Always a good experience!! My kids and I like this location best of all. They have a play are for the kiddos. It is always very clean. Food is delicious!! Excellent prices and portions. The staff here are real professionals. We overheard an irate customer, she was very rude and belittling. The young lady who addressed her was humble, patient and very professional. She kept her cool and offered to remake the customer's order, gave her the day managers number and a form to fill out to lodge her complaint. She kept calm and professional even though she was new, she handled it like a veteran. Excellent customer service here and friendly professional staff, clean well stocked restrooms. Love this location!!

I recently went cause I didn’t feel like making dinner and my mom is trying to lose weight. From what I remembered, their food wasn’t all greasy. I was right. I got something called the mundo nachos, I’m a big dude and it was hard to finish. Their chips are great they remind me of Chevys like lite and layers of crunchy. Had all the standard stuff: Beef, Nacho Cheese, Sour Cream, Refried Beans, Jalapeños, and diced tomatoes.. it was great. I put a couple packs of their Mild Sauce on top too. Got my mom the Taco Salad with Grilled Chicken. We both finished it and were really full and had no complaints. We both noticed how fresh and non-greasy it all was so she could eat guilt free. The best part though was it was just a few dollars over ten bucks. That’s great for 2024. Anytime I get food at the other fast-food spots near me I spend like thirty dollars. So, yeah I totally recommend. They also have great drinks and breakfast. I like this location it’s in a nice part of town and they really upkeep the exterior and interior, that’s always a good sign that your food is going to not be nasty in my experience. Anyways, great spot. More like tex-max than authentic Mexican food but I don’t care if it tastes good. No complaints, if they keep the prices as is I’ll eat there a lot more.

The food is generally great. I kind of miss the turkey tacos as they were a tasty and not too unhealthy. There are a lot of dollar items on the menu and they're very tasty. There are now featuring a guacamole and a snack and add to a dish and it's pretty good actually. Of course getting a special food to order welding a slow and service for the drive through but again it's worth it.

I love Del Taco and the way the ingredients tastes so fresh with flavor. It was a regular busy inside and drive we would call hopping. The employees were doing this teamwork thing, while preparing food. They were moving too, but one thing they were talking to each other, and occasionally smiled and laughed, while staying productively focused on getting food out. The expediter was focused and communicated with our orders. Listen, I mean she probably worked as an expediter in a restaurant kitchen before. She wasn't just standing there waiting for the food to bag. She was multitasking, cashiering, calling out food, on the the headset with drive through orders, and bagging food, and she made sure food was fresh n warned me that my food was hot. I had to write about the Elk Grove Team on Thursday dinner team, they were on top it all. It is appreciated to get grilled chicken combo, with hot food and freshly cooked fries and I took a chance on a churro. I wasn’t disappointed on my last drive. It's a round trip 4 hour drive, so you can't get bad food or you can get tired and that's dangerous dangerous. So, thanks for making me goof food, provide great service, and respecting your job and team it's obvious you all care!

I visit Del Taco often. The food is about as good as it gets but the service is what really keeps me coming back. Kapree, the lady working customer service for drive through, is the absolute best. She always greets me with a bright smile and makes me feel welcomed. She's attentive, accurate and exudes positive energy.

The food is really good for the most part. Sometimes, the late night food is lacking, or fries are cold. Just check your orders. But this is a good spot.

I like their bean burritos with green sauce, a good deal for $1. They seem a little smaller lately, but is this the covid factor? I also really like the grilled chicken and Carne asada tacos. I have never had a burger or ground beef here so cannot speak to that. I enjoy it more than the other fast food taco place as I feel like the fresh grilled meat is so much better tasting. My kids like the fries here.

We were in drive thru line for nearly 5 minutes before it moved up one car We were able to get out of drive thru line and parked and went inside to order I ordered their new Birria Ramen with beef. It was a little more spicy then what I expected.

My kids love to come here whenever they can. My little ones love to play on the play structure. Their food is pretty good especially for their price points. My oldest loves the French fries. Good spot for a family to get fast food at a good price.

I love the food here, always fresh and tasty, however they usually have an above average wait time in drive-thru. Just got back from there after ordering two of the new Beyond Meat regular tacos as well as one of the beyond meat Avocado tacos, and was a little disappointed with the avocado one. essentially the same as the regular one but they swap out the cheese on the regular one for a slice of fresh avocado. mine had a 'sliver' of avocado, not a 'Slice'. otherwise I highly recommend this restaurant.

