We stumbled upon Mario’s on the Seawall after spending a relaxing afternoon on the Galveston pier, and from the moment we walked in we knew we were in for a great evening. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the restaurant had a lovely energy to it. I started with a double espresso to shake off the evening blues, and it was exactly what I needed. For appetizers, we ordered the calamari and bruschetta, both of which were fresh and flavorful. For our mains, we had the Penne del Sol with shrimp, and I chose the catch of the day served with a white cream sauce over angel hair pasta, accompanied by perfectly cooked broccolini. Everything was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. To finish the meal, we shared the tiramisu, which was the perfect sweet ending to a wonderful dinner. A special mention goes to Kallie, our server, who was incredibly hospitable and attentive throughout the evening. She checked in regularly to make sure everything was perfect and truly elevated the experience with her professionalism and warmth. Overall, we had an amazing time and would highly recommend Mario’s on the Seawall to anyone visiting Galveston. We’ll definitely be back!

First I just wanted to start with how much we LOVE Mario's. It's great for birthdays or family dinners. The outside patio is so tranquil with ocean views and a water fountain, and it's pet friendly. But most importantly, we wanted to brag on Morgan and the rest of the Mario's staff. Morgan is an absolute gem and so helpful and sweet. My late boyfriends parents were visiting from Chicago to see all the places their son liked to go before his passing. Unknowing to Morgan, she made what was such a sad evening into a happy one. We laughed all night about the jokes we shared as Morgan helped us go over the menu and find what would feed our little group. She even let us sample the Gelato which was amazing by the way. When we got home, we noticed a hand written note in our to go order that just made it that much more special. My boyfriends parents were so happy they even told everyone on the trolley the next day about their first experience with Mario's. Thank you for treating us like family. You guys are a big part of what makes Galveston truly special. Thank you!

They let us come in even after we had just been to the beach. Their fried ravioli, and mozzarella was amazing. Their Lemonade is a little too sweet, but omg their food is amazing. I got the Chicken Bacon Tortelinni.. it’s been 6 months and I still fantasize about it. Would reccomend. Not to mention the amazing service.

It has been several years since we visited Mario's Seawall Italian Restaurant and it did not disappoint. All our meals were delicious and the service was outstanding! We did go on a Saturday afternoon in December so it was not crowded and we were seated immediately. The last time we went was in April on a Saturday night and the wait was around 1 and a half hours, but the wait is worth it. I recommend either their catch of the day or the Fisherman Stew (which is what I ordered again). And you have to try their brown butter cake, which I did not get a picture of because there were forks in it as soon as it was sat down on the table.

My husband and I visited today for a date day and had an excellent experience all the way from the greeter at the door, our server (wish I remembered her name!) and the food. Oh, the food!!!! We fell in love with real Chicago-style pizza when our son lived there several years ago. We even took a vacation that started with a flight to Chicago for pizza. We were not disappointed with our Mario's pizza! Everything was perfect. The crust, with the crispy pieces, the thick cheeses, the Italian sausage, the delicious tomato-basil sauce. Everything was perfect! We will definitely be back.

Marios is nothing without Peter they should change the name from Marios Seawall Italian & Pizzeria to Peters Seawall Italian & Pizzeria. we had the best server in the world. he was attentive, easy to interact with and very empathetic, he noticed i was vegetarian which ive been for 13 years and its very rare someone notices based off my dietary choices. some take aways from my experience -food was good but Peter made it great -Peter turned this casual dinner into a unforgettable experience -in all my years of living i have never received service so exceptional -Peter should be recognized and valued for his outstanding service and dedication -Peter is so good at his job he convinced us to buy a desert that my boyfriend cant even eat since he is cutting for his body building competition so now i get a nice key lime pie all to myself thank you so much Peter -would visit again only if Peter is my server

We decided to dine at Mario's Seawall Italian Grill located at 628 Seawall Blvd in Galveston Texas. The restaurant wasn't very busy when we first arrived but quickly began to fill. The menu was pretty big and had lots of delicious entrees to choose from. We decided to order the Calamari for our appetizer. Once our appetizer arrived we dug right in and it was a total disappointment. The batter on the Calamari didn't hold very well and they were a little to undercooked for me. For entrees my husband ordered the Lasagna with meat sauce served with garlic bread. I decided on the Chicken Parmesan with Linguine pasta and and green beans both entrees were served with side salads. The greens beans were a little undercooked for me but over all the food and the service was really good. If ever in Galveston Texas check them out.

