We love Red Top Texas ,its been a great local hometown kinda place where Mr.Lee knows you , supports the community and is a great place to eat & support your own local businesses. We have been coming here for years. A must try are the egg rolls, but the spring rolls are oh my are they so good❣❣❣

Red Top is the old style good food at a great price hometown place. The owner is funny, gracious, and accommodating to his customers. Definitely a place to eat when you want to get away from the carbon copy fast food establishments.

One of the best places to get burgers, fries, shakes. ice cream, chicken tenders. and even Vietnamese spring rolls! Come here instead of those fast food places!!! The family atmosphere and food are the bomb. Plus the boss. Mr. Le is literally the coolest person ever :)

Red Top has been around since I was in elementary school in Friendswood. The owner is a great guy and he has really good food. Next time you want a quick but fresh hamburger think about Red Top. He supports our community and we should do our part to make sure he stays around for years to come.

One of my favorite places to get a regular, local burger. I always get the Texas Style Burger with Bacon and it's amazing! It may take a little longer than regular fast food but that's because it's made as soon as you order it! Fresh as can be!

Funny how people give this awesome place less than 5 stars. The man behind the counter has been there sense the 80s. One reviewer lady one star for the looks. Lmao. That's not y you go here. You go here cause of the BAD ASS FOOD. And plus where else anymore can you kick it with the owner and chill and have great food. Plus the guy is so cool to my kids Every time I bring them here. Red top is one of my favorite burger places. The burgers are great and the sour cream and onion fries are very tasty. The fried egg rolls are really good. The owner is always there and is really friendly.

I had the bacon cheeseburger and fries. It was fantastic. My wife had the shrimp poor boy, also was very good. Great tasting chocolate milkshake. Would come here again. Highly recommend this place!

I had the fried steak burger and loved it! Apparently this place is a staple of Friendswood, and I can see why with the food! The owner, Lee, is a nice man who cares deeply about his business and his customers.

This place is a local treasure. The food is great, it'll keep you coming back for sure, but it is the owner that makes this place a real gem. He has an intentional (and humorous!) way of connecting with his customers and seems to genuinely love our community.

When I tell you everything was good, EVERYTHING WAS GOOD! We ate so much and everything was quality. The owner is a great man to talk to if he's not too busy with other customers. I highly recommend this place!

I love their chicken fried steak basket. You get the steak, the good skinny fries, salad & Texas toast. The gravy is just right. The owner always waits on us, He's very friendly and funny.

Went there for lunch with my wife and 2 kids (3yr old daughter and 1yr old son). I saw the good reviews and wanted to try it out. I wasn't disappointed. The food was cheap for what you get and it was hot and fresh. The fries were super crispy and the burger was juicy and had good seasoning. What made it the best was the customer service. The older Asian gentleman was so sweet to our kids and joked around with us the whole time we were there. His mom even came out and brushed out daughters hair 😂. They made us feel like family, they will definitely be getting our business more often

We love Red Top! After hearing great things, we took all three kids (3 kids under 3) there last night. We ordered cheeseburgers, fries, tater tots, chicken nuggets and sodas. The kids LOVED the food and gobbled it up. The adults loved it, too. The owner is so sweet - he is very kind with kids and there are fun old school 25 cent machines for the kids. Red Top will definitely be in our family restaurant rotation moving forward!

I’ve been coming here since I was little, finally today I brought my daughter to enjoy the experience. Mr. Le was still at the register with a smile, it was a blessing to see him and be here with my family. The food is delicious and the best burger you can find in Friendswood. Also order the sour cream fries ! And get some ice cream for dessert

Husband, our girls & I came by to check this little mom & pop burger joint out. It’s ran by Mr. Lee which was very welcoming & love kids . The burgers are tasty & great priced. Onion rings are thick but delicious not greasy at all. Order was out pretty quick. We went around lunch time on a Saturday. We will definitely be back to visit Mr. Lee again & try the egg rolls that everyone is over hills about on the reviews .

Wow!! I happen to find this excellent burger joint on google. It is one of the best cheeseburgers I've ever had! I read the egg rolls were also good so I ordered one, yep, it's also very tasty. I’ve been going to this little burger joint since I was a toddler (nearly 16 years now), and there’s definitely a reason for that. Red Top serves freshly-cooked american classics (and a lot more) at a price that’s affordable and in a building that’s timeless. You simply can’t beat it; It’s a full-sized meal that stomps any fast food chain you can think of whilst still managing to keep its prices reasonable and the prices of it’s good consistently good. I will not lie; The building itself is not flashy, and it might look dated from the outside… But none of that really matters when you’re surrounded by good food and even better people. Besides, me and many others believes there’s something so nostalgic and comforting about this old building… and it wouldn’t be the same if it ever changed. Red Top has become a community staple for the quality of its food and its personable and colorful owner, and I always recommend it to anyone looking for a quick and dependable spot for lunch that won’t break the bank.

