Wow, Pecan masterfully surpassed my expectations along with the rest of our friends who had the pleasure of dining there last night. We made reservations with Dorian (the nicest woman ever!!) for a very special celebration, honoring our dear friend finishing cancer treatments. We were a larger group, with a lot of kids, and they didn’t flinch, they were more than happy to accommodate us on their beautiful patio. The forecast for our evening was nothing but rain and storms- despite that the staff was superb in making sure we stayed dry. Upon arrival the manager on duty, Alex, went above and beyond to ensure we comfortable, assisting us with carrying some flowers and decor to our tables, and truly delighting along with us the whole evening. Our servers Bella and Maria, were perfectly attentive, seemed to smile the whole time they worked, and catered to our larger group with ease. Our food and drinks were phenomenal- the drink wall was so fun and we all enjoyed being at a restaurant with something unique to offer. I personally really treasure having an establishment like this in town now- fresh farm sourced menu that’s health conscious while still being delicious. I plan to spend future special occasions there because it truly checked all the boxes: atmosphere, ambiance, professionalism, smiling faces, fresh delicious food! Well done Pecan Craft Kitchen, you’re a real gem!

Very delicious lunch! Four of us met for lunch on a Thursday. We had reservations for 11 when they first opened for the day. We had no issue parking. The restaurant filled close to full by 11:30. I had the Pecan Deluxe hand held sandwich with a side of the Roasted Herbed New Potatoes and so did one of our friends. We both agreed that it was very delicious. It was a bit messy so we both ended up using a knife and fork to eat it and that worked just fine. The potatoes were a little spicy but were very good. My husband got the Hi Lo BBQ hand held with Southern Black Eyed Pea Caviar that he said was delicious. He also opted for using a knife and fork. He especially liked the peas. He said the BBQ sauce was sweet and not spicy. The 4th person in our party ordered the Charleston hand held with a side of the Grilled Son & Skye Local Mushrooms. She said hers was delicious as well. For desert my husband and I shared a chocolate Whoopi pie and our friends shared a Pecan Pie sweet treat. The waitress was very pleasant and helpful, our food came out promptly, and was nicely plated. We loved the atmosphere. We did not use the beverage wall but it looked like a fun way to dispense drinks. We all loved our food and agreed we would definitely return. Update: Two weeks later, we returned with another couple for lunch. Our meals were just as wonderful. We tried the Jacked-Up Cornbread Bites for an appetizer. So light and delicious. I had the Pecan Deluxe again but changed my side to the broccolini. The broccolini was cooked perfectly. I had to bring half of my meal home because I just couldn’t eat any more. So good. My husband tried the Southern BBQ Chicken Comfort plate. He enjoyed his meal but did prefer the Southern Black-eyed Pea Caviar he had last visit. One of our friends had the PK Burger and the other had the Caesar salad with the chicken. They both enjoyed their meals and agreed they would return and was glad to have such a nice restaurant so close to home. Keep up the good work! Our waitress was a gem!

Our dining experience was fantastic in this new restaurant. Ambiance is beautiful, and we just loved that little market-it adds such a unique touch to the place, so charming. We started with the grilled sweet potatoes and the cheese board; both were wonderful. The entrées hit and missed: the Florida pecan fire-grilled grouper was tasty, and the Demkota Ranch filet was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The chili lime Kvarøy Arctic salmon was super spicy but good. The Citrus Grilled Florida shrimp and the Marsh Hen Mill cheesy grits were good but we thought they could use a bit more flavor. Dessert was a highlight, the pecan pie served in a mason jar was great. Drinks included: Pear Pressure was light and refreshing, Old Fashioned was my husband's favorite, Pecan bar tap wall raspberry beer was delicious. Espresso martini was a miss for me, a tad too syrupy from the bar tap wall, the prosecco was nice. The staff were friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Our waitress Daniela was great! Everything went like clockwork without a hitch, which was even more impressive considering it was the day they opened their doors. In all, great dining experience with excellent food, drinks, and atmosphere. We would be back again!

