Wonderful place for a bite of the South. Drinks and food was amazing from the fried deviled eggs to oxtail to the seafood mac&ch. It was all lovely. Service was great and attentive. The atmosphere needs some noise reducers as one group's loudness can echo out the entire room. Also needs some some wall repair immediately. Overall can't wait to go again for the food.
Me and my dad tried Mrs. Kim’s establishment and we came back 2 days later for brunch because it was THAT good!! Food is excellent, servers are on point, & the atmosphere is such a VIBE!!!! Definitely do yourself a favor & try Miss Toya’s Southern Brunch…….Fire!!!!
Nashara and Jamie were great! Everything they suggested was hot, fresh and tasted great! Will definitely be coming back soon
If you’re looking for a restaurant that delivers incredible food, top-tier service, and a welcoming atmosphere, look no further than Miss Toya’s! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by how clean and spacious the establishment was. The ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the perfect tone for an amazing dining experience. Now, let’s talk about the food—because WOW. Every single bite was packed with flavor and perfectly seasoned. You can tell that a lot of care goes into each dish, and the portions were more than generous. Nothing felt bland or rushed; instead, everything tasted like it was made with passion and love. If you’re someone who appreciates well-seasoned, flavorful food, you will not be disappointed here! A huge shoutout to our server, GiGi, who truly elevated our experience. She was not only friendly and welcoming but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. She took the time to walk us through different options and had fantastic recommendations that did not disappoint. It’s always refreshing to have a server who genuinely knows the menu and can guide you to the best choices. Kudos to GiGi for her amazing service! Since I’m currently pregnant, I wasn’t able to try any cocktails, but my mom ordered one and absolutely loved it. She said it was crafted to perfection—balanced, flavorful, and refreshing. It’s clear that the bar staff knows what they’re doing when it comes to making a great drink. A huge thank you to the owner for creating such a fantastic restaurant. From the food to the service to the atmosphere, everything was on point. I will 1000% be back—and I’ll be bringing friends and family with me! If you haven’t been to Miss Toya’s yet, do yourself a favor and make a reservation. You won’t regret it! Update: Ended up coming here two days after my original review, and just as last time…top notch service and amazing food. I am just so shocked at how awesome this place is. Last time, we came around opening. Tonight we enjoyed dinner. The server/bartender Alfred was awesome. He was social (I enjoy that at restaurants) and according to my husband and mother, he made some GREAT drinks! We also got to meet a gentleman by the name of AB who checked on us as well. Great staff!! Great food!! Please, if you’re in the area, check this place out.
This was my first time eating at Miss Toya's and this was probably one of the best meals I've ever had in my life. I got Pork chops with the sides of collard greens and 5 cheese mac. One word 👌 PERFECT 👌 The only thing I would consider the restaurant adding would be some nice Southern desserts. Banana Pudding, pound cake, pineapple upside down cake, and some sort of pie 🥧 The service was great, people were really nice , and overall I had a great experience.
I had the pleasure of visiting Miss Toya's today, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. I ordered the Mambo Wings with Mac & Cheese (so good I didn’t get a pic lol) and paired it with a Tsunami drink — everything was exceptional. The wings were perfectly crispy, coated with just the right amount of sauce, and the mac & cheese was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. I sat at the bar and was served by Gigi, whose service was outstanding. She was attentive, friendly, and really went above and beyond to make sure I had a great time. Her drink-making skills are top-notch — the Tsunami was perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. The customer service overall was amazing, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere made the experience even better. I’d give this visit a solid 10/10 and will definitely be coming back!
On a scale of 1 to 5 ...I would give Miss Toya's Gambrills location a 10 out 10. Sam and Bourama are the best Mixologists....not your ordinary Bartenders. Chef Daouda is off the chain...
Amazing food and our waitress was outstanding. The waitress was very tentative to our needs. We enjoyed our visit and will be back to try some more of the yummy sounding items on the menu.
