Good food, friendly server, orders came slowly as busy. The soup base was spicy. Ice cream was also delicious. Recommended.

This place is amazing , the service is top notch! The waiter was very tentative and the food was coming out really fast. This was our first time going to a place like this, the waiter took the time to explain to us how it all worked. He was even kind enough to recommend and add extra items that would go great with our choices. I would definitely go back and take the whole family.

Gogi is my new favorite Korean BBQ & Hot Pot Restaurant. There is a help yourself salad bar for the fresh watermelon, sauces, and other accompaniments. The food was outstanding. I like it even more than the other place in Elk Grove and that is saying a lot! Attentive service.

AYCE - 3 options, hotpot, Korean BBQ or both. The grills are get hot quickly. Fastest so far I have been to. The individual hotpot is good as well. There is quite a good selection of items for both the BBQ and hotpot.

I'll start of with 5 stars and see as I come back if it will stay there. 1st time here, I remember it being built pre pandemic then pandemic hit and it sat for 2 years. Glad they were able to make it through and still eventually open. it's a good option if you are craving kbbq and hotpot. came around 3 and best the rush, by the time we left at 5 there was a a few parties waiting to sit and all tables were full. if you're good at making your own sauces you'll enjoy it but if you don't know what to mix to make dipping sauces your meat could be lacking flavor. It's not a negative but more of a headsup to use their sauce bar. Order portions for meat are small so order more then 1 order of fhe meat if your a party of 4 or more. plus side you can try different protein and not get full so quick. Finger short ribs, tail flaps were my go-to. cheese. cheese mussel and oyster grilled were good. Free soda and hot sake for their soft opening and individual ice cream when your done to help yourself in the freezer up front.

Oh boy oh boy, put on your child seatbelts and get ready for my review. So let’s get started with some back story, my friend and I wanted to eat some Korean bbq and I’ve never been to one so he was like, I know this cool place and I was like let’s wait a week before we go so I can have $$$!! He was like okay! So the initial thought of the place. The place is really well organized, staff is super helpful and friendly. Like amazing staff. Professional and professional. Special shout out to Kathy, she was our waitress and was so amazing, I had some dumb questions, as it was my first time and we had burnt the pan like 3-4 times cause we are horrible cooks 😭. Alas though, she was amazing and extremely helpful. Special shoutout to her and because of her, I think I’ll start coming to this place more (hopefully to try the hotpot). The atmosphere and the design of the place is absolutely beautiful and I should’ve taken pictures but was too caught up on the food, it was delicious mind you. First time I had kimchi (10/10) and fish cake (12/10) and I fell in love with the fish cake, genuinely the best fish cake I’ve ever had (hopefully that’s what it’s called and I’m not mixing the names up). The food and beef was amazing. I loved it so so sooo much. The chicken is good but takes a bit to cook and that’s not on anyone, just chicken 🐓. I loved the beef so much, literally fell in love with it. Loved the ice cream on the way out asw and the fruit bar. Look I’m not gonna keep rambling but here’s what I will say. I’m def coming back and there isn’t a wait (on a weekday and lunch time) and TRY THIS PLACE, it’s worth the price. YALLA GO

I'm now just entering my review after eating at other hotpots/kbbq places. This place is SO worth it for it's price since it doubles as a hot pot and bbq. Service was amazing, selection was amazing, and the food was absolutely delicious. + I would definitely come here on an empty stomach because you can easily get full if you eat anything before hand.

Food was good. Our first server was really attentive to our need but when he left and we got a new server during his absense, the second one was a not as attentive. Overall, my experience was good and had no issue. 👍

Under the new owners this place is great. Ana, the owner, served us personally besides our waitress Sammer. They treated our party of 7 nicely. Of the few Korean BBQ’s, this the best!

Place is clean and looks very premium. It looks pretty spacious inside too. They had quick service whenever you place your order. However, for the amount you're paying, you'd want the meat cuts be a bit more premium. The cuts are in the same tier as some other cheaper Kbbq places but not by much. This doesn't affect much in my final rating as I feel it's still very much worth the price.

I love they're food choice and favorings, not everything is sweet. Their sauce bar is amazing. And if its your birthday, you get a chance to spin the wheel for a discount and if you're lucky, a free meal! 🫢 staff are friendly but they are busy and constantly running around, if you need napkins or to ask a question, make sure you ask them all at once.

I'm not a hotpot fan but this place is hot pot and Korean BBQ. Man I was putting the BBQ Meats in my hot pot. Awesome. I definitely like having individual controllable hot pot in front of me. Definitely reccomend

I had an amazing experience dining at the Gogi BBQ, at elk grove CA and a big part of that was thanks to Jollina! She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure everything at our table ran smoothly. From recommending great dishes to helping us grill just right, she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Her warm personality and excellent service really stood out. We’ll definitely be coming back—and hope to be seated in her section again!