We had the best experience and can’t wait to go back! It was different than other restaurants in all the best ways — from the local market at the entrance to the flavorful food to the amazing little mason jar desserts. Rajah was our waitress and made our time so warm and welcoming. She answered our questions, stopped by often to check on us and see how we were enjoying everything. And enjoying everything would be an understatement! My husband and I started with the cornbread and citrus butter (ate every crumb on the plate!), then got the deluxe chicken sandwich with roasted carrots for a side (the chicken sandwich was a perfect texture, so moist and every bite was flavorful and exactly what we wanted). We ended with a banana pudding jar and apple crisp jar (a great size to finish the meal). For drinks, we took advantage of the tap wall. I got the mule (and learned after the fact that they make all the craft cocktails for the tap wall in house! So cool!) and my husband got the espresso martini. We grabbed a bouquet of fresh flowers in the market on the way out. Such a great way to end what truly was an eating experience for us. After leaving, we looked at each other and decided we’d be returning very soon and can’t wait to try more of the menu!

We had a fantastic lunch at Pecan Craft Kitchen. The menu offers a great twist on Southern flavors with a fun, modern vibe. The Food: • Starters: The Southern Pecan Cornbread was sweet, buttery, and delicious. We also loved the Grilled Sweet Potatoes—the chimichurri was excellent, though we found ourselves wishing for an extra side of it! • Mains: The kids enjoyed the Shrimp Fire Sticks. My wife loved her Pecan Fired Mushroom Melt, and my Florida Shrimp Coco-Datil Flatbread was flavorful and fresh. • Dessert: Don’t skip the craft mason jar desserts or the whoopie pie—perfect for cleansing the palette. The Drinks: The self-serve draft wall for beer, wine, and spirits is super convenient. It’s a great system, though a few more beer varieties would make it even better. Overall: A solid spot for a high-quality meal. We’ll definitely be back!

This was our second time at Pecan Craft Kitchen and somehow it was even better than the first. I have ordered both the whole chicken and the half chicken. The whole chicken was on leg day, so it was necessary. Both were outstanding. My wife has had the chicken sandwich and the filet, and every dish has been excellent every time we come. The food is consistently on point. The cocktails from the bar were fantastic. We also really love the pour your own drink section. Being able to pour smaller portions lets you try a variety of drinks without overdoing it. Starting with an espresso martini to get the flavor without committing to a full pour is such a great concept. We also tried the jacked cornbread appetizer this time and it was so good. It pairs perfectly with cocktails and is an easy recommendation. The au jus that comes with the chicken is unreal. If they forget to bring it out, make sure you ask for it because it takes the dish to another level. For sides, the mushrooms and broccolini are our favorites. The potatoes come with a Dijon-style dipping sauce and are great, especially alongside the chicken, though they could use a little salt if you are eating them on their own. Dessert is perfectly done. The mason jar desserts are ideal portion sizes. Ordering a couple plus a whoopie pie is the move. Strongly recommend the pecan pie. This visit was also special because it was my wife’s birthday. They surprised her with a dessert and a sweet little gift, which was such a thoughtful touch. We sat at a high top in the bar and Kaitlin was our server. If an owner is reading this, give her a bonus. Incredible service, kind, attentive, accurate, and genuinely made the experience better. Huge thank you to the owners for bringing this restaurant to Fruit Cove. We need places like this and we want this one to be here forever. Summary. Go give them your money and enjoy every bite.

Amazing experience! Danielle made our experience very special since we were in to celebrate a birthday. Food was very fresh and flavorful. Definitely nutrient dense ingredients. The peach sweet tea is just the right amount of sweetness. My family had a great time with the draft menu. Highly recommend saving room for the mason jar desserts. Looking forward to coming back. Great to have new local cuisine in Saint Johns!

