This is the oldest bar still operating in downtown Galveston. They opened in 1986. Tiffany took great care of us. It’s definitely a locals hang out. We stopped in on a late Saturday afternoon and everyone who walked in after us seemed to know each other. They were all very welcoming to us though. Prices are great. 4 drinks was $17 before tip (don't forget to tip your bartenders!). The decor is really fun. Witty sayings and fun dive bar stuff that makes it unique. They have a small room off the regular bar area with a jukebox, tables and dartboards. Highly recommend if you want a fun Irish experience with decorative flare. Will return.

My husband and I love this bar, it's typically our last stop whenever we're on a bar crawl because of its relaxing atmosphere. Its a great place have a beer and water and watch TV to unwind before heading back home. Very nice friendly staff and relaxing environment.Love it!

1st visit in a long time. Decided to try when it would not be a smoke-filled room. Lucked out and no one smoking today. Had the Rueben and chips. Sandwich was good but could be a little hotter and bread a little more toasty. My fault, we should have requested this upfront. all in all, good visit and Jay at the bar took great care of us.

Great local dive bar. Smoking is permitted inside so do not complain about. Drink specials every day with Karaoke on Thursdays. Prices are nearly half that of beach front places. Pool table available. Bartenders provide excellent service. Minimal food options.

They make the best Reuben on the island! EVERYTIME I COME HERE THEY STILL HAVE THE BEST REUBEN! Get Salt & Vinegar chips, they're better than the potato salad. The only downside is it's kinda smokey, of course if you smoke you'd love it. When we go, I say "Let's get a smoky Reuben!" It's our joke.

I had the reuben sandwich, it was mediocre. Most reuben sandwiches I've had were stuffed well with sauerkraut and meat, their sandwich was lacking. The dark rye bread overpowered the taste.

The dude running the bar here was super cool. That said, it is not a place for grub. We heard the microwave go off a few times. If you've had some drinks and need something to chow on, then go ahead - that's what it's for. $9.50 for a microwaved sandwich, so if you're up for that, cool. For an Irish establishment, there was not very much the Irish feel, but then, this is Galveston, TX, so also, if you're up for that, cool. Still, the guy was awesome and he was friendly enough for me to say I would drink there again after having a lot of drinks at home because at that point I would not care where I was or how expensive the microwaved sandwich was.

Was charged $25 for a Guinness and a single, well whisky sprite. Was definitely a night for rude, overpriced service. It’s definitely been a gamble every time I go here if it’s worth it or not. Good luck.

This was one of the most disappointing places to call themselves a bar the lady behind the bar was unfriendly and super disrespectful people I have meet you should look into being respectful to your customers

I went to grab a sandwich to go. The older lady behind the bar was extremely rude. I simply asked “may i place a togo order for a sandwich” she replied yes and stares at me. I go on and ask for a menu. She hands it to me and the menus are newer, so i make sure they have the sandwich i typically order. I asked for the turkey melt with no bacon (I don’t eat pork it’s against my religion). She replies “no it comes with the sandwich you can’t take it off”. I’ve order this and many more sandwiches from this place and they have done this many times for me and others. I didn’t appreciate the attitude that was given and the way she went about this and it’s not her first time being this way towards me. Never ask for much anytime I go. Simply a beer and sandwich but this will be the last time i order from this place. Definitely needs to work on her attitude either way dealing with customers.
