My friend and I went for the first time today, and we had a great time! Good atmosphere, good music, family friendly. Be advised, the parking lot is not very large, but we were able to find a spot. On top of the entrance fee, you pay a fee to use their skates if you don't bring your own. But if you want rollerblades, tell them upfront - it's a couple of dollars more than skates. We didn't buy any food but there is a food counter and a vending machine - standard for a rollerskating rink. It's family owned, which is always a nice touch for me. I would recommend to friends!
I grew up coming here. It's not a big flashy place, but the people that work there are really cool. Always great service. The dj is fun and the kids always have a good time.
Attended a birthday party here. This place is a tucked away little hidden gem. Both my boys enjoyed skating out on the floor. Yes it is smaller than most but great size to keep the fun going. Did not visit the snack bar but it looked stocked up for your snacking needs.
It was great to catch a skate session. A cute, off the beaten path rink. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I was able to request a song & get my skate-jam on. They hosted several skating birthday parties. The kids around me seemed to be enjoying themselves.
This place is an awesome throwback to the 80's and 90's childhoods. The bonus is the place is like brand new inside!! Owners have obviously put money back into the place. Carpet is brand new and the real wood skate floor is awesome!! Highly recommend for a family outing or kids party!!
PLEASE BRING YOUR FAMILY AND HAVE A BLAST! so we'll worth it! It reminds me of when I was a teen and had so much fun at the skate rinks. It just brings back do many memories. I'll I have to say is please don't be afraid to have fun and fall s little. Get a laugh or two out and enjoy yourself, we did. Share this and be happy, we only live once.
went here for the first time w my friend + family it was pretty clean, good space for learning , good songs and just overall good. it wasnt that expensive either. you dint have to pay for skates, either. it was 30$ for 4 people. prob gonna go often
Real a/c! Friendly helpful staff, perfect price, quad skates standard and inline available for small extra fee. Snack bar, plentiful tables, a few video games. Great for a hot summer day!!
Been around forever went there as a kid now I take my daughter. Staff is super friendly and most helpful! Good food for a decent price! Awesome place for family fun! Also family owned I believe!
King's Skate Country has been an amazing place for adults and children for decades. My grandparents moved to Elk Grove in 1986, and I remember beginning to go to the rink shortly thereafter. Parking is typically fairly easy to find in their lot or on the street. Prices are fair for admission and the snack bar. Employees are friendly, and there's great vibes here. The snack bar serves typical skating rink fair, candy, chips, nachos, pizza, and fountain drinks. They also have a few vending machines if you're impatient. We've also attended a birthday party here and it was very well managed. The skating rink is pretty clean and well maintained given its age. It's wonderful to see it thriving decades later, and we hope it's successful for years to come.
Excellent customer service! Always a good time!
Asome experience with the older kids no crazy and loud kids
It was fun nice people cool little spot
This place was amazing 👏 🤩 😍 we had the most amazing 13th birthday party. They have great hosts that will keep the party going. They led us in games and dances. Red light green light, Limbo, and Cha Cha slide for example. We had the best time we highly recommend this location for skating and more specifically for their private parties.
Good atmosphere, friendly staff. It gets very packed on Fridays for obvious reasons, with lots of little kids running around, but you get to request songs, so it's fun anyway.
We had my sisters birthday here. Staff is great and do what they can to make you happy. They have what you need. I Have multiple memories here as a kid and it's a great place to celebrate parties.
Just had my daughter’s 7th birthday party at Kings Skate and it was great! Such a good value for 10 kids to skate, have pizza, drinks and ice cream was included. There were beginner skates for some of the kids who had never skated and those were very easy for them. The young lady who helped with our party the day of was so nice and so was everyone else we encountered. It is an older place but very clean and well kept. So happy our kids have started skating we will be back for lots of indoor fun during the upcoming winter months. My other daughter now wants her next birthday party here!
Wonderful old school fun for skating parties. Great food and music. Parking can be problematic but have patience and don't arrive too early if you've got a birthday. Times are reserved so over a party is finished, this will be the best time to wait for vehicles to exit so you can park. Bring your own skates if you have them. Falling down is the fun part. Treat the staff well, they try their best.
