I visited Preston Farm and Winery for the first time last month. I visited with my family and there was a total of 6 of us. We had a lovely time and it was everyone's favorite winery while in Healdsburg. First, the property was beautiful and peaceful. Produce and grapes all grown organically. We packed a picnic from the General Store to enjoy while tasting. Annie was a wonderful and personable host. And the wines were great. It was hard to choose which ones to purchase a bottle of to take home (we settled on the Barbera, Petite Sirah and 1/2 doz eggs. I don't recall the wines everyone else took with them). Now lets talk about the cats. We were blessed with the appearance of Tuna, Ike and Twinkie. Tuna even laid out on our table for a bit. Great wine and cat pets - what is not to love. Can't wait to visit again.
We had such a lovely time at Preston Farm and Winery — it was the perfect blend of great wine, beautiful scenery, and genuine hospitality. Lainey and Terrence were incredible hosts, and we loved learning they had Texas ties — it made the warm, friendly vibe feel even more special! And we absolutely have to give a shoutout to Lainey’s sweet dog, Betty — she was the cutest little greeter and definitely added to the charm of the day. Can't forget Tuna, the outdoor cat, who was also a wonderful host, making her rounds and adding a little extra charm to the experience. The wines were fantastic, with beautiful labels that caught our eye just as much as the flavors impressed our palates. The outdoor seating was ideal for enjoying the sunny weather, and the whole space felt relaxed and inviting. There happened to be a spring break camp going on while we were there, and the happy energy from the kids made the place feel even more alive. Our own kids had a great time soaking in the scenery and enjoying the open space. All in all, it was a delightful experience — delicious wine, friendly faces, and a laid-back, joyful atmosphere. Preston is a must-stop if you're in the area!
Beautiful and charming property. This really reminds me of wineries I visited in Italy, nothing commercial or pretentious like the majority of wineries in Wine Country. Wines are great, but the space is really magical to have picnics and love they have a farmstand as well. A place really connected with their environment and really makes you feel cozy and welcome. I wish all wineries were like this. Their rosé is really refreshing and fruity and savory, but I enjoy more reds usually, Barbera is solid and their GSM blend is top quality.
Visite chaleureuse et sympathique🤩🐝🍷Superbes vignobles et ferme très bio aux pratiques régénératrices 🌱 Loved my visit at Preston where the staff was friendly and kind. The wines are delightful representing the terroir with great distinction. I also picked up some delicious organic produce and peaches! Can’t wait to visit again with friends in tow.
I’ve never had much luck with organic wines before, but every wine here was outstanding. Great quality across the board, and the service was excellent as well.
We loved the atmosphere of this farm. I loved that it is an active farm, which makes it more enjoyable. I loved the cats hanging out. I made the rounds petting them. Their olive oil was the best. Expensive, but delicious. Everyone enjoyed their homemade sourdough bread as wel. The wine was delicious. This is a must stop farm and winery.
Huge fan for 20+ years. On this visit, I bought the Cinsaut and Grenache. Both are exceptional. If you appreciate genuine folks who make excellent wines, find your way to Preston.
Preston Farm and Winery is a great, and interesting vineyard and active farm. Sonoma County vineyards are becoming biodynamic and Preston Vineyard is a great example. Great reds and whites plus eggs, olives, and other fresh farm food.
Disclaimer: I am not a sommelier by any stretch of the word. I'd describe my palette as appreciative of fine wine but not above the occasional Bota box or bottle of two buck chuck. This place is a lovely little oasis in the midst of wine country. We picked up some cheese and Sourdough bread and enjoyed a picnic-style tasting on the grounds, with an extra-friendly (not annoyingly so) farm cat who we called Scout. Everyone we encountered was welcoming and friendly, and did not seem to judge the fact that neither my partner nor I were wearing boat shoes or dressed in wine-tasting attire. Side note: this is a thing. Google it. Anyway - we loved the chill vibe and the wine was delicious. Highly recommend bringing some cash for the farm store. Overall, five stars from us!
Tuna really made us feel at home Preston winery! Thank you!