OMG! My new favourite spot in town! We came with the family without a reservation. We knew we were taking our chances since it was the opening day, but the team was very thoughtful considering that we were with kids! We were given a complementary cheese board and order the corn bread. Both delicious! As for the mains we had the Caesar salad, the PK burger and the chicken salad sandwich. Everything was fresh and flavourful! For the desserts we tried the lemon tart, the banana pudding and a pecan pie. They all come in little glass cups which is great when you want just enough of a sweet treat. As for the service, I cannot praise them enough!! So kind and attentive every step of the way, even the chef came to say hi. And the atmosphere is so homey… between the sun, the porch outside with games for the family and the market from local businesses at the entrance, it just fell like the right place to be. We will definitely be back!

For a Restaurant that has been opened for 2 days....It was phenomenal. Decor was gorgeous, staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and gave great suggestions. Our server was Christina. The food and drinks were phenomenal. Price of the food was reasonable as well. Hands down a gem to the Jacksonville restaurant scene... cant wait to go back.

If I could give a bigger rating I would. Nestled in Julington Creek under a big live oak you will embrace the most wonderful of dining, craft cocktails and fresh market shopping. The atmosphere is relaxing, calm. Indoor, outdoor seating. Outdoor games and what I believe is a live music stage. Enjoy getting a self serve card for the cocktail serve yourself bar. So fun! But where today was, was the incredible service by our bartender Zach. New bartender, but absolutely understands his brand and customers services. Pecan Craft I hope you do great things with this all of this 22 year old. Just point from start to finish. Chefs, amazing… such an enjoyable experience. Nothing was over the top or under. It was all just right (okay, lions main mushrooms were not a favorite) BUT everything ended perfection! It was my birthday so I said yes, to every mason jar dessert! That was so fun to the table to share. Plenty of parking, vegan options, handicap accessible, reservation option. This is a Diamond for the Julington Creek area. Congratulations and welcome to the area.

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch with family. Food was great, service was great, atmosphere was great. We already picked out what we are going to try on our next visit. Really enjoyed the appetizers (pictured) Hope we can get Christina as our server again as she was outstanding.

Update - I stopped back in today for lunch. I am doing a health detox right now and am only eating once a day. I wanted something I knew would be healthy and fresh; but still very yummy as I am a foodie at heart! Once again, they did not miss the mark! I got the Hi-Lo BBQ sandwich. It is chicken, bacon, slaw, pimento cheese. Soooo delicious! They have truly mastered the blend of different flavors. As someone who really enjoys sweet/salty combinations and food that is far from bland, I am in love with Pecan!! I of course got the potatoes again and they were just as good as the first time! No desserts today. I sat at the bar today and had fantastic service. The picture doesn’t do justice! I was too hungry to take a food photoshoot! I have not had the opportunity to explore the dinner menu yet, but the lunch entree I had was amazing! I chose the shrimp flatbread(I can’t remember the exact name of it on the menu) but it was perfect. I am not usually a flatbread person but chose this option because I wanted something light! All of the flavors worked extremely well together. It was all very fresh. I also got a side of the roasted potatoes, which comes with a tasty sauce on the side. The lemon blueberry and chocolate berry desserts were awesome as well! 10/10!

Had the chicken BBQ flat bread and the shroom flat bread , kombuchu and a draft beer from "the wall" all very delish. Sat at the bar, bartender was attentive and on the ball. Will Def be back.

We were of course very excited to try the long anticipated new restaurant in Fruit Cove. Got a reservation as soon as we could and came to try it out. Firstly the service was amazing. From the hostess to every waitress and chef everyone was extremely friendly. Even when the kitchen needed a little longer on our dishes the staff stepped up and brought us out a starter to make sure we weren't going hungry! Food was all delicious, drinks were great. Atmosphere inside is cozy and fun. Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu!

Had such a great experience at this new spot! The staff was amazing, the food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was on point. Everything from start to finish was fantastic. I even ran into my friend Dorian who works there she’s top notch and made the experience even better. Can’t wait to come back!