We love this place. Second year of having a skate birthday party here. They take care of everything so you can enjoy your time.
This place is fun, my granddaughter recently turned 8and this was her choice. I haven't skated, in a very long time.
Kings Skate is an area tradition! This quaint building hasn’t changed much in decades. We have gone for open skate, birthday parties, 4H club events, and have even hosted our own private party here. My ten year old twins and I really enjoy it! Hosting a party here is AWESOME! The private parties are affordable, start and end on time, and the staff is incredibly helpful. They do EVERYTHING for you! It’s totally worth it to celebrate your kiddo without other guests around. Plus, it is competitively priced when you consider the space and accommodations. Their communication and online information is lacking a little. Don’t worry, they take calls and will return your messages! Open Skate is fun, but often too crowded for my liking. It can get hot, sweaty, and too hard to maneuver around the rink. But, it’s a fun experience that every family should try a few times! The price is fair, the food is decent and what you would expect from an old school snack bar. They have plenty of skates and sizes. (Even large enough for my size 15 husband!) we bring our own skates, but have tried theirs as well. We enjoy the classic decor, the kid appropriate music, fun games, arcade, ample seating, and hometown feel. While I do wish they had roller hockey or additional activities for kids, I understand how difficult it might be to offer them. Go check out King’s Skate… you won’t regret it!!!
Raising a child has so many benefits, one being that they challenge you as a parent to retreat from becoming too comfortable and doing what you deem to be “safe.” I perfect example of this is my son’s recent request to go skating to celebrate his 12th birthday. As a child I absolutely loved skating, so much so that generally every other week my mom would take my sister and I to the now defunct Cal Skate that was located in South Sacramento. As I became an adult with a career, I stopped skating out of fear of injuring myself. However, when I saw the excitement in my son’s eyes when we confirmed our plans to visit King’s Skate Country, I dusted off my skates in anticipation. Prior to visiting the skating rink, I called to confirm their hours. A very friendly and patient employee explained to me that the skate times are as follows on Saturdays: 10:30 am 1:00 pm, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm, and 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Since I called at 2:15 pm (45 minutes prior to the end of the second session), we opted to participate in the third and last session at 3 pm. Upon arriving at the establishment, we were very fortunate to find a parking spot as second session customers vacated the premises. The parking lot is very small; therefore, if you may have to wait quite awhile to secure skating rink parking or park near one of the surrounding businesses. Upon entry we were greeted by a friendly cashier who processed our payment for three admission tickets and two pairs of skates (I brought my skates from home). After lacing up our skates, we put our shoes in a locker (lockers are 50 cents- don’t forget to bring change) and proceeded to hit the rink floor. Since the size of the rink is fairly small (something that I saw mentioned in a lot of the other Yelp reviews), it does feel fairly congested when busy. However, I didn’t see this as a negative. I feel like the smaller size made for an intimate skating experience that encouraged patrons to interact with other patrons (community). Although two hours doesn’t sound like a ton of time, I found it to be appropriate. It was just enough time for my wife and I to work through the rust (it had been almost 10 years since we last skated) and eventually get our skate on a la the movie “ATL.” My son had a great time skating and like me couldn’t hide his excitement. To break up the routine, every so often the DJ/event facilitator would organize participants for a game (i.e., Limbo, Four Corners, Red Light/Green Light). The music here is REALLY good; so good that I often got so lost in it that all worries of falling subsided as I grooved to the beats! If you’re looking to disconnect from screens, have some fun, and burn some calories (I burned 471 calories) I recommend visiting King’s Skate Country!
This place is great and yes the bathrooms made me small and a bit messy, but what do u expect it's been around for 70 years but other then the bathrooms this skating rink is amazing I have only come in about 6 times and I always wanna go because this place is amazing and the staff is so sweet and kind! 10 months later I've been skating here for a year and 6 months, never been happier, I know all the staff and Billy is the absolute best, THANKS BILLY!! 💗💗💗 -Ciara!! <3