First time here and the food was great. Love the fried dumplings, that was my favorite. It’s soft not hard and crispy like other places. Here, you get to choose however many appetizers and 6 choice of proteins. There’s a sauce and salad bar. The sauce was good, they even have chili oil and many choices to choose from. We didn’t try the hot pot this time but definitely will try it next time. Great and friendly staff. Parking was a bit packed because we went during dinner hours but wait time to get seated was right away.

Wow! We were totally impressed with the ambience and the welcoming we received once we entered this establishment. Our server Fivona greeted us with such admiration. She offered excellent hospitality. My grandson had been here before and wanted us to try out this restaurant. This restaurant offers Korean barbecue or the Hot Pot or both, we decided up on the Korean barbecue. This restaurant offers all you can eat. They allow up to 15 items to choose from. The variety of meat and fish were delivered to the table and what we chose were totally fresh and seasoned to perfect perfection. There’s a self service table that has all of the condiments, like whole & minced garlic, chop green onions, sesame seed oil, Hot oil, soy sauce, etc., including a variety of mixed fruit. For desert they have soft serve Ice cream cups. If you love well seasoned food, bring your taste buds and appetite. You will not go wrong. We will be back. Oh! By the way the bathroom was very clean and had a fantastic aroma.

Visited Gogi on a Tuesday afternoon, it was a little busy but we were seated fairly quick. There's AYCE KBBQ or hot pot, we went with the latter. There's a good selection of broth bases to choose from, the Thai Tom Yum was delicious, spicy and sour. Great selection of meats, noodles and veggies to choose from. Sauce bar was good. Complimentary ice cream when you're finished. Bathroom was clean. I gave service a 4 star only because they kept forgetting our veggies, otherwise servers were friendly and knowledgeable.

My friend’s BBQ & hot pot, very unique and great combination of BBQ and hot pot, not only the food are fresh, you got great selection of seafood and all kinds of BBQ beefs, smaller pot for self service to avoid big pot service issues. BBQ might need a bit of care, make sure you don’t over cook your meats. Great location and best of all you don’t have to wait too long in line, seats turn around fast and great service and servers are always helpful and fast.

One of our go-to spots for AYCE Korean BBQ with the hotpot addition as the icing on the cake! The menu is quite large which is a good problem to have. We have at least gone here 6 times in the last year and so far the service and food has not declined. The staff has consistently been kind and helpful. The turnaround for placing meat orders were quick and quite generous in portion each time. The restaurant itself is cozy with plenty of seating. Do be prepared to wait for a table during peak hours, but definitely worth it. We normally just wait in the bar or walk around the plaza until they send us a text which is very convenient. Our family will definitely be continuing to go here.

We've been here several times. The location in the Kolh's shopping center is fantastic, with plenty of parking. Service quality is inconsistent: it's only average when they're busy, but quite good if you arrive early. The meats are consistently fresh. On the downside, the atmosphere is quite dark and can get very noisy when crowded. Honestly, the best part for me is that it’s only a three-minute drive from home.

P

In a word: bountiful. Here, you will cook your own food, like your proteins, seafood, pork, beef and chicken. The protein options are pretty good and you can choose up to 6 options. There are a few options to choose from for your sides as well and some options you will need to cook, for example zucchini, red & green bell peppers, mushrooms, button or oyster mushrooms. There are plenty of small items available such as kimchi, pickle radishes, seaweed, pickled zucchini and many other appetizers. Before you know it, your table is full of dishes. Depending on the protein you ordered, determines how long it will take you to actually start eating. If you don’t mind cooking your own food at a restaurant, then this is the place for you. I especially liked the baby octopus and squid we chose and the spicy marinated pork belly, both were very tasty. But be careful with this all you can eat option because it is way more food than you think. We ended up leaving a lot of the meat on the table.

I really had a cool time coming here for the first time. Lol my first. I got the KBBQ and hot pot all you can eat combo. They go so well together because I can wash down the bbq with the hot pot watery goodness. And versa for the hot pot. I always wanted more meat with my hot pot. They have a starter menu before you start and the KBBQ sides. I got the spicy tofu for hot pot with a lot of mushrooms and veggies with mostly beef for the bbq. Too many items to list so I uploaded a lot of pictures.

This place is still good, but has changed. Used to be our regular spot on Mondays or gatherings with friend’s food is great especially the gogi house spicy for the hot pot it clears everything out especially if your starting a cold or just need clear your sinuses spicy and delicious. Favorite to grill are the finger short ribs my favorite. With smoked garlic pork belly. Definitely would give it a try if you’re looking for mix of grill and hotpot. I will say the staff has changed from when it first opened before they were very attentive, hope they see you or you get their attention. Still a good place to try out I recommend it even with minor changes. Still a great a place

It's soft opening now. We went there to try their BBQ for lunch. It's all you can eat. They have a variety of choices for meat for beef, pork, and chicken. The meat is overall very fresh and the seasoning is good. We have tried calamari which is also great and fresh. I like their salad bar too. The service is a bit slow, but they are just soft opening. I believe they will get better. We will go back again.