I was one of a party of six tonight. Our server Rajah had great recommendations since we were there for the first time. She took perfect care of us! The food was amazing! I had the chicken which was absolutely fantastic! It was seasoned perfect , tender and juicy. The black eye pea caviar was my favorite! No heavy sauces and everything tasted clean and fresh. Desserts were perfect! Drinks were very tasty. The building is very cute quaint and clean. The owner stopped by the table several times to check on us. Everything was running smooth. I can’t believe they just opened less than 30 days ago. Can’t wait for my next visit! 10 out of 10 for sure!👏🏻 👏🏻

My friend and I went for a girls night and sat at the bar and had a fantastic experience! We met the bartender Kyle and he was excellent. He explained everything to a tee and made us some wonderful cocktails. He was efficient, friendly and very helpful with all of our food/drink questions. We will definitely go again!

I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed eating out so much. The food here is so flavorful and leaves you feeling so good. The menu has such a large range both for lunch and dinner it makes it hard to decide one just one thing. The restaurant is beautiful, the service is top tier. You can really tell everyone that works here genuinely loves it. 10/10 would fly back just to eat here again

This was our first time here. Kyle, Zoe and Carla were absolutely phenomenal with the drink service and explaining the menu. Highly recommend and if you are at the bar ask for those 3, can’t go wrong what a wonderful time. Thanks for the great service.

Oh my goodness, Pecan Craft Kitchen is exactly what Fruit Cove needed!! There’s only a few places in the area and Pecan is already adding such a cute charm to our little nook. The food is absolutely gorgeous, it’s so colorful and fresh, which makes eating out less stress for those trying to stay healthier like me! Plus, for my vegetarian and vegan friends, the veggies are AMAZING and a lot of their sides are vegetarian and even vegan!! Also, every single employee I met was incredibly sweet and helpful, the service was so wonderful! Overall Pecan is so cutie and worth the wait to get a reservation:)

What an experience! This is not your typical restaurant, during your visit you will go through a beautiful hand picked market full of local vendor items, fresh produce and their own spices/ ingredients they use in the kitchen. Next is the “sun room” the details in this restaurant are so intentional and feels so warm and homelike. In here is the infamous tap wall which I could spend my whole visit just playing with lol! I didn’t spend much time in the bar area or the “Porch” as they were jam packed but I plan for my next visit to be outside. Can’t wait to visit again!

I haven’t eaten food with this much flavor in awhile. Ate the Charleston chicken sandwich, angel eggs, jalapeño cornbread and flourless chocolate tort. Everything was delicious. Make a reservation or be ok sitting at bar.

Came in to check out this new restaurant for our first time & we really enjoyed it. Sat at the bar & Kyle & Carla took great care of us!!! My go-to drink is an old fashioned & the pecan version was DELICIOUS! we also ordered the green manhattan, which is my new favorite! We wanted some appetizers so we ordered the pimento cheese, & two of the flatbreads- both had great flavor. It was busy on a Saturday but we still received amazing service! We will definitely be back :)

We had an amazing experience here and were impressed from start to finish. The entire staff was incredibly polite, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming—it really shows that they care about what they’re doing. The decor is beautiful and elevated, with so much attention to detail (even the bathrooms were adorable). The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and clearly farm-to-table. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, and you can taste the quality in every bite. We were so impressed that we’re already telling friends about it and can’t wait to come back as soon as possible. Highly recommend checking this place out.

We tried this restaurant a few weeks ago. It was very good. Our favorite was the peach tea and the pimento cheese appetizer. I don’t usually like pimento but I tried some of my husbands appetizer and wished I had ordered one all for myself. Everything was very good. We plan to go back soon. We had an appetizer, main entree, dessert and peach tea.

I had the salmon super bowl salad. It was fantastic. They used a good amount of dressing so that it was in every bite. The salmon had a perfect spice to it and was cooked so tender even though I asked for well done. The cheesy cornbread was very delicious as well as the deviled eggs! Our server Mia was great! Very attentive. I also loved that the manager stopped by. I'm sorry her name has slipped my mind.

