Great, cheap, authentic asian food and Dim Sum. Service was excellent: we literally were served within 1 minute of sitting down as they have carts of food going around to everyone. Prices were good, the food was flavorful, waiters were attentive and kind.... I don't really have any complaints.

Not really much of a trendy atmosphere but I wasn't looking for that. The atmosphere was exactly what I want to see in a spot like this. This spot is a gem. Food is overall fire, I've had better soup dumplings but never at those prices. Overall super happy with the food and prices. I'll be back for sure

Excellent dining experience!! I thoroughly enjoyed the food and it was a pleasure to go there. I went with two dear friends who treated my wife and I to a fantastic dining experience. Our friends were from Hong Kong and had been here for the familiar experience. Í am very adventurous as far as eating things that are different and that are different. My wife is very limited in her opinion of trying different and new things and if it doesn't look like a hot dog or a chicken leg she usually shies away from. But she was open and receptive to trying some of these unfamiliar dim sum. The aromas and the textures helped greatly. Our friends ordered and gave us all a great dining experience. We will be back again. Variety is great and service is very accommodating.

Love dim sum. There was 21 of us on a Sunday around 1pm and only had a few minutes wait to be seated, Ate for over 2 hours and everything was wonderfully delicious. Suprisingly there weren't many choices for vegetables offered which left me disappointed.

Surprised at the quality and taste! I had given up on LA-level culinary cuisine after having moved up to Sacramento. I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor and quality of the food for their prix fixe dinner option. The roasted pig with crispy skin and seemingly air fried chicken were delicious. The fried rice might have been fried with butter it was so flavorful. I heard that the restaurant used to be packed pre-pandemic for dimsum. Service was definitely slow while I was there - likely cause of staffing shortages + rush of customers with Chinese new year. Took almost 2 hours to get all 8 dishes.

We'll Seasons is always good. Plenty of space so it's always a worthy option even if it's getting late. We even went there at 1pm and didn't really have to wait. Only at the prime time dim sum time will you experience a wait. Good selection and friendly staff. What's great is that it's a dim sum place open everyday. Classic dim sum place; rolling dim sum carts. Definite recommend for dim sum in Elk Grove. Before this place opened I had to go to South Sacramento to get good dim sum, now I have a good time sum option in Elk Grove. I'm born and raised in the SF Bay Area, so I'm comparing this to Bay Area dim sum. Well Seasons is a solid dim sum place.

The people that work here was very nice. A young lady helped us with our meal and she recommend a few things which we did get and I must say everything was so tasty and good the vegetables were so nice and fresh and the place was really clean I will be going back there again

Had the best food! Chicken feet were amazing and the dim sum was really good. Service was also pretty great.

Always satisfied. It gets busy and service drops a bit but not that bad. The food does change variety a little bit. They should circulate more food more often. They usually circulate the desserts most of the time. They don't usually have most of their domain circulating so if you're not a dim sum frequenter you may not know what to order and would just rely on the few selections offered by the carts

Even in this pandemic times you can enjoy a wonderful dinner at this place were everything is clean the food is delicious and the service is very good first time here and I will be back

I really love the food here! The space is really open so even when it's packed, it doesn't feel claustrophobic. Service is attentive, but not hovery. I've mostly had the dim sum, but there’s an extensive menu from which I've liked pretty much everything I've tried. The prices are fantastic for the value, in my opinion. It's a really fun thing to do with a group of friends or family. If you go on a weekend evening, it will likely be busy and they'll be going around with carts of dim sum that you can pick from, but lunch / weeknight dinner it's usually quiet they give you a menu so if you get stage fright or don't like crowds, you can avoid them if you go at the right time!

Awesome Dim Sum and staff! Me and my dad were driving through CA state and stopped here for dinner when we read the good reviews. They have a big selection of dim sum and other dishes and everything came out hot and flavorful! We were not disappointed! We were very satisfied with our meal and we paid and left. We drove about 8 hours and stopped at a hotel in OR state, only to realize that my dad had left his credit card by accident at this restaurant. We called and the staff were so kind and understanding, they immediately mailed the card back home to WA state and we just received it today! If we lived closer we would come here often! Highly recommend the food and atmosphere! Thank you Well Season Dim Sum!

This is my family's first choice when craving dim sum. It's reasonably priced for quality food and great choice selections. They can get pretty busy about 30 minutes into opening so we try to go early as possible.

Great dim sum. It is very convenient, but it can get crowded on weekends or holidays. Still, we were lucky to get a quick table even though there was a large crowd on Labor Day weekend. Carts are constantly circulating, so the food gets to you quickly.