Amazing Bottomless Brunch… Our server Andre was great and attended to us well… We will be returning!!!
I was hanging out in Waugh Chapel this evening and stumbled upon Miss Toya's. I wasn't sure if they were open, but saw people inside so we went in. After viewing the menu, decided to pop in for a visit and order some food. We ordered the Make it a Platter from the Small Plates section. Ordered the Spinach Dip, Fried Devied Eggs, and Hot Honey Salmon Bites. Food didn't take long to come out. It was hot and well seasoned. We liked the deviled eggs and Salmon Bites the most. We enjoyed some smooth R&B while we ate 😌. Staff was pleasant and helpful. We hope to visit again and definitely want to check out the brunch.
Food was delicious! I came here for my birthday dinner. We ordered the stuffed shrimp and jerk chicken rolls to start. They were so good. My entree was the gumbo with rice and cornbread and my man ordered the fried chicken dinner with mac n cheese and collard greens. The peach cobbler for dessert was so yummy but we were stuffed from the generous food portions so I only had a few bites. But I really like the way they cooked the peaches. I also had the tsunami for a celebratory birthday drink. I will be back.
Marquis customer service was excellent. The food was so flavorful and fresh. My husband and I ordered grilled pork chops, sweet potatoes, cabbage, shrimp and grits, jerk chicken rolls. . Every single item was great!! We will be back. The General Manger Roger offered superb service!! Thank you so much!! Francis Family
We came during the soft opening. This place did not disappoint. My fiancé ordered crab cakes, but it was not exactly what she was expecting. The manager “Abiola” came by to of course ask us if everything was ok. After hearing her complaint he offered something else and apologized. Her next meal came out promptly. Our waitress was “Ali B” informed us it was her first day, but she was phenomenal. Services was all around a 10. I have nothing bad to say.
I'm glad I ignored the reviews. Even though they're still in their soft opening, everything was done so well. I made a reservation to take my sister to lunch for her birthday. Apparently, they dont open until 3 but made an exception to accommodate us. They were genuinely kind and the food was delicious. I'm impressed and will be back.
My first 5 star dining experience of the New Year and I couldn't be more excited to write this review and tell everyone all about it. I've been to 2 different Miss Toyas restaurants (Silver Springs & Baltimore) so when I found this location 20 mins from Maryland Live Casino Resort, I just had to go have lunch here today. This location is also located in a shopping center like the other two visited, so parking wasn't a problem. Staffing was short today but we still were able to be seated quickly. The restaurant is not really large but very clean. Due to them being short staffed, we were seated and served by their newly appointed GM. I'll get into his A1 customer service shortly but I'll start off witg the food. It was 5 of us total, so we ordered a little bit of everything and shared amoungst each other. We had the Chargrilled Oysters, Hot Honey Lemon Pepper Wings, Cajun Wings, Lamb Chops, Mac & Cheese, Sweet Potatoes, Fried Devil Eggs, Steak & Cheese Egg Rolls, Jerk Chicken Eggs Rolls, Gumbo w/ Crab Leg on Top, hot Honey Salmon Bites, Cornbread, Spinach Dip, Banana Pudding, and Bread Pudding. Everything was great. The only thing we weren't too crazy about was the crab leg on top of the gumbo but everything else was so good. To drink, we all had the hurricanes. They were sooo good but dont get it twisted, they will sneak up on you so dont let the sweetness fool you lol. We also had the blueberry iced tea, which became MY FAVORITE drink. Now onto the service, the GM Shamikh has some of the most amazing customer service I've ever received. He was attentive, entertaining, friendly, and extremely accommodating. He made many recommendations and went out of his way to make sure we tried new things we hadn't tried at the other locations we previously visited. Everything came out in a timely manner. We have been talking about our visit today since we left and cannot wait to go back. We will definately be calling ahead to ensure Shamikh is there before we come because he made our experience everything it was. For anyone hesitent about visiting this place, dont be. Give them a try.
