
Food was good but front of house staff very unorganized. Told they didn't take reservations but could "hold a table" for us. We learned upon arrival that they couldn't and we were looking at a 15 minute wait which was actually 35. The outside covered deck is sweet and the historic building is beautiful. You just need to be prepared for lackluster hosts.
Great seafood soup! Large burgers, good service. Wheelchair accessible into building by the bar, but a couple steps up to where you sit to eat. In the summer you can access the patio with wheelchair. That's why the 3 star rating!
We like going to the Rock. My husband has always liked the lobster roll. We always thought it was the best in the area. Well not anymore. It's half the size it used to be. Very disappointing. I got the ruban. It was on special. It was only ok. Again not as good as it was before not hot when I received it and less ingredients then last time. Another disappointing meal. We will think twice before returning.
I may be to cultured with food and what buffalo has to offer. But I personally did not enjoy the food here. Just my opinion. The apps were ok. The service was excellent and atmosphere is exactly what you expect. I would recommend for you to try yourself as this review is again just one opinion!!! I'll try it one more time just to be sure 😃.
Philly egg rolls are great, fries are decent, staff is nice. The burgers are bland and watery. I heard great things tried them twice for good measure I'll stick to mine Edit: watery due to what I assume is them being frozen. That would add to the blandness. But atleast the owner is Nice too and replies
Food is average & overpriced. We each had a side salad that was just ok with field greens, cherry tomatoes , commercial croutons, a few sliced cucumbers , gated carrots served with Ken’s dressing. We shared a strip steak sandwich. It was steak cut up in cubes & not a whole piece ! Came on a small bun with spinach and mozzarella cheese melted for $20. Very disappointing and not cooked medium rare as ordered… how could it be?’ Wine was $9 served in the smallest glass I have ever seen. It is an old house converted & it was not or couldn’t be properly air conditioned…It was too warm and stuffy. We will never go back.
Friendly staff. I ordered the mac and cheese burger. Although the burger itself was decent, it had Kraft Mac n cheese on it, which i found unusual, especially considering the price. Also my burger was suppose to have bbq sauce on it, yet the only display of bbq sauce was what was smeared on my plate. The "honey butter" for the sweet potato fries was majority butter, with little to no honey flavor. I dont think I would come again.
Food was very good, but my glass of wine could have fit in a thimble. Disappointing
The draft beer menu was incorrect. They brought us the wrong drafts and when asked they said they had run out and substituted another beer without asking. Also, the chicken wing soup was room temp and nearly inedible. I guess we caught them on a bad day.
Just ok. Ordered tuna wrap and was disappointed. Not well prepared or presented. Additionally, the waitress was not very good in taking care of our table. Didn't refresh drinks, mixed up orders, never brought requested items. We expected better for the prices charged.
This was one of only two restaurants I've ever walked out of. I debated writing this review while I approached an hour wait for our table after being quoted 20-25min, but decided I would wait until after we ate so at least the food would have a shot at a decent review. However, we never got that far. At an hour the hostess tried to seat us (5 adults and a highchair) at a 4 top with one of the ends against the wall. We declined as there was no way that was going to work. We waited another 15min and we're finally seated. Based on my experience thus far I started to time how long it was until we were served. We waited 5 min and no server came to greet us, at that point I went to the hostess station to ask for a manager. After a short wait the manager came to speak with me and I let her know that a server has still not been over to greet us. Since it was now 9 min in I expected to go back to the table and my friends to tell me the server came while I was gone taking to the manager, but that wasnwa the case. We waited another 2 min and then decided it was time to go. As we were getting up there server was just approaching the table, but it was too late at that point. I gave two stars because although the service was terrible, the staff was never rude. Unfortunately, I'm not able to review the food.
The food is ok, liked the fries alot. Burgers are not bad. Service was horrible. Waited to sit outside, not a big deal. After ordering the food took forever to come out. Waitress was nice but very attentive. Took a long time to get refills on drinks. And getting the bill taken care of from time it was dropped off till time we got our card back took about 20 minutes. We were there for almost 2 hours for 2 adults and 2 kids. I don't expect fast food times, but also didn't expect so much wasted time. Hope this was a one time experience.