Great place. Burger was fantastic as I thought it would be. Counter person was a very conversationist type person but I enjoyed it. 1st time here and would come back next time I'm in town if in the area.

Stopped here for the first time the other day. Got the 1/2 lb double meat burger, fries and drink. The fries were great, almost too hot to pick up, the way I like them. The burger was like a classic diner burger, I'll probably go with bacon on it next time. The patties were cooked a little more than I like but I didn't specify medium so maybe I'll try that next time. The food came out quick and over all I was not disappointed. Bottom line, I will be back again. And after reading the reviews I will be trying more menu items.

Egg rolls are not traditional vietnamese egg rolls, that being said they are delicious! Hot and fresh, the owner's mother rolled each by hand. We only enjoyed the egg rolls that day but we hear good things about the burgers and plan to visit again soon!

Mr Le is the best! The best part of coming here is knowing Mr Le remembers us, and he asks about all the kids, he shares with us about his kids, etc. He does special things for a child that needs cheering up. All of that on top of great food! You MUST try the Imperial Egg Rolls!!

Love this place and the owner is a great guy. I enjoy the food for what it is. My father enjoys the diversity on the menu and loves their enchilada plate. Not authentic but good nonetheless. I personally enjoy the old fashioned style burgers and the Asian flair on the menu. That may be due to me being half Filipino, but who knows. This place is a staple in Friendswood Texas as far as we are concerned. Great staff from what I can tell. They seem friendly to me everytime I go there.

I've been going to Red Top since 1996 and it's always great. It's a classic Texas burger, don't forget the crispy bacon! The curly fries and tater tots are both very good. Drive thru isn't your typical fast food, it's best if in a hurry to call in an order. Mr. Lee is a treat, always has a smile for everyone!

Great Hamburger, fries and shake! Been here for a long long time and you get a big sack of fries and the milkshakes are astounding. Price is really good too! I usually call 10 mins in advance and place the order to cut down on the wait.

Just moved to Friendswood and had to try it! Mr Lee is a hoot and I will come back! Tried their burgers and fries. They were about on par with Dairy Queen for a reference. He gave us a lot of fries with the order. The menu is pretty large so I will be trying other items on the menu as well soon. It's apparent that Mr. Lee is involved locally and that will bring me back for sure! I love supporting local establishments and especially ones that seem to give back to the community as well! Kudos, Mr. Lee!

Good and very chill place to get lunch! I got the Seafood Combo Platter and was very happy with the result! I also got the Wednesday Bacon Burger Special and was satisfied! The owner loves to come and talk to their customers. Super nice person and loves to give out fruits/veggies he grew at his house!

First time here and I'm not disappointed. Most food is made to order and all the ingredients are fresh (minus maybe the beef patty, tastes frozen) prepared. The price isn't bad either at five bucks for the average burger. The food wasn't even my favorite part. The owner took my order and that guy is hilarious. One of very few establishments supporting Texas Governor Abbot's mandate, lifting mask requirements. I will definitely be returning to support a local business and so should you.

I always love supporting the mom and pop stores and restaurants. Today we stopped in Red Top Dinner for a bite to eat and some a/c between tournament games right up the road. The restaurant was clean and the food was freshly made and on point. The gentleman in the picture was very nice started up a conversation with us after taking our order. As we were walking out, he stopped my son and told him good luck on your next game. As a very nice jester he gave my son an ice cream cone. I thought to myself, there still is good people out there and that truly care for others. Even if it’s a little 6yr old baseball player. So if you’re looking for great food, and great service then this is your place. I highly recommend it. You won’t be disappointed.

I'm so used to the Red Top locations in Brazoria county. I didn't even know that there was a location with a different owner in Friendswood! I took the trip out just to eat here. The difference in food quality from the separately owned locations is like night and day. Even the restaurant looked more lively. The food was delicious and I will be making the trip back out again! I had the egg rolls and went back and ordered more to go shortly after I was done.

Our family loves this local burger shop! The food is delicious and the service is always top notch. The burgers are far better than any of the fast food chains in the area, and the prices are very reasonable. The man at the counter (who I assume is the owner) is always so friendly.

