Oh my stars!! Kuzina was our favorite restaurant during our 2 week visit to Scotland. The food was Greek yet with a creative twist. Service was impeccable and both the owner and chef came out to chat with us. Excellent wine recommendations too, the list is all Greek. I am not much of a dessert person typically but the pistachio tart was to die for! This place has only been open 2 months but I predict they will soon be booked up. Go now while you still can as they have limited seating available!

I am SO SO sorry this review is so late but life just takes over however it’s been on my mind to write a review ever since we went here. We celebrated our 10 year anniversary here over the summer, and honestly it was just outstanding in every single way. As a vegetarian I’ve always loved Greek food so I was intrigued to try what I think is the only fine dining Greek restaurant in scotland, certainly in Edinburgh. The interiors are plush and beautiful and just ooze luxury. A great start to what was a very very special occasion for us. The food was absolutely divine, while not diverting from its Greek roots, it was delicate and unbelievably inventive, every mouthful of every dish was sublime. We were particularly charmed by the dessert experience as the chef came out to chat to us and talk about the food and the origins and we were given the opportunity to try out a new ice cream he had been working on to serve with one of the deserts. It was honestly just heaven in your mouth. Everything about this place is unreal for such an incredibly underrated restaurant, if you like Greek food with a bit of fine dining on the side then this place is for you. Just go! Thank you to the whole team for a night to remember on one of the most significant dates in our 10 year history :)

Beautiful new place with exquisite cuisine. This place is not for you is you expect gyros and tzatziki. However.. the fantastic chef Konstantinos has put a modern and elevated twist to traditional greek dishes transforming everything to a true culinary experience. Growing up in Greece, I do have a soft spot for tradition but the execution is so remarkable that I was glad to step into the future of greek cuisine whilst still tasting the tradition. I must also add something I always pay close attention to... The place is remarkably clean which is always of a great importance to me.

My friends and I had dinner here as we love Greek food. Oh my goodness, it was SO good in every way possible. First, the service was out of this world. We were not quite sure what to order in terms of food or wine and our server gave us an extensive overview of each item and suggested a perfect Greek wine to accompany our selections. My glass did not empty the whole time I was there as the server was over to fill it up the second it was about to be empty and plates were cleared immediately. We were particularly impressed when the owner, Konstantinos, came over to our table to ask us how it was and to tell us the story of the regions of the food and restaurant. If that was not enough, the head chef, also called Konstantinos, came to visit us to chat about the food and experience. We felt so very special! The food was amazing as well - not only in terms of presentation, but taste. Everything was cooked to perfection and I can especially recommend their signature dessert, the Ekmek Kataifi (picture 3 below), a pistachio lover's dream <3

Love this place, as I just was not expecting it. Great quality Greek food and Wine. Konstantine is a wonderful host and clearly very passionate about delivering something special for his customers. Try the lamb, there would have been photos of dessert had it not disappeared so quickly.

Exactly what Edinburgh was missing! A perfect addition to the food industry! I was blown away of how they can transport you to Greece with a single bite but with a twist. We had the charcoal artichokes to start with and the superb pork cheeks (reminded of my grandmas giouvarlakia, which only Greeks will understand but is worth it)as a main which was cooked to perfection. And the perfect finish of the entire meal was the ekmek Kadaifi ! I will definitely come back for more . Also our server was very attentive and with all the knowledge you expect seeing in this kind of restaurants Thank you guys !!!

A nice and cosy environment to dine. The food was amazing, great job to the chef putting this menu together. Authentic Greek dishes with a modern twist to them. The service was also great in explaining how the ingredients were picked, sourced, cooked etc. I will definitely be back soon!

Congratulations Konstantinos for your new restaurant Kuzina on Howe St in Edinburgh. We were lucky enough to eat there in the week it opened and we were blown away by quality of the food. My starter was Salted wild mushrooms in chervil sauce with celeriac puree 9/10 while for main I had the Lamb Giouvetsi braised lamb shoulder with tomato and wild fennel orzo 8/10 and the sublime Elmer Kataifa pistachio ganache for dessert 10/10 The restaurant has had an incredible makeover bringing the kitchen partly into the dining room while the new dining chairs and large high ended sofa works well with the hand painted walls and chandeliers. The whole place is bright and airy yet cosy and comfortable - I'd strongly recommend that you visit!

