This is a small restaurant hidden at the side of a shopping center. The food is great and you get plenty of it. I got the Chicken fried rice which comes with one egg roll and a canned drink. See photo The egg rolls were so good I bought 5 to go. Now for the negative: The cold drink cans are in a cooler that isn't very cold. They have a limited selection. Areas of the restaurant appear to not have received any attention for a long time.
The Szechuan Chicken, is very good. Always get enough for 2 meals. You can't beat the price, orders are freshly cooked, (when you order) and I did not see a microwave in the kitchen. Most get orders to go.
Skillman Wok is BAAACK! I lived near Skillman Ave in Dallas when the 1st Skillman Wok opened. It was the 1st place of its kind, to offer food delivery in the 80’s! The food was always hot, fast & delicious! Years later in 2023 I was so happy when I moved here to find a Skillman Wok close by! I tried it several times but it was nothing like the one in Dallas. Food & service were terrible & I wrote it off. A year later, after craving Chinese & seeing good reviews again I decided to give it another try & I’m so glad I did!! Just like old times, the food, service & delivery were hot, fast & fabulous again. I’ve found my new favorite! Welcome back to your roots, Skillman Wok, I expect you’ll be hitting the 5 star charts again!!
Food is always amazing. Our family orders from here a lot. I would definitely say if you order more than 4 of the big dishes. Ask them to only put 4 to a bag. When we got home 2 of our boxes were completely crushed tonight. So our Kung pow shrimp and our beef and broccoli were busted in the cling wrap. Otherwise best spot around!!
My honest opinion: I'm in DFW from out of town, I was starving, I attempted to make an online order only to get there and realize the online service had cancelled my order over "out of stock ingredients". These guys were in a full blown rush, they were busy. But they STILL treated me so nice when I got there, helped me quickly put in my order and got it out to me hot and fast even in the midst of a heavy dinner rush. I know for a fact the chef that cooked my Mongolian beef enjoys cooking that dish because when I tell you it was 10/10 😫🤌 it was some of my favorite I've ever had. I genuinely don't know how they aren't 4.5 stars or more. Friendly staff, delicious food, great service.
So my mom and I’s little tradition was to order in from here about twice a month. The food is consistently amazing and when you ask for any adjustment, they do it, no questions asked. No onions in the fried rice? Done. Extra mushrooms? Done. The food is always hot, and now that mom is gone, in an odd way, it makes me feel closer to her when I grab a bite from Skillman Wok. So thanks for the amazing service, the comforting food, and the happy memories. Dishes I recommend: Sesame chicken (pictured) Chicken teriyaki (pictured) Potstickers Egg rolls with ALL the duck sauce Cho Cho beef Sweet and sour shrimp (they’re enormous) Pork fried rice
I finally found a great Chinese place in FTW after 5 others disappointed!! This place gives you great food at a good price and it tastes like it’s supposed to!! Sesame chicken, Singapore rice noodles and wonton soup are amazing!!! You’ve got to try it!! I’ll be back for sure!!
Finally chinese worth a second visit! Next to Kroger-Camp Bowie, I found my source for good Chinese food! The white sauce is the real deal! Great prices and portions.
I ordered 2 6 piece Chicken wings. They actually put all the chicken in one container and shorted me one. However, I will give the chicken a good grade on taste and size. just not worth the headache of calling in to try to correct missing food.
The combo rice noodle dish was fantastic. Comes with an egg roll and three or four meats including shrimp. The attached picture is of my leftovers, lol. I ate at lunch and brought the rest home and I barely will be able to finish it for supper. And it was only $9 or $10 something, plus tax. They only have canned drinks to buy (maybe bottled water) and the cans are $1, but they had a pretty good variety. It's somewhat small and mostly a takeout place, looks like, but they do have about seven booth type tables (no dividing walls). Not a place for really large groups but individuals and families with children can sit comfortably. And the workers were nice and respectful. Definitely hope to go again when I'm in the area. FYI, I only gave four stars because the restroom was kind've nasty.