OMG why haven't we tried this place sooner?! So good!! Be warned, the entrées are huge!! Even the kids meal! We wound up taking about 50% total of all the meal home, which is amazing! The food is so good too. It has plenty of southern soul infused into it. Certain dishes transported me back to NOLA as well, like the Hurricane (cocktail) and chargrilled oysters. The fried chicken was nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked. The white meat was moist throughout, which isn't always easy to do! Everyone loved it though. The service and atmosphere were both excellent! My only complaints? The temperature was quite warm inside. And our food took a bit of time coming out; plus the adult dishes showed up about 10 minutes before the kids meal. We shared, though, and nobody went hungry! But, those are literally the only constructive criticisms I have. Minor complaints. Good food takes time for sure! We absolutely loved the entire experience and we can't wait to come back!!
The food was FABULOUS! I had the gumbo—flavorful and great portion for the price. The seafood egg rolls, wings, and deviled eggs were shared and everyone got a taste! The bread pudding was so moist and delicious. Finally, I have to say, the service was above and beyond excellent!! Haven was our server and we had a five-star experience!
Yes! The food, the service, the atmosphere… all of it. My husband and I went out for a date Friday date night. I got the fried hot honey salmon bites. Whewwwww chile, they were the best salmon bites I’ve ever had. Every entree we ordered hit the spot. The waiters were kind, professional, and relational. Not to mention how delicious the drinks were 😍. 100% recommend.
Miss Toya’s in Gambrills did not disappoint! The atmosphere, ambience, and attentiveness of the staff made me glad that we chose this restaurant. It’s clean and nicely decorated with minimalist touches. The menu was plentiful, yet pleasing. We chose the red snapper with collard greens and sweet potatoes. We also had a platter of appetizers, which includes 3. Kudos to the chef! Portions were plentiful and the presentations were great for pictures! Ask for E! He was a great server. We will be back. 😊
Went to Ms. Toyas in Gambrills for brunch today. The food was great and the service was great. We had the deviled eggs, wings, catfish and grits, steak and eggs, and French toast. I also had the mimosa flight. I will definitely be going back.
This is the second location I have been to and I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner here. The location is great with plenty to do around it and the atmosphere of the restaurant inside is great! I ordered the lamb chops with cornbread and mac and cheese and everything was amazing!! I will definitely be back. I also came with a pretty large group of about 12 people. They were willing to let us sit together and accommodate everyone and Haven, our waitress, was a gem! I can’t wait to come back!
Miss Toya’s is always a good experience. The food is consistently good, the drinks never disappoint, and it’s such an easy, go-to spot to stop by. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Sometimes there’s a wait, but that’s expected for a place this popular and worth it every time.
The French toast and salmon and grits gets a chefs kiss! My friend liked her blueberry pancakes. Our server Shara was attentive to details and double-checked everything. 10 out of 10 on the food and service. The bathroom was not clean though.
Just tried miss toya's southern kitchen waugh chapel and I’m blown away. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was top tier. My waiter, Andre, recommended some of his personal favorites and I couldn’t resist trying them all. Every single dish was full of flavor honestly, I still can’t decide which one I liked most. This is definitely the kind of spot you’ll want to visit with a group so everyone can try something different and share. The vibe is perfect for all age ranges, and I can’t wait to come back with my entire family. Highly recommend!
I was skeptical about coming after reading previous reviews. It was my birthday and who wants a botched birthday celebration. I was glad I gave them a chance. The food was great and served timely. Our server, Jamie, was extremely attentive. There was a live saxophone player. The only negative was that my husband said it was my birthday and they didn’t do anything to recognize it. Would I go back, absolutely.
Will definitely be back! Our server E and bartender Barahm made a returning customer out of me. 5 stars is not enough. Atmosphere and playlist 10 out of 10. Food amazing everyone at our table ordered something different and was satisfied. Lamb chops and macaroni were amazing. Gumbo flavorful and tasty. Definitely order dessert! Peach cobbler was my fav. Others enjoyed the banana pudding. You don’t want to miss out. The drinks were flavorful and strong. Can’t wait to go back.