Was in the area for work and in the mood for a good, home style burger - so I found this place and stopped in! I was not disappointed! Classic burger with toasted bun - great crispy onion rings. Overall delicious! There were several parties waiting to get food when I got there, but service was quick and friendly - everyone had their food in a prompt manner. Home town cooking. Don't let the building fool you this place is a classic! Food that is priced nice and taste crazy good. The guy running it was awesome as well! The banana split gave me diabetes but it was worth it!

Just left Red Top where I ordered the egg rolls at drive-thru! I had wanted to come as it stood out to me how they have such high reviews. The establishment owner (Mr. Lee) was so kind & helpful! Will definitely be a go-to, the food quality is high and the pricing is good as well. I ate the egg rolls with the sauce and lettuce as recommended by Lee and it was delicious. Taste burger. They give it a charbroiled flavor, crisp and look. The bacon was nice and crispy. The patty was just the right amount of meat without overpowering the rest of the flavors. Curly fries were on point! The gentleman running the cashier was great in greeting the customers and entering the kids. I can see why the place was packed! While I didn't have the best initial experience, it was plain to see the clerk joking with, what i assumed were his regular customers. I only had three burger and fries, but i have to say they were on point as far as taste goes. It was a pleasant place to stop in for a quick bite to eat.

Its an honest to goodness old fashioned burger. Simple. Basic. Honest. Their work flow was a little chaotic during the lunch rush but my order was correct and the wait wasn't long. I saw the man at the register, I assume he is the owner, greet at least half the guests by their first name.

Same man every time..been twice. Burgers are consistent and the fries are good. I really want to try the seafood platter just to see if it's an option and a pinch. They've been there for years but I've only been there two times. I didn't write the atmosphere because I have never gone inside but there is a sit-down area.

We ordered two strawberry shakes and a Texas double burger.. we waited at least 20 minutes and we were the only customers in the store. The shakes were really really not good they made both me and my fiancé I’ll afterwards. He said the burger wasn’t bad but it definitely wasn’t good. Super disappointing it’s an adorable little restaurant and the owner seems like a really nice and really funny guy. Maybe they were having an off day, but I’d be hesitant to try it again. But I do have to say, you can’t beat the prices and the menu is quite extensive. Overall I’ll give it 3/5.

I’ve had Red Top on my list for awhile and finally made a stop in today. I knew I needed an egg roll and I also ordered the doubled meat burger with fries and drink. The egg rolls were as good as I was told. Unfortunately my burger was overcooked and dry. Hopefully just a one off and I will have better luck on my next visit.

I go here a lot, and today all burgers I ordered were way over cooked and very dry. Not happy at all, worked a very long day and they were on the way home so I figured why not. 😞

My fiance works nights and wanted something besides breakfast to eat when he got home. He was looking for open restaurants and saw that this one was open and wanted to give it a try. He called in his order including a strawberry shake that the man said he wasn’t going to make (which my fiance was fine with) then proceeded to make it anyways when I got there around 10am. The man working was so rude. I have over 10 years of experience in the food industry, started as a cashier and worked my way up to a general manager running multiple restaurants so I know how stressful it can be but the solution to this man’s problem is simple. If you don’t want to make food at 10 am maybe change your hours and don’t open at 9am. I gave 2 stars cause my fiance enjoyed the food but if he wants it again he’s gonna have to go get himself cause I won’t be back.

Food was good. It was hot and tasty. I ordered the 1/4 pound burger combo, fish sandwich and an order of 6 egg rolls. The total was $29.20 I think i was over charged and it was the owner who rang my order up. There was no itemized receipt provided.

Had a burger with fries and onion rings. We decided to give this place a chance considering the reviews. It was definitely underwhelming to say the least. The beef was overcooked, only gave me one small slice of tomato like it was the left overs. The onion rings tasted the worst. Over breaded and unseasoned. Very disappointed in this place. There's a whataburger and a Wendy's around the corner for there instead.

With all the great reviews I figured I would give this place a try. Steak fingers and chicken strips all tasted like dairy queen. The cheeseburger tasted dry and awful. I've had better burgers at McDonald's. The only decent thing I got was the egg rolls.

Was looking for a good local Mom & Pop burger shop, and saw this place had a 4.6 star review, so I said "Why not give it a try..." Unfortunately, the burgers here were NOT good at ALL! The burgers were small and seemed like those patties you get from Sam's, but not the good ones. They were cooked well enough, but was expecting that flat grill char taste but it wasn't there. The buns were soggy and so we're the onion rings. The fries and curly fries were fine and the portions were adequate. I hardly ever leave bad reviews but I was highly disappointed and because the quality of my food was NOT up to the 4.6 star rating, it just had to be stated. Seriously, Not sure who rated this place so well, but they should get out and try some other burgers, as I myself will be doing as I continue my search.