An undiscovered gem in the New Town. We had the set lunch which was a creative twist on typical Greek standards. A friend spoke well of the place, but it really exceeded expectations. Highly recommended!

5 stars all round. We could not have asked for more attentive and knowledgeable service. Which, with such natural ease, brings a certain something extra to the dining experience. The menu is diverse yet succinct, and leaves you wanting to try everything - or simply come back for more. Portions sizes have you well fed and the beautiful presentation and layering of flavours finds you thoughtful. Intolerances were mindfully accommodated and we started with the sourdough breads and shared a bottle of white wine between the table. I had the Nigri, Calamari and Ravani - though apparently the Lamb Giouvetsi was also fantastic. Many thanks again to Konstantinos and his team for such a wonderful lunch. We look forward to seeing you again soon! - Rhiannon, (Baxter booking).

Accidentally found this Greek restaurant, and luckily the food was delicious! Every time our food was served, the chef would come and explain the ingredients food we ordered. And the prices are reasonable. Very Reccomended!! We will definitely come back again.

One of the best fine dining restaurants in Edinburgh. Authentic Greek food, fresh, refined and well presented. Better than most restaurants in Athens. Clearly the owner is aiming at a very high standard. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for delicious food, great service and atmosphere.

We had a wonderful lunch at the new Greek restaurant, Kuzina, in New Town. We enjoyed the authentic taste of Greece, all prepared and presented in a fine dining, modern fashion. The wine selection was superb and we discovered some Greek wines we didn’t know. The place is also beautifully decorated. Both trendy and cosy. We would highly recommend it and wish Kuzina the success it deserves!

Five-star Greek Fine Dining Experience in Edinburgh! A true gem in the city's dining scene. If you're in Edinburgh and looking for an exceptional dining experience, look no further than this Greek fine dining restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the stunning décor. The ambiance was perfect for a special occasion, a romantic night out or a catch up with friends. But the real star of the show was the food. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavour and cooked to perfection, with fresh, high-quality ingredients that truly shone. We were blown away by the diverse and creative menu, which offered a modern twist on traditional Greek cuisine. I highly recommend the Wild mushrooms and the Calamari! But it wasn't just the food that impressed us. The wine list was extensive and curated with care, with options that perfectly complemented our meal. I fell in love with their sparkling wines, Sixth-Sense NV was my fav. Overall, this Greek fine dining restaurant in Edinburgh is a must-visit for any food lover. With exceptional food, impressive wine list, and stunning decoration, it's a true gem in the city's dining scene. I will definitely pay another visit soon for lunch or dinner!

I have been very pleased with the hospitality, the drinks the food. Konstantinos has taken us into a culinary journey. The food has been a wonderful experience of textures, techniques and flavours. This restaurant is a true gem in Edinburgh. Highly recommend to visit and experience what Kuzina has to offer.

The food, service and atmosphere are superb. Kudos to the kitchen and the two sweet servers. As a single customer, I must add my utter disappoint with the owner. While he greeted many other tables after he arrived, I never received any form of greeting, acknowledgment or thanks, even as I walked past him on my way out. The Chef de Cuisine and servers could not have been more welcoming. The owner needs to take a page from their book when it comes to hospitality with individuals who enjoy dining solo.

Amazing Greek food, so refine and so unique!!! The fresh handmade bread from the chef was amazing! The food was an excellent experience! So Greek in smell and taste. Greek wines, different taste, indigenous varieties! I loved the organic and vegan Six Sense sparkling wine by Poultsidis Winery. Amazing desert ekmek kataifi!!! Congratulations!!!

Edinburgh’s new upmarket Greek restaurant was a delight with fresh sourced ingredients . The attention to detail in the cuisine was outstanding prepared with real art. Elegant beautifully upholstered surroundings. Service super friendly with a warm comfortable feel about the place. We look forward to returning soon .

Flawless. 3 fantastic courses (the artichoke starter is a MUST!) and a gorgeous glass of Greek red (never had before!) For £60 pp with tip. The service was excellent though, atmosphere pleasant but relaxed and we will definitely be back for more!