Absolutely enjoyed my experience at Miss Toya’s! Came in for my birthday and the staff made me feel welcome and celebrated my entire visit. Shout out to the bartender, Bourama, for being extra excellent. The vibes were good, the food was good, the drinks were good. Will definitely be back on a more regular basis!

Miss Toya’s was an incredible experience from start to finish. Every single dish was delicious — full of rich, authentic Creole flavor and clearly made with care. You can taste the freshness and the love in every bite. From the appetizers to the entrées, everything was seasoned perfectly and cooked to perfection. The service was just as impressive. The staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive the entire time, making sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. It’s rare to find a place where both the food *and* the service shine equally, but Miss Toya’s absolutely delivers. If you’re looking for a spot with fantastic food, great energy, and top-tier hospitality, this is it. I’ll definitely be returning!
Brunch at Miss Toya’s was absolutely fantastic! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming and vibrant, and everything felt thoughtfully done. A special shout-out to Shara, our hostess… she was truly impeccable! Her warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism made the entire experience even better. From start to finish, it was a wonderful bottomless brunch experience, and I can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!
Me and the wife desired an evening dinner in a nice relaxing environment. So we look to Miss Toya’s to provide us the evening for a pleasant dinner. I was concerned based on the delayed seating which they have to work on creating to effective and efficient seating arrangements. First appearance is critical and recommend addressing this issue up front. However, once we were seated, our hostess Jamie was outstanding, she walked us through the menu and trust me when I say the flight margarita she recommended was excellent!!! She followed that with recommendations for the lamb chops and seafood lasagna which was seasoned to taste perfectly palated. The seasoned dishes truly excited the pallets and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was casual and music was pleasant as song along with some Xmas songs. I can see this restaurant scaling to become an elegant restaurant. Recommend exploring the menu for the next stage. Keep smiling and evolving to the next stage!! Dr. McCallister
I'm so excited to have found Miss Toya's. I had been wanting to try this spot for a while and it was worth the wait! The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is bright and fun, and the food is delicious! I had the greens and mashed potatoes and they were stained well. My friend had the shrimp and grits and she loved them. I will definitely be back
Food is amazing!!! Everything was delicious! Service was mid...but it is Juneteenth and maybe they had more people than expected. Everyone was friendly. The food came out quickly, but it was the little things...like waiting 4o min for the bar to prepare drinks (just a peach lemonade) and waiting for 10 min after you received your food for silverware and napkins (which i got up and retreived myself). Again...I think they were just slammed...and the little inconveniences were totally worth it! Definitely make a reservation. They take walk ins, but there is a wait.
Had dinner today at this place for the first time! For appetizers we didn’t like the deviled it being deep fried and crunchy. Fried chicken dinner is okay, I just think the sweet potato side that I chose to go with it didn’t pair with it as it was terribly sweet for me, but the fried rice were good, Fried catfish with broccolini and mashed potato is the best. The atmosphere is good but it just feels like a little hot inside.
Second time and still a charm. Restaurant is still in its soft opening, but experience so far has been good. I’ve had the char boiled oysters, shrimp, and grits, oxtail, crab fries food was excellent. Only area of improvement I would suggest is expanding the wine list.