Ordered food for office poor customer service when I explained my food was not right . Refused to do anything. They lost our business. Never again lady at register needs to learn wat customer service is
Had order delivered. Asked driver for change. She acted acted like she didn't understand a word I said. Likely didn't. Me: do you have some change? Driver: ummmmmm Me: you know, some change? Driver: ummm... no. Me: forget it. Then the store calls me to me they talked to the driver about what happened. Driver told them I didn't want change. Be vigilant out there. Yet another way they scam people.
Not good. I’m huge on finding a good chicken fried rice wherever I move and this was the closest one to me in Fort Worth. Very disappointed. People were in and out while I was dining so maybe they got something different idk but I didn’t like it at all. Very mediocre and just edible. The cashier wasn’t pleasurable and I had to get up to get my own food. No fountain drinks, only cans. Will never be eating here again.
Ordered food over phone asked to provide card explained I was driving they said pay at store . Get to store order not started !!!
Went there on new years day their staff is really nice but the orange chicken was horrible it was dried and hard as a rock Never will eat their food again
I'm just gonna simply say it, the food is nasty. I ordered a large shrimp fried rice, I literally counted 5 baby shrimp. I also ordered a dish that was supposed to have a combination of different proteins (shrimp, beef, chicken, etc), also nasty. The food tasted weird like it had chemicals or something in it, Customer Service was a 3/10. Just avoid this place, PLEASE ‼️
I ordered two meals and instead of charging me the 21.00 it actually cost they ran my card for over 200.00. The “assistant manager” Jennifer was extremely rude, refused to let me speak to anyone other than her , she claimed she sent proof of a refund via text , it was actually sent to a phone number that wasn’t even my phone number. Not a single apology. Horrible customer service.
I called up there placed an order before I placed the order I asked her how long is the wait she said it wasn't very long I got off the phone with her at 6:56pm have not received my food an hour later called her back she said the food was on the way it is now 9:07 they're closed and I never got my food or call back
Food arrived two hours after placing the order. I called to cancel the order and they would not answer the phone anymore. The food was not good once it finally arrived, it was still hot but had no flavor at all. I should’ve never ordered once the lady that originally answered was rude anyway and rushing me to order.
Very rude no customer service at all they rush you like you are the problem like you’re in the way I’m ordering my food. I am trying to get what I like because if she stated the lady that works behind the counter that also answers the phone that make sure you order what you want because you don’t get your money back I wasn’t trying to get my money back. I just wanted my food and not to be rushed. I haven’t even made an order. . I haven’t even made the order before. She said something like that. This is ridiculous. I don’t understand more. Customer service is going, but it sure isn’t at this Location, I’m spending my money here and you’re talking and treating me as if I’m begging for something
If I could give this ace zero stars I would. The customer service is absolutely deplorable.... they made my food wrong so I callled them keep in mind I just had sergety today. The cashier claimed to be the supervisor she wanted us to find the receipt and we did i heard my husband say no veggies and they put in anways she claimed we never said anything. I called her back and asked to speak to someone else and she very rudely said we are busy and they can't come to the phone and hung on up on me soo the moral of this is eating there is a must and you take it to go check your foidodbefore you leave because remember THEM msking yiur foid wrong is going to be your fault oh and did I mention they wanted us to bring the food back.. HORRIBLE PLACE STAY AWAY SAVE MONEY AND AGGREGATION .. THEY WILL ACCUSE OF NOT SAYING HOW YOUR SPECIFICALLY WANT YOUR FOOD!!!
Use to be very good haven’t been in the last 5 month due to a bad experience figured it’s been a while I’ll give them a try express to the lady about my last experience and asked if I could have my food fresh please give the food 5/10 due to my orange chicken was definitely old and taste as if it was reheat but my pepper steak was fresh