Hands down one of the freshes and healthy fast food spots currently available. I love that they keep adding new stuff to their menu. The chicken tacos have always been amazing!!!!!! Service a this particular location could be a little nicer. Girl at the drive thru seemed annoyed to be there

The lady at the drive thru was very nice. Even though the drive thru was backed up she wasn't rude in any way like some others that I've encountered. Tuesday regular taco day can be rather crazy, because tacos are $2.29 for 3. Not too many places you can feed 3/4 people off $10 for lunch/dinner.

Drive thru service was good experience. Employee was courteous and patient. No attitude when I asked questions about the menu. The steak burrito with guacamole was delicious. The guacamole looked fresh(green and not brown). I was satisfied.

Del Taco has the best value for the money if fast food Mexican food.

I have noticed that the late night food is getting better. Something changed. Someone noticed that there was a problem at this location. I no longer hear the excuse that the grill is dirty. Someone is cleaning and making fresh food again. I appreciate it. Keep it up and I might be back, and bring my friends for breakfast.

I come here often, especially at night. I'm frequently serviced by a young gentleman named Floyd and he always provides exceptional customer service. Accurate, calm, polite and as swift as he possibly can be. With that being said, please get that brother some help! He shouldn't be taking orders, making the food and bagging it all by himself. Del Taco, stop being cheap and hire more help at night.

I'm sure you've been to Del Taco before, so same things on the menu. Always a good option for a cheap meal and lots of choices. Great choice, but this location could use a little cleaning. The restroom for sure needed some help. Otherwise staff was courteous and we had no issues.

Update 4/20/25: Decided to give them a try again. Service has improved greatly, no longer an hour wait though I did wait 30 mins from speaker to window. Food was great, good portion and not burnt. Friendly staff at the window and taking order. Will return when I'm in the area again. Update 3/6/2022: I'm not sure what's going on but since the pandemic the service is extremely slow, over an hour wait in drive thru with 4 cars ahead and food quality and portion has gone down hill, burnt fries and skimpy fillings. Also, not getting all items in the bag and having to wait through the drive thru line again. Huge disappointment! I hope they're able to pull it together soon. This my favorite del taco! The staff is very friendly. The food is consistent and delicious.

It seems like I never get the order I order. I can't tell you rhe last time I have gotten it done correct. So I've just had to expect the order won't be the way I had ordered it. Or like I will buy off the 2 for $5 menu and they always charge me reg price for the burritos and I don't want tobe the reason their drive thru backs up..

Me and my family are still in the establishment as I write this review. The whole place is dirty. None of the tables are clean so I have to use their napkin and hand sanitizer on the wall to clean up the table so we can use it. The floor is dirty too. The lady in the cashier is not friendly either.

I like their food. I don't love it, I like it. Mediocrity is best served at any fast food place that tries to imitate home cooking and fails, and also here. The food at del taco, I have to add, does have larger number of healthy-ish options than the majority of their competitors. It's also much MUCH better than taco bell. Sorry taco bell, they use real cheese and the guacamole has chunks in it. They got you beat ten fold.

As far as I'm concerned their value menu cannot be beat. Again creature of habit, but I can get lunch for 3 bucks. Also I know not everyone does but I happen to love their fries, it's like a fresh fried in oil version of Ore-Ida crinkle cut fries. Yeah. That's a good thing. Also if you haven't tried them, do yourself a favor and order some of the donut holes, fresh-made fresh cooked lightly dusted with cinnamon sugar. It's like a bite-size, less overly sugared, warm bit of churro. also doesn't hurt of course if their drive-thru is most places are open 24 hours, big bonus

Tasty tacos, they put a good amount of cheese which is nice. Service was polite but dine in service was oh so slow. Sooooo sloooooooow. Music was far too loud.

I don't usually eat at Del Taco, but they have a specific burrito that I really like. I always order it with no tomatoes and about half the time they mess up. I've learned to unwrap my burrito and check before leaving the parking lot. Inside is old and junky feeling and the restrooms have always been a disaster.