My husband and I went to The Rock for our anniversary dinner. We had been once years ago and loved our experience. We walked in and from the moment we entered the atmosphere felt awkward and just off. We were seated after the hostess and bartender stared at us like we were interrupting their important conversation. Once seated we each ordered our drinks and the Bavarian soft pretzel as an appetizer. The pretzel was delicious! My husband ordered a burger $18 and asked for onion rings in place of the fries (upcharge), I ordered the Asiago stuffed gnocchi with shrimp $20+ (upcharge). Imagine how excited we were about the food to come. I looked around while we waited for our food, noticing the decor. I think they are going for a shabby shic look, but honestly it just looks dirty and not kept up. The walls in our booth were so stained and covered in food, it was very off-putting. The food came quickly. The burger was a frozen burger patty burnt on the outside cold and raw in the center, the onion rings were tepid and soggy, the gnocchi was mushy and tasteless. The shrimp tasted absolutely awful. We couldn’t eat it. There is a saying “the best costumer you lose is the one who leaves without ever complaining”, and that day that was us. We paid our $100 check and left, and we will never return!
Food is always great, bar service terrible 4 30 till 530 on weekday. I never write reviews unless I have to beg for service.
If I could give 0 Starz I would. It was first and last time going. We went on Thursday night and it was dead. There were 3 tables sat on the patio. We were told we had to wait 10 minutes to be sat on patio just to even order drinks because the kitchen needed to catch up. After the hostess telling us this I didn't believe it so I asked the bartender who was rude. I've been in the service industry my whole life, with my parents owning a restaurant. I've never heard anything like this, especially when the place is half full. In order to stay in business and make money you at least seat people and let them order drinks and maybe an app. It's the basic 101 of the restaurant industry. You won't succeed if you're understaffed, not seating customers with a ton of open tables, and not up selling your products.
I can say the food came out so fast. I thought I was at a fast food restaurant! The clams casino was horrible. The hot stuff peppers weren’t much better the French lion soup what is the worst I ever had. the south western burger was edible and the one thing I can say is the steak sandwich which was cut up in little pieces of sirloin for $18 was good but will never return here again . Pass on this one
It was filthy with flies and fruit flies everywhere. The food was overpriced and tasted freeze burnt. The bartender was talking very inappropriately, especially since there were children present. Our server was good, but her clothes were way too tight and small. I definitely will not return!
Brought people there as we loved Rock Bottom, new owners, no fish fry as they didn't get there shipment, really???? Never will go back, embarrassed we told our friends to drive out there as it was a ride for them. Thank you Rock Bottom for a second chance to make our experience a wonderful dinner. At 7:30 on a Friday night we were able to have our fish dinner complinentst on the house. Our waitress was wonderful and we will return. I give them 5 stars now.
This was the second time in the last few months where we had to leave without getting our food. Spent some time and money at the bar and then tried to get a meal in the dining area... waited 50 minutes and never got our food ..Christine our waitress was pretty good, adjusted our bill, but in the end, we ended up paying for a salad we never got. Kind of a shame as we have always had good food here but you're on the verge of loosing a pretty good customer. Signed, Disappointed once again
20 min wait time turned into 40, and there were empty and set tables. Definitely more bar feeling than a nice restaurant. I'm gonna point out that usually on a fish fry Friday you'll most likely have a pleasurable fish aroma upon entry, my entry was greeted by stagnant bar drain. Plastic is a safe precautionary measure to serve food on and disposable side cups. I got a kids cup for my drink also safe. We had a broiled and a beer batter fish dinner. Coleslaw came frome a bag one of the Industries easiest side to make fresh. The slaw never had a chance to marry with dressing. Probably made 10 minutes before shift. The beer batter fish had no flavor except the oil it was cooked in. I could tell because they sent out a sample for me to try under my fish. My battered fish did have a little uncooked batter inside. The broiled fish flavor was hidden under whatever seasoning they thought would help. Soda was weak, I had a Shirley Temple. I have seen the place for many years and well we hit rock bottom tonight. For the location and years of being there, they must have lost their pride.
Food is terrible, sorry. Fishy and dry salmon. Tasty but undercooked rice dish. Clams casino were very dry and only a few unchewable pieces of clam. So sad. Looked so good online. This was an anniversary dinner.
Walked in with a family of 4 and was seated. No one came around to us for over 15 mins on a Wednesday night and they were not busy. That is unacceptable. First time ever going there and it was our last. Would not recommend.
Prices are extremely high, restaurant is in desperate need of deep cleaning. Visited in July and the prices for what was offered were crazy, $20.00 for a burger that was not cooked well at all. I wish I had looked at the reviews before I went there to eat. Definitely do not recommend this restaurant and will NOT be going back.