The food was amazing! Very authentic and tasty. Ordered the orange chicken and it was divine. The vegetable fried rice was very good as well. Beef chow fun was great, the meat wasn't tough at all. The dim sum was also very tasty. Don't sleep on this place! Very spacious with tons of seating inside

Delicious dim sum in the Elk Grove area of Sacramento. The restaurant has giant TVs to play sports games and other news. The food comes out steaming hot on carts. There are too many things to try and will require multiple trips.

Sat down and had 3 carts come up to table right away around 11:30am on a Saturday. No waiting and servers were nice. Food was good. Just remember they already take a 15% tip on bill. That’s fine by me, since I was aware of this.

Love this dimsum spot. There's always carts going around and a ton of variety. If it's not in the cart and you order it, it still gets to you pretty fast. Service is a typical dimsum place and everyone seems pleasant and won't push to give you what you don't want which I like.

Delicious dim sum. My favorite here are Siu My, shrimp balls, tripe, baked bao, my goodness! A lot! I'm very particular with hot tea in restaurants. Their hot tea is 🔥! I will come back, of course. Check this place out if you like dimsum. This was not my 1st visit. There's 4 Siu My per serving and not 5. Photos are my food to go. 😁

Amazing traditional dim sum joint. There's a few bad reviews on here, but you can ignore them. Every single plate we ate was excellent. The pork buns, shu mai, and har gow we're exceptional. And the sticky rice and egg tarts were flawless. If you love dim sum, you will not be disappointed.

This was my 1st time here, and I have got to say it was pretty Good! My friend enjoyed their ox tails with a side of steamed rice and I ordered Shrimp noodle rolls and shrimp dumplings. The food was delicious and the everyone there was very nice. I'm not someone who likes beef but I did try the vegetables that were cooked with the oxtails and I couldn't get enough, amazing flavor. The price for their dim sum isn't too bad and the price for the box tails was reasonable. Definitely worth many more visits. I give it 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤.

Love that we have a dim sum place in elk grove. Kinda pricey in comparison to Nathan's. Dim sum is good, been there several times and haven't had any issues, until the last visit. Waited 1 hour and 7 minutes for a to go order, was super pissed fortunately or 4 year old was sleeping in the truck otherwise it would have been a worse wait. To top it off something didn't agree with the wife and she had the runs. Only one dish that she ate that I didn't, which was a beef and broccoli dish. Kinda been shell shocked and haven't been back yet, but I am sure that we will give it another chance.

Food was really good. Service mostly fast. Only thing and this to me is a dim sum specific is that the food was cold when served. I think they could do better keeping the food warmer. All in all will definitely go back and highly recommend.

First time dining in at a Chinese restaurant since pandemic. Was nice the table are spread far apart from each patrons. Food was delish. Note: 1. It was weird and rude the staff started vacuuming the floors while we are still eating. If you are dining an hour before closing time, be warn! 2. It is on pricier side for Chinese food. Other than that, I do recommend the food here.

c

Your typical dimsum restaurant with endless of food carts going around. Taste of food were OK not the best but the abundance of choices makes up for it. They can definitely work on better service. The orange chicken was more batter and very little of the chicken.

Q
Queenie Lam

Everything else was fine and reasonable except for one dim sum lady there. I asked for one little dish on her cart but she gave me a different one. Not such a big deal actually, but her attitude was like demanding me to pay for her mistake. She didn't even apologize, just said "Oh, I already cut it. There's no difference between any of them." I refused it. She started yelling at me in the dining hall. All other waiters and Manager pretended they didn't see nor heard anything about it.

Lots more than Dim Sum. Asked for salt and pepper asparagus and shrimp that were good but no sauce with it. Had to wait for someone to come by to ask for some kind of sauce. Wanted a small soup to go with my meal but they only have a big size.

Enjoyed indoor dining for the first time since the end of 2020. Chose dim sum to celebrate a family members bday and it was a great decision. The dishes were freshly prepared and steaming hot, maybe because it was made to order and brought to our table directly. Waiter was hard to get a hold of at times but other than that, great experience. Would recommend!

R

Food was very good and the restaurant did reasonable during Mother's Day Dinner service. Would wish places like this would send out rice and noodle dishes earlier though. Definitely recommend the fish maw soup, roasted chicken and duck, pork belly, and chow fun with gravy. We had a table of 11 and ordered 13 dishes with half of them being seafood dishes and our total came up to around $390.