We visited this wonderful farm and winery in 2008. We brought home a couple of bottles, one of which I forgot about. I opened it early this year, and was so delighted, I joined their wine club. The first shipment has been so excellent that I recommend it highly to anyone who will listen! ! Their Mourvèdre is fantastic!
We had a magical afternoon at Preston, tasting wines under the trees with a view of the vineyards. The team made us feel completely at home and relaxed while we enjoyed and learned about their beautiful Dry Creek wines.
Juan was incredibly helpful and a lot of fun to guide us through Preston’s wine. He was a supreme host and a highlight to this pit stop! This was a fantastic stop for a garden picnic & delicious wines. We really loved the garden, the few cats lounging and the picnic tables with nice shade. There is also a nice farm stand shop!
My wife and I had a fabulous time visiting Preston Farm & Winery! The place is lovely. The ambience was only outdone by the wine and our host/server Terrance. There are many picnic tables around the outdoor area, but we opted for the wicker couch, chairs and table on the portico. Lounging around with Terrance providing us with a variety of fabulous wines and sharing the history of the farm and it’s surrounds for two and a half hours was about the nicest way to spend an afternoon as we could have imagined. As we sipped some truly great wine, we were graced by the presence of one of the feline residents of the farm, Tuna. Unbeknownst to us, we had chosen Tuna’ favorite napping area. With very little encouragement, Tuna hopped up between us and nestled in as we enjoyed a variety of whites, roses and reds. The wines were great as was Terrance’s depth of knowledge of the wines. Among our favorites were the Madam Preston, the L. Preston a Nero D’Avola and (our favorite), the Barbera. All in all, a nicer time we could not have had. Between Tuna and Terrance there was no way we could not have indulged in taking home some of these very interesting and flavorful wines.
Went there on a very hot day and enjoyed the tasting on that patio as it was cool there with the wind blowing. We didn’t have a reservation for tasting but they accommodated us anyways. Everyone was really friendly and nice. The wine was delicious, we tried the rose, a couple of whites and reds and loved all of them. Our kids had a great time and my mom who is visiting from India, really loved the trees and flowers on the property! Will definitely be back again!
Firstly the wine is delicious, secondly Lainey is a legend! We arrived with no reservation and a cranky baby during a heat wave, Lainey calmly poured us a taster of Rose and then guided us through all the wines. We should’ve bought more they are lovely (we had our first bottle at the weekend). It was our first wine tasting of the trip and by far the best, Lainey provided the right amount of detail with humour thrown in and was not phased by our small person either. Next time we’re around SF we’re coming back! Ps. Sorry Lainey for the small tip, we landed the day before and I hadn’t got my US tip hat on yet… you deserved a far bigger tip.
By far the best small winery experience in the county. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable. The information is on point. On the property is a large bio dynamic farm. 1500 olive trees surround the property. Picnics available. Tastings are reasonable and waived with purchase. Modeled after a home farm in the south of France. The wines are simple and very drinkable. All from the farm. After the tasting wander the mature ❤️🩹 laid out garden. Cannot go wrong.
Juan was such a welcoming host - easy going and laid back and read the group really well (two one year olds and four adults) and allowed us plenty of our own time to hang out, catch up, and check out all that the property has to offer. The cats were sweet and great for the kiddos to check out and the farm store was a great way to cap off our visit. The wines are all easy to drink and hospitality and lovely environment made for a wonderful place for us to wine taste with our kids.
We had an amazing Saturday tasting at Preston. Loved all the wines and were so happy to try favorite European wines like Vermentino and Nero d’Avola. The service from Juan was perfect and we felt so welcomed and the kids ran around on the lawn while we enjoyed the tasting. I could spend all day here. We will be back when we finish the case of wine we bought!

Had a wonderful time there and a relaxing tasting - ordered over $200 worth of wine and when I emailed them they said it was “released” but gave no tracking information- I called repeatedly to no avail- when I get through the person that handles that is “out” and they have no information- canceling the order - don’t have anything shipped- they don’t have a good system - ordered 5/25