My group ordered both the kbbq and the hot pot. It’s almost too many choices. I didn’t get to try everything I wanted so I’ll have to go back. I did like being able to pick hot pot meats and cook it on the kbbq grill since I liked the meat choices better. Having a sauce bar is always nice. Wait can get pretty long. As we were leaving there were groups waiting outside so plan ahead.

If you love edm music this is the spot. Play all the major feel good hits from 2016-Now. Now the food was good but you have to make your own sauce. Now some people that know what they are doing this is the spot. As for me, I’m still learning the different kind of combos I like. The food was delicious after I added a few items. Overall not a great place for first timers. I had my full and it was under $30 for lunch. I recommend anyone who is hungry to come take advantage of this great value.

Delicious food! The spicy thai tom yum was a little... *sweet different* compared to Korean tomyum. I ended up switching to their tonkatsu which was very refreshing like a mild miso soup before the main course at japanese steakhouses. Personal hotpots didn't burn either! They had easy to use temperature dials for the heat of the personal hot plates. Kbbq was fun and yummy! Just didn't always receive what we ordered throughout the dinner (we had a party of 5). Bulgogi is always a safe and delicious choice. They also had quail eggs, and way more options of seafood and mushrooms than I've seen at other hotpot/kbbq places. Other than missing dishes, it's pretty great for a 2 hour unlimited limit!

First time here. The food was good. The service was great. The idea of AYCE Hot Pot and Korean BBQ seemed a little overwhelming but that's just my opinion. I'm sure that's the exact reason why this place attracts it's customers. Overall we had a great time here. The fam went for AYCE Korean BBQ. Would definitely come back again.

Found a spot while searching for food spots in the area. Since it was cold, we were looking for a hot pot place. We're big fans of individual pots, because everyone gets the soup flavor that they want and some people don't like eating certain meats so they don't have to cook it in the communal pot. I did try to call twice to make a reservation as we had a group of eight and knew that getting a seat would probably be a little difficult without wait, but I was unsuccessful getting through. We ended up waiting probably about half an hour total for our table, but there is a bar area in front where you can get drinks and those are great to have while you wait. We opted for the combo of hot pot and Korean barbecue. For a table of eight we had two grills which was awesome. Ordering is pretty simple you mark the menu. I would highly suggest getting the galbi! Really delicious and tender. Portion sizes per plate are nice and big. I definitely would recommend maxing out on your order to make sure you get enough meat for everyone. Overall the food was good. Service was a little bit slow, and it seems like they possibly weren't fully staffed that Saturday we went. As it was the soft opening, I really think service will get a lot better. They also have ice cream cups for dessert! Parking is super simple because there's a huge lot!

First of you have to order through their ipad machine at your table. The meat selection is ok. Meat quality is average. Ember korean bbq steak is better IMO. Soup bases for the hot pot is good. They have a sauce area you have to go to to make your own sauces. I’ll say it’s above avg korean bbq overall.

Took my sister and brother In law to eat here. The staff and service was excellent. The Korean BBQ and hot pot was delicious as well. Wagyu meat and the pork belly was the best in my opinion and also the oysters. The different flavors of the meat and hot pot base soup was a plus. Not a place for toddlers that likes to run around too. Lol

They like sesame oil. A lot. And spicy bulgogi wasn't as spicy as I was expecting it to be. It was just red. Sojutinis here are deliciously impressive. And it seems like the floor manager has a hard time reaching out to communicate with his service staff. You gotta be in everyone's face at a place like this.

Gogi offered a large array of food items. The spicy pork bulgogi and ribeye were delicious. We ordered all you can eat Korean BBQ. We ate about 75% of our first round of pick 6. At the end of our meal we were told to "eat up" or we would pay a fee for excessive leftovers. We were full and frustrated that we ordered the recommended amount of food (which was too much for 2) and then felt threatened with penalty fees. Gogi needs to recommend smaller portions for smaller groups, and communicate with customers BEFORE they order, about leftover fees and what portions new customers should start with. We won't be back based on poor communication.