Use to be my favorite fast food place because the prices are great for healthier food. For the past few months they have been kinda lazy in assembling and packaging their food. I always get fish tacos and lately they have been put together so poorly that they get soggy and fall apart. None of the ingredients are evenly distributed and most of the time the fish is halfway out of the taco. I hope they fix this problem soon so that I'll want to go there again

Good taste for fast food, but not the best. Chili cheese fries are always good. The Del tacos are a good value. Much better and more filling than taco bell tacos.

Not the best on customer service and the drive-through is always really slow. Several times I've recieved complaints from workers at the drive-thru just for trying to get the sour cream that I paid extra for which they don't even give you unless you complain, which needless to say, I don't think is very good for business, but it's worth it for the food. The food is always really good.

Waited a very long time for our food.But knowing that there was one cook.One prepping person and one person doing both drives through an indoor I totally understand why. Food was good and portions were great. Play area still not open though

Went through the drive thru since doors are locked and you can't go inside. Got our food and went around to eat at the outdoor tables. My husband was missing a burrito from his meal. The drive thru was so busy, over 10 cars so we didn't want to go back through to have them fix our order. We knocked on the door several times and they didn't come help us. We called multiple times, they didn't answer. Fries were greasy and tasted like old grease. My green burrito marginal. Very disappointed in today's visit.

I come here at least once a month and always order #1 with an extra taco. Tonight was no different, except we ordered for the whoe family and got a Fiesta Pack with a mix of chicken and beef tacos, chili cheese fries, 3 extra burritos and a macho chicken burrito. Please tell me why my #1 was in a separate bag, but without my tacos😡. These tacos a quite different from the little peon tacos served in the Fiesta Box. They are very big tacos with lettuce, cheese, tomatoes and meat. The Fiesta Box had 3 chicken tacos missing 3 beef. In not asking too much to get a $50 order correct🤷🏽‍♀️.

Used to be THE best fast food place for burritos, fries & burgers. Now it has less flavor, smaller portions, way higher prices and some of the employees could use a class in people skills. Rude and impatient.

Drive thru employee was very impatient and borderline rude. Extremely hard to understand her through her mask and her mask. I asked her to repeat herself and each time was more muffled than the previous attempt. She should not wear a mask when speaking to a customer through the speaker or upgrade to a visual display for order confirmation.

Went in for tamales after 10... Was told they didn't have them ready yet... So went to order the other special burrito and was told that it wasn't ready either even though the sign in the window advertisement said after 10... Van was rude after asking for our name giving our receipt a name not even close. Crunchy taco shell was out of date, dining room was dirty, and they were out of an unknown number of drinks without apology. Rest of the food was standard.

Late around 11pm we saw a manager leave mad left two new guys to defend for themselves we ordered our food took an hour to get in the drive thru . Had two cars in front and five cars in back people getting mad not knowing what's going on until we got to the window the two boys forgot what was was in the bags , we did feel sorry for the two guys they were stressing out but kept their cool and kept telling us they were sorry. Food was very cold 🥶 not tasty . The two guys working they get a 5 star for keeping their cool and not giving up was not their fault for being new.

No longer a cheap spot to grab a decent low priced burrito. What once cost .99 now is 1.29 and seems like half the size it used to be. My order for 4 ppl used to be rite around 23bucks I drove thru when I was told the total was 36bucks now. Nvr get order correct yet they will ring up the extra price for added sauce yet they don't do it

3 strikes you're out. I've had nothing but problems each time I've visited this location. First two times were ridiculously long wait times for a fast food restaurant. You'll wait 20-30 min just to put your order in at the drive thru. My second visit I tried going inside and ordering, but that wasn't any better. I heard a person in the drive thru very frustrated saying they waited 40 min just to get to order. This third visit though really rankled. I thought I would order online to avoid the long wait times. I show up and pick up my sealed bag, as I'm walking out I feel it and it seems off. I open it and it's missing the 2nd burrito I ordered. I walk back in and am seen but ignored by the staff until the manager turns around, notices me, and comes over. I state I ordered two burritos and am missing one. She turns around and sees a half wrapped burrito on a counter. She asks the other staff if it's the burrito that I'm missing, and they say Yes. She finishes wrapping it and hands it to me. I don't understand how that happened, the place wasn't busy at all, total incompetence. You'd think that's it, but there's more. I get home and we eat the burritos. I then open the box of what was supposed to be a Queso Fries, to find a cold bean/cheese stale nachos. That was the last straw for me. I will definitely not be coming back to this location, and honestly hesitant to even go another Del Taco. I get this is a fast food, but there is still a standard. You can look at all the other google reviews going up to a year and see there is a consistent pattern of this place falling well short of those standards. Even Del Taco's own comments on other reviews show that. Yet nothing has changed. The kicker, I went to Del Taco's website and submitted feedback, and all I got for my trouble is a $1 coupon.

