They have great food. Location not bad. Good service. Great atmosphere. Sat in the patio enjoyed a kick ass Margherita and not long after we were called for or order. FYI, the Pico is hot in case you dont like spicy. Prices not bad for great quality food and service. It was clean enough.

The Chicken & Waffle taco at Velvet Taco is a perfect mix of sweet and savory. The crispy fried chicken is juicy and flavorful, and pairing it with a soft waffle ‘shell’ instead of a tortilla makes it unique and fun. The drizzle of syrup ties it all together, giving just the right amount of sweetness without being overwhelming. It’s hearty, creative, and definitely one of those tacos you’ll crave again. Highly recommend if you want something outside the ordinary taco experience! Margaritas and red velvet was great add one.

Excellent experience today. They updated their menu slightly and the new bowls are delicious. I order the vegan version with chicken. Nice mix of flavors overall. We also order chips with a trio of queso/guacamole. Everything was fresh and brought to our table in quick time. The only issue is getting in and out of this center due to current traffic patterns. Otherwise, My wife and I highly recommend.

1st time coming and will definitely be coming back again. The staff were super friendly and answered all of the questions that I had. The red velvet was very delicious and did not make my stomach hurt. I would highly recommend giving this place a try if you're looking for some yummy Mexican food.

Tried all the veggie tacos this time and honestly, each one was full of flavour and really satisfying. I remember when this location was opened, it wasn’t that great compared to some of the older ones in taste and quality. But they’ve improved now! The new taco bowls are absolutely worth trying.

I love this place! Food... EXCELLENT! People... EXCELLENT! Vibes... EXCELLENT! But let me tell you about Laura!!! She attended to us FLAWLESSLY and had such great energy! She was perfectly knowledgeable about the menu and gave us her actual opinions and not corporate talking points! We ordered based on her recommendations and mmmmmmmm the food was AMAZING! Okay, whoever came up with the Nashville Hot Tofu deserves a raise and a high-five. It’s spicy, crispy, and somehow still manages to feel like comfort food. The heat hits in all the right places without being too much — honestly, tofu has never felt this cool.

Fusion tacos are some of my favorite food. Rarely do I post reviews even about places that I actually really like but this place is so good I can’t help not doing so. The food is incredible and the best Tacos I’ve had anywhere including numerous out-of-state joints. Not only that, but the people that make this place run are awesome! Service is great, food is spectacular, and the general vibe is really cool at Velvet Taco. To top it all off, you can tell how much management and the team enjoy being a part of this community. If you haven’t been to Velvet Taco, do yourself a huge favor and go already! Whether you’re in the mood for good tacos or just good food in general, you will not regret it. So glad this place opened up so close to us!

What a terrible experience. Working all day and arriving home super hungry, only to find that your brisket nachos don't have any brisket is a joke. What a shame. The food at the restaurant is delicious, but the takeout is a complete rip-off. What a terrible thing to do. If they didn't have any brisket, it would have been better to be honest with the customer.

If you’re thinking about ordering takeout from here, I’d honestly recommend reconsidering. 😅 If you’re dining in, it’s probably a much smoother experience since any mistakes can be fixed on the spot. But with takeout, save yourself the stress and consider ordering from somewhere else. The food itself is amazing… I’ll definitely give them that. However, the service and handling of specialty orders really need improvement. If you do decide to go, I’d suggest dining in when you have plenty of time and nowhere to rush off to.

This Velvet Taco location is very close to my house, so I visit often. I usually order the queso dip with tortilla chips, which is one of my favorite items. A few weeks ago, however, the chips were extremely salty—so much so that they were almost impossible to eat. I had to physically wipe excess salt off the chips. On my next visit, I mentioned this experience, and the staff apologized and told me they could absolutely make the chips fresh with no salt. From that point on, I consistently received fresh, no-salt chips with no issues at all. That changed today. When I placed my order and requested fresh chips with no salt (as I’ve done many times before), the woman at the window—who identified herself as a manager named Stormy—told me, in an apathetic tone, “We don’t make these chips fresh.” I explained my prior experiences and was told again that “we don’t make them fresh and we don’t have time per customer to make fresh chips, that’s not a thing”. She then said she guess she could “check” to see if the chip person was making some and I said could you please. After checking, she came back and said they could make them. I then asked why there didn’t seem to be a consistent option for no-salt chips, especially for customers with possible high blood pressure or dietary needs. Her response was, “I don’t know… I wish we could sell celery, but we don’t.” That behavior was already questionable especially from a manager but that comment was surprising, dismissive, and unnecessary. Many customers request low-sodium options for legitimate health reasons, and the lack of empathy or basic awareness was disappointing. I appreciate the staff members in the past who handled this situation with care and professionalism. Unfortunately, today’s interaction felt dismissive and poorly handled. I hope management provides additional customer service and sensitivity training, as consistency and empathy go a long way—especially for regular customers.

Honest Review for Velvet Taco – Hoping for Improvements I’m submitting this review in hopes that it leads to a dramatic improvement at this location. This Velvet Taco is the closest one to us, and we’ve always enjoyed the margaritas, the food, the appetizers, the desserts, and the bowls. We often stop by because they’re one of the few places with outdoor seating that can accommodate an entire family after 10 p.m. Unfortunately, during our most recent visit, we had a very disappointing experience. While walking inside and when seated outdoors, we saw several dozen roaches and other insects scurrying around. It’s extremely concerning to see that many right outside the door—it’s hard not to wonder how easily they could make their way into the kitchen or dining areas. This was especially surprising because every other Velvet Taco I’ve visited has had a great atmosphere, good service, and an overall more upscale feel. This location, however, fell far short of those expectations and has definitely turned us off for now. I’m sharing this because we genuinely want to be able to come back. We enjoy the brand and hope this location can address the issue quickly and thoroughly. We’ll gladly return once this is fully resolved. If you’re in the area and stop by, please consider leaving a review to help highlight if the situation improves—or if you experience something similar. The more awareness, the better the chance for meaningful change.
