Wow .. what an amazing restaurant!!! Food is delicious, generous and served with love. Feels like i am back home. Can't recommend them enough! ❤️🤤
I’ve been going to Furn Saj for a few months now, and my kids absolutely love it! Their warm manaeesh (zaatar or melty cheese), cheese bites (fatayer), kibbeh, and lahm b’ajin are all incredible. I usually eat keto, and I’ve enjoyed their babaganoush, labneh, and a la carte BBQ — all delicious. We even catered my kids’ joint birthday party with their food — mini manaeesh, lahm b’ajin, fatayer, kibbeh, tabbouleh, and hummus — and everything was a hit! Guests couldn’t stop raving, and there wasn’t a single bite left. I was thrilled to find they offer keto flatbreads, so I didn’t feel left out. The owners and staff are warm and welcoming, the shop is spotless and beautifully designed with charming cultural touches, and there’s plenty of parking (plus Trader Joe’s nearby — bonus!). Furn Saj is one of those rare places that truly has something for everyone. Highly recommend for a comforting lunch or dinner — and don’t forget a refreshing bottle of tan (yogurt drink) on the side!
Only complaint is that the air conditioning is underpowered for the space. But the food was amazing; we came here completely by accident and left going, "we will be coming back here." Definitely get the kofta and the gyro. Bakery next door is owned by the same folks and is also amazing.
This place is very good and in a very unassuming plaza next to the Filipino market. I ordered the mixed lamb/beef gyro wrap and it was very good. The veggies and sauce and meat all went together very well. I would love to come back to try their plates and sides and their pizza as well since they have some interesting Mediterranean style pizzas. The staff was super nice and helpful with the items they offered and providing a lot of info. Their service was pretty quick too.
This has been probably the best takeout experience that I have seen in 28 years on this earth. The staff not only friendly to ask questions and get to know their customer, but going above and beyond to providing excellent customer service and more than family, friendly portions of food. This place felt like home and the employees felt like family and I’m definitely coming back here again. If only I didn’t live 60 miles away. Even though I do definitely worth the drive. Shukran
Authentic and Superb! There’s a line inside and traffic in the store because of how great the food is. We drove 15 miles just to grab a bite, it was worth it. The staff is friendly and funny, seems like a family business that’s passionate about what they’re doing because they clearly know how to make great fatayer! Can’t list everything we got considering we were walking out with boxes and bags of their stuff, however, the highlights are the shawermas and the sarookhs! Usually I post more photos in my reviews, but we ate it all before I could take out my camera.
I watched an Eater LA video about FurnSaj being one of the best Lebanese restaurants in Los Angeles. This is my kind of place! It is a simple counter restaurant in a strip shopping center in Granada Hills with additional locations in Glendora and Calabasas. You have everything from flatbreads and traditional Mediterranean meals to choose from. I went with the cheese boreg mana’ish and the spinach pie. Both were reasonable and delicious! They give a lot of food for the money. They take cash and credit cards as well as Apple Pay and other mobile payment options. Restaurant employees and guests were wearing masks. Based on how great the flatbreads taste, I would definitely go back and try some of the other options on the menu.
Absolutely fabulous Lebanese dishes, with service levels over the top. Convenient location on Balbo, right within the Chase bank strip mall. The restaurant features both indoor and outdoor seating as well as a bakery with delicious Lebanese and Middle Eastern bakery items. A must stop when in the area.
We have been to this restaurant 3 times; we go whenever we head to Socal from Vegas. The food the first 2 times we went were excellent, but this past trip was average. They gave us a couple of old case items and the impossible pizza didnt seem to have as much seasoning. We always get a plate(huge portions), the spicy tomato flatbread, and some case items. Love the hummus and babaganoush. Overall it's a great plantbased option.
3 vegans and we're all VERY satisfied. We got 2-#40, 1 falafel salad. All came with Lebanese bread. Sides were tabouli/humus/salad. We asked for some zatar which was better blend than others. Tahini sauce was white, greasy like coconut fat, not tasty like tahini that we know. Rice, chick'n and tabouli were all delicious-lemon forward, great spices. Portions are very large. Small cafe environment. Prices are reasonable for the large portions.
Yummy Manaeesh! Great to support this small business but our food didn’t come out all together and after we ate and getting ready to leave, the last bit came out. We just took it to go but not sure why everything wasn’t made together and coming out together. The meat maneeesh wasn’t very good and everything is cut up like a pizza into slices.
I have tried their plates and wraps and they are pretty good. I have not tried their pizza or breads yet but I discovered this place about 5 years ago and I have been pleasantly surprised.
We got there at 8:52 pm, 8 minutes before they closes, I asked if they still opened and they say yes. We looked at the menu as it was our first time there than we ordered our dish. Cashier asked if I was gonna dinne in and I said yes of it's still possible and she said yes but another worker passes by and sarcastically she said they only open f9r 2 more minutes. I thought that was not very professional 🤔. If u want to talk a about food, I will say I had have a better Lebanese food before, beef shawarma was cold and meat did not taste right but the french fries was really good and tasty.
First time here. Staff was super helpful to help me decide what to get. Everyone in my group really enjoyed their meal. Huge menu, tons of options. Many vegan options available. Reasonable prices. Some of the portions are big enough to be shared. Clean place, good for a larger group. Outdoor dining available. Big parking lot.
I got a chicken shawarma and it was the driest shawarma I’ve ever had it also tasted like it was sitting 🤢, and I’m Lebanese so ik what shawarma is! And they didn’t even do anything when I mentioned it she was just like you should’ve said something earlier.
Let me start by saying I went to this place because of the menu and prices they have online. But it turns out that when you're actually there, they are so over prized and nothing like the plates seen on Google, they probably serve it like the pictures on google for their family members, but I ordered a combo which was $25 dollars and all I got was 3 pieces of chicken kabob and 3 pieces of beef kabab, a whole load of dry rice "which was mainly what my plate was filled with, RICE", wish it would have at least been good rice but it was disgusting. I also ordered 6 grape leaves rolls, ONLY the rolls. 3 falafels which were completely dried and flavorless. The point is I was very disappointed of this place, all I got was rice practically and the girl that took my order was rude and seemed like she was in a hurry the whole time. Not a very friendly or pleasant place at all. At the end I paid $60 for a meal that was very disappointing. Never again!! I love all kind of middle eastern food, and I have been to many restaurants that serve the same type of food, and by far this was the only poor food, poor serving, poor service, poor flavor that I have been to. Save your money and go elsewhere.
I had chicken shawerma and fattoush. Their portions are large, but I couldn't eat a quarter of them. The shawerma was very dry and loaded with chicken skin🤮 Fattoush is not fresh at all. The place is super hot. If you asked to use the restroom, they will tell you to go out and use Trader's Joe's because they don't have one.