I had an amazing experience at Pecan Craft Kitchen! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and full of Southern charm. The menu is creative and flavorful, with dishes made from fresh, high-quality ingredients that really stand out. Every dish we tried was delicious — from the fire-kissed pecan-grilled salmon to the flavorful flatbreads and inventive Southern-inspired plates. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Whether you’re stopping by for lunch, enjoying dinner with family, or relaxing on the cozy patio, this place is a must-visit. I can’t wait to go back!

Danielle was our server and she was an absolute gem. She was patient and knowledgeable and happy to introduce us to this new restaurant. Taylor was so friendly at the tap wall and helped us figure out how to make the best of our experience. And Miles came by to make sure our experience was amazing and stayed to chat and offer us a kind ending to the night. Oh, and the food was fresh and awesome!! We have found our new spot!

Grand opening was 6 days ago, so one might expect a few issues still being worked out. Not the case with this lovely new restaurant. Everything was perfect. Valet service was seamless. We were 10 minutes early for our reservation but seated immediately. Our server, Mia, was knowledgeable and attentive. The atmosphere had a very positive vibe (and the place is gorgeous). And the most importable thing, the food, was delicious and impeccably presented. I enjoyed the Bar Pecan Old Fashioned and tried out the pour-your-own tap bar. and the mason jar desserts were the perfect portion and delicious. We look forward to trying Pecan Craft Kitchen again in the future. We have often complained that there aren't a lot of "nice" locally owned restaurants in the Julington Creek/Fruit Cove area, so this is a very welcome addition to the area.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful of an experience I’ve had at Pecan! Not only were the hostesses sweet, kind, and tried their absolute best to seat me promptly, I was offered a beverage while I waited. The tap wall had such an amazing selection! I was able to get a nonalcoholic drink while my husband got a beer. Our food was even better than expected! Not to mention the desserts.. the mason jar chocolate cake is everything you want and the perfect size. I felt full but not overly full, which shows the quality of the ingredients. 10/10 recommend. Next time I’ll bring my daughter, there’s so many fun activities to do outside in their “backyard” Crazy to think this used to be a broudys liquor!

This new restaurant is awesome!! The space is unique and reflects the mission of the restaurant: healthy, local, farm to table, bright and clean ingredients and a welcoming team of chefs and servers. We shared items from each section of the menu: - The flatbread was tasty and the crust thin so you get a crunch with the focus on the toppings - The chili was a savory treat to start, with mild spice - The pimento cheese was nicely spicy and served with a seasoned baked toast - The vegetable assortment was a tasty, fresh, light addition to the meal. Local broccolini, tomatoes, carrots, lions main mushrooms and sweet potato all seasoned to perfection - The grouper sandwich was the perfect handheld. Grouper cooked perfectly to keep it moist and the sandwich creatively garnished. We enjoyed the blackened pea "caviar" a great complement to the grouper sandwich - The dessert selection covered all the bases and was the right size for a sweet bite at the end of a great meal. Congratulations on great execution of this new concept!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Dining at Pecan Craft Kitchen was worth the wait! When we walked through the doors, were greeted by warm and friendly faces! We had a short wait for our table, so we took advantage of the time and shopped in their farm market that had the most amazing novelties from local artisans! We got the best seat in the house, table 70, which is perfectly located between the dining room and the bar. The menu had everything we could ever desire! We settled on the Angel Eggs, which were hands down the best we ever tasted. The flatbreads have the thin and crispy crust that my husband loves. I had The Pecan, their signature handheld, which was so flavorful and juicy. My husband enjoyed the salmon that had a unique blend of seasonings, that he’s been crazing ever since he’s tasted it. We will definitely be back and plan to work our way around the menu, and their vineyard tap wall!