We visited Miss Toya’s in Gambrills on Saturday, October 25, 2025 to celebrate my mom’s birthday with a 2:30 PM reservation for brunch. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a fun and relaxing celebration started off with a frustrating delay. Upon arrival, there was a line of people without a standing host to greet the incoming patrons or to inform everyone about the wait. Once to the front of the line, the manager told us to give about 10 minutes so they could close out another table that we would be seated at. That “10 minutes” turned into over 30, and we weren’t seated until around 3:05 PM. Once seated, our waitress, Janice, kindly greeted us and mentioned she’d be right with us. It then took another 20 minutes just to receive water, by 3:25 PM. At that point, we were informed that brunch service had ended at 3:00 PM. Given that the delay was entirely on the restaurant’s end, I asked if they could make an exception and still accommodate brunch items. Unfortunately, they said no. If I hadn’t had a party of ten for a special occasion, I likely would have left. It was disappointing to have planned for brunch only to be told we couldn’t order it after waiting over half an hour past our reservation time. It seemed like a reasonable request, and the lack of flexibility really took away from the experience. I ended up ordering from the dinner menu, opting for a few sides and appetizers: grits, mac n cheese, and the appetizer sampler (Deep Fried Deviled Eggs, Mambo Wings, and Jerk Chicken Rolls). To their credit, the food was very good, especially the mac n cheese, which was easily the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The Deep Fried Deviled Eggs had an unconventional spin by being deep fried, which is the reason why I was tempted to order them, but overall didn’t add to the flavor pallet of the eggs. Though service started off slow, Janice was incredibly sweet, patient, and polite throughout. She did her best to make our experience enjoyable once she was able to get to us. Overall, the food was great, but the service and management coordination fell short. If the hospitality and timeliness matched the quality of the food, this could have been a 5-star experience. I would consider visiting Miss Toya’s again, but perhaps not this location.
The food was good. Chicken and catfish were fried a little too hard for my taste. The macaroni and cheese was not cooked to my liking, was expecting to see different cheeses. The corn bread and greens were fine, just not cooked to my taste. The yams/sweet potatoes, flavored tea, and flavored lemonade were excellent. Would recommend that you try them out. I would go back again to try other dishes. Excellent atmosphere and good service.
The flavor of each dish and service was amazing. The atmosphere is really calm and relaxing. My server Togodo was wonderful and very attentive. The only reason for my missing star is that we thought this location had the seafood brunch buffet like the Laurel location but our server said it was in the works but not here yet! My shrimp and grits dish was delicious. My sister had the salmon sandwich and cousin had the oxtail and grits. Everyone loved their dishes!
Popped in for lunch and I was quite impressed. The food and drinks were very good. Mostly fried so you can't beat that. Stop in for a bite. And that pretty drink in my pictures was the best part.
We reserved this spot for my BFF’s birthday dinner. The area of this new location, the shopping center was pleasantly & surprisingly updated. This was my second crack at this establishment as I did dine at the one in Silver Spring and figured everyone deserves a second chance. We went from one waitress to about 3 since we were seated at around 8:30ish and some didn’t get their drinks until 9:15ish. We were party of 8 and the food also took a while for it to come out and it did not come out all at the same time. The dishes once arrived I must say were waaaay better than my first experience. We had a nice variety of items on the table, fried catfish, mac & cheese, salmon w/crab, broccolini, honey salmon bites, seafood egg rolls, jambalaya, etc. Everyone said that their food was flavorful and the drinks were good. I dropped two stars due to 1) wait times and 2) attitude of the waitresses some who we even had to flag down at times. It was a busy Saturday night but it’s a restaurant so I wish they’d prepared better for the weekend surge.
Ordered takeout from here and the Stuffed Shrimp ($17) was a huge letdown. For that price, I got four tiny shrimp; barely enough to call an appetizer, let alone a meal. They were even skimpy with the corn it sat on. Honestly, there was nothing "stuffed" about this shrimp. Here’s what I ordered: Salmon Bites ($15) – delicious Stuffed Shrimp ($17) – four small shrimp for nearly twenty bucks! Not worth it! Seafood Fried Rice ($15) – The rice tasted bland. Fried Green Tomatoes – Good, some aoili sauce would have been nice. Overall, the food is just not worth the price. Portions are way too small for what they charge, especially after spending over $65. If they want people to keep coming back, they really need to fix the serving sizes for carryout.