Came here to try the food. The service was phenomenal, please keep up the good work! They were also playing some really nice throwback music which was awesome! The food, sadly, left much to be desired. As someone who has eaten at several hot pot places and in a family of hot pot lovers, this sadly missed the mark. The food was nothing to drive home about, and mind you, we actually went through most of the choices on the menu. It was kind of cool that we each got our own individual hot pot, but the way the induction stove was embedded into the table made it a little too awkward for us to eat, especially since there was a useless KBBQ grill right in the middle of the table. I had the Japanese Miso soup base, while my cousin had the Tonkotsu and the Gogi House Spicy soup bases. We tried everything besides the mushrooms, noodles, and sliced meats (due to the 2 hour time constraint). The only soup base we had an issue with was the Gogi House Spicy as it was like an attempt to make the hottest soup there is without caring about the flavor profile (which was nonexistent BTW). Of the menu items we had, the seafood dumpling was kind of just meh, the quail eggs were always good (just make sure you dip it a few times in the soup as it cooks really fast), the vegetables were fresh enough, but it did attract flies which was a turn off, and the seafood was actually the best part of it all. I definitely recommend getting all the seafood options. The mussel was beautiful, the shrimp was prepared nicely, and even the squid was just the right consistency (as long as you don't cook it for too long, of course!). The clams were a little on the smaller side sadly. The tofu was pretty good too as someone who loves tofu, but I wouldn't say it's something to write home about. The meatballs were also just okay, it was good, but not amazing. The mini sausage was also just meh. Also, I would think SPAM shouldn't be a menu item but it was, and sadly, it was one of the better items. Also, they had a fruit, salad, and sauce bar, but it could really use some work. The sauce labels was confusing as it took me an extra 30 seconds to understand they flipped the labels, the fruits didn't look very fresh, and unfortunately, there wasn't a lot of sauce options, especially one would expect at a hot pot place. Also, those worried about sodium, their soy sauce is the full salt one so it's strong. Their dessert was the ice cream cups you see at every other buffet: vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate ice cream. I would rather have the orange flavor one that they DON'T have. Overall, I might come back to try the KBBQ side of things, but definitely not worth coming back for the hot pot side especially at around $40 per person after tax.

I was overwhelmed between choosing hot pot or bbq. We usually do Chinese style hot pot at home. That’s my favorite. Not biased here. At Gogi, you can choose soup base and you get your own individual pot too. I love the variety of items you can choose for the hot pot for example: veggies, meat, meatballs, seafood and etc. For veggies we picked bok choy, spinach, mushrooms, bamboo shoots (were hard), lettuce and my friend picked some other veggies too. Oh! My friend did her shataki mushrooms which were hard too. I’m not a beef or pork eater so I chose seafood whereas my friend had beef and lamb slices which cooks really quickly. At the back of the restaurant, they have salad and sauce bar. Overall, it was interesting experience. I would go back to try the bbq.

Spent my daughter' s 23rd birthday here and it was delicious. BBQ and hot pot for about $45 per person. Let me preface by saying I've had several great meals here. This time the food was fantastic but after beginning to cook, noticed that the entire bench that my wife and I sat , were sugary sticky. Had not been properly wiped down. Had a table full of food to cook and they were packed and couldn't change tables, so I dealt with it because I do like this place so much. Upon leaving I noticed they helped themselves to an 18% gratuity , on top on the cash tip we left. Synopsis: Food is fantastic, booths can be sticky and they will tip themselves so factor this into decisions to patronize this establishment

I really do love eating here with my family. The only problem we have is the morning Asian female server. Instead of serving us and asking for our drink order, she is always talking to her coworkers the whole time. She has done this to us twice already. We eventually had to ask for a different server but they didn’t have any but her. so the manager serve us! Which was so amazing cause he was always checking on us and being so nice. I just recommend to not go in the morning so you don’t get the girl.

First the good, The place was empty and clean. The staff was friendly and we were sat down pretty quick. The whole set up on the table is just wierd and uncomfortable, especially with the tablet being fixed. Once we got our appetizer (popcorn chicken) the chicken was ice cold . It tasted and felt like its been sitting out all day. The 2nd one was no different. Got another appetizer and it was soggy and cold. For spending that much money i expected way better. I dont plan on ever coming back.

Been here before and the food was what you'd expect for kbbq. But today, they must be understaffed or something. Food came out extremely delayed. You'd expect to be leaving with a full belly at an AYCE restaurant but my entire party left unsatisfied and as hungry as we came in, if not hungrier. Overall a complete waste of $50 per person, by far the worst AYCE experience I've had and won't be coming back.

Food was fatty and portions small. Worse they told my 10 year old grandson he could spin the wheel because it was his birthday. When meal was over they said he needed id to prove it was his birthday???! What 10 year old has id. Then wanted a pic of his last 2 birthdays with date stamps??? So lying to kids on their birthdays is how this restaurant works. Truly amazing

Came here with family. It was alright if u prefer someone constantly touching ur food, adjusting the temperature for the bbq and constantly turning ur pot off when u get up to get something. Told the lady multiple times to stop touching it but she doesn't care, laughs like it's funny then takes off and talks to one of the other employee in their language. Service was not great either. Was so put up with everything we didn't want to eat anymore so we closed out and left. Never coming again.