Absolutely fantastic experience! The ambience here is awesome—perfect for a night out with friends or a date. The service was top-notch; the staff was attentive and genuinely friendly. The highlight for me was the food—the shrimp flatbreads are a must-try and were packed with flavor. Also, the self-serve wall of beer and wine is such a cool, interactive feature that lets you sample different drinks at your own pace. I can’t recommend this place enough. Heavy recommendation for anyone looking for great food and a unique vibe

What a beautiful establishment! I loved the fresh veggies sold up front and the little store. It’s such a thoughtful touch. The bar area and outdoor space are absolutely perfect, down to every little detail. As for the food, I love the concept of healthy Southern food. I ordered the Southern Barbecue Chicken Comfort, and the barbecue sauce had just the right amount of kick! We also ordered the angel eggs and the Southern pecan cornbread. The cornbread was so delicious it didn’t even need butter. I’m a big Caesar salad fan, so I had to try Don’t Call Me Caesar, and I’m pretty sure it was my favorite item—aside from dessert. For dessert, I ordered the flourless dark chocolate cake with berries and cream. It came in a little mason jar. I honestly could’ve eaten ten of them. Overall, I will most definitely be back and I’ll be bringing my family. I know my kiddos would love the outdoor area. Everything feels so cozy, especially this time of year with the heaters and fire.

We had a fantastic meal at Pecan Craft Kitchen. The food, service, and overall vibe were all excellent. My Salmon Superfood was incredible and also felt healthy without sacrificing on taste. Service was warm, attentive, and friendly. Everyone from the hosts to the servers went out of their way to make our visit enjoyable. Will definitely be coming back!

I had a great experience at Pecan Craft Kitchen. From the moment I walked in, I felt genuine Southern hospitality, which meant a lot as someone from out of town. I sat at the bar and was met with friendly, attentive service, and even a few regulars who gladly shared their favorite dishes. We were celebrating my cousin’s birthday and shared the salmon, filet, chicken lollies, and flatbread. Every dish was delicious. The salmon was spectacular, the filet was just as incredible, and we kept splitting everything because it was all too good not to share. The flatbread was thin with crispy edges and packed with flavor. Our server was warm, knowledgeable, and truly hospitable — something I always notice since I work in hospitality. I’m new in town, but I felt welcomed and comfortable the entire night. I can’t wait to come back.

Our new favorite spot to dine at! The food was off the charts! The atmosphere was Top notch! The welcoming/southern hospitality can’t be beat! We will come for date night/girls night outs/ after church brunch and just to enjoy a nice meal with the family! The decision not to go would be the worst one you could make! Go enjoy the experience and make a neighborhood place for yourself!

From Cornbread to Mason Jars: Perfection in Every Bite! This spot is exactly what everyone is talking about: a fantastic modern Southern restaurant. We kicked things off with, Angel Eggs (heavenly) and Southern Pecan Cornbread (w/ a hint of orange zest). For the main event, the Half Chicken was unbelievably juicy and seasoned to perfection. The Cowboy Caviar and Succotash weren't just afterthoughts; they elevated the entire entree into something sophisticated. We finished the night with their signature Mason Jar Desserts. The Pecan Pie was rich and decadent, a perfect portion too. The experience goes well beyond the plate. The decor strikes a perfect chord—warm and inviting with Southern charm. However, it’s the staff that truly rounds out the evening. The service was highly knowledgeable about the menu and consistently friendly. If you are looking for a stellar meal, this place is a must-visit.

Checked out this newly opened spot and really enjoyed it. Had a reservation and were seated right away. The place has a casual and welcoming vibe. We started with the Southern BBQ chicken flatbread and a hot latte. For mains, my wife and I shared the PK Burger and the pecan-fired salmon superfood. Not bad. The best part for me was the drinks. You get a tap card and can pour your own cocktails, beers, and wines. All are priced by the ounce and very reasonable. I had a couple of beers and a Moscow mule. The spicy ginger was a little strong on the mule which was a letdown. Service was great! Our server was friendly and accommodating. Definitely a spot worth checking out.

F

The black bean soup was the best! Chili was good with creative cocktails, pleasant service and good food, so I'm not sure why I don't love this place. I's just missing the mark somewhere. Appears almost "too perfect" and chainy ?! Maybe there's just too many pecan things. Glad we didn't have to wait; won't be rushing back.