My family took me to celebrate my birthday. I had been a few times previously, but during lunch and HH only. I had the oxtails, crab mac and greens. The food and drinks are always absolutely delicious. I also had the oysters (10/10) and deviled eggs to start. The servers were all relatively young, and I think they did the best they knew how. However, I rated the service so low, because the food came out sporadically. My crab mac and cheese came out 10 minutes after the rest of my food. One of my guests received his plate after most of us were almost finished eating, and after they mistakenly gave him another one of my guests food. There are inconsistencies in prepping of the food. For instance, 3 of my guests ordered a chicken dish that comes with some type of gravy. Two guests received so much gravy that you could barely see the chicken. The other guests, they put his gravy on the side. One of my guests had the dish twice before, and they automatically put her gravy on the side so she didn't think she needed to ask for it on the side this time around. I love a good flight, and the lemon drop flights here are delicious. However, the menu should be more clear with lemon drop flights vs margarita flights. They are listed together on the menu. However, the lemon drop flight comes with 3 and the margarita flights comes with 4 automatically. Lastly, I made an online reservation a few days ahead of time and specified on the reservation (twice) it was for my birthday. I also told the GM the night before when I called to correct the number of party guests. It went from 9 to 10 guests. The 10th guest's was a 4 year old. I greatly appreciate her for making the accommodation to not make the birthday lady (me) pay the deposit. As we were leaving, one of my guests asked if they celebrate birthday guests there. Our waitress, I believe her name was Marie, (I liked her, she was good by the way) said she didn't realize we were celebrating a birthday and she would've had them sing to me. I didn't think I needed to remind them myself that it was my birthday. Usually they ask if you are celebrating a special occassion when you arrive or whatever you indicate in the online reservation is made known to the waistress. Regardless, our waitress apologized and made up for it by sending me home with two desserts. The peach cobbler was yummy, but the banana pudding was mostly pudding. I want to continue to support this black owned business and see Miss Toya's thrive, but I'm afraid they will loose more customers with some of these practices and slow service. I will return and support them, but not with a large party and not on a Saturday night. I saw a few patrons (couples) that appeared to be frustrated with the slow service as well. So I don't think my large party had anything to do with the slowness. Again, I will still continue to support them.
The menu says blackened catfish but when they bring it out, it’s not blackened. The food runner said “grilled catfish.” Why have blackened on the menu if you’re not providing that? The drink I ordered wasn’t good at all. The food was good though. Visited for the 2nd time 10/3. Took us a while for the waitress to greet us. Our drinks were slow. The bar needs more bartenders seriously. The appetizer (spinach dip) was good but took forever as well. I have to delete one star because of the service. The second picture is the 2nd time I visited.
Had a late lunch. Service was top notch. But I am saddened to say that the food is mediocre at best. Blackened fish was dry and looked like it was simply pan fried without the breading. A corn muffin was glazed with something that I'm guessing was honey, I dunno, but I do know that one corn muffin was $6. And no, it isn't big enough to share. Atmosphere, service, and presentation of food was wonderful. Sadly that doesn't make up for lackluster meals.
We visited for brunch on a Saturday. My first concern was that coffee was not offered. Given that this is a brunch service, I was surprised that even a basic drip coffee was unavailable. My second concern was that the only brunch option offered was a $55 bottomless food experience. This was not indicated anywhere online prior to making our reservation. While this concept may appeal to some guests, it is a significant amount of food to consume within a two-hour window. I would have appreciated having the option to choose between participating in the bottomless menu or ordering à la carte. As for the food, it was generally acceptable. The three-way oysters lacked flavor. The catfish was good, though slightly on the salty side. The grits were creamy and well-prepared. The chicken and waffles were excellent—the chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the waffle was light and fluffy. Unfortunately, the spinach dip was disappointing; it was served cold. I returned it and requested another order, but the replacement was also cold. The highlight of the experience was our server, Andre. He was patient, polite, and informative throughout our visit. Although the restaurant was very busy and he appeared to be managing multiple tables, he handled the situation professionally and did his best under the circumstances. Overall, it was an average experience. I wouldn’t strongly recommend it, but I wouldn’t discourage others from trying it for themselves.