My husband and I came here for lunch. When we walked in no one greeted us (but at least 5 different workers made eye contact with us). Once we got seated, they gave us hot tea ($1) and the food came rolling by, which was awesome!!! We grabbed 7 dishes (4 large $4.xx each and 3 medium $3.xx). There was a great selection of different dishes and the staff was extremely friendly. They change their table covers each time a customer leaves so everything is super clean. I was extremely happy with my first experience here and left extremely full.

Came here around lunchtime on a Sunday. Was very busy, which was a good sign. Had a short wait of about 10 minutes. We were given hot tea immediately after being seated. Dim sum certs came around quickly and very frequently; the servers were more than helpful in describing each dish, although there was a bit of a language barrier. Food was very good, but was not expecting one of the dishes (suckling pig) to be $22! Other than that, good meal and good service.

R
Raman Banwait

The food is really good. Probably the best in this area. The only thing is that if you get here too early to beat the crowds you miss out on some food because they bring it it later. But if you come later then you gotta wait to sit. Life is hard.

V
Vaddana Vutthy

There were lots of variety of dim sums, more than what I'm normally use to; carts and carts of goodies. And you don't have to wait very long. You can always see the carts roaming around. Which is a good thing. I hate to have to wait around for the carts to come out of the kitchen and to you. Service was great too, friendly. The only thing i was hoping for was the flavors. With the name "well season ", it was not that. But that's my taste. Other than that, liked it

L
Leo Bar

I only go here because of their chicken and salted fish fried rice. My wife likes their roasted duck. All the other food we tasted are just ok, but we will keep going here because of the 2 we love. Service is usually quick and friendly, but it all depends on how many customers they have. For some reason, we come at a time when its is just us or maybe 1 or 2 other tables are occupied. There was one time when there were 5 tables occupied and service was slower than usual but still faster than most other restaurants, I think.

The food is decent, I just don't like not knowing what the bill is going to be. You have to stop eating just so you can avoid paying an unknown amount until you get to the register.

One of the better Chinese Restaurants in Elk Grove. Service was good, and the food gets out pretty quickly. Usually when we are hungry this is our go to place if we do not feel like cooking. Been here several times and I would say their weekend brunch is the best because they go around with the dim sum carts, though expect it to be really busy at that time of course.

Fun dim sum spot where they roll around with the carts and you pick what you want. Servers were friendly and super helpful. Traditional place so wasn't always sure what everything was. Traditional food too so some things had a classic taste.

Large place, crowded, but fast turnover of tables. Lots of carts with food all the time so you don't wait around for food. Good Dim Sum. Hong Kong style so there were items we'd never seen before in Sacramento.

T

BOMB dim sum. Do try their chef specials and mango pudding. Also a tip: double check pricing. My friends and I got a tiny plate of duck for $22 which was not worth. Otherwise, this place is absolutely delicious if you want a bite of dim sum and I highly recommend it!

D
David Vallerga

It was good. The best part is plenty of seating. The next best thing with dim-sum is simply picking from the cart and starting to eat. This is really good when you have hungry littles... The food is decent. It's really good if you consider it's in Elk Grove. I read some reviews about staff not being nice. Everyone we talked to smiled and were helpful. Overall I think it was a nice experience and I'm sure we will be back. The only downside was the number of people smoking right outside the door. The smoke smell followed us in the restaurant. When we left, it followed us to our car. I would hope there could be a way in and out without cigarette smoke.

Good Cantonese food. The roast duck had crispy skin which is hard to find. Most places the skin turns up rubbery.

Fun Dim Sum restaurant on the weekends. The food is delicious, highlights being the chow fun and shrimp dumplings. It’s large so we only waited 10 minutes on a Sunday afternoon. Prices during dim sum are reasonable. If you’re new to Dim Sum, it’s a style of eating where the staff walk around restaurant with different carts of food. You choose which cart/food you’d like and pay per dish. For those familiar with Elk Grove, the location is the old home town buffet. Ample parking.

For the most part the food was tasty. It was a bit quiet with roughly 15 patrons total, eating an early dinner. The Peking ribs were a bit sweet and slightly overcooked. The shrimp and beef dishes, along with the noodles were savory. The hot and sour soup was very delicious.

Well Season Dim Sum Seafood Restaurant is very close to my home. I come for dim sum and dinner with friends and family many times. Their food is good most of the time. The service is fast unless they're shorthanded. The parking lot is big, clean, and safe. Parking is a little hard to get on the weekends around noon.

Came thru here on a Sunday morning. Weekend before Mother's Day rush. Arrived around 11:30AM. The restaurant was about 70% full. Service was okay. The dim sum options and variety here are much more than what we have in Stockton. I was recommended by other families to come here. By the time we left there was about 15 parties on waiting list. This place can be very busy. 15% gratuity charge will automatically be added to check.