S
Spencer Weeks

Left unsatisfied. For the price the meals were not what I would expect. The chicken was a bit dry and flavorless which is a bummer because whole chicken is usually super tender and absorbs smoke/bbq flavor well. The filets ordered in our group were great cuts but also overcooked and not what you’d expect. Carrots and broccolini were perfect.

V
Vincent Aris

Great restaurant. Really happy to have them in the Mandarin/Fruit Cove area. The best drink idea I have seen. Fantastic atmosphere great entrees, but the sides are horrible. I will be coming back, but please make better sides. The broccoli and the mushrooms were awful.

We arrived at 6:15 without a reservation and were told 30-45 minutes. We weren't seated until about an hour and 15 minutes later. While we waited inside for the final 20 minutes, the hostesses were gossiping about the people waiting and the "glares" they were getting. The main hostess was very sarcastic and condescending to answering the other guests asking about their remaining wait time. After being seated, we waited another 10 minutes before a server brought us water, then another 5 or so before our actual server came. Our actual server was very nice and did a good job. The food was decent, nothing we feel the need to return for. We thought the cornbread and cheese plate were the best part of the meal. Most of the bad experience was from the poor front of house management. It seems like they keep almost all of their tables for reservations, with no leeway for walk-ins. If you're going to have a system like this, just make it reservation only. I would have put 1 star for service because of the hostesses but the server brought that up to a 3.

Went a day after opening day. The place looks amazing, staff were very friendly. Liked the tap wall as you can pour as little or as much as you want and charged by the ounce. Wife and I shared the Half Bird & Two, half a chicken and two sides. While the half bird was plenty to share, the sides were not so keep that in mind if sharing. Overall pretty good, nothing earth shattering, but a good meal. Awesome looking outdoor seating area. One huge annoyance and pretentiousness is the practically forced Valet parking. Over half the parking lot is reserved for Valet and blocked off. The night we went half the Valet spots were empty so it appears there is plenty of parking. This alone will deter me from going back. Overall a good experience, and I'll go back if invited or a group thing but will probably won't be my first choice. That being said, I'm sure they'll do well based on location and the area.

My wife and I came in for a special occasion with our little one and were impressed by the ambiance. The space is beautifully done, and the attention to detail in the construction shows. The kumquat tree in the lobby was a unique touch, and the hostesses were welcoming. We started with the cheese plate and the angel eggs. The cheese plate was excellent. Great balance of hard and soft cheeses, with the pimento cheese standing out. The pears, pecans, and pickled onions tied everything together nicely. Unfortunately, the angel eggs were not good. The bacon lacked a salty punch, the jalapeños brought very little heat, and overall the eggs were short on flavor. The red sauce just didn’t work. This isn’t a particularly kid-friendly menu. There were none of the usual basics you’d expect for a 2–8 year old. Our daughter barely touched the grilled chicken and broccolini, though I’ll say the chicken itself was actually my favorite bite of the night but spicy! Smoky, well-seasoned, and nicely cooked. For mains, we ordered the whole bird and a flatbread. A trio of sauces would really elevate the dish instead of the watery gravy? The smoke flavor on the chicken is delightful. The dark meat and skin were excellent, but some of the white meat was overcooked and dry. I was recently in Savannah and had Brochu’s Family Tradition (known for their whole bird served three ways), and that’s the benchmark I’d point to here, although not local. The flatbread was fine, but nothing memorable. Service was a miss. Our waitress was very kind but not present enough when it counted. Plenty of staff were around clearing plates and refilling waters, yet it took twenty minutes to get the check and leave, which, with a kid, is tough. The pecan pie cup was delicious, banana pudding too heavy on the cinnamon. There’s a lot to like here, especially the space and some of the execution, but a few refinements in food consistency and service would make a big difference. I think a revamp of the kids menu is needed in a kid heavy area.

Good food. Cozy atmosphere. Very very inattentive service. Never asked for refills of our water or coffee. Never asked how I r food was. I'd expect better service at these prices. Waitress didn't seem worried when I spoke professionally to her about service. Guess they run on 'new place' energy but it will come back to bite them as the new-ness wears off.