I visited Miss Toya’s in Gambrills for brunch and left disappointed. The service was great. Our server was friendly, attentive, and professional. The problem was the food. We ordered the shrimp and grits, pork chop and grits, the catfish and grits amongst other things. All three were excessively salty. This wasn’t bold seasoning, it was overpowering salt to the point that it distracted from the actual flavors of the dishes. When we raised the concern, we were told it was “Creole seasoning.” Creole seasoning adds depth and spice. It does not make every dish taste heavily salted. I did like the grits, the house chips, the fried deviled eggs and the white chocolate bread pudding Great service can’t compensate for food that isn’t properly balanced. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t return.
First time visiting this establishment and most likely my last. We went for the bottomless brunch. The atmosphere and service was decent. The bathroom was a disaster. The food was waaaaayyyy too salty! The best tasting item I had was the French toast other than that, I’m honestly disappointed. 🫤
Our experience at the Gambrills location was completely unacceptable, and we will never return. We arrived at 12:00 PM for our reservation. The restaurant was nearly empty, yet it still took more than 20 minutes for a waiter to come to our table. When he finally did, we ordered Miss Toya’s Hurricane drinks ($7 each). While they were presented well, it was obvious that very cheap liquor was used. We ordered the fried deviled eggs and stuffed shrimp as appetizers, which were decent. Unfortunately, everything went downhill after that. For our entrées, we ordered two fried chicken dinners with macaroni and cheese, jambalaya pasta, and gumbo. The fried chicken and macaroni and cheese were clearly old. The chicken was extremely dark, dry, and inedible, and the macaroni and cheese tasted reheated from the night before. Serving old food is unacceptable under any circumstances. Instead of offering to replace the meals, management applied a meaningless 15% discount. That response alone shows a complete lack of accountability. The billing issues were just as bad. We had already calculated our bill to be around $150, yet we were presented with a total of $225. After bringing this to the waiter’s attention, he returned with a revised bill of $185 — still incorrect. The discount had not been properly applied, and a 20% gratuity was added, even though a party of four should only be charged 15%. A manager was eventually involved, but even then, the bill could not be explained until we broke down the math ourselves. Only after that did we receive the correct total of $156, which should have been the amount from the start. Between the slow service, old reheated food, and blatant billing errors, this experience was a complete failure. If you choose to dine here, inspect your food carefully and review your bill line by line. After this visit — and after seeing the poor ratings at other locations — we will absolutely not give this place another chance.
The food and the service at this location was terrible. Tried to have my birthday here and completely just over it. The location did not start their ayce brunch here that was suppose to start October 25ish and if we reserved a party for that, then the host should've stated that when called about a party for that. Quick to take a $200 deposit down for a big group. We all got seated and didn't receive any service for 20 mins while the manager and 2 staff members were catering to a blogger. Our waiter and the manager seen laughing while they're talking and everyone at our table didn't receive water. The blogger clearly had food that wasn't on the menu. Everything she had looked exactly like the food from the brunch menu we looked into. The manager really didn't help with any other costumers in the restaurant. We only ordered appetizers and they weren't good. The rolls were doughy, the spinach dip someone got wasn't good, a platter that came out was cold, and the stuffed shrimp was a bit salty. The best thing we had were the chicken, oysters, and drinks. Just safe to say go for the drinks and the bar if you do go. My family was looking forward to this restaurant and completely was disappointed. We all agreed that we would not be back.
I didn't try the food. I made a reservation but was running 10 minutes behind. I understand of the table was no longer available. But that wasn't the issue. They were able to get us another table. It's their policies for the bottomless brunch- 2 hours to c9mplete, plate has to be 80 percent empty to order another plate, small plates.....too much policing. So I left. I saw another older couple leave without staying. Doesn't work for me. Not at $55. I'd rather pay a little extra without all the rules. I dont really eat much but that type of regulation makes me uncomfortable. 80 percent empty!!!