I came to this restaurant for a wedding reception and I loved the whole experience: the staff was attentive and cordial, the crab claw croquettes were delicious, the crab fried rice was a dream, and the starter soup was savory but subtle. The jasmine tea was a nice alternative for a non-drinker at a reception. I'm looking forward to going back for dinner again.

Pretty good Cantonese food. It's one of those truly "authentic" places with round dining tables, fish tanks full of live fish and crab and lobster, and canto/mandarin speaking wait staff. There is a limited dim sum menu. Would stick to Canto dishes (Xiao long bao is a Shanghai cuisine) like chicken feet and turnip cake (lo bak go). Deep fried shrimp balls were okay but not the best. Ordered some dim sum dishes that were good for Sacramento quality. Also ordered fish maw with crab meat soup which tasted good. Steamed three colored egg was smooth and silky, just how I like it. Hokkein pan fried noodles came with a crispy layer of rice noodles on top and a bunch of meat/veggie/filling underneath. Wasn't what I was expecting but it was okay.

There is something to be said for eating at a restaurant outside of their normal busy schedule. We arrived at Well Season in Elk Grove around 7 PM on a Sunday evening. This place is designed for accommodating more than a hundred people during their normal dim sum brunch time where they push items on carts through a cavernous, noisy crowd of diners. The atmosphere at 7 PM is quite the contrast. We entered a nearly empty restaurant that was clearly overstaffed by servers with nothing to do but hover close to the couple of guests sparsely populating the dining area waiting for the slightest call for assistance. In the evening, all dim sum is made to order for the few patrons that frequent the restaurant during the evening which guarantees that the food will be freshly cooked. We checked off a few items and ordered a couple of items on the main menu as well. First to arrive was the soup and a heaping plate of steamed Chinese broccoli. The broccoli was cooked just right and when dipped in the plum sauce sauce tasted delicious. The soup was supposedly some kind of fish ball mixture but as far as I was concerned, it tasted more like a type of seaweed mixed with a little bit of imitation crab. Not a bad taste but not quite matching the server's description. Next came the dim sum one after the other. Everything tasted really good, including the shrimp balls, fried meatballs, pork bao, potstickers and sweet sesame balls. Last to arrive was the meat wrapped in rice and bamboo leaves aka zongzi ( 粽子). Unfortunately, they didn't steam it thoroughly and the meat in the center was partially frozen. The waitress apologized profusely and arranged for a replacement which didn't arrive until we had finished eating and asked for the check. Oh well, we took it home to be eaten as leftovers. So if you get a craving for dim sum in the evening come to this place and give the army of servers and assistants something to do besides just stand there.

It's quite a nice place for dinner and dim sum. . Came here for dim sum they have all the regular traditional dim sum dishes such as shu mai, shrimp dumpling, chicken feet, tripe, beef meatball, and etc. The dim sum quality is great. I think this might be the second best place for dim sum compared to new Hong Kong islander on. Freeport. . I have been here for banquet for wedding or big celebrations. They have tables that fit 10 people. You can order tables and it comes with food depending what menu you pick. Each table could feed 10 people or more easily and each table can cost up from 200plus and up. . A sample banquet menu we had was soup, appetizer, entree with scallop and squid, abalone and sea snail with mustard green, seabass, lobster, fried rice, honey walnut shrimp, and etc. . We all bad a good time at the banquet. Nice bright windows for natural lighting as well lots of spot likes, the inside is clean a d comfortable, and space is ok not too crowded where you cant walk comfy. Its fit 200 people and up easily. . Overall if you come here for brunch it's a great choice, or a nice dinner for a small group, or even hosting a banquet is a great place here. Thanks for reading and where do you like to dim sum in Sacramento? Any recommendations? Why? Thanks

Food is decent and the service is terrible unless you are non-asian or have connections to the owners. I already had a bad experience with their service before, but I wanted to give it a chance since the kitchen at Hong Kong Island burned down. A waiter knocked over and cracked the beer glass while putting food down and didn't think to replace our beer. Just walked away as if nothing happened and didn't even bring over any napkins to wipe down the mess. I completely understand that you won't receive any decent service at Chinese restaurants, but when it gets to the point where I lose my appetite, there's a problem.

D

Very decent dim sum and located right in the elk Grove area (short drive for us). Lots of variety on the carts and have torn us away from our favorite spot of Happy Garden which we have frequented on Sunday mornings. Service was on par and facility is very clean (as opposed to happy garden's dated and dirty restrooms). Probably a cleaner kitchen than happy garden's if the restrooms are the comparison.