I was disappointed on what I got today. The lady helping me create my order was taking a good minute to place everything down, which was normal for me because I am used to that. But that wasn't my problem. The problem that I had was the fact that I had to pay $5 more than what I was supposed to for 3 "bean and cheese" burritos and a regular fry. I was refunded but the reason why I put air quotes around bean and cheese is because I got beef and bean, which is not what I wanted. So not only did she take a long time and overcharge me on my order, she got the order wrong. Although the food isn't that bad, it wasn't what I got wanted. You're better off going to some places like Taco Bell or McDonald's.

As of recently...the service provided by this Del Taco..is Aweful. I asked for meals to be placed in a separate bag..,this didi not happen. I had to ask for my beverage..., and they are obviously not paying attention to the screen. The Drive Thru service is poor and I will not be going back.

Pulled up to the drive through.. fries are lying all over the counter, while the guy taking orders is on his phone, doesn't cha.ge gloves or wash hands before putting our food in the bag.. burritos look like they been mangled and do not have good proportions.. very messy and I felt sick after eating there.

Everything takes a long time, staff is rude and impatient. They never have any of there promotional specials. Give me the same excuse everytime " sorry we don't have that anymore because theres something new coming out in 2 weeks" but they are still advertising it all over the menu. This location is lame and should no longer be in business. The Calvin location is much better.

Been going here for years. Watched this place go downhill to the point I WONT GO BACK… night shift is a joke. Had an employee refuse to correct this girls order, but fixed mine? WOW! I have been given excuse after excuse by the manager, who was apparently off on leave. From only ONE employee working to sorry systems down. I think corporate needs to get involved in this failing business! Orders missing items, to 1 HOUR wait times for being the third car? No joke! I timed it!

1. June 4 5:30pm Drive-thru: You ran out of Medium cups and are trying to make us the customer pay for a Large even though regular size is not available. RIDICULOUS! That's a YOU problem. I left. 2. You guys put coupons in the paper and when I come to try and redeem one they always give me *guff* about it even though they do not expire for quite some time.

Not gonna lie I like this place because it’s near my home but takes whole life for night shift ordering. I go there once in a week and I have to wait in drive-through 20-50 minutes in the line because they only have two employees at night with most costumers. What drive-through means? Think if you need one taco 🌮 and you have to wait sometimes even more than one hour and when you are tired of waiting then there is no way going back because 20 cars are waiting behind your car. 👎🏻 not going to go there anymore.

We've been at this Laguna Blvd. DEL taco many times with no issues, but tonight was different! We ordered from the drive-thru 12 each Taco Tuesday special crispy ground beef tacos, 2 for $6 Del-beef burritos and two Crunchtadas. When we opened up our order at home we were stiffed for the two burritos and all 12 of the beef tacos were filled with beans not beef! Besides being taken for the missing burritos, the Tuesday Tacos were overpriced at $1 each instead of the correct price of $0.89 each! All of what I stated above is correct and validated by their own location on-line menu and my printed receipt. Unfortunately, we live too far from the store to to back and deal with them. I highly recommend that each customer check their order in detail before accepting it and leaving the premises, so they too don't get ripped off of over $8.40 total.

This del Taco on bruceville and Laguna has to be one of the worst del tacos I've ever been to. I will not be going back to this place ever again unless you guys tear the building down and hire new construction workers to build a new building and hire new employees to actually care about their service. I have waited in this line for tacos and burritos for more than 30 minutes which is ridiculous. If anybody cares about this business they will regroup and really put some thought into who they hire. No one wears gloves while handling the food, very unsanitary environment. It's as if you have homeless people running this place. How hard is it to stuff meat into a pre-made taco shell, or how hard is it to warm a tortilla and stuff it with the ingredients? I have grown up on del Taco and this experience has made me never want to go to another del Taco again..... This place is gross.....