Attended nephews' birthday party and felt all the nostalgia from my younger years!

I love this place. My granddaughter started skating lessons And it only took Her three sessions before she was confident to be rolling on her own. I get season passes give her something to do. That’s positive and fun.❤️❤️
10/10 would absolutely recommend! The owner went above and beyond to make our experience excellent and it was so appreciated. Such a cute spot with great vibes, will be coming back!! Thank you so much
this was such a charming place! it's hard to find such treasure spots like this around these days. music was a perfect mix of new and oldies. very supportive and encouraging vibe from everyone. the games were fun and the ambiance is hard to beat! the food options could be improved but it hardly dampens the experience

It's a little smelly and needs some TLC but I honestly loved it and so did my children. I didn't check out the snack bar but I did see some stuff. The workers are nice and the atmosphere there is awesome.
Small rink but great vibes. Prices are cheap. The food is about what you'd expect. But the floor is in good condition, and the rental slates are in really great condition. This is the perfect hole in the wall skating rink.
King’s Skate Country is a good place for kids to skate, especially for families with younger children. I really appreciate that they offer specific hours just for little kids and families—it makes the experience much less stressful and a lot safer for beginners. The rink itself is fun and works well for kids, but the bathrooms are pretty small, which can be inconvenient during busy times. Customer service was okay but not very friendly—nothing terrible, just not very welcoming. Overall, it’s a solid spot for kids and family skating sessions, especially if you go during their designated family hours. Good place to celebrate birthday for kids 😃
Haven't been there since the 70's and boy did that bring back some great memories. We enjoyed our visit and met a couple of cool younger folks add the fair price. Worth a visit 💯. ✌️
Great fun place for the family. Got a chance to celebrate with a family birthday. The ring and floor still great, no bumps. You can also request a certain song if they have it.
What a blast from the past! Especially an 80s birthday party! 🛼🔮🥳🎉 We've never been here before but went for a friend's 8th birthday. The party seemed to be a good amount of time -- a 2 hour chunk and the DJ played some of the basic games -- limbo, spin/corner game, reverse directions, etc. (I wish they would reverse directions often -- the right side of my lower body was way sorer than the left side.😝) The skate rental process was easy for a birthday party -- the nostalgic old-school brown skates! Wheels turned just fine. The next party was booked right after so it was a very quick turnaround (made parking awful for the next group with all of us leaving), but they helped get everyone out of their skates & skates turned in by playing the ChaCha slide at the end that you went out in your shoes. The skate floor size is decent, and the music speaker sound was enjoyable -- didn't destroy me ears! The middle of the wooden skate floor was quite ridge-y so made it hard to turn but the outer areas were smoother. I was surprised though that there were no hand rails at kids' level. I'm just glad we were there for a private party and not an open skate ... can't imagine how many crashes there would be with all the beginners falling and a regular crowd of teens/etc also skating. ⚠️Be advised for new skaters that can't reach the rink viewing area wall, someone will have to stay with them all the way around the rink. The parking lot was quite nerve-wracking as it opens up straight into a busy intersection with stop signs...be prepared to be patient when leaving and look all ways many, many times! 😳
Parking. A fun experience watching the kid and her friends interacting. Almost a trip down memory lane. The pizza was actually pretty good. I complained about parking, but mostly because there isn't much. I think the kids at sharing rink parties are probably mostly dropped off. Maybe they will but the field next to them, or a portion of it and build a parking lot. But that's okay if their control, so I'm going 4.4 stars, but rounding to the nearest whole star ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨

Nice clean rink, however the music for adult night is not what I expected so we left early.
Friendly staff although the rink is very little compared to the others I’ve been to. If you can get past the small size ( size here matters) the staff were pretty great accommodating the parties and even let my group go in early without charge so they wouldn’t be just sitting there. It’s a cute small rink. I’d recommend still. It’s more personal size place rather than a big place.
The last time I was at King's the floor still had the big dip in that I remembered from back in the day. Very happy to see the new floor and carpet. Also have new games. For the 🛼 party I was attending, I was kinda shocked that there was only one person working the party. The young Man did a Great job however, things could have ran a little smoother, especially at the skate rental counter. That was a nightmare. No order and the kids are just as rude as they can be. That being said: Thank you King's Skate country for giving the kids an awesome place to go to. I'm going to start coming more often. Thank you King's 👑
We had my daughter's birthday here today. My experience as an adult was not good. She had a great time and can't wait to go back. Parking was a nightmare. They back sessions up with no time in between so there's a huge crowd trying to get in and out at the same time and it's awful. My guests had to wait in line about 20 minutes. The session is only 2 hours so that's a pretty big chunk of time. The birthday hostess was scrambling trying to get the tables cleaned off and set up again while we stood around waiting for that. She also wasn't friendly or attentive. I had to go ask for the cups myself so people could get a drink, and later we had to go get napkins when they were needed. Also they don't provide table cloth or decorations, only plates, napkins and cups, as you can see in the picture. At one point we were smelling marijuana smoke, but couldn't tell where it was coming from. I'm giving 3 stars only because my daughter had a lot of fun, and that really is what matters.
Fun and family friendly. Rented skates are comfortable and well maintained. Place is a little run down but you get what you pay for. Great for bday parties for kids 10 and under. Parking can be a challenge.

Place smells musty crusty and the parking situation is terrible. Lots of people zooming around and almost hitting other people.
Early morning skate for my kids school and the building was hot. No air conditioners, but plenty of standing fans to blow air and it was still hot. Also the parking lot needs a major overhaul. It was cracked, flooded with rain water from the night before and just overall way too small.
We looked online they said this place was open at one. We drove 40 minutes and we got there and they said they open at six. We tried to call they didn’t answer. It said their number was disabled never come to this place with your family ever And it is the most sketchy place in the world
I cannot believe this place wasn't as I seen in pictures. Ever one falling from side to side nothing to hold on to. Little kids were scared to get on the floor, nothing for beginners. At least the place should be separated for type of skarers, hand rail on sides and middle to prevent from injuries. I fall so badly can't get up. My kids both fall and have pain on their back. It's not only the pain it gives you bad memories of falling and can't try it again. I wish they had better support for beginners.
Bought admission from Groupon and very dissatisfied. Started off with not having any skates in my wife size so she had to wait 20 minutes before she could even skate. Skates were very worn holes in tips of them and laces broken, Very dated holes in carpeting, dirty walls, lumpy floors. Kids enjoyed it but will definitely find another skating rink.

Horrible today Dec 28th. Filled up way beyond capacity. Adult kids going way to fast bumping pushing people. Table stolen twice by the worst hoodlums. This was no family skate time its a bad ass kid hoodlums paradise. I'll never return