I tried Dim Sum only at this restaurant. Taste…mediocre. Dim Sum (ds) tasted all the same. I think they used same ingredients for most ds (bcoz each tasted almost the same) and wrapped them differently to show distinctions of each item. I have had better dim sum in other places like Chinatown in SF. I can distinctly tell by taste of what I’m eating NOT just by looking at the wrapper used. At this restaurant, each (ds) Cost: S=$3.50 (2pc item); M=$4.50 (3pc item); $5.25 (4pc item). Prices are estimates but should be close if not more. I had 7 items paid $47+ $7 (EXPECTED TIPs) = $54. Therefore dim sum cost me $6.71 a plate…not cheap for something that tasted mediocre. Also to be fair the $47 included $3 for tea. It’s a 3 star bcoz I came for the food NOT service NOT atmosphere…food just ok.

P

Food is very bland. Service is okay. If you dine here with a party of 2 to 5, be ready for a 15% tip to be included in your bill. Order to go if you have a party of 2.

Went for Dim Sum with my parents and overall it was just average. I don't know if I would go back with other options in the area, but we wanted to try something new. Location is clean but I would prefer to have good food. 4 adults $100 bill so about average for dim sum.

M
Maya Hawj

This is just my opinion. Would I recommend this place ? Most likely not. The food is decent , the service is good! But it’s just like any other dim sum place. Furthermore I order pork belly ( wished I have taken photos). 2 small plate =$40 😁. I was appalled. Had I known I would have gotten it elsewhere.

Our first time here. We ate lunch on a weekday and the following are my observations. Spacious and open. Clean. Not too busy. Staff was attentive. Food was average to slightly above average. We had to order a vegetable dish as we didn't see any going around. They come out at 11 and 11 came and went with no vegetables. We still prefer the dim sum spots on Stockton Blvd even though they are busier. This place is ok and it's closer to home.

L
Lue Her

We did a Google search for "dim sum near me" and came to this busy parking. Took the chance and experienced a chaotic seating process. It's fight to get seated here. The food staff were overwhelmed with the Sunday crowd. Food quality was average. Nothing worthwhile to spend the time and hassle for poor service.

I love dim sum and this place is certainly authentic. A huge menu of traditional Chinese cuisine that you won't find many places, especially in Elk Grove. I came for the dim sum though and that menu was not so robust. It's also only served for lunch, so FYI. The food was good, service so so, and prices pretty average. They have a HUGE TV that is always on which wasn't the best with small kids. I'll stick with my go to dim sum places towards downtown.

C
C L

Out of all the dim sum choices around here I would say this one is the best. Food wise they have a large selection and they still serve in the traditional way of pushing carts around. There is typically a wait here if you go during lunch hour. And like many good Chinese places the service can be lackluster it's difficult to get your water filled so in the beginning I just ask for a pitcher.

C
Chris Dao

Not bad, but also not great. At the very least, the servers make their rotations often (for dim sum) giving you a good opportunity to pick what you want from the carts, and the restaurant is also pretty clean. HOWEVER, the food selection is kind of small, so you’ll see the same 4 types of carts roll by with zero variance in dishes.

L
Liz Bethoney

We came when it was not busy at all, and I think this is one of those places where it's better to come when it's a bit busier. There were two carts with dim sum, and we aren't as familiar with names, so we picked a few and didn't know we could ask for other options. The flavors were good and we enjoyed what we got. We had to flag down a server to ask for a drink other than tea, though. Once we got our food they were not as attentive. Not bad service, but it was not as attentive for there only being 3 tables sat and 5 people serving. We would try it again, but at a slightly busier time, and I'd maybe look up some options to ask for.

C
Connie Lu

I have came here before covid for a long time and the food back then was decent the price was great(dim sum only). I recently went back and sad to say it’s disappointing, the food is kinda bland now. And let’s not talk about the prices, I legit order maybe 6 dim sum and the bill was $80 close to $90, couldn’t believe it.

A
Alma Timbreza

The food was ok, but I had dim sum better than this place. The staff was friendly but not as attentive. I had to raise my hand to get the servers attention. The chicken feet was plain the flavor was not there for me. The beef tripe was good. The Chinese broccoli was too hard to chew. The pad seew smelled good but when I ate it, there was no flavor tasted plain had to add soy sauce. We sat there for awhile thinking they were gonna give us the bill. It was our first time there so we just got up and went to the cashier to pay. There was a notice that says 2-5 people there’s 15-18% gratuity added.