We had a wonderful dinner at Mario’s in Galveston. It was a Saturday evening and we arrived around 6pm . A short 10 minute wait to be seated . We were sat by the window and had views of the ocean . The waiters were very friendly and came by often to check in with us . We had a salmon fettuccine, a meatball and spaghetti dish and dessert - key lime pie . We did not try the gelato but will next time we stop by! Everything was delicious and we would recommend to our friends and family The restaurant , patios and bathrooms were very clean and tidy. As we were leaving after 7 pm there were a few more families waiting to be seated outside

The food selection and variety of drinks were excellent. There’s something on the menu for every palate, including kids. The atmosphere was amazing and the staff provided outstanding service. They offer a spacious indoor dining area as well as outdoor seating for a more casual vibe. The desserts were the highlight—absolutely delicious and with a wide variety to choose from. Solid Italian fare. We had Nona's meatballs, which was a strong 4 with flaky, thin, crispy bread slices, fried calamari that tasted fresh and the batter was light and crispy. Both sauces could have been a little more interesting but it was standard marinara. For entrees, we had a hand tossed buffalo chicken pizza that was so soaked with cheese and buffalo sauce that the whole pizza was wet, soggy, salty, and dense, making it hard to eat. I ordered a seafood fettuccine that had fresh seafood.. but every bite I took had bits of crab shell that i had to pick from my mouth... it really took away from the enjoyment of the dish. The sauce was standard alfredo sauce... I ended up adding some ground pepper, parmesean, and a dash of chili flakes to give it some dimension. I was originally debating between the lobster fettuccine or the seafood but usually places with "lobster" give you microscopic flecks of it and another reviewer said it was more like a bisque so I went with seafood. Overall, it was good, fresh, standard Italian food. Could use some improvements to the pizza and fettuccine, but it was a decent meal with great service.

We stopped by Mario's for lunch and enjoyed some of the best meatballs we've ever had along with the delicious lasagna pizza. Our drinks were also quite tasty. We ordered an Italian sub to go to enjoy the following day while we travel, but it wasn't exactly as described... It was smaller than expected and, while tasty, it wasn't constructed very well. The flavors are all there, though, and the pizza has the best pizza crust we've had in a very long time... They definitely keep their pizza ovens clean!

To begin, our server Jessica was outstanding. I have been a bartender and server since I was old enough to work in restaurants and she impressed me beyond words. She was extremely friendly and welcoming, she memorized our orders and got them correct down to the smallest detail, she was very fast and very personable. The food, however, was not acceptable. We were served rotten chicken, rotten mint and fruit in our drinks, and suspect cross contamination of gluten for someone with an intolerance. When we raised this point to the manager, Pam, she offered a free desert (which we declined as by this point we felt quite ill) and only made us pay for the appetizer and drinks that didn’t have rotten fruit. Both Pam and Jessica were very apologetic and listened to our complaints. Never before have I ever complained about anything at all in a restaurant as I understand things can go wrong, and I’ve been on the receiving end enough, but this was unacceptable. I have never in my life left a restaurant planning to be sick as soon as I was in private. My hope isn’t to cause Pam or Jessica any grief, but clearly the kitchen staff needs to be retrained, the bartender needs to be retrained, and everyone needs to retake their food safety certifications. Ingredients past their date or showing signs of spoilage cannot be kept in a restaurant and must be thrown away immediately.