I have come here three times in the past two weeks and have got my order wrong. This last time my order was put together very poorly. My fries were cold and my fish taco looks like it was reheated in a microwave. The tortilla on my taco was also a quarter missing. Horrible service not going back ever again.

Got to this location at 11:20, door was locked but drive thru was open. A family was outside eating and said "ridiculous right?". Guess I'll bring my lunch money elsewhere from now on. Good job Del Taco! You chased away another customer!

Hopefully it was an anomaly. But I had a very subpar experience. I placed my order on their app and went to the drive thru to pick up my order. The line was long and slow (not unexpected for a Saturday night). I received my order and I realized that items were missing. I called the restaurant (the drive thru line was still quite long and the lobby was closed due to COVID restrictions). The employee told me that my missing items would be brought out. After 15 minutes I called again. This time I talked with the manager. They told me that the employees were not able to leave the building and I would have to rejoin the drive thru line. I got back in line and waited another 20 minutes to get my food. Del Taco did replace all my items, but due to the wait; my food was cold. They explained that they were short staffed. Moral of the story, please check your order before pulling away from the drive thru.

AWFUL AND RUDE Drive Thru employee. She shorted me $5. My bill was $8.18 and I gave her$13.20. She gave me 2 cents and I asked where my $5 was. She said that I gave her $8.20. Advised I did not as I didnt have a $5 bill. She said her $10 drawer was empty. I think she put it in with the $1 bills. She then proceeded to talk trash to the gentleman who stepped in to help. He gave me my $5 and she's is yelling in the background it's not my fault if the drawer is short. He said it was his drawer anyway and it wouldn't be on her. He handed me my food and apologized. As he is closing the window, she says to him "why you apologizing to her". Completely uncalled for and possibly the rudest person I have dealt with in a long time. If you are thinking about going to this Del Taco, I would think twice. I know I will NEVER go back to that location...

Went here in the early evening. All the employees looked irratated. Took a long time for someone to come take my order. I had a problem with my food. I told the guy, and he got in my face and said, 'if you don't like it you can get out.' Then he threatened to call the police to kick me out. He was crazy. Over for this place.

Hey, but for real, this was a terrible experience. I was in that dining room for 45 minutes waiting for food. I walked out rather than wait any longer, clearly they need the money cuz they are short staffed or something because seven tacos shouldn't take 45 minutes. I should clarify, the original order "only" took 20 minutes. But they messed that order up, and then I waited another 25 minutes for them to fix it and they didn't. I felt genuinely stupid leaving that store, not because I asked them to fix the problem, but because I waited 45 minutes for 7 tacos when I could have gone to Taco Bell and waited 2 minutes. Serves me right I guess, also the app totally sucks. I ordered those tacos without lettuce and the app didn't tell them or maybe they just don't know how to read. I don't know. I'm not a fortune teller, I just wanted some tacos, man.

Even if there are very few cars ahead of you, you will wait in the drive through for 20 to 30 minutes. I've been to this location over 10 times with no change in wait time. The last time, I skipped the drive through which wasn't moving and went inside to see about 5 people waiting for their orders at the front. One of the guys had been waiting for a long while and was expressing his frustration. Drive through not moving and the orders inside not going out. Not sure what the issue is at this location.

Drive through always takes forever, an item is usually missing, and employees really have that I dont care attitude. Its understandable if there's a long wait for a rush but the wait feels like its because the employees move as slow as possible. Finally got up to the window and saw two people who weren't doing anything and it took me 25 minutes to go from the speaker to the window, with two cars in front. Would not recommend coming to this one, its service is inconsistent at best

We stood in line at the counter for 15 minutes the shift supervisor was cooking another lady at drive through they looked at us several times but would not help us they wouldn't take our order and me and my wife are both elderly I understand that a lot of young people don't like elderly people but we ended up leaving and they didn't even say anything to us they wouldn't help us!