Food was good. The portions were large. My disappointment was it was $11.95 for plain, garlic string beans. I thought that was overpriced. Be aware and get an itemized statement. Went and they added $2.00 for some reason. Also, ordered Peking Duck and when it got home, it was roast duck. Called back and they said it was Peking Duck. Had no hoisin sauce or scallions. Disappointed because we're trying to support our restaurants and are feeling ripped off.

Was excited to get dim sum but this place was a little disappointing. Service took awhile to get to us. Had to ask multiple times for water and when giving us the food I saw them giving others the warmer food from below and gave us the colder food from the top. Food was good and a few of the dish were really good but didn't seem like they had much variety with vegetables and had to side order it which was a lot more expensive than I expected for a small dish. Overall expensive place and they charge 15% graditudity for 2-5 people already and 18 for 6+. Expensive place for sub-par service and food.

When I arrived, I am one person eating as my children had gone to school and hubby was at work, it was a last minute spur of craving. Guess what?! There were several empty BIG tables, they only have 2 smaller tables that take 5 persons which were taken, the waiter told me that I would have to WAIT until those 2 tables cleared! So I questioned him why do I have to wait don't you have several empty tables?! Was when he went to ask his manager IF it was ok to sit me at one of their empty tables! What?! So I arrived before anyone else did, and they expect me to sit around wait and wait until those 2 tables of customers are done eating and leave? Such bad lousy attitude and service. I am also not too happy that when the bill came, they don't give you a breakdown what was charged as they know we Chinese people hardly ask for detailed breakdown as it could look like they want to come to a restaurant to eat yet they are concerned about how much they would have to pay so this a "want face" culture thing, but it certainly reflect that this restaurant could make a mistake or add any amount to the bill without their customers ever knowing it! Food was fresh and taste alright but so OILY as dim sum are expected to be.

1-22-18 So the Husband and I came back to see if they have improved. There were maybe 10 -12 tables occupied with varied numbers of people per table. Service was efficient and trolley servers were coming back several times. The items that we did not get to see at all before were all out. We came at around 1pm this time around. I hope this holds true when they are busy. I updated my 2 stars to 3 stars. I came here today with a Friend for lunch. They are open from 1030-2230 daily so we came at 1100. The establishment did listen to the previous customers and/or read the reviews. The food was not salty. The reason for the 2 stars is - compared to other dimsum restaurants I have been to, there was a lack in the constant flow of staff with their trolleys of food and staff offering to take anyone's a la cart order. 2 Families beside us left after just 1 or 2 trolleys coming by. Mind you, they told the ladies seating everyone that the staff "Had" to go around and offer "Everyone" their food. We were seated by the windows in the back of the restaurant. A lot of people were walking up to the trolleys to get their food which a customer, should not have to do. We came on a weekday but it was still packed. We stayed until 1300 and only then did the other seafood options start coming out. We both just eat seafood and vegetables. If they did a survey of Elk Grove before opening, they would have learned there are a bunch of Foodies in our neighborhood, Myself included. At the end of our meal, one lady started pulling our tablecloth. My Friend had to stop her and tell her we were still taking our teas. I was shocked. If they study their performance daily and listen to their community like other local establishments, they may have a shot in Elk Grove and then maybe I can update this review. The staff are dressed in well designed uniforms which was a plus. As far as just opening, I am well aware of that. There are several places that have opened in the last year and by the time their soft openings were done, they had their act down pat so that is no longer an excuse. Business 101-feasibility study of your target market. Price point is higher than most places. They are the only dimsum place in Elk Grove so they can demand, I guess. Let us not forget the place was vacant for a while. Rent must play a factor in this. Most locals of Elk Grove I know are willing to pay extra for quality food and service. Let us remember, part of the dining experience is no longer just the food, hence the name.

Having dined on dim sum all my life in Asia, I speak with some authority when I say that several of their dishes were substandard that include your basic staples. 2 of the 5 dishes we ordered were terrible. 2 were mediocre with one deemed acceptable. Thoughts of take-outs was immediately curtailed! Never again. With awesome competition up in Sac, they will not survive with such substandard quality on basic fare.

Came here for an event. Ordered some of their dim sum and walnut shrimp dish. The from sun wasn't that great. And the walnut shrimp was below par because of the use of canned pineapples in the dish. Service was average. Did take a while to get our dim sum and rice. Family friendly restaurant with plenty of parking. Restrooms are disgusting. I would not eat here again. The food isn't that great and is out of the way for me.

Food is decent but BEWARE - THEY CHARGE TIP WITHOUT TELLING YOU!!! We were there a few weeks ago and I’m just now going through my credit card receipts. Apparently they charged us a 15% tip without even telling us. AND we already paid a 20% cash tip on top of this. Service was good but it wasn’t that great. Not sure if we will be coming back since I hate feeling like we were scammed.