Oh what a discovery, I didn't know what to expect from fine greek dining buy now I want to go back for more! Everything on the menu is thought through and the dishes we tried were all prepared with incredible care and attention to detail, the different elements really complimenting each other, and you can still taste all the exciting greek flavours you'd expect from a proper greek restaurant. Literally everything was delicious and the pistachio dessert was outstanding, I can't wait to be back and try everything I couldn't fit this time! The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, and the chef really lovely, even took some time to explain his dishes and process to us, we had a brilliant time. Highly, highly recommended to anyone who's in for exciting Mediterranean food!!

The BEST Greek restaurant in Edinburgh by far!! The food is amazing, I recommend the spanakopita to start and the duck for the main was incredible. The service is flawless and there is always someone there to talk you through the dish and where the ingredients come from. It’s so nice learning about Greek culture and dishes native to the country, I visit Greece regularly for holidays so it’s nice to have somehwere in Edinburgh that transports you right there!

We had dinner here with family on Sunday. Stunning restaurant with incredible food. My husband and family were over from Cyprus and loved the modern take on Greek good. Particularly loved the dessert Constantino had a great selection of Greek wines to try out also 😀

We went for the tasting menu and let the waiter chose our wine - best choice ever. Delicious food and not your "typical" Greek cuisine you see everywhere. Would def go back.

The atmosphere is brilliant. It’s warm and inviting with emerald green sofas and sparkly light fixtures. The service is incredible. It’s apparent that the kitchen takes great pride and joy in creating delicious but beautiful plates. Everything is a work of art in there. I highly recommend the Spanakopita and the Trahanas.

It was PERFECT. Everybody was really nice, they just opened four months ago. It was worth every cent. We had four different mains (lamb, octupus, calamari and chicken), also a potato salad as a starter and three different desserts. Everyone of them was beautifully arranged and had such a special and amazing taste. The cook came to our table everytime and explained the dishes to us. I think he liked us cause in the end he let us taste their pistacchio cream which was insanely good of course. You could really tell they put a lot of work and effort in their dishes. Also the wines we had were really tasty. Recommend for SURE.

Phenomenal! Food was incredible, service was amazing and the wine was superbly chosen. We had a celiac in the group of 5 and the staff were meticulous in checking her food options with the chef

Just opened - this is a classy, fine dining restaurant - soon to be Edinburgh Greek culinary gem. A cut above your typical Taverna dishes..expect refined reinvention. Every ingredient from the olive oil to the Wagyu beef has been carefully sourced. Get a table while you can.

Excellent food and service. An experience in truly delicious meals, prepared with authentic ingredients (imported olive oil was delicious), freshly baked bread everyday and a combination of flavours and textures in every course. A true delight.

Went to Kuzina for Sunday lunch, what a lovely experience. Everything from the welcome (the owner led me to the table himself) and service, to the delicious food and wine was terrific. The relaxed, friendly ambiance and attention to detail, such as the beautiful glassware, was obvious. I had the pan fried fish with parsnip puree and was impressed with the Greek wine it pared with. Definitely an impressive new addition to Edinburgh’s dining scene. Will be back!

The experience was exceptional. While the menu is ambitious, the kitchen team clearly have a very strong grasp of the basic fundamentals of cookery. As a consequence, the food is extremely interesting, without being poncy, and executed perfectly. The braised pig cheek and celeriac risotto was brilliant and the pistachio pudding was a triumph. It is the sign of an excellent chef when each element of a dish is perfect in its own right, as well as working perfectly in combination with the other aspects of the plate. The best meal I’ve had in Edinburgh.

Highly recommend. We were there for dinner again last night and it was fantastic. Amazing people, amazing setting and amazing food - faultless! Amazing ingredients transformed (without huge amounts of intervention) in to amazing tasty and naturally healthy dishes. The quality of the ingredients/food is off the scale. A small but important point…..unlike most Edinburgh restaurants Kuzina cooks using only EVO oil and nothing is deep fried. Most restaurants now use vegetable/rapeseed oils as a ‘healthy’ alternative - rubbish! Can’t wait to go back.