This location has become so bad I don't even want to keep giving it the benefit of the doubt:( I'm an assistant manager in a restaurant where I work and almost every time I've been here my order is wrong or my tacos are broken and falling apart. I'm currently sitting in the drive through behind the person in front of me. I gave up on trying to place my order. The gentleman that tried could not understand what I was trying to order and it was on a picture display. He kept asking me what number after asking me four times what I wanted to drink when I asked what it came with he responded with what to you want. I just needed to know what it came with because most places upcharge for coffee or orange juice.I buy breakfast 5 days a week and It would be nice to switch things up and go here more often but today was the last straw. The numbers for dinner were still up, I had no clue what number the meal was on the picture. After the gentleman's confusion I told him never mind it's fine, yesterday I got just the breakfast tacos in the picture instead of the meal and they forgot to put the hash browns in the tacos. I didn't trust them to make my order right today so I sat behind the person in front of me for 15 min until he finally received his food and I could leave. Sadly, I will not be back to this location and if I have time I will be speaking to the management staff about their conduct of service this morning. Great food, poor workmanship.

If I could give this no stars I would. Spent 27$ for barely ANY food, basically got tortilla burritos, the chili cheese fries had maybe 10 fries total in the box, do not get the birria street tacos, they look nothing like they do on the picture and taste like carne asada, the value menu tostada was just a lump of beans, they couldn’t even be bothered to spread it around. Just overall awful. Never coming back here I’ll stick to Taco Bell

It's weird but sometimes I would stop by the drive thru around 3-4 am but no one's answering. Drive thru supposed to be a open 24 hours. I can see the employees inside but they look like they were trying to hide from me and purposely turn off most of the lights inside but despite that I could still see them. Management might want to look into this.(On 04/15/25 it happened again around 3:03 AM. I was completely ignored by the staff this time. I guess the drive thru is not open 24 hours. Misadvertising.)

Staff needs another refresher on customer service. You don't tell your customer when they're ordering, "is that it?" You sound so rude and disrespectful that way. You are TAUGHT in those videos that you are forced to watch to say, "What else can I get you?", or "would that complete the order?" Also, my order of deluxe fries was cold and soggy. The casheir at drive thru tried to lie and say they were fresh, that they just came out, yet all I felt was nothing but cold fries. Then, the cashier got annoyed when asked to redo them. They only had 3 customer before I came to the window, so this is just laziness and arrogance. I was told to wait 2 minutes for my new order up in the parking lot and waiting almost 10 min for them. You're better off going to Del Taco on Sheldon.

Terrible. Went through drive through Saturday night around 8pm oct 24th, the sloppy dirty looking chick shorted me $10, I had to point out they gave me $1, not $11 like I was owed. Ordered tacos that were pretty much empty. Very disappointing.

Customer service garbage didn't give a crab about you. And they're waiting time

When you ask for extra extra cheese and you don’t get what you paid for. This is ridiculous. This has not been the first time this has happened. I will not be returning to del taco again.

Only 2 people working, no one at the register, 1 young employee out front sitting on top of a table yelling at someone on his phone threatening to pull a pew pew, no paper towels in bathroom, no service at the register, this place should close. As a family we felt unsafe.

Worst service ever! They're always backed up, understaffed (probably because management can't hire more to keep cost down), and always mess up orders. I just don't understand why ALL fastfood workers should get paid $20/hr. Some deserve while those like these establishments absolutely don't! I've added pictures of my epic "guac" burrito and the $2.49 plus tax funnel cake fries for reference. Maybe 6 to 8 little funnel fries at max. Added some medium sauce to help my burrito. What a waste of money! I would not recommend this location to anyone or maybe Del Taco in general.

I went through the drive-thru at around 2 a.m. and ordered two soft tacos, a chicken quesadilla, and fries. The meat in both the tacos and the quesadilla was burnt and tasted terrible. The fries were overcooked and had way too much salt. It was a total waste of money. I won’t be going back.

Ordered rice for three. It was not cooked. Went to the counter and told the manager. She gave us three more uncooked rice bowls. Mean while all the employees were grunting, and trying to make us feel bad for telling them. This was a very bad experience. No wonder we were the only customers.

Never order delivery from them in the morning AM hours. this is the 3rd time they completely mess up the order and give random items you didn’t order. my dasher told me that was the only bag the worker (a guy) gave so they just make random items and put it in the bag. and they didnt even make my shake, it was just a dragonfruit soda. unacceptable and disappointing