My friend who is Chinese wanted to take me and some other friends there for Chinese New Years so I went and the service was really bad. Waiters act like they can’t be bothered. It took a long time to get someone to take our order and get our check. The Waiters were more focused on the tables with Asian families. I feel they were discriminating a little bit because some of us weren’t Asian. Food was not worth the price at all. The workers don’t really speak English that well so it’s very hard to understand them. The place beautifully decorated inside. Don’t waste your time here.

The food was acutally good. But they charged 15% service fee for just 2 people. The only time we see the waiter was when he took our order, brought our food and bring our bill. So i dont know wheres the 15% service fee coming from.

They have a big screen TV... Too bad it's channels are from communist eras. About the food, it's tasteless junk. This place has to find a new cook. The costs are too high for the quality of food served here. You'd find better food elsewhere. Service is good, food is below average and not worth the cost.

Why was there a 15% service charge when only party of 4 ???..The only service was when they brought out my bill. Dim Sum wasn't that good compared to King Palace and Happy Garden. 1st time there and will be my last.

After waiting 20 minutes for seats when there were over 10 empty tables, we got seated. Then 2 minutes later the hostess came running and told us to get up and let another bigger group sit first. Huh? Imagine how embarrassing! I had honor guests drove from 2 hours away! Can the manager/hostess not seat that other group in one of the empty tables nearby? She said had to keep those in case of bigger groups come in. I don't think they'll have much more customers. For one, I'm not going back ever after such hilmiliation. She still didn't get it either.

I know it's the pandemic but if you are going to be open for dine in, at least try to do good for your customers. We asked 3 times and was there more than half way through our meal before they brought us water. The 2 carts coming by our entire meal had the same foods. They never checked on us once. They were tending to specific tables only so I don't know what the deal was. We did not leave a tip and will never go here again.

Haven’t been here in a year, 80% of the dim sum we order is terrible, price is outrageous $13 for small bowl mixed beef intestines, $9 for little bowl of pork blood that taste like rubber, they even add 15% gratuity for party of three, so disappointing

So I have been eyeing this restaurant for some time now and for a spot called well season the flavors where not there I was absolutely disappointed I got house fried rice and it tasted like rice period that’s it I’m almost 100% positive there was no soy sauce in it at all then I got salt n pepper shrimp and salt n pepper fish and it was soggy batter falling off flavor was kool if it was crispy maybe this place is just a dim sum spot I do not recommend and won’t be returning if I wasn’t almost home I’d definitely go back n get a refund

Food is great the service is horrible!!!! They are extremely rude when you ask them for refills or condiments they get really upset! Why???? Be more friendly it’s not hard. Will not return. I rather go to Panda Express and get better service!

Been here many times.. food is good but the service is the worse ever . You tell them what you want ,u point to the number on the menu., they still get it wrong. Then come back with a attitudes.

This place used be long wait when first open. As time goes the foods were down grade, this time was the worse foods ever, or service as well but they wanted 18% gratuities no less. It was Sunday but pretty quiet. Foods were so terrible. Westing $260. Down the drain.

I Wouldn't recommend eating to this restaurant. Dim sum is not good as I expected, plus very expensive for 2 people only ! we were charged 15% of their service, we didn't even have water and we only got 5 items for the total price of $58.84. This kind of restaurant is the reason why I forbid giving tips to restaurants, because they steal it from you as if their restaurant and their service is so good that customers owes them for their business. Warning ⚠️ DO NOT EAT HERE AND IF YOU DO CHECK YOUR RECEIPT. THIS PLACE IS TRICKY NO ENGLISH TRANSLATION., not unless you're Chinese and you don't mind dirt. ,but if you like clean and good food, this is definitely not the place.

This will be my first and last time eating at this restaurant, the service is horrible. My family plan to meet at the restaurant for dim sum, there is 8 of us and my 3 years old son. Since I got there first I put us on the wait list and was seated within 10mins which was nice. The waitress brought me water and tea while I waited for the rest of the family to arrive. After everyone arrived, I asked the waitress for 8 more glasses of water. I had to ask the waitress 4 time and we still didn't get our water, she had walk past the water station more than 6 times! My sister in law got tired of waiting for the water so she went to the water station and got us a pitcher of water and 3 cups and as she went back to get the rest of the cups the waitress gave her attitude, saying that she'll get the rest of the cups, which she did but she slammed it down on the table rudely. The worst service ever and even got charged for gratuity which I don't think they deserve. Food wasn't that great, if you want dim sum, go to HAPPY GARDEN or KINGS PALACE, they have more selection in dim sum and the service is way better.