Excellent food and service! I was there with my family and after we had the best-bread-in-Edinburgh with Greek olive I had the tasteful artichokes for starter, and then soft and juicy lamb giouvetsi - I loved it! All was full of flavor and interesting, on top of that the service was very friendly and welcoming. I'm definitely coming back for more :)

We had dinner here with my fiancées parents and it was such an amazing meal from start to finish. It’s got a special twist on your usual Greek food, the quality of the food was excellent!! Really comfortable/inviting restaurant to sit it and the staff made it a really special experience. I’d highly recommend visiting this restaurant, our new favourite!

Had a fantastic meal at Kuzina in Edinburgh! It's a cozy spot for some top-notch Greek cuisine. The menu is pretty concise - just a few starters, mains, and a single dessert - but honestly, that's part of its charm. Every dish is outstanding, with the Fish Avgolemono standing out as a definite must-try. And the Ekmek kataif for dessert? Simply scrumptious. Plus, their wine selection is impressive too!

We went to the grand opening night of Kuzina and absolutely loved it. The interior is beautiful with a great attention to detail and the food blew us away. From the quality to the way it was arranged on the plates, everything was absolutely amazing! We got served some complimentary homemade sourdough bread with the most delicious olive oil and sea salt and the owner gave us great information about how they source the ingredients. Food, wine, service and ambience is absolutely perfect, would highly recommend.

A sublime meal at Kuzina last night. Just a five minute walk from the city centre! The ambience, service and food were all amazing and the staff were very attentive and lovely. It was very relaxed and really elevates Greek cuisine. This is something completely unique for Edinburgh. I would highly recommend. I’

Book it now! Kuzina represents an extraordinary restaurant in Edinburgh and one of the best meals we have had in the city. The food is fantastic, flavourful, filling and well judged while the service is personable and prices well within good value for what you get. Kuzina is exactly the type of establishment that lifts the town and we will be regular customers in the future. 10/10

Looking at previous reviews and pictures I expect we caught Kuzina on a bad night. Nonetheless, there were several issues during our NYE meal. Firstly they had no stock of their house red. That’s completely understandable but the second cheapest bottle was an extra £13. My experience of restaurants with no house wine is they offer an alternative at a similar price - but the gentleman serving us seemed very surprised when we enquired about this. Given there were 6 of us all drinking wine the price difference across two bottles we felt was unreasonable. Sadly the food was below par. The mushroom starter was excellent - but the feta was gelatinous and the texture was really unpleasant. The spanakopita had really thick tough pastry which we didn’t enjoy. The lamb main was diabolical - it was a burnt lamb burger patty and extremely dry and the orzo very slimy. We were concerned the fennel would be overpowering but actually couldn’t taste it at all. There were no vegetables or greenery like in other photos/reviews. Neither the duck nor the cod were crispy as described. Given how the staff failed to rectify the issue with the wine, we decided as a group it wasn’t worth raising the issues with the food with the staff at the time as we didn’t expect them to want to resolve it. We did explain at the end that we weren’t going to leave a tip (I think for the first time in our lives) because of the issues. A £50 a head meal and, sadly, enormously disappointing.

N
Nadine Muir

The feta starter was in my opinion very bad, it was set, with a strange gelatine consistency. I didn’t eat it but was not asked why I didn’t like it and was still billed for it. My friend’s meal wasn’t warmed through properly. I wanted a g&t but only wine was available, also tea was not possible either. Afterwards, both myself and my friend had upset stomachs.

Kuzina closed down without any communication after selling my daughter a £100 gift card. We were supposed to have a special meal last night , table was booked for 7pm ,but on arrival we discovered it has closed down. I would appreciate if they could contact me please with an apology and a refund.

R

I received a £100 gift card and made a booking reservation. The restaurant is no longer open, phone line no longer in service and will not respond to emails or on social media platforms. No notice was given, nor refund offered. Looking on their Facebook page comments- I am not the only one this has happened to. They have since deleted these comments and are trying to pocket the money.

J
Janina K

We booked a table to only find out the place had shut down. No booking cancellation or any communication from Kuzina. No one got in touch re refund of the voucher we were gifted either. We tried to call, message and email them but nothing! Unbelievable !