If I could rate it negative stars I would. Absolutely the worst service I have ever received. I feel it was racially driven also. Everyone around us was being served and even tables being cleaned and we had only ordered drinks. The servers avoided eye contact and protended to not hear us as we called for help on ordering. We sat there for 20 minutes without any help and the wife and I decided to just leave. We weren't even noticed as we left walking by employees who were oblivious to the white man it seemed. The food does look delicious I will say that. Too bad we didn't get better service I was excited to try this place being I recently moved to Elk Grove.

Soy chicken entree was raw! The service was long and when I took it to the line cook, she said “it’s served like this”.... They made me a new dish that I had to wait for. I know chicken can not be eaten raw and bloody!

We arrived after 1:15 pm as the big lunch crowd was starting to thin out on a Sunday. After a brief wait, they seated us at the corner table right next to the entrance as that was the first table that became available. As soon as we were seated, we were swamped by multiple servers pushing the dim-sum carts and we had to ask them to come back later as there was already too much food on our table (that was good). After that, there were only a couple more carts coming by our table afterwards and we ordered more dishes as we ate. As the lunch crowd was thinning out while we’re eating, the staff were more focused on cleaning the tables rather than providing any service to the remaining 5-10 tables of customers (that was BAD customer service). I literally had to stand up and raised my hand with the teapot on my hand to get attention from the staff to refill our teapot with hot water. I also asked the staff for a couple of orders of the “sesame ball” dessert as the only remaining carts were only circling the few tables near the kitchen and they never came to our table. About 20 minutes later, our order of dessert still didn’t come out yet and we couldn’t get anybody’s attention to inquire about the status. I had to walk up to the cashier counter and asked for assistance. One of the cashiers (a manager or a part-owner, I assume) walked up to our table and I told her about our order that never arrived and she “offered” us the dessert at “no charge” but we told her we wanted to cancel the order instead since we were just finishing up whatever food we had on the table and were ready to leave afterwards. A couple of minutes later, a server brought 2 plates of sesame balls to our table and insisted that we had placed the order when I told her we’d canceled the order. Not trying to argue with her, we just accepted the order and she marked 2 more stamps on the order slip at our table. When we were ready for the check, the same cashier/manager came to our table and took our order slip to tally up the total bill. As I asked for a couple of containers to take home the leftover food, I also mentioned to her that the order of sesame balls finally came out. She didn’t say anything and when she brought the bill back, she conveniently “forgot” that she’d offered us the sesame balls “on the house” earlier but she still charged us for the order. We didn’t bother to remind her about her earlier (empty) promise and just paid the bill, including the 15% “service charge” that was added automatically for a table of 6 or more. This place is by far one of the worst place I’d ever experienced in terms of their customer service, and yet they added the 15% “service charge” for their nonexistent customer service. Bottom line: NOT recommended. There are other dim sum restaurants with better foods and service in the area.

My family walked in and were seated right away. They brought tea and water and said she would be right with us. 20 min later while others were being catered and served, we sat being ignored. They walked past us multiple times seeing that we still had our menus. Clearly we were the wrong race. Super disappointed.

charge 15% service fee for 4 people, i was told service fee and tips are too different thing, so now I'm paying for your employees wage now? never come back ever again.

I ordered the BBQ pork through DoorDash. This is what I got. The meat is way over cooked! And it was supposed to be half fat and half lean. Imagine when you chew it! Food quality is just horrible! This is $15.95 before tax.

Bad bad and more bad. I think one decent dish. For starters, Steam tables roll out the food should have steam as food dishes are small and room temperature changes the texture and flavor. The food is just not good. Prices are not commensurate with the quality and taste. Save money and find alternative.

This was our first and will be our last. We didn't mind the slow service since there was a wedding going on in the other half of the restaurant. We ordered 3 meat dishes which was ok but our broccoli dish came with these little critters.

Absolutely nasty, greasy, and poor customer service. The food, no matter what I ordered off the cart, always had that great look but once you try it you'll regret ever eating there. They pack in so much bread and fatty oil into each dish making it taste like pure fried oil. Whenever I would ask what a dish was, I was greeted with an unwelcoming tone , and my question would never be answered. Horrible all around, I do not recommend eating here. And did I mention the rotting fish? Yes there are half dead/ rotting fish in tanks. Now, they aren't for decoration, but for human consumption. This means none of their seafood dishes are fresh, I can't imagine what else there comes from rotting animals. If you are craving Chinese food, I beg you to just order some from a grocery store deli such as Raley's that offers incredible Chinese food, I have had multiple times.
